"en": "This dataset contains data on the distribution and abundance of the Glanville fritillary butterfly (Melitaea cinxia), its host plants Plantago lanceolata and Veronica spicata, and its parasitoid Cotesia melitaearum, in the Åland archipelago in Finland. \n\nThe study species M. cinxia has been surveyed since 1991 in a metapopulation network of circa 4000 dry meadow habitat patches in a study area of circa 50 by 70 km. The presence of one of its specialist parasitoids C. melitaearum was included in 1993. This dataset covers the years 1993-2017. \nData are recorded bi-annually by field assistants. First over a two-week period from late August to early September the patches are visited to search for the presence and abundance of the M. cinxia larval over-wintering nests. Second in the following spring, the occupied patches are revisited to record data on overwinter survival of the larval families and on the potential presence of the parasitoid . Before 2010, data were recorded by hand on paper maps and forms and then entered manually to spreadsheets, and later to a database. The locations and shapes of habitat patches were recorded with GPS devices. From 2010 onwards, the data have been systematically collected and managed with the EarthCape database management system (earthcape.com) Earthcape is used in the field on tablet / laptop computers to find the patches and record data with both GPS and topographic maps. The resulting updated database is then checked for errors, cleaned up and merged with the central database, also maintained with Earthcape. The database is relational in structure in order to handle the different levels of data collection. For more details on how the survey is conducted and data recorded, see Ojanen et al. 2013\n\nThis dataset contains data on three nested levels: Patch, Locality visit and Nest. The patch-level file has one row per patch, and the variables describe location and geometry for the (habitat) patch. The Locality visit -file has one row per location*survey combination, and the variables describe patch level habitat quality, host plant abundance and quality, total numbers of M. cinxia nests in the patch classified in several different ways, and total numbers of C. melitaearum in the patch for the particular survey. The nest-level file has one row per M. cinxia over-wintering nest, and the variables describe the location*survey when it was recorded, detailed location information, and host plant and dead/alive status of each nest.\n\nOver the 25 years of surveying, the exact variables recorded have varied somewhat according to researcher’s needs and the development of theory around the survey (Ovaskainen & Saastamoinen 2018). Certain core variables have been recorded every year and those have been included in this dataset, but we also include some variables that have not been recorded every year and therefore have missing data for some years.\n\nThe network of habitat patches is temporally dynamic and thus has also changed shape over the years: new habitat patches of M. cinxia host plants can appear and existing ones can disappear. Patches can also change shape as the host plants spread to new areas or when e.g. construction has removed host plants from other areas. The patch-level geometry variable always gives the most recently recorded geometry of the patch, but when the patch shape has changed, the new geometry has been recorded on the Locality visit level for the year in question. Sometimes separate patches merge into a single patch. In this dataset, patch merging has been performed retroactively to facilitate using the data as a long-term repeated survey. "en": "This repository holds two datasets: one with both the original binaries and the code sections extracted from them (“full dataset”), and one with only the code sections (“only code sections”). The code sections were extracted by carving out sections of the binary that were marked as executable. The binaries were scraped from Debian repositories.\n\nThere are also two CSV files available, one with full binaries and one with only code sections, which include the 293 features extracted from about 3000 binaries per architecture. These features can be used to train classifiers.\n\nThe dataset consists of thousands of binaries for the following 23 architectures: alpha, amd64, arm64, armel, armhf, hppa, i386, ia64, m68k, mips, mips64el, mipsel, powerpc, powerpcspe, powerpc64, powerpc64el, riscv, s390, s390x, sh4, sparc, sparc64 and x32.\n\nThere are 98 500 binary files, about 27 gigabytes (uncompressed) of binary files and about 15 gigabytes (uncompressed) of only code sections from those binary files.\n\nBoth datasets hold the binaries in directories named by the architecture. The files inside the folders are named as MD5 hashes of the original binary files, and a hash file ending with “.code” contains only the concatenation of all code sections of the original binary file. Each architecture folder also holds a JSON file named after the architecture, e.g. amd64 holds amd64.json. "en": "# DOUAR software and input files\n\nThis repository contains the software DOUAR and the input files needed to reproduce the results presented in the article \"Controls on continental strain partitioning above an oblique subduction zone, Northern Andes\" by Jorina Schütt and David Whipp. The organization of the files in this repository is described below.\n\n## DOUAR software\n\nThe source code of the version of DOUAR capable of producing the results in the aforementioned article is available in this repository as the file `douar-wsmp.tar.gz`. You can find instructions for compiling DOUAR in the `README` file in the source code archive. This version of the code relies on use of the proprietary [WSMP solver available from IBM](https://researcher.watson.ibm.com/researcher/view_group.php?id=1426). Compilation and use of the DOUAR software is not trivial and interested parties are encouraged to contact David Whipp (david.whipp@helsinki.fi) if they encounter difficulty in compiling the software or reproducing our results. "en": "This manuscript put into a historical context the continuities and discontinuities of the employment conceptions and policies of leading social democrats in Sweden and Finland 1975–1998. It concentrates on the decision-making of the most influential political parties in the two Nordic countries at that time, the Swedish Social Democratic Party (SAP) and the Social Democratic Party in Finland (SDP), including social democrats inside the central organisations of blue collar trade unions (SAK in Finland and LO in Sweden).\nResearching the roots of relationship between Nordic Social Democracy, employment and globalisation has become a topical theme after the Great Recession of the twenty-first century and the following uncertainty in the global labour markets have been intertwined with the rising of nationalist, extremist and populist sentiments in the 2010s. The dawning deglobalization has been affected by a record-level global unemployment rate, which is predicted to rise despite the fact that only a quarter of global workforce is employed on a permanent, not always full-time contract .\nThe transformation of Keynesian post-Second World War Western welfare states and their full employment policies turned into unemployment-hit Schumpeterian post-national workfare regimes from the mid-1970s onwards . Unemployment also increased in the wage work-oriented Nordic societies , which represented to some scholars a generous social democratic welfare state model . The Nordic welfare states were not solely social democratic constructions , but influential social democrats urged the maintenance or achievement of full employment . Thus, analysing employment-sensitive concepts and policies of Nordic social democrats reveals integral pain spots, which the famous Nordic model has confronted in an era of globalizing capitalism."

"en": "This dataset contains the observations of the Sun made with various radio-frequency instruments at the Aalto University Metsähovi Radio Observatory since 1978. The dataset is growing when new observations are added every month. The data are mostly raw data or output from the various measurement systems; calibration is left for the user. However, ready plots are available for most of the astronomically interesting observations.\n\nThis dataset contains:\n(i)\ttotal intensity maps of the solar disk measured with the 14-metre radio telescope at 37 GHz since 1978 (data from years 1978-1987 are digitized from contour plot printouts and converted to match the modern data format),\n(ii)\ttotal intensity of the Sun at 11.2 GHz, measured continuously with a 1.8-metre radio telescope since 2001,\n(iii)\tother data such as total irradiance / pyrheliometer data, telescope pointing data, weather parameters, and other auxiliary information."

"en": "EMOT-project was carried out in the Faculty of Education, University of Oulu, Finland in 2013-19 and was funded by the Academy of Finland. The project focused on beginning teachers’ experiences of their work and especially, how the emotional dimension was present in their stories. The first data set includes narrative interviews with teachers, who were just beginning their careers. Altogether three interviews were conducted with each teacher during the first two years of their teaching careers. Additionally, two group discussions were conducted with these participating beginning teachers. The second data set consists of narrative interviews with teachers, who had about five years of post-graduation work experience and looked back in the interviews at the beginning of their teaching careers. Altogether twenty-seven teachers participated in the data collection of the project. All data collection aimed at beginning teachers being able to openly tell about their own experiences."

"en": "This data publication was done for preservation of SMEAR data. It links together 12 published datasets that contain continuous long-term environmental measurements under different themes or fields of science (meteorology, soil, air chemistry, fluxes, tree ecophysiology, water quality). See the list of related datasets in the metadata and in the .pdf file of this dataset. The data were exported from SMEAR database in early June 2019 and cover time period from the beginning of the station operation or measurements until the end of 2017 or 2018 (if the station or measurements were still in operation at that time). The oldest data originate in year 1992. The data are so called end-user data, that is, they have undergone processing from raw signals into relevant physical units, quality check by expert scientists and technicians, and aggregation into regular time intervals, mostly 1-minute or 30-minute averages. Information on the stations, measurements and data can be found in each dataset in the 'intro' and 'readme' files in .pdf format. The data are in tabular form in yearly .csv files. The columns of the data files are described in more detail in 'VariableMetadata' files in .csv format."

"fi": "Miksi KYVYKÄS-menetelmä on yrityksille hyödyllinen?\n\nMenetelmällä tehtävä kyvykkyysanalyysi auttaa yritystä tekemään tietoisia ja objektiivisia päätöksiä johtamis- ja kehittämistyössä. KYVYKÄS-toteutus auttaa yritystä tunnistamaan kehittämisprioriteetit, kun tavoitteena on aloittaa tai laajentaa liiketoimintaa kiertotaloudessa. Visuaalisesti helppolukuiset tulokset auttavat kehittämistyöhön liittyvässä sisäisessä viestinnässä. Säännöllisesti toteutettuna menetelmä soveltuu myös kehittämistyön vaikuttavuuden arviointiin. Toisaalta jo tiedonkeruuvaihe itsessään voi tuoda merkittäviä hyötyjä. Jos toteutukseen osallistuu yrityksestä useampia henkilöitä, esim. johtoryhmä, saadaan tiedonkeruuvaiheessa arvokasta tiedonvaihtoa ja yhtenäistetään nykytilakäsitystä. Menetelmä toimii ikään kuin keskustelun struktuurina, joka mahdollistaa asioiden laaja-alaisen läpikäynnin verrattain lyhyessä ajassa. Lisäksi prosessin aikana yritysten tavoitteet selkiytyvät. \n\n \nKenelle KYVYKÄS-menetelmä on tarkoitettu?\n\nMenetelmä on tarkoitettu yritysten johdolle tilanteeseen, jossa yrityksen toimintaa ollaan suuntaamassa vahvemmin kiertotalouteen. Yrityksellä tulisi olla tahtotila käsitellä kiertotalouteen liittyvää uudistamista systemaattisesti ja vähintään vuoden aikajänteellä. Menetelmä soveltuu erinomaisesti tukemaan strategiaprosessia. KYVYKÄS-menetelmä on tarkoitettu ensisijaisesti tekniseen kiertoon osallistuvien yritysten hyödynnettäväksi. Tarkemmin teknisen kierron liiketoimintamalleista Kiertotalouden liiketoimintamallit -raportissa (Halonen & Majuri, 2018). \n\n\nMiten KYVYKÄS-toteutus tehdään?\n\nToteutukset ovat työpajamuotoisia ja datan keruu perustuu itsearviointeihin. Yritykseltä voi olla toteutuksessa mukana vain yksikin henkilö, jolloin toteutus on hyvin kevyt ja kestää noin tunnin. Kun osallistujia on useampia, toteutuksen kesto kasvaa selkeästi, mutta samalla tuotettu data on luotettavampaa, analyysin tuloksiin sitoutuu useampi henkilö ja henkilöstön nykytilakäsitys yhtenäistyy, ts. nykytilaan liittyvän kehitystarpeet ymmärretään samalla tavalla. Tarkemmin toteutuksesta ohjeistuksen toisessa luvussa.\n\n\nMenetelmän tausta\n\nKYVYKÄS-menetelmä kehitettiin Euroopan aluekehitysrahaston osarahoittamassa Kyvykäs-projektissa Tampereen yliopistolla. Projektin tavoitteena oli edistää pirkanmaalaisen kappaletavarateollisuuden edellytyksiä tehdä kannattavaa liiketoimintaa kiertotaloudessa. Projektin aikana menetelmällä tehtiin yli 20 toteutusta, sekä järjestettiin kehittämispajoja käytännön kehittämistoimenpiteiden tueksi. \n\nKYVYKÄS-menetelmä perustuu toimintalogiikaltaan Tampereen teknillisen yliopiston ja yritysten vuonna 2014 kehittämään Strategisen kyvykkyyden indeksi (SKI)-menetelmään. Aineisto on litteroitu tekstimuotoon. \n\nTutkimusaineisto koostuu 12 haastattelusta, jotka on tehty KONE Hissit oy:ssä. Haastatteluaineisto koostuu kymmenen KONE Hissit oy:n järjestämään hissitekniikan koulutusohjelmaan eri aikoina osallistuneen ja työuraansa KONE Hisseillä jatkaneen haastatteluista sekä kahden KONE Hisseillä johtoasemassa työskentelevän henkilön haastatteluista. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli tutkia koulutuksen ja työelämän rajapintoja yritysvetoisessa ammatillisessa koulutuksessa. Haastatteluteemat käsittelivät hissiasentajan koulutusta ja KONE Hissien Teollisuusoppilaitosta, osallistujien koulutustaustaa ja työuraa sekä heidän näkemyksiään hissialasta, sen muutoksista ja tulevaisuuden näkymistä."

"fi": "Tutkimusaineisto on osa Suomen Akatemian strategisen tutkimusneuvoston rahoittaman SWiPE (Fiksu työ alustatalouden aikakaudella) –tutkimuskonsortion tutkimusta. Kyselyaineisto toteutettiin sähköisenä kyselynä keväällä 2017. \n\nTutkimuksen tavoitteena oli analysoida, miten suomalaiset yliopistot suoriutuvat lakisääteisestä kolmannesta tehtävästään. Kyselyn kohdejoukkona olivat kaikki Suomessa toimivat tutkijat kansallisuudesta riippumatta; ulkomaisissa yliopistoissa tms. työskentelevät suomalaiset tutkijat jäivät kohdejoukon ulkopuolelle, mikäli heidän julkaisutiedoissa ei ollut mitään suomalaista organisaatiota mainittu. Kohdejoukkoon pääsy vaati lisäksi, että tutkija oli julkaissut vuosina 2015–2016 vähintään yhden artikkelin jossakin vertaisarvioidussa akateemisessa aikakauskirjassa yksin tai yhdessä muiden tutkijoiden kanssa. Kohdejoukko muodostettiin Thomson Reutersin Web of Science -tietokantaa käyttäen (versio Bibmet). Kyselyssä kartoitettiin tukijoiden kannusteita ja esteitä liittyen tutkimustulosten kaupallistamiseen."

Aineisto kerättiin puolistrukturoituna haastatteluna kesäkuu 2018 ja toukokuu 2019 välisenä aikana pääosin puhelimitse.\n\nAineisto koostuu viidentoista Upwork-alustalla työtä tekevän henkilön haastattelusta, jotka joulukuussa 2017 ilmoittivat Upwork-profiilissaan paikakseen ”Suomi”. Kymmenen haastattelua tehtiin suomeksi ja viisi englanniksi. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli analysoida, millaisilla toimintakonsepteilla ja logiikoilla freelancereilla on mahdollista toimia Upwork-alustan kautta, ja millaista osaamista Upwork-alustatyö edistää. Haastatteluaineisto sisältää kysymyksiä alustatyön historiasta ja roolista haastateltavien elämässä, heidän Upworkin kautta tekemistään projekteista, tukimuodoista sekä heidän oppimis- ja urakehitysmahdollisuuksistaan."
