"en": "This subcorpus is part of the Corpus of Finnish Sign Language collected in the CFINSL project. The subcorpus comprises conversations from 18 Finnish Sign Language signers who belong to different age groups and live in different parts of Finland. The material covers four fixed tasks performed by the signers: introductions, discussing work/hobbies, discussing a topic related to the deaf world, and free discussion (e.g. on travel, sports).\n\nThe material consists of video files and the annotations of the videos in ELAN format as well as the metadata about the signers and the content and format of the videos. All of the video data (six camera angles) has been annotated for signs and translations.\n\nPlease note that the corpus contains personal data and you need to follow the appropriate guidelines in processing the material (see links under Documentation). You also need to apply for access via \"Language Bank Rights\". One application will give you access to all versions of the subcorpus of conversations.\n\nThe corpus is available in the LAT service provided by Kielipankki, The Language Bank of Finland."

"en": "A set of 26 interviews with Finnish historians. Participants included historians from several universities as well as several faculties, departments, and sub-disciplines. Participants included (emeriti) professors, post-docs, senior lecturers, and university teachers, among others. The lengths of interviews ranged from approx. 45 minutes to nearly three hours. Topics of the semi-structured interviews included: developing interest for history, learning in history, changing conceptions of history, \"what is history\", ongoing research projcets and the everyday work related to them, expertise in history, as well as the aims, values, and ideals of historical research and writing.",

Haastateltavat koostuivat suomalaisissa yliopistoissa vuonna 2016 työskennelleistä - tai niihin affilioituneista - historiantutkijoista. Kaikki osallistujat väitelleitä tutkijoita, useasta yliopistosta sekä useasta tiedekunnasta ja oppiaineista. Mukana mm. (emeriti) professoreita, yliopisto-opettajia, yliopistonlehtoreita ja tutkijatohtoreita. Yksittäisen haastattelun pituus vaihteli vajaasta tunnista melkein kolmeen tuntiin. Puolistrukturoiduissa teemahaastatteluissa käsiteltiin mm. seuraavia aiheita: historiaan liittyvän kiinnostuksen muodostuminen, historiaan liittyvä oppiminen, käsitykset siitä \"mitä historia on\" ja näihin käsityksiin liittyvä muutos, käynnissä olevat tutkimusprojektit ja niihin liittyvä arkinen työ, historian asiantuntijuus, sekä historiantutkimuksen tavoitteet, arvot ja ideaalit."

This means that students and staff of universities can use the corpus by simply logging in with their university credentials. Alumni have the option to apply for access via https://lbr.csc.fi.\n\nAccess rights instructions: https:/ /www.kielipankki.fi/support/access (in Finnish: https://www.kielipankki.fi/tuki/kayttooikeudet/) \n\nInstructions on how to access Kielipankki corpora: https://www.kielipankki.fi/support/corpus-location/ (in Finnish: https://www.kielipankki.fi/tuki/aineiston-sijainti/) \n\nThe corpus contains various kinds of linguistic information attached to each token. The corpus was annotated using Salama Tagger.\n\nPreparation of the material\n\nMost of the corpus material was retrieved from the Web. This method was used increasingly after texts in the Web became available. Only texts in news media and on open government pages were retrieved. Some types of texts, such as books, were scanned and proofread. Part of the oldest news material before the time of scanners in the 1980’ies was manually typed.\n\nThe corpus material has gone through a series of formatting and correction routines.\n\n1.\tConverting the text into ascii-format, required by the tagger. There is a wild variety of codes for describing diacritics in Web texts. These had to be formalized.\n2.\tProofreading and correcting the text with a speller.\n3.\tAnalyzing the proofread text for finding still remaining typos and possibly new words.\n4.\tConstructing a correction program that automatically corrects such typos that can be safely corrected. "en": "This repository contains the unprocessed continuous recordings of passive imaging component of the comprehensive COGITO-MIN research project aiming for development of an efficient integrated exploration workflow ranging from regional-scale exploration to detailed resource delineation and mine planning.\n\nPassive seismic experiment was performed in the Kylylahti polymetallic (Cu-Co-Zn-Ni-Ag-Au) mine area between early August to late September 2016 as a part of the COGITO-MIN (COst-effective Geophysical Imaging Techniques for supporting Ongoing MINeral exploration in Europe) project. We used 994 receiver stations distributed regularly over the 3.5 x 3 km area with 200 m line spacing and 50 m receiver interval. Surface conditions varied between exposed bedrock to swamps. Each receiver station consists of the Geospace GSR recorder and 6 x 10-Hz geophones bunched together and buried whenever possible, recording at a 2 ms sample rate for 20 hrs/day for 30 days. As a result, we recorded over 600 hours of ambient noise data per each receiver. In addition, the 3D grid recorded irregularly distributed active shots (both explosives and Vibroseis) specifically designed for the 3D active-source survey as well as those from the 2D seismic profiles crossing the 3D grid. Therefore, a low-fold 3D active-source seismic survey was also acquired to benchmark the results of the passive survey."

License details: http://urn.fi/urn:nbn:fi:lb-20150304151\n\nThe corpus contains all the texts available in the Suomi24 API from the discussion forums of the Suomi24 online social networking website from 1.1.2001 to 24.9.2016. The corpus has been tokenized and annotated with morpho-syntactic analysis by FIN-CLARIN at the Department of Modern Languages, University of Helsinki.\n\nThe tokenized version was created by Aleksi Sahala. Annotation process was then carried out by Jussi Piitulainen (using CSC's Taito cluster). The morpho-syntactic analysis was produced with the Turku Dependency Parser.\n\nResearchers who have a user name and a password can download the entire corpus in the VRT format. University students have to apply for access rights at https://lbr.csc.fi/ (sign in with your university credentials) before being able to download the corpus.",
