"en": "This resource consists of a typological database and accompanying textfiles with additional notes. The database contains information on standard negation structures in a sample of 297 languages from different parts of the world. Standard negation here refers to the negation of declarative main clauses with a verbal predicate. Furthermore, there is information on other aspects of negation as well as on polar interrogatives (yes/no questions). The polar interrogatives sample comprises approximately 200 languages at present, and since it overlaps only partially with the sample on standard negation, the database contains coded data from almost 400 languages.",

Standardikiellon osalta tietokannassa on tietoa 297 kielestä. ’Standardikielto’ viittaa tässä verbipredikaatin sisältäviin deklaratiivisiin päälauseisiin soveltuviin kieltorakenteisiin. Aineistossa on tietoja muistakin kiellon aspekteista ja myös kyllä/ei-kysymyksistä. Jälkimmäisiä koskeva otos sisältää tietoja noin 200 eri kielestä. Kielet ovat vain osittain päällekkäisiä standardikielto-otoksen kanssa, joten yhteensä tietokannassa on lähemmäs 400 kielestä koodattua dataa."

Jokien vaikutus huomioitiin mallissa painottamalla 52 suurimman joen keskimääräisiä virtaamia. Mallin luotettavuus on parempi rannikolla verrattuna avomerialueisiin mittauksien epätasaisesta spatiaalisesta jakaumasta johtuen.\n \n ***\n \n Original data used for the model was derived from Hertta-database. In addition, limnos- and ctd water samples of r/v Aranda were included from the years 2003 – 2013. Salinity recordings were averaged for the summer months (June-August). The effect of rivers was considered by weighting the model with the average flow rate of the 52 largest rivers in the Finnish coast. Model reliability is better near coast than in the open sea due to the uneven spatial distribution of salinity recordings.\n \n ***\n \n För modelleringen användes Hertta databasen och R/V Arandas salthaltighetsmätningar från havsytan från åren 2003 – 2013. Salthaltighetsmätningarna gavs ett medeltal för sommarmånaderna (juni-augusti). Flodernas påverkan togs i beaktan genom att de 52 största flodernas strömningsvolym gavs ett medeltal och betonades. Modellens pålitlighet är bättre vid kusten än vid öppna havsområden på grund av mätningsplatsernas ojämna spatiala fördelning."

"en": "This dataset is part of Project MILDRED, Development Project of Research Data Infrastructure at University of Helsinki. The project started on April 29, 2016. Project aim is to provide University of Helsinki with state-of-the-art research data management service infrastructure. To gain knowledge about researchers' data storage and preservation practices in 2016, an e-survey was sent to the UH research staff about 1) what data repositories they use for depositing their research data; 2) what reasons they had for not depositing data and 3) what alternative storage devices and repository services they used for their data.\r\n\r\nThe dataset consists of e-survey report master file and analysis of the original master file. The files have been anonymized. A readme.rtf file is included to provide full project and data-level documentation."

Data describes modelled seawater temperature near-bottom (1 meter from the seabed) at a resolution of 20 meters. Data has been classified to six classes and visualized in a colour scale from blue (cold) to red (warm). Data requests can be sent to: syke.velmu@environment.fi\n\n***\n\nHAVSVATTNETS TEMPERATUR NÄRÄ BOTTNEN (VELMU)\n\nRastermodellen för havsvattnets temperatur nära bottnen har producerats i SYKE för VELMU programmet (Programmet för inventeringen av den marina undervattensmiljön). Modellen visar temperaturen i 20x20 meters noggrannhet. Modellen är indelad i 6 olika klasser och visualiserad med en färgskala som går från blått (kallt) till rött (varmt). In addition, limnos- and ctd water samples of r/v Aranda were included from the years 2003 – 2013. Temperature recordings were averaged for the summer months (June-August). Model reliability is better near coast than in the open sea and deeper areas due to uneven spatial distribution of temperature recordings. *** För modelleringen av temperaturen användes Hertta databasen och R/V Arandas limons och ctd mätningsresultat från åren 2003 – 2013. Temperaturmätningarna gavs ett medeltal för sommarmånaderna (juni-augusti). Sen avulla voi tarkastella vesiliikenteen rajoitusalueita Suomessa.\r\n\r\nRajoitusalueita ovat vesiliikennelain nojalla asetetut liikennerajoitukset. Rajoituspäätöksiä ovat antaneet aiemmin vanhat lääninhallitukset (vuoteen 1995 saakka), vapaakunnat (vuosina 1989-1996) ja vuodesta 1995 lähtien alueelliset ympäristökeskukset (nykyiset ELY-keskukset). Merenkulkulaitoksen ylläpitämiä yleisiä kulkuväyliä koskevia rajoituksia ovat tehneet vuoteen 1994 asti lääninhallitukset, vuodesta 1995 kesäkuun loppuun 1996 alueelliset ympäristökeskukset (nykyiset ELY-keskukset) ja sen jälkeen Merenkulkulaitoksen merenkulkupiirit. \r\n\r\nKarttapalvelun käyttämä aineisto koostuu vesiliikenteen rajoitusalueista. Alueiden rajausten lisäksi aineistot sisältävät tietoa itse päätöksistä ja niiden sisältämistä rajoituksista. \r\n\r\nVäyliä koskevat rajoitukset eivät ole mukana tässä karttapalvelussa. "en": "## Introduction\r\nThe DigiSami project (www.helsinki.fi/digisami/) aims to study the effect of digitalisation on small Finno-Ugric language communities and to support visibility and revitalisations of the endangered languages by creating digital content as well as developing language and speech technology tools, resources, and applications that can be used for automatic speech and language processing. The project focuses especially on the North Sami language, and explores various spoken language issues (speaker identification, multimodal conversation analysis, laughing), with the challenging goal of demonstrating viability of an interactive dialogue system in the North Sami language, SamiTalk, following the multilingual open-domain robot application WikiTalk. WikiTalk is an interactive robot application that enables users to find out more about subjects that interest them by discussing with the humanoid robot. They can navigate through the Wikipedia articles, ask for more information on interesting subjects, and get the robot to read the related Wikipedia article for them.\r\n\r\n## Data collection\r\nThe project organsied Sami language data collection and Wikipedia article writing through series of community events. The participants were invited to take part in three different tasks: discussion and writing Wikipedia articles, reading aloud of existing Wikipedia texts, and taking part in a free conversation which was video recorded. The events took place in the central Sami speaking areas, selected so that they represented different North Sami dialects. The locations were three villages in Finland: Utsjoki (Ohcejohka), Inari (Anár) and Ivalo (Avvil), and two villages in Norway: Kautokeino (Guovdageaid) and Karasjoki (Kárásjohka). (see more of the DigiSami data and data collection in).\r\nText readings and conversations were recorded by EDIROL R4Pro four-channel recording device with AKG 417 L-microphones. Two Panasonic HC-X920 video cameras and three GoPro HERO3 cameras were used for video-recordings. Conversational speech was also recorded by the cameras own microphone.\r\nThe reading took place in a calm and normal speaking manner, and the participant could study the articles in advance. The conversations were between two or three people, and the participants were instructed to discuss freely about their own interests or about the Wikipedia articles they were to write (e.g. Sami language, Sami costume, music, reindeer herding, and snow- mobiles). The topics vary from everyday life (next vacation, driving school, cars) to translation between Sami and other languages and to technological tools that have been made to help writing North Sami more correctly. The conversations differ in style: familiar participants have casual conversations and they often refer to things they had been talking about earlier. Conversations between a pupil and a teacher are more formal and resemble interviews rather than conversations.\r\n\r\n## Dataset statistics and organization\r\nThere were 28 participants, 10 men and 18 women. Their age range from 16 to 65 years: 17 were 16-21 years old, five 30-44 years old, and six 49-65 years old. The participants were native speakers of North Sami, and almost all (26) reported using North Sami daily; one participant reported using North Sami weekly and one participant monthly. All participants were bilingual, and spoke either Finnish (Utsjoki, Ivalo, Inari), or Norwegian (Kautokeino and Karasjoki). Most participants had lived their life in the Spmi area, although not in the same place. Ten participants had also lived in bigger cities in the southern part of the area, Oulu and Rovaniemi in Finland and Bergen in Norway, for a short period of time.\r\n\r\n## Contents and annotations\r\nThe dataset provides recording in two primitive types of data: audio and video, which are annotated for three different tasks:\r\n\r\n* The transcriptions are provided in both North Sami, and translated English.\r\n* The laughter annotations mark the laughing events from each speaker.\r\n* The topic annotations, in English, specify discussing topic along the conversation.\r\n\r\nFor more information concerned the structure of the dataset, you can check the Readme.txt included in the dataset."

Rajaukset toteutettiin ensin koko Suomen rannikon kattavasti asiantuntijaryhmässä, jonka jälkeen rajaukset tarkastettiin ja korjattiin aluekohtaisesti Metsähallituksen aluemeribiologien avulla.\n\n***\n\nRIVER ESTUARIES (1130)\n\nThe estuary /delta polygons have been created by following the descriptions of N2000 Habitat type guide (2001) by Airaksinen ja Karttunen as well as N2000 habitat type inventory program (version 6, 2016). The outlining was done first along the whole Finnish coast in an expert group followed by observing and correcting locally with the help pf regional marine biologists from the Parks and Wildlife Finland. \n\n***\n\nESTUARIER (1130)\n\nPolygondatat över estuarier avgränsades enligt beskrivningarna i guiden över N2000 naturtyperna (Airaksinen & Karttunen 2001) och inventeringsguiden av N2000 naturtyper (version 6, 2016). Avgränsningarna gjordes först preliminärt för hela finska kusten inom en expertgrupp. Efter det granskades och korrigerades avgränsningarna med hjälp av Forststyrelsens regionala marinbiologer."

Orthoimagery was used for observing the extent of the sediment plumes and typical vegetation in estuaries, reed belts. \n Rivers flowing to the dammed artificial lakes were not included into the Estuary data set. \n \n ***\n \n Som stöd för avgränsningarna använde expertgruppen följande bakgrundsdata: medelmåttliga vattenflödet (åar med kontinuerlig mätning), flöde enligt VELMALA-modellen (åar utan kontinuerlig mätning), djupdata och salthalts modell på havssidan. If not, see http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/.\r\n\r\n\r\n## Data Description\r\n\r\nThe data consists of facial surface EMG signals from the muscles\r\ncorrugator supercilii, zygomaticus major, orbicularis oris, orbicularis\r\noculi, and masseter.\r\n\r\nFifteen participants (8 females, 7 males) participated in the\r\nexperiments for data collection. Their age was between 26 and 57 years\r\n(mean 40.7, standard deviation 9.6). They all had normal or\r\ncorrected-to-normal vision and normal hearing by their own report.\r\n\r\nThe experiments were conducted in two phases. In the A phase, the\r\nparticipant performed voluntary smile, lip pucker, and frown movement\r\ntasks while EMG signals from zygomaticus major, orbicularis oris,\r\norbicularis oculi, and corrugator supercilii were measured from the\r\nright side of the face. B phase included the measurement of zygomaticus\r\nmajor, orbicularis oris, orbicularis oculi, and masseter from the right\r\nside of the face while the participant performed smile and pucker\r\nmovement tasks while chewing a gum. Both phases had resting tasks\r\nbetween the movement tasks. The resting task was a neutral expression\r\nin the first phase, but included chewing in the second one. Phases\r\nstarted with a 1-minute-long resting task. Then 10 repetitions of each\r\nmovement tasks were performed in randomized order. Each task lasted for\r\n6 seconds. The movements were instructed to be performed as naturally as\r\npossible for the time that an on-screen instruction was visible.\r\nInstructions regarding movement intensities were not given, and the\r\nparticipants were not informed that their eye blinks will be monitored\r\nto avoid causing abnormal blinking. \r\n\r\nThe used experimental software was E-Prime [1] stimulation software. The\r\nfacial surface EMG signals were measured with a NeXus-10 physiological\r\nmonitoring device by Mind Media BV. The sampling rate was 2048 Hz.\r\nFiltering was not set from the measurement software but the hardware is\r\nto be expected to have antialiasing filters. The measurements were\r\nbipolar using pre-gelled, sintered Ag–AgCl electrodes. A separate\r\ngrounding electrode was used on the forehead, and the electrodes were\r\nplaced according to the guidelines of Fridlund and Cacioppo [2] as shown\r\nin the images accompanied with the dataset. Corrugator supercilii was\r\nleft out from the second phase of the experiments because the\r\nmeasurement device only had 4 channels, and the muscle is not as\r\nimportant in facial pacing as the others are. \r\n\r\nThe experiments were recorded with a digital video camera at HD quality\r\nat 25 fps. The recordings are not published due to privacy issues. They\r\nwere visually inspected to find out the onset and termination of each\r\neye blink. The beginning each movement task was also determined from the\r\nvideo where the instructions shown to the participant were visible.\r\nScreenshots of the videos are included to illustrate the experimental\r\nsetup. Eye blinks were classified to three categories: ones with a small\r\neyelid movement where the pupil wasn't fully covered, ones where the\r\npupil was fully covered and once where the eye lids was fully closed.\r\nSome participants performed multipart blinks where the previous one\r\nhadn't ended before the second one started.
