"en": "The Turku Dependency Treebank team is building a broad-coverage dependency-annotated treebank of general Finnish. The treebank is annotated in a minor revision of the Stanford dependency scheme (de Marneffe et al. [1,2]). The primary purpose of the treebank is to support Finnish NLP.\n \n The release currently available for download (as of July 2013) comprises 678 documents in the publicly available set and 76 in the held-out test set. The syntax annotation is complete with this release. "fi": "Tämä aineisto sisältää Suomen päävesistöalueet ja valuma-aluejaon Manner-Suomen osalta. Aineisto on toteutettu VALUE -hankkeessa, joka tähtää valtakunnallisen valuma-aluejaon uudistamiseen. Aineisto on valtakunnan kattava kokonaan digitaalisilla tuotantomenetelmillä toteutettu valuma-aluejako. Valuma-aluejako ei vielä tässä vaiheessa sisällä kaikkia niitä tietoja, joita siihen on tarkoitus myöhemmin lisätä. Aineisto on vielä toteutusvaiheessa ja tämä nyt julkaistu versio on ehdotus uudeksi valuma-aluejaoksi. Tätä aineistoa voidaan vielä muuttaa käyttäjien kommenttien perusteella. \n\nAineistossa on päävesistöalueita 73 kappaletta. Nämä vastaavat nykyisiä päävesistöalueita yhdellä poikkeuksella. Tässä jaossa entinen Purmojoen vesistöalue (46) on yhdistetty Ähtävänjoen (47) vesistöalueeseen. Päävesistöalueiden numerointi on nykyiseen jakoon verrattuna ennallaan, mutta niiden rajaukset ja pinta-alat ovat saattaneet muuttua huomattavastikin. Muutos näkyy varsinkin niillä vesistöalueilla, jotka ovat yhteisiä naapurimaiden kanssa. Tässä jaossa nämä vesistöalueet on rajattu saatavilla olevien aineistojen pohjalta mereen saakka (lukuun ottamatta Vuoksen/Nevan vesistöaluetta).\n\nAineistossa on valuma-alueita yhteensä 22 211 kpl. Nykyisin yleisesti käytettävissä olevassa valuma-aluejaossa ns. 3. jakovaihe sisältää 5637 valuma-aluetta.\n\nValuma-alueiden määrittelyssä on käytetty seuraavia rajauskriteereitä. Oman valuma-alueen ovat saaneet kaikki vähintään 50 ha:n kokoiset järvet ja VPD –järvet sekä näihin järviin laskevat yli 100 metrin pituiset uomat tai uomajatkumot (uomajatkumolla tarkoitetaan tässä useita peräkkäisiä järvien katkaisemia uomia). Lisäksi oman valuma-alueen saavat kaikki yli 10km2 yläpuolisen valuma-alueen omaavat yli 100 metrin pituiset uomat tai uomajatkumot, jotka päättyvät uomien risteykseen. Mikäli uomien risteyskohta on järvessä, valuma-alue rajataan järven rantaan. Lisäksi suuria järvi-altaita on jaettu tässä valuma-aluejaossa osa-altaisiin (mm. Saimaa ja Oulujärvi).\n\nValuma-alueaineistosta puuttuvat vielä tässä vaiheessa kaikki rannikon pienet mereen virtaavat valuma-alueet, jotka eivät täytä päävesistöalueen kriteeriä (pinta-ala n. 200 km2 tai suurempi) sekä meren saarissa olevat valuma-alueet.\n\nPäävesistöalueiden ja valuma-alueiden reunaviivoja ei ole tässä aineistossa yleistetty, joten niissä näkyy lähtöaineiston rakenteesta johtuva sahalaitaisuus."

"fi": "Tämä aineisto on valtakunnan kattava kokonaan digitaalisilla tuotantomenetelmillä toteutettu valuma-aluejako. Lähtöaineistona on käytetty MML:n 10 metrin ruutukokoon perustuvaa korkeusmallia, jota on täydennetty valtakunnan rajan ulkopuolelle meneviltä osiltaan maailmanlaajuisella ASTER GDEM korkeusmallilla (The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan & National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), USA, 2011). Tätä korkeusmallia on tarkennettu ”polttamalla” siihen SYKEn Ranta10-aineiston uomat, muut virtavedet ja järvet. Ranta10 pohjautuu MML:n maastotietokantaan. Tämän parannetun korkeusmallin avulla on laadittu hydrologista D8-virtaussuunta-algoritmia hyödyntäen ns. virtaussuuntarasteri, jossa jokaiselle hilaruudulle on määritelty se ilmansuunta, johon vesi kyseisestä ruudusta virtaa. Tämän virtaussuuntarasterin ja Ranta10-aineiston mereen purkautuvien uomien avulla on sitten määritetty ensin 73 päävesistöaluetta, jotka on sitten edelleen jaettu yhteensä 22 211:een valuma-alueeseen. Päävesistöalueiden ja valuma-alueiden reunaviivoja ei ole tässä aineistossa yleistetty, joten niissä näkyy lähtöaineiston rakenteesta johtuva sahalaitaisuus."

Turbidity is caused by phytoplankton, minerals or dead organic matter in water. A turbidity weekly composite calculated in the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) is a pixel-wise weekly average of images of the past week or - if no more good images are available - the best image of the past week. Envisat MERIS (Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer) 3rd Reprocessing data has been processed to turbidity values using C2R (Case 2 Regional) algorithm. The dataset covers years 2003-2011. The spatial resolution is 300 meters. \n\n\t\tSuomen ympäristökeskuksessa (SYKE) seurataan satelliittikuvilta Itämeren sameutta sulan veden aikaan. Veden sameus koostuu vedessä olevista pienistä hiukkasista (kasviplankton, mineraalit tai kuollut orgaaninen aines). Sameuden määrä on laskettu Envisat MERIS (Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer) -instrumentin 3rd Reprocessing -datasta käyttäen C2R (Case 2 Regional) -vedenlaatuprosessoria. Sameuden viikkokomposiitti sisältää pikselikohtaisen keskiarvon kyseisen viikon havannoista tai viikon ainoan kuvan. Aineisto koostuu vuosien 2003-2011 viikkokomposiiteista. Kuvien maastoerotuskyky on 300 metriä. Aineisto kuuluu SYKEn avoimiin aineistoihin (CC BY 4.0)."

"en": "In the framework of my dissertation project "On Governance of Quality Shipping in the Baltic Sea" (2010-2014), I have conducted a number of expert interviews in Finland and Russia. The goal of the research interviews was to find out more about the interaction of actors with potential to influence Baltic energy transport. In particular, they aimed at clarifying how does the existing governance instrument mix affects the Baltic oil transport, mainly from Russian Baltic ports. The semi-structured interviews took place in June 2011 (St. Petersburg, N=8) and April 2012 and May 2013 (Helsinki Capital Area and Finland Proper, N=5). The interviewees was granted anonymity."

"und": "Satellite remote sensing is used to monitor the chlorophyll-a (ug/l) of surface water in the Baltic Sea during the open water season from April to October. Chlorophyll-a (chl-a) represents the quantity of algae in the water but not directly the amount of cyanobacterium. A daily chlorophyll-a product is calculated in the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) using Envisat MERIS (Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer) 3rd Reprocessing data. Satellite data have been processed to chl-a concentrations using FUB (Freie University of Berlin) algorithm. The dataset covers years 2003-2011. The spatial resolution is 300 meters.\n\t\t\n\t\tSuomen ympäristökeskuksessa (SYKE) seurataan satelliittikuvilta Itämeren a-klorofyllipitoisuutta (ug/l) sulan veden aikaan. A-klorofyllin avulla voidaan arvioida levän määrää vedessä. Se on myös keskeinen tekijä veden rehevyystason arvioinnissa. A-klorofyllin määrä on laskettu Envisat MERIS (Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer) -instrumentin 3rd Reprocessing -datasta käyttäen FUB (Freie University of Berlin) -vedenlaatuprosessoria.
