"en": "Data description: Surface flow velocity dataset was created using Hydro-STIV software (Hydro-STIV v.1.2.2, Hydro Technology Institute co.), which uses Space-Time Image Velocimetry (STIV) for velocity estimation, a method derived from Large-Scale Particle Image Velocimetry (LSPIV) developed by Fujita in 2007 (Fujita et al., 2007). The videos were georeferenced using known GCPs and the software performed orthorectification and calibration. The data has been used for publication \"Surface flow and ice rafting velocities during freezing and thawing periods in Nordic rivers\". Data consists of videos and daily stil images from Pulmanki, Koita and Sävar Rivers from Autumn freezing and Spring thawing periods. The data from Koita River is from 2020-2021 and from Pulmanki and Sävar Rivers from 2021-2022. The original raw data based on which the STIV analysis was performed was collected with Burrel time-lapse RGB cameras. Acknowledgements: The river-ice related measurements were initiated at Pulmankijoki River in 2014 under the post-doctoral research project of Dr Lotsari, funded by the Research Council of Finland (ExRIVER: grant number 267345), and this study is a continuum in the series of these winter season studies. The work for this study was financially supported by four other projects funded by the Research Council of Finland (DefrostingRivers: 338480; HYDRO-RDI-Network: 337394; Digital Waters [DIWA] Flagship;359248). In addition, the work was funded by The European Union – NextGenerationEU Recovery instrument (RRF) through Research Council of Finland projects Hydro RI Platform (346167) and Green-Digi-Basin (347703). "en": "This dataset supports the paper: \"Accelerated First-Principles Exploration of Structure and Reactivity in Graphene Oxide\" (https://doi.org/10.1002/anie.202410088) The purpose is to enable readers to access the potential models and characterisation code for reproducing the work, and also to create structural models of their own of functionalised graphene sheets (\"graphene oxide\", GO). Contents The repository is structured in the following way: Functionalisation code: The functionalisation code uses four structural parameters (p1 to p4) to construct initial structural models of GO in a systematic way. Models: MACE model files, checkpoints for refitting and fine-tuning, training and testing databases at each iteration and the submission script for training. Structures: Structures after the 2 ns anneal from the three MD runs at 900, 1,200 and 1,500 K along with geometry optimised structures. Additional structure from 1.5 ns at 1,500 K is provided as given in Figure 3. Information regarding the iterations and DFT settings used for our MACE fit iter-0: Seeded in CASTEP-GAP (5x5 matrix) - all relevant structures were taken from the CASTEP-GAP runs up over 10 ps. A filter of any bond length < 0.5 and coordination > 6 was applied to remove high E/F structures. iter-1: iter-0 + structures held at 600K using MACE model fitted on iter-0. 250 structures were added (1 ps intervals (10 ps total) on 5x5 matrix). Structures were cleaned where single atoms were removed. iter-2: iter-1 + structures held at 900K using MACE model fitted on iter-1. 250 structures were added (1 ps intervals (10 ps total) on 5x5 matrix). Structures were cleaned where single atoms were removed. iter-3: iter-2 + structures held at 1200K using MACE model fitted on iter-2. This potential was unstable and led to failed runs at 0.40-0.00 and 0.50-0.25. As a result, all structures from every trajectory were taken and were filtered according to: min bond length < 0.5 were discarded, isolated atoms were deleted, no atoms with > 6 coordination. Initial structures were sampled across p1 and p3 from 0.1-0.5 (p2 = 0.5). 250 structures were added (1 ps intervals (10 ps total) on 5x5 matrix). Structures were cleaned where single atoms were removed. iter-10: iter-9 + edge structures held at 1500K using MACE model fitted on iter-9. 250 structures were added (1 ps intervals (10 ps total) on 5x5 matrix). Structures were cleaned where single atoms were removed. iter-11: iter-10 + edge structures held at 1500K using MACE model fitted on iter-10. 250 structures were added (1 ps intervals (10 ps total) on 5x5 matrix). "en": "This is a Gaussian approximation potential (GAP [1]) for phosphorus. The potential can be used to model general phosphorus systems, including the various solid phases as well as molecular and polymeric fluids. It has been fitted with gap_fit [2] by recomputing the database of Ref. [3] at the PBE level of theory [4] using the VASP code [5,6]. The potential allows for adding van der Waals (vdW) corrections at the Tkatchenko-Scheffler (TS) [7] and many-body-dispersion (MBD) [8] levels via machine learning based local parametrization of dispersion interactions [9] and the linear-scaling MBD (lMBD) approximation [10], respectively. For the underlying PBE fit, this potential uses 2-body (distance_2b) and SOAP-type descriptors (soap_turbo) [11,12], as implemented in the TurboGAP code [13]. For the Hirshfeld volume fit, the potential reuses the soap_turbo descriptors for computational efficiency. The files can be used both with QUIP/GAP (without vdW-correction support) and TurboGAP (with full functionality). The reference for the implementation paper will be added here later. The folders \"Videos_IMAC_silk_with_BG_lysate_coalescence.zip\", \"Videos_HT_silk_coalescence.zip\", and \"Videos_IMAC_silk_coalescence.zip\" all contain subfolders labeled with the purification method, the framerate of the videos and then consecutive numbering. Each of these folders contains the frames of the video as single TIF files. Please find more information in the read_me file uploaded."

The filenames refer to Area 1 (Männikkötie), Area 2 (Maunulanmaja), Area 3 (Hakuninmaa), and Area 4 (Paloheinä), described in detail in Junttila et al. 2022. Multispectral Imagery Provides Benefits for Mapping Spruce Tree Decline Due to Bark Beetle Infestation When Acquired Late in the Season, Remote Sensing 14(4), 909: https://doi.org/10.3390/rs14040909 \r\n\r\nThe image data was acquired between 11th and 14th September 2020. \r\n\r\nRE = Red-Edge M multispectral data \r\nRGB = RGB data (Phantom 4 Pro) \r\nAltum = Altum multispectral data \r\n\r\nThe ground sampling distances (GSD) were approximately 3 cm, 5 cm, and 8 cm for RGB, Altum, and RedEdge, respectively. \r\n\r\nThe field reference data file contains 556 geolocated trees assessed in the field (between 11.9. and 17.9.2020), of which 203 were dead and 353 were alive. The data is in polygon format, representing the crown delineation done during the data processing. The file includes tree heights estimated from airborne laser scanning data, dbh (for a subset of trees), discoloration, defoliation, resin flow, bark structural damage, and canopy size estimates. "en": "X-ray microtomography scan results. \r\nComposition A: sample prepared by mixing 40 g of 40 wt% CaCl2 solution (with 0.31 wt% tween 20 as surfactant) with 4 wt% HDK H18 fumed silica at 7000 RPM for 2 mins. \r\nComposition B: sample prepared by mixing 40 g of 40 wt% CaCl2 solution (with 2 wt% ethanol as surfactant) with 4 wt% Sipernat D10 precipitated silica at 7000 RPM for 30 s. \r\nComposition C: sample prepared by mixing 35 g of DI water (with 2.2 mM SDS as surfactant) with 2 wt% Aerosil R812S fumed silica at 7000 RPM for 30 s. \r\nCapsules from composition A were prepared by shaking a sample of the mixture (10-20 g) in a 500 ml plastic bottle. \r\nAll samples were collected into a 3 mm plastic tube for imaging. Scans of larger volumes have lower resolution. For composition C, two scans (of different areas) with the same resolution are provided. Scan 2 was taken approx. 24 h after scan 1. \r\nThe imaging was done using phoenix Nanotom S (Phoenix|x-ray Systems + Services GmbH, Waygate Technologies). The acceleration voltage was 60 kV, beam current was 200 µA and no additional beam filtering was used. \r\nFor the scans with 5 µm voxel size, focus mode 0 of the device was used, and 600 projection images were recorded over a 360 degree turn with 3 x 500 ms exposure time at each projection. For the scans with 1.579 µm voxel size, focus mode 1 was used, and 1400 projection images were taken with 4 x 500 ms exposure time for each projection."

"en": "Geotagged Twitter posts dataset Dataset used for the research presented in the following paper: Takayuki Hiraoka, Takashi Kirimura, Naoya Fujiwara (2024) \"Geospatial analysis of toponyms in geo-tagged social media posts\". We collected georeferenced Twitter posts tagged to coordinates inside the bounding box of Japan between 2012-2018. The present dataset represents the spatial distributions of all geotagged posts as well as posts containing in the text each of 24 domestic toponyms, 12 common nouns, and 6 foreign toponyms. The code used to analyze the data is available on GitHub. \r\nData description \r\nselected_geotagged_tweet_data/: Number of geotagged twitter posts in each grid cell. Each csv file under this directory associates each grid cell (spanning 30 seconds of latitude and 45 secoonds of longitude, which is approximately a 1km x 1km square, specified by an 8 digit code m3code) with the number of geotagged tweets tagged to the coordinates inside that cell (tweetcount). file_names.json relates each of the toponyms studied in this work to the corresponding datafile (all denotes the full data). \r\npopulation/population_center_2020.xlsx: Center of population of each municipality based on the 2020 census. Derived from data published by the Statistics Bureau of Japan on their website (Japanese)\r\npopulation/census2015mesh3_totalpop_setai.csv: Resident population in each grid cell based on the 2015 census. Derived from data published by the Statistics Bureau of Japan on e-stat (Japanese)\r\npopulation/economiccensus2016mesh3_jigyosyo_jugyosya.csv: Employed population in each grid cell based on the 2016 Economic Census. Derived from data published by the Statistics Bureau of Japan on e-stat (Japanese)\r\njapan_MetropolitanEmploymentArea2015map/: Shape file for the boundaries of Metropolitan Employment Areas (MEA) in Japan. "en": "Natural fibre-reinforced polymer composites will play a crucial role in meeting NetZero requirements as they combine environmental sustainability with excellent mechanical properties at low weight. Despite their advantages, such composites exhibit poor performance under compressive loading due to issues like fibre kinking. Our focus turns to understanding the behaviour of kinking during compressive failure. This requires high frame rate imaging, as catastrophic kink band initiation occurs quickly. To capture this event with the necessary high spatial resolution, we propose in-situ compression on ID19. In this beamtime, we aim to understand the compressive performance of newly developed flax fibre reinforced polymer (FFRP) composites, in which the epoxy resin is made of renewable resources, the so-called ‘greenpoxy’. This work will lead to new designs to improve their compressive performance by suppressing kinking band formation."
