"en": "In the present study, we investigated the year-round variability in the expression of fads2 (measured via quantitative real-time PCR) in the liver of the European perch in a boreal lake in relation to individual variation in size, sex, and maturity. Our objectives were to (i) assess if there were any seasonal changes in the expression of fads2 in the liver of P. fluviatilis and (ii) if these changes could be related to environmental (seasonality in temperature, light, oxygen) or biological variation (body size, sex, maturity, diet). To answer these questions, together with fads2 activity we report carbon stable isotopes values as well as the content of fatty acids (FAs) in perch tissues (liver, muscle and gonad) and potential perch prey items sampled simultaneously."

"en": "The dataset contains analysis of organizational APC monitoring of publications affiliated to the University of Turku and Turku University Hospital from the years 2017 to 2018. The purpose was to compare the in-house APC bookkeeping with information available from outer sources. The aim was to identify any discrepancies in the organizational bookkeeping and the available public APC information. The data has been collected and compiled for analysis from the following sources: APC reports of the Turku University and Turku University Hospital, Web of Science, Scopus, Unpaywall, DOAJ and the University of Turku Data warehouse.",
"fi": "Aineisto koostuu Turun yliopiston ja Turun yliopistollisen sairaalan vertaisarvioitujen julkaisujen kirjoittajamaksutiedoista eli APC-maksutiedoista vuosilta 2017-2108 sekä vertailuaineistosta, joka haettiin ulkoisista lähteistä (Web of Science, Scopus, Unpaywall). Aineiston tarkoitus on mahdollistaa vertailu organisaation sisäisen kirjoittajamaksukirjanpidon ja ulkoisista lähteistä saatavilla olevan kirjoittajamaksuja koskevan informaation välillä. Aineiston analyysin tavoitteena oli selvittää, miten iso osa organisaation maksamista kirjoittajamaksuista sisältyy sisäiseen kirjanpitoon, ja mikä osa jää kirjanpidon ulkopuolelle."

"en": "Crisis and exceptional situations bring major changes in the way hospital organizations operate. This requires flexible, resilient, and adaptable management as well as strong management and leadership competence, taking into account digitalization and hybrid work. These themes will be addressed in this study, which will provide information on change and crisis management and the factors influencing success, the management and leadership competence required and the work wellbeing of managers during the COVID-19 pandemic. \n\nThe purpose of the study was to describe the experiences of nurse managers in change and crisis management as well as wellbeing in a hospital organization during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study was carried out as a qualitative descriptive study in Finland. The data were collected in thematic individual interviews between June and October 2021 in one central hospital. The study involved nurse managers (n = 20) who worked in frontline or middle management positions in hospital. They led work units or profit areas in which the COVID-19 pandemic had caused changes in operations. The data were analyzed by inductive or deductive content analysis.\n\nThe results can be utilized in the management of change and exceptional situations in the hospital organizations. "en": "For this population-based study, includes data of 1021 participants aged 75, 80 or 85 years living in central Finland, who have been recruited by drawing personal details from the Finnish population register. Participants were interviewed on active aging, wellbeing, disability, environmental and social support, mobility, health behavior, and health literacy. Physical activity and heart rate were monitored for up to 7 days with wearable sensors. Functional tests include hearing, vision, muscle strength, reaction time, exercise tolerance, mobility, and cognitive performance. Clinical examination by a nurse and physician includes an electrocardiogram, tests of blood pressure, orthostatic regulation, arterial stiffness, and lung function, as well as a review of chronic and acute conditions and prescribed medications. C-reactive protein, small blood count, cholesterol and vitamin D were analyzed from blood samples. Cohort effects can be studied by comparing test results of physical and cognitive functioning with results of a cohort examined in 1989-90. Follow-up data on active ageing, physical activity, life-space mobility, health literacy and depressive mood were collected during the first wave of COVID-19 pandemic in May-June 2020. Second follow-up was collected among 700 people in 2021-2022."
