It has been fitted with QUIP/GAP by generating a new database of atomic structures containing: \r\n1. dimers Sn-Sn, Sn-O, O-O;\r\n2. Sn, SnO, SnO2 bulk structures;\r\n3. surface slabs;\r\n4. nanoparticles (SnO_(93.8-81.3)%, SnO_50%, SnO_(19-3.1)%, Sn)\r\nThe calculations were carried out at the PBE level of theory using the VASP code. This potential uses 2-body (distance_2b) and SOAP-type descriptors (soap_turbo). "en": "This release contains the raw data that are used in the paper titled Traffic count estimation using crowd-sourced trajectory data in the absence of dedicated infrastructure. The raw trajectory data interpreted camera data with signal timing information, traffic counts and queue lengths data were collected at a single-lane signalised road intersection at the Webel-More in Kolkata. Validation datasets are manually collected using a video camera installed at the observer's location. A ground-truth dataset of vehicle counts, departure headways, and signal timing is manually constructed using time-stamped video camera footage and visual inspection. A smartphone-equipped vehicle with the GPSlogger Android application is used to collect the set of vehicle trajectory data."

"en": "This is a database of PtAu and hydrogenated PtAu:H nanoparticles generated with a GAP interatomic potential for PtAu:H [1]. The files are provided in ASE's extended XYZ format. The database contains the following entries: lowest_PtAu.xyz: 11 nanoparticles from 0% to 100% Au content at 10% intervals. These are the lowest in energy for each composition among a significantly larger database of candidates (with 770 entries). They were generated with a \"cooking\" protocol [2]. hydrogenated_ordered.xyz: 880 PtAu:H nanoparticles generating by adding hydrogen to the 11 \"bare\" nanoparticles in \"lowest_PtAu.xyz\". The hydrogen was added using a heuristic Markov-chain Monte Carlo approach with a defined chemical potential for hydrogen. For each chemical potential (8 values within the range -3 eV to -2.1 eV), 10 configurations were run per starting bare nanoparticle, with 2000 steps of the heuristic algorithm (which includes full geometric optimization at each step). The attached structures are the last snapshot of each Monte Carlo trajectory, and represent the expected hydrogen coverage at the given chemical potential. The individual entries within the XYZ file have tags with self-explanatory names for the chemical potential (\"mu\") and the random initialization (\"i_rand\"). The reference paper with more details will be added here once it is available as a preprint or published in a journal."

"en": "Gaussian approximation potential (GAP) [1] for the platinum-gold-hydrogen system. It can be safely used to generate PtAu nanoparticles throughout the whole composition range and to hydrogenate them (add adsorbed H on the surface). For any other system, the accuracy and stability of the potential should be specifically tested (e.g., against reference DFT calculations). It has been fitted with gap_fit [2] by generating a new database of atomic structures containing: bulk PtAu structures, including 3x3x3 supercells with substitutional alloying as determined by cluster-expansion configurations generated by the CASM code [10]; PtAu surface slabs, with random alloying and H adsorption at different coverages; iteratively generated PtAu clusters (nanoparticles), following a similar approach as in Ref. [3], and adding H coverage to those. The calculations were carried out at the PBE level of theory [4] using the VASP code [5,6]. This potential uses 2-body (distance_2b) and SOAP-type descriptors (soap_turbo) [7,8]. The files can be used both with QUIP/GAP (compiled with the soap_turbo libraries) and TurboGAP [9]. The reference publication for this potential will be added in time (e.g., when a preprint is available, and then updated when a journal publication is available)."

"en": "We present a dataset of acoustic measurements with a focus on covering a broad spectrum of room-acoustic conditions. The main motivation was to collect data from complex, real-world multi-room environments in which energy decay functions (EDFs) are characterized by multiple decay slopes. The dataset is accompanied by positional information and visual documentation in the form of 360˚ photographs. A total of 4032 room impulse responses were measured in three distinct indoor environments using a KEMAR head and torso simulator and a Zoom H3 ambisonics microphone array."

"en": "The uploaded data contains (i) \"01_Data\" optimized molecular structure in XYZ format and the primary attributes and SMILES, (ii) \"02_Datasets\" datasets used in the publication, and (iv) \"03_pynb_script\" a Jupyter-Notebook. The 01_Data directory contains more than 8000 subdirectories. Each is for a molecule that undergoes a two-proton two-electron transfer reaction. In each subdirectory, one finds the following files: (1) directories named corresponding to the ones in Figure 1 of the paper. Inside each, there are geometries and properties in XYZ and CSV format, respectively. (2) \"freeEnergy.dat\" contains the free energy of different states. (3) \"schemesquare.dat\" has the parameters of the electrochemical scheme of square representation. The new version (v1.1) contains some updates around: (i) The DFT calculations workflow in a folder called \"04_workflow_of_DFT\" The Gaussian input files have been explained in the \"README\" file. (ii) The Python scripts for data extraction have been added and can be found in \"05_how_to_extracted_data\" (iii) We explained how to compute the Purbaix diagram in great detail \"06_how_to_compute_Pourbaix_diagram/\" All these changes/improvements were applied/made following the Referee of Digital Discovery Journal. The upload contains two datasets (version 1.0.0): urban_with_gnss_dead_zones (7.0 GB, ~16 minutes) City streets A building is passed through on two occasions which makes the GNSS location signal unavailable at times. RTK Fix is acquired at times suburban_nature (10.6 GB, ~19 minutes) The route begins on a suburban street but quickly turns into a nature trail. Lots of vegetation The RTK solution is only Float or None most of the route. Details on collecting the data: Software The data was collected using this open-source recorder. Can be easily replayed using SpectacularAI's SDK (sdk-examples/python/oak/vio_replay.py) Each dataset contains a map of the travelled route in Otaniemi, Espoo, Finland. Necessary files to implement SLAM are included in the dataset. Use of NTRIP and the high precision GNSS antenna enables global positioning accuracy of only few centimeters. "en": "We present telerobotics as a novel form of intergroup contact to reduce prejudice and bring about positive social change between groups in conflict. Based on our previous conceptual framework and set of design hypotheses, we conducted a survey that confronts the theory with empirical data on acceptance and preferences of the telerobotic intergroup contact approach in Israel and Palestine. The results shed light on differences in attitudes between the groups and on design considerations for telerobotics when used for intergroup contact. The study serves as a foundation for implementing this novel method of technology-enhanced conflict resolution in the field. The data was analyzed in R software. The archive contains the survey data and the code analyses. The research is supported by The Kone Foundation"

Song, Y., Gordon, P. C., Metsomaa, J., Rostami, M., Belardinelli, P., & Ziemann, U. in submission, 2023. Summary: We aimed to investigate TEPs and their test-retest reliability when targeting regions outside M1, specifically the left angular gyrus (AG), supplementary motor area (SMA), and medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC), using an optimized sham procedure. We conducted three identical TMS–EEG sessions one week apart involving 24 healthy participants. In each session, we targeted the three areas separately using a figure−of−eight TMS coil for active TMS, while a second coil away from the head produced auditory input for sham TMS. Masking noise and electric scalp stimulation were applied in both conditions to achieve matched EEG responses to peripheral sensory inputs. TMS-EEG recording: For each TMS-EEG session, we divided into three TMS-EEG blocks that correspond to three cortical targets: AG, SMA, and mPFC. EEG signals were recorded with a TMS-compatible system (NeurOne, Bittium). Electrodes were placed according to the International 10-5 system in an elastic cap (EasyCap BC-TMS-64, EasyCap). EEG was sampled at 5 kHz (device filter DC-1250Hz), and electrode CPz served as the reference online. We recorded 150 pulses for the active conditions per cortical target and 150 for sham conditions. Visual analog scale (VAS): Participants rated their perception of auditory and somatosensory inputs from the active and sham conditions, ranging from 0 to 10. 0 represented no perception, and 10 described maximal perception. The VAS included items assessing the intensity of auditory sensation, the intensity of scalp sensation, the area size of scalp sensation, and the intensity of pain or discomfort. Each item rating was replicated twice. Dataset: The present dataset consists of: 24 data files from 24 healthy participants, each includes preprocessed eeg signals stored in fieldtrip data structure per cortical target per session [Note: each dataset is merged with active ('1') and sham ('2') events]. Single-pulse TMS was applied in resting state over primary motor cortex, with simultaneous EEG recording from the scalp and EMG recording from hand muscles. The dataset is intended for use by the code published at: https://github.com/mariaermolova/CSPAnalysis. The dataset is structured as follows: each .mat file corresponds to a single subject and contains a matlab structure with the following substructs. 1. EEG data from 1.5 sec. before each TMS pulse (eeg). The data was preprocessed: bad trials and channels removed, signals detrended, ICA components corresponding to oculographic artefacts removed. 2. EEG channel locations on the scalp (chanlocs) and indices of channels removed during preprocessing (removedChannels). 3. Peak-to-peak amplitudes of Motor Evoked Potentials for each trial (mepSize) and excitability labels for each trial based on the amplitude of the corresponding MEP (labels). Labels correspond to high (1) vs low (0) MEP amplitude."

"en": "Background: In last two decades, the use of high-throughput sequencing technologies has accelerated the pace of discovery of proteins. However, due to the time and resource limitations of rigorous experimental functional characterization, the functions of a vast majority of them remain unknown. As a result, computational methods offering accurate, fast and large-scale assignment of functions to new and previously unannotated proteins are sought after. Leveraging the underlying associations between the multiplicity of features that describe proteins could reveal functional insights into the diverse roles of proteins and improve performance on the automatic function prediction task.\r\nResults: We present GO-LTR, a multi-view multi-label prediction model that relies on a high-order tensor approximation of model weights combined with non-linear activation functions. The model is capable of learning high-order relationships between multiple input views representing the proteins and predicting high-dimensional multi-label output consisting of protein functional categories. We demonstrate the competitiveness of our method on various performance measures. Experiments show that GO-LTR learns polynomial combinations between different protein features, resulting in improved performance. Additional investigations establish GO-LTR’s practical potential in assigning functions to proteins under diverse challenging scenarios: very low sequence similarity to previously observed sequences, rarely observed and highly specific terms in the gene ontology.\r\nImplementation: The code and data used for training GO-LTR is available at https://github.com/aalto-ics-kepaco/GO-LTR-prediction ."

Preprint version: https://doi.org/10.48550/arXiv.2311.00839\r\nThe article studied the effect of the degree of confinement on the propulsion of electromagnetically propelled helical nanoswimmers. The helices were subjected to different degrees of confinement between two infinite parallel plates and driven using a rotating magnetic field at different frequencies. The degree of confinement (Gamma) is defined as the ratio of a helix’s outer diameter over the distance between the two boundary plates. At the highest level in the directory hierarchy, there are two folders, i.e., “Simulation_Production_Files”, and “Simulations_by_Nanoswimmers”. The first one consists of the source code of the Lattice-Boltzmann Method package implemented in LAMMPS used for running the simulations. It also includes a Matlab script used for calculating the required simulation variables to put in the LAMMPS input script for a given simulation. The other folder, i.e., “Simulations_by_Nanoswimmers”, has subfolders first broken down by the swimmer’s name (i.e., H0-8), then by Gamma, and finally by field driving frequency. Each simulation folder, i.e., at “Simulations_by_Nanoswimmers/H0*/Gamma_0.*/Field_Frequency_*/”, consists of seven types of file as described in the table below. File Description script.in LAMMPS input script. LAMMPS executes calculations by reading commands from this file. H*.data Swimmer’s geometry data file. This lists the xyz coordinates of the constituent atoms of the helix’s surface area. bodies-*.lammpstrj A simulation output file. This lists the xyz coordinates of all helix’s atoms per timestep. H1cm-*.lammpstrj A simulation output file. This lists the xyz coordinates and linear velocities of the helix’s center of mass per timestep. H1omega-*.lammpstrj A simulation output file. This lists the xyz coordinates and linear velocities of an outer atom (i.e., an atom with a distance of minor radius plus major radius from the helix’s centerline). The tangential velocities of this atom are used to calculate the helix’s angular velocity. H1plane-*.lammpstrj A simulation output file. This lists the xyz coordinates of the three atoms used to construct a hypothetical plane fixed with respect to the helix body. This plane is used to keep track of orientation when calculating the helix’s angular velocity. torques-*.txt A simulation output file. These list the viscous drag torque experienced by the helix around the x-, y-, and z- axes. The asterisks refer to the Shell (bash) wildcard character."

"en": "This dataset contains photos of a plain white wall, taken with the Sony A6400 camera with the Sony SEL18135 lens, under varying exposure levels, for the purpose of parameter estimation for natural steganography. The zoom level is set 135mm (maximum) and the lens is out-of-focus. The ISO and shutter speed are manually varied to generate different exposure levels. All other settings of the camera are default. The scene is illuminated by four Four Lupa Superpanel Dualcolour LED panels placed 1.5m away from the wall, with power set to 50% and colour temperature 5600K. A detailed documentation of the creation and analysis of this dataset is published in an article titled Dataset, Noise Analysis, and Automated Parameter Estimation for Natural Steganography by Woo, Yiu, Yin, and Lai in IH&MMSec'24."

"en": "Abstract Background COVID-19 has had wide-reaching effects on healthcare services beyond the direct treatment of the pandemic. Most current studies have reported changes in realised service usage, but the dynamics of how patients engage with healthcare services are less well understood. We analysed the effects of COVID-19 on healthcare bookings and cancellations for various service channels between January 2020 and July 2021. Methods Our data includes 7.3 million bookings, 11.0 million available appointments, and 405.1 thousand cancellations by 900.6 thousand individual patients between the ages of 18 and 65 years. The data were collected from electronic health record data, including laboratory and imaging services as well as inpatient stays, between January 2017 and July 2021. The patients were Finnish private and occupational healthcare customers in the capital region of Finland. We fitted an autoregressive moving average (ARIMA) model on data between 2017 and 2019 to predict the expected numbers of bookings, available appointments, and cancellations, which were compared to observed time series data between 2020 and 2021. Results Utilisation of physical, in-person primary care physician appointments decreased by up to 50% during the first 18 months of the pandemic. At the same time, digital care channels experienced a rapid, multi-fold increase in service usage. Simultaneously, the number of bookings for laboratory and imaging services decreased by 50% below the pre-pandemic projections. The number of specialist and hospital service bookings remained at the predicted level during the study period. Cancellations for most health services increased sharply by up to three times the pre-COVID levels during the first weeks of the pandemic but returned to the pre-pandemic levels for the rest of the study period. Conclusions The reduction in in-person appointments and the increase in the utilisation of digital services was likely a contributing factor in the decrease of the utilisation of diagnostic and imaging services throughout the study period. Utilisation of specialist care and hospital services were not affected. Cancellations contributed to the changes in service utilisation only during the first weeks of the pandemic."

"en": "Abstract Background The combined microbial fuel cell–microbial nutrient recovery system has lately been thoroughly explored from an engineering standpoint. The relevance of microbial communities in this process, on the other hand, has been widely underestimated. Results A lab-scale microbial nutrients recovery system was created in this work, and the microbial community structure was further defined, to give a thorough insight into the important microbial groups in the present system. We reported for the first-time different hybrid anodes of activated carbon and chitosan that were used in the microbial nutrient recovery system for bioenergy production, and, for the removal of COD and recovery of nutrients present in the wastewater. The hybrid anodic materials were studied to adapt electrochemically active bacteria for the recovery of nutrients and energy generation from wastewater without the need for an external source of electricity. The potential of the created hybrid anodes in terms of nutrients recovery, chemical oxygen demand elimination, and energy generation from municipal wastewater was thoroughly examined and compared with each other under similar operating conditions. When the COD loading was 718 mg/L, a total COD removal of ~ 79.2% was achieved with a hybrid activated carbon and chitosan anode having an equal ratio after 10 days of the operation cycle. The maximum power density estimated for hybrid anode (~ 870 mWm−2) was found. Conclusion Overall, this work reveals a schematic self-driven way for the collection and enrichment of nutrients (~ 72.9% phosphorus recovery and ~ 73% ammonium recovery) from municipal wastewater, as well as consistent voltage production throughout the operation."
