"en": "This data set contains the simulation data for the Nature Astronomy publication \"Numerical evidence for a small-scale dynamo approaching solar magnetic Prandtl numbers\".\nMagnetic fields on small scales are ubiquitous in the universe. Though they can often be observed in detail, their generation mechanisms are not fully understood. One possibility is the so-called small-scale dynamo (SSD). Prevailing numerical evidence, however, appears to indicate that an SSD is unlikely to exist at very low magnetic Prandtl numbers (Pm) such as are present in the Sun and other cool stars. We have performed high-resolution simulations of isothermal forced turbulence\nemploying the lowest Pm values so far achieved. Contrary to earlier findings, the SSD turns out to be not only\n possible for Pm down to 0.0031, but even becomes increasingly easier to excite for Pm below 0.05. We relate this behaviour to the known hydrodynamic phenomenon referred to as the bottleneck effect. Extrapolating our results to solar values of Pm indicates that an SSD would be possible under such conditions."

"en": "This resource is available in the Korp service of the Language Bank of Finland, see Access location. The resource contains the sentences of the original full texts in the ERME corpus in scrambled order.\n\nERME contains predominantly Erzya and Moksha literature. It consists of several media publications from the 19th to the 20th century. ERME was mapped in Saransk in 1997-2004, while in Helsinki it has been mapped since 2004. The most basic format used is XML, with a granularity extending to chapter level. The goal is to create corpora with a granularity extending to word level.\n\nFor the next version: At sentence level contextual translation will be used (English or Finnish translation), while at word level there will be morphological encoding, corresponding to each context. Preliminary morphological analysis will be carried out using HFST-based transducers, which have been developed in the Giellatekno infrastructure of the University of Tromsø.\n\nThe grammatical analysis and labeling comply with the practices developed in the Giellatekno infrastructure of the University of Tromsø. These practices are applied in the documentation of several Uralic languages.\n\nAmount of processed material: more than a million words. The amount of the processed material is to be increased subsequently.\n\nERME is available at http://korp.csc.fi.",

"en": "CRITICAL JYU is a part of a larger CRITICAL consortium focusing on critical reading development and ways to support it among children and adolescents from 10 to 17 years of age. Please see more information: https://educritical.fi/en/. In CRITICAL JYU project, we focus on the risk, protective, and promotive factors in critical reading development. Of particular interest are children's cognitive skills and motivation, as well as home environment. We also seek to develop a home literacy environment questionnaire for research purposes focusing particularly on critical reading.\r\n\r\nThe data has been collected using multiple methods and from multiple informants; e.g. using Delphi method among experts, semi-structured interviews among adolescent and their parents, questionnaires for children, adolescent, parents, and teachers, skill assessments, and video observations. The data includes videos, sound files, numerical data, and transcript data.",

"en": "This resource will be made available for download in the Language Bank of Finland in 2023.\n\nThe resource includes spoken Meänkieli and may also include some Swedish and Finnish. The data was recorded in 2019 at various parishes in Northern Sweden, such as Haaparanta, Matarenki, Pajala, Aapua, Olkamangi, and Pello (the Swedish side). Some of the speakers in the data had also been interviewed earlier in the 1990s. In addition, there are recordings from the same places from as early as the 1960s, which makes it possible to investigate the changes that have taken place in Meänkieli over the course of 53 years.\n\nThe resource includes 21 audio recordings, most of which are 0.5–1 hour long, and the transcripts aligned with the audio. The total duration of the recordings is 892.07 minutes, i.e., about 15 hours.\n\nThe data is also available in the ONA archive of the University of Oulu.",

Aineisto on tallennettu vuonna 2019 Pohjois-Ruotsissa eri pitäjissä, kuten Haaparannassa, Matarengissä, Pajalassa, Aapuassa, Olkamangissa ja Ruotsin puolen Pellossa. Osaa aineiston puhujista on haastateltu aiemmin, 1990-luvulla. "en": "Low volatile organic compounds (LVOC) have been determined to be main drivers in key atmospheric processes, such as new particle formation (NPF). Yet, extensive and versatile data sets of these molecules have not been available so far to the atmospheric research community. The GeckoQ dataset contains atomic structures of 31,637 atmospherically relevant molecules produced in the oxidation of alpha-pinene, toluene and decane. On top of molecular structures generated by the chemical mechanism GECKO-A, we performed comprehensive conformer sampling with the COSMOconf program and calculate thermodynamic properties on the Perdew-Becke (PB) level of density functional theory (DFT) using the Conductor-like Screening Model (COSMO). The data contains all 7 Mio. conformers found."
