"en": "This material package contains seven 3D-printable 3D digitizations of ancient Near Eastern objects, and detailed instructions of the 3D printing process. The language of the material is Finnish.\n\nThe material is created as a part of the research project “Making Home Abroad: Understanding Migrant Experiences and Heritage Implementation in Finland”. The aim of the project was, among other topics, to develop and implement critical, hands-on pedagogical resources from stored-away archaeological objects from the Ancient Near East in Finnish museum collections through 3D digitization and 3D printing. The project was led by Dr. Doc. Rick Bonnie and funded by the Finnish Cultural Foundation. \n\nOver 70 3D digitizations were made of Ancient Near Eastern and Roman objects from the collections of the Finnish Heritage Agency, The Finnish National Museum, the Raahe Museum and the Gallen-Kallela museum. The objects to be digitized were chosen by Dr. Sanna Saari, representing different find types from diverse cultural backgrounds, which support the pedagogical aims of the project. The 3D digitization process was accomplished by Annukka Debenjak-Ijäs, MA during 2020-2021.",
"fi": "Materiaalipakettiin sisältyy seitsemän 3D-tulostukseen valmisteltua muinaisen Lähi-idän arkeologisista löydöistä tehtyä 3D-digitointia, sekä yksityiskohtaiset ohjeet 3D-tulostukseen.\n\nAineisto on luotu osana Making Home Abroad / Kotona Kulttuurissa –tutkimushanketta. Hanke muun muassa tuottaa 3D-digitoinnin ja 3D-tulostamisen avulla opetusmateriaalia suomalaisiin museokokoelmiin kuuluvista arkeologisista löydöistä, joiden alkuperä on Lähi-idässä. Hankkeen johtajana toimii FT Rick Bonnie. \n\nSuomen museoviraston, Kansallismuseon, Raahen museon sekä Gallen-Kallelan museon kokoelmista 3D-digitoitiin noin 70 muinaisen Lähi-Idän ja Rooman alueelta peräisin olevaa esinettä. Digitoitavat esineet valitsi FT Sanna Saari ja 3D-digitoinnin toteutti FM Annukka Debenjak-Ijäs. Tavoitteena oli tuottaa hankkeen pedagogisten tavoitteiden tueksi monipuolinen kokoelma 3D-digitointeja, jotka edustavat erilaisia esinetyyppejä eri kulttuureista. 3D-digitointiprosessi suoritettiin vuosien 2020-2021 aikana."

"en": "GERDA is short for Gerontological Regional Database and is a research collaboration between Umeå University, Åbo Akademi University, Novia University of Applied Sciences, Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, and Åland University of Applied Sciences.\n\nThe data for the GERDA-survey is collected with a postal questionnaire sent to older adults aged 65 years and older. Data has been collected in 2005, 2010, 2016, and 2021 (ongoing). In Finland, the questionnaire has been sent out in either Finnish or Swedish depending on the respondent’s registered mother tongue.\n\nThe following cohorts and areas are included in the collections:\n\n2005: Individuals born in 1930 and 1940 in all municipalities in Västerbotten (Sweden) and all municipalities in Ostrobothnia (Finland). Number of individuals included in the data set: 3370.\n\n2010: Individuals born in 1930, 1935, 1940, and 1945 in all municipalities in Västerbotten and all municipalities in Ostrobothnia. Number of individuals included in the data set: 6838.\n\n2016: Individuals born in 1930, 1935, 1940, 1945, and 1950 in all municipalities in Västerbotten, all municipalities in Ostrobothnia, and the Seinäjoki-area in Southern Ostrobothnia. Number of individuals included in the data set: 9386.\n\n2021: Individuals born in 1930, 1935, 1940, 1945, 1950, and 1955 in all municipalities in Västerbotten, all municipalities in Ostrobothnia, all municipalities in Southern Ostrobothnia, and on the Åland Islands. The data collection is still ongoing.\n\nLongitudinal analyses is possible between the data collections in 2010 and 2016, and in the future also 2021.\n\nThe questions included in the survey have mainly been the same throughout the years, but some differences between the data collections occur.\n\nList of main themes: Background (e.g. gender, civil status, educational level), Social contacts, activities and hobbies, age perception and ageism, societal participation (civic and political participation, trust), informal caregiving, health and diseases (e.g. self-rated health, pain, vision, hearing, physical ability, falls), community services, economy, perceived well-being, crises (negative life events). The material is related to the dissertation Oma pimiö – The Limits of knowing in written portraits of a hockey player, dancer, photo model and Tom of Finland, and is material for biographical portrait of Janne Puhakka.\r\n\r\nThe thematic interview of Joni Räikkönen, Communications Specialist at Miltton Communications Agency, on September 15th, 2020, at 1.30 pm has been conducted as a telephone interview. The material consists of a recording, its transcript, and the TPS / Pride GRAND ONE campaign material subsequently provided by Räikkönen. The size of the material: recording 36 min., transcript 5 pages, campaign summary 11 pages. The interview covers the planning and implementation of the hockey player Janne Puhakka's coming out campaign. The material covers the entire process of the communication campaign: 1) what was the background of the campaign, 2) what was the purpose and goal of the campaign, 3) why Janne Puhakka was chosen as the face of the campaign, 4) how the campaign was implemented in practice, 5) what results the campaign achieved. The culmination of the campaign was an article about Janne Puhakka, published by Helsingin Sanomat and HS.fi on October 27th, 2019, about Janne Puhakka. The campaign summary presents the campaign's 1) starting points, 2) solution (implementation), 3) results, i.e., media hits and campaign coverage figures in the media in Finland and internationally.",

Aineisto liittyy väitöskirjaan Oma pimiö – Tietämisen rajat jääkiekkoilijan, tanssijan, valokuvamallin ja Tom of Finlandin kirjoitetuissa muotokuvissa ja on aineistoa Janne Puhakan kaunokirjalliselle muotokuvalle.\r\n\r\nViestintätoimisto Milttonin viestintäasiantuntija Joni Räikkösen teemahaastattelu 15.9.2020 klo 13.30 on tehty puhelinhaastatteluna. Aineisto koostuu äänitteestä, sen litteraatiosta sekä Räikkösen jälkikäteisesti toimittamasta TPS / Pride GRAND ONE -kampanjamateriaalista. The material is related to the dissertation A Darkroom of our own - The Limits of knowing in written portraits of a hockey player, dancer, photo model and Tom of Finland and is the basis for Janne Puhakka's portrait.\r\n\r\nThe 1st narrative thematic interview of Janne Puhakka (JP) on August 26, 2020, at 6 pm was conducted as a telephone interview during a lockdown due to a covid19 pandemic. At the beginning of the narrative thematic interview, there is first an open life storytelling, then additional questions related to the theme and questions that clarify aspects of the life story. The material contains the answers to questions A) What is JP’s life story like in perspective of ice hockey: the whole career with the most significant steps and the most memorable situations that have been the most important to him. JP talks about his homosexuality in an interview with Helsingin Sanomat on November 29, 2019. B) How did JP’s sexual identity evolve? At what age did JP realize he was gay / homosexual? Can JP remember the situation where he first understood his orientation? Has JP’s sexual identity changed at any point? JP says in the article in Helsingin Sanomat that he was earlier in the closet. C) What was it like to live in a closet? Concrete examples, experiences, events? In what ways or ways did he pass for straight? What features did he emphasize in himself, what did he cover up? What did he answer when asked about a girlfriend? Were there situations where he was about to be revealed? D) While in the closet, did anyone ever suspect him to be gay? Does he know if there were any gossip about him? How did the concealment of his identity feel? In what ways was he able to distinguish sexuality from the rest of his identity? E) As JP pondered the coming out, did he consider most the reaction of his ice hockey club’s management, teammates, fans, or someone else? When and how did JP first come out? How did his parents take it? Sisters? What about teammates? Schoolmates? What was the car drive like with teammate when JP came out for them? F) How did it feel when a colleague publicly called gays “little mice”? Has JP ever had to lie about his identity? Why has it been so difficult, almost impossible, for a hockey player to be gay or at least come out? What are the practical examples of locker-room talk? G) How does JP describe himself as a man? H) Does JP remember what the situation was like when he made the final decision to come out in public? How did the coming out happen in practice? What was the first reaction of JP when the news came out in public? What have been the consequences for JP? Have the coming out and publicity changed JP? Why did JP want to come out in public?",
"fi": "Aineisto koostuu ex-jääkiekkoilija Janne Puhakan kerronnallisesta tutkimushaastattelusta elokuussa 2020. Aineisto liittyy väitöskirjaan Oma pimiö – Tietämisen rajat jääkiekkoilijan, tanssijan, valokuvamallin ja Tom of Finlandin kirjoitetuissa muotokuvissa ja on perusta Janne Puhakan kaunokirjalliselle muotokuvalle.\r\n\r\nJanne Puhakan (JP) 1. kerronnallinen teemahaastattelu 26.8.2020 klo 18.00 on tehty puhelinhaastatteluna koronapandemiasta johtuvan lockdownin aikana. Aineisto koostuu äänitteestä ja sen litteraatiosta. Aineiston koko: äänite 1 h 13 min., litteraatio 22 sivua. Kerronnallisen teemahaastattelun alussa on ensin avoin elämäntarina sekä sen jälkeen teemaan liittyviä tarkentavia lisäkysymyksiä ja elämäntarinasta nousseita seikkoja tarkentavia kysymyksiä. JP kertoo Helsingin Sanomien haastattelussa homoseksuaalisuudestaan 29. marraskuuta 2019. B) Miten JP:n seksuaali-identiteetti kehittyi? Minkä ikäisenä JP ymmärsi olevansa homo/homoseksuaali? Pystyykö JP muistamaan tilanteen, jossa ymmärsi suuntautumisensa ensimmäisen kerran? Onko JP:n seksuaali-identiteetti muuntunut jossain vaiheessa? JP kertoo Helsingin Sanomien artikkelissa olleensa kaapissa. C) Millaista oli elää kaapissa? Konkreettisia esimerkkejä, tapahtumia? Millaisilla keinoilla tai tavoilla hän “kävi heterosta”? Millä tavalla hän pystyi erottamaan seksuaalisuuden muusta identiteetistään? E) Kun JP pohti ulostuloa, miettikö hän eniten seurajohdon, joukkuetovereiden, fanien ja kiekkokansan vai jonkun muun tahon reaktiota? Milloin ja miten JP tuli ensimmäisen kerran ulos? Miten vanhemmat suhtautuivat? Siskot? Entä joukkuetoverit? Koulukaverit? Millainen oli automatka joukkuetoverin kanssa, kun JP tuli ulos hänelle? F) Miltä tuntui, kun kollega kutsui homoja ”pikku hiirulaisiksi” julkisesti? Onko JP joutunut koskaan valehtelemaan identiteetistään? Miksi jääkiekkoilijalle on ollut niin vaikeaa olla homo? Millaisia ovat käytännön esimerkit koppipuheesta? G) Miten JP kuvailee itseään miehenä? H) Muistaako JP, millainen tilanne oli silloin, kun hän teki lopullisen ratkaisun tulla ulos julkisuuteen? "en": "Terrestrial laser scanning point clouds acquired in the spring/summer of 2014 from 37 sample plots located in Evo, Finland. A Leica HDS6100 (Leica Geosystems, St. Gallen, Switzerland) and a Faro Focus 3D X330 (Faro Technologies Inc., Lake Mary, FL, USA) phase shift scanners. A multi-scan approach has been applied in the data acquisition, that is, each sample plot has been scanned from five separate scanning locations: one scan from the plot centre and four scans from quadrant directions (i.e. north-east, south-east, south-west, and north-west of the plot centre). Individual scans have been co-registered using artificial reference targets whose exact locations have been measured using real-time kinematic GNSS. "fi": "Keväällä/kesällä 2014 kerätty maastolaserkeilausaineisto, joka käsittää pistepilvet 37:ltä Evon tutkimusalueella sijaitsevalta metsikkökoealalta (32 x 32 m). Aineisto on kerätty Leica HDS6100 (Leica Geosystems, St. Gallen, Switzerland) ja Faro Focus 3D X330 (Faro Technologies Inc., Lake Mary, FL, USA) vaihe-erolaserkeilaimilla. Kultakin metsikkökoealalta on kerätty viisi maastolaserkeilauspistepilveä: yksi koealan keskipisteestä ja neljä keskipisteen ympäriltä kohti koealan kulmapisteitä. Yksittäiset pistepilvet on rekisteröity ja yhdistetty toisiinsa tähyspallojen avulla, joiden tarkat sijainnit on mitattu RTK-GNSS:llä. "en": "Terrestrial laser scanning point clouds acquired in the autumn of 2019 from 37 sample plots located in Evo, Finland. A Leica RTC 360 A 3D (Leica Geosystems, St. Gallen, Switzerland) time-of-flight laser scanner was used in the data acquisition. A multi-scan approach has been applied in the data acquisition, that is, each sample plot has been scanned from five separate scanning locations: one scan from the plot centre and four scans from quadrant directions (i.e. north-east, south-east, south-west, and north-west of the plot centre). Individual scans have been co-registered using artificial reference targets whose exact locations have been measured using real-time kinematic GNSS. "fi": "Syksyllä 2019 kerätty maastolaserkeilausaineisto, joka käsittää pistepilvet 37:ltä Evon tutkimusalueella sijaitsevalta metsikkökoealalta (32 x 32 m). Aineiston keruussa käytettiin Leica RTC 360 3D (Leica Geosystems, St. Gallen, Sveitsi) time-of-flight laserkeilainta. Kultakin metsikkökoealalta on kerätty viisi maastolaserkeilauspistepilveä: yksi koealan keskipisteestä ja neljä keskipisteen ympäriltä kohti koealan kulmapisteitä.Yksittäiset pistepilvet on rekisteröity ja yhdistetty toisiinsa tähyspallojen avulla, joiden tarkat sijainnit on mitattu RTK-GNSS:n avulla. "en": "ERME contains predominantly Erzya and Moksha literature. It consists of several media publications from the 19th to the 20th century. ERME was mapped in Saransk in 1997-2004, while in Helsinki it has been mapped since 2004. The most basic format used is XML, with a granularity extending to chapter level. The goal is to create corpora with a granularity extending to word level. At sentence level contextual translation is used (English or Finnish translation), while at word level there is morphological encoding, corresponding to each context. Preliminary morphological analysis is carried out using HFST-based transducers, which have been developed in the Giellatekno infrastructure of the University of Tromsø.\n\nThe grammatical analysis and labeling comply with the practices developed in the Giellatekno infrastructure of the University of Tromsø. These practices are applied in the documentation of several Uralic languages.\n\nAmount of processed material: more than a million words. The amount of the processed material is to be increased subsequently.\n\nERME will be made available at http://korp.csc.fi.",
"fi": "ERME on pääasiassa ersä- ja mokšamordvan kirjallisuusaineisto. Aineisto koostuu useamman median julkaisuista aina 1800-luvulta 2000-luvulle asti. Sitä on kartoitettu sekä Saranskissa vuosina 1997-2004 että Helsingissä vuodesta 2004. Korpusten alkeellisin muoto on XML-formatti, jonka rakeisuus ulottuu kappaletasolle. Päämäärä on korpuksia, joissa rakeisuus ulottuu sanatasolle. Lausetasolla on kontekstuaalinen käännös (englanninnos tai suomennos), ja sanatasolla valitaan morfologinen koodaus, joka vastaa kutakin kontekstia. Alustava morfologinen analyysi tehdään hfst-pohjaisilla transduktoreilla, joita on kehitetty Tromssan yliopiston Giellateknon infrastruktuurilla.\n\nKäytetty kieliopillinen analyysi ja merkinnät noudattavat Tromssan yliopiston Giellateknon infrastruktuurissa kehitettyä käytännettä, jota noudatetaan useamman uralilaiskielen dokumentoinnissa.\n\nKäsiteltyä aineistoa on yli miljoona sanaa.
