"en": "This resource will be made available in Kielipankki – the Language Bank of Finland.\n\nThis is a text corpus for the study of the linguistic landscapes of Turku. The material is mostly based on the so-called Black Book of the Turku Cathedral, but also on other contemporary documents concerning the ownership of real estate or the urban space of Turku. Most of the material has been collected from the Diplomatarium Fennicum database in 2022. The original texts were written in the time period from the 13th to the 15th centuries mainly in Medieval Swedish, about 5% in Latin. Finnish and (Middle) German are also included in the form of different proper names.\n\nThe texts have been converted to be as machine-readable as possible using TEI/XML annotation. In addition to landmarks and socio-economic and other background variables, the text documents were annotated with headings, summaries and other descriptive information, including language.\n\nThe corpus includes about 20 000 words in Medieval Swedish and a few thousand words in Latin. There are 86 documents in total.\n\nThe material is related to the forthcoming compilation Kupari Hanna-Mari & Lamberg Marko: Language in the landscape and landscapes in linguistics (working title of a publication in Finnish). The book is expected to be published in autumn 2023.",
"fi": "Tämä aineisto on tulossa Kielipankkiin. \n\nTurun kielimaisemia käsittelevän tutkimuksen tekstikorpus. Aineisto perustuu enimmäkseen Turun tuomiokirkon nk. Mustaan kirjaan mutta myös muihin kiinteistöjen omistamista tai Turun kaupunkitilaa koskeviin aikalaisasiakirjoihin. Suurin osa aineistosta on kerätty Diplomatarium Fennicum -tietokannasta vuonna 2022. Alkuperäiset tekstit on kirjoitettu 1300- ja 1400-luvuilla pääosin ruotsiksi, noin 5 % latinaksi. Mukana on erisnimien muodossa myös suomea ja (keskiala)saksaa. \n\nTekstit on muunnettu mahdollisimman koneluettaviksi käyttäen TEI/XML-merkintätapaa. Maamerkkien ja sosioekonomisten yms. taustamuuttujien lisäksi tekstidokumentteihin on merkitty esimerkiksi otsikot, regestat ja muuta kuvailutietoa.\n\nKeskiajan ruotsia on mukana n. 20 000 sanaa ja latinaa muutama tuhat sanaa. Dokumentteja on yhteensä 86 kappaletta.\n\nAineisto liittyy teokseen Kupari, Hanna-Mari & Lamberg, Marko (tulossa): Kieli maisemassa ja maisema kielessä. Kirjan arvioitu ilmestymisajankohta on syksy 2023."

The extraction was done by the Aalto Speech Recognition group. His MPID\nis arbitrary. The 2015-2020 set and 2008-2016 set use different speaker IDs. A mapping to the 2015-2020 set MP IDs is provided in `speaker-id-mapping.csv`.\n\n### Splits\n\nThe paper \"Automatic Construction of the Finnish Parliament Speech Corpus\" by Mansikkaniemi et al. \n(see citation) uses training splits which are defined in the following files: \n - `parl-all.train.list`\n - `parl-400.train.list`\n - `parl-60min.train.list`\n - `parl-30min.train.list`\n\n### Additional files\n\nThere are two additional files provided with the 2008-2016 set:\n\n1. `dropped_duplicates.list` - There are some utterances in the raw dataset that have overlapping\n utterance id. This file indicates which duplicates were dropped in the paper by Mansikkaniemi et al.\n (see citation). The `local/data_prep.sh` script in the Github repository https://github.com/aalto-speech/fin-parl-models\n can recreate the Kaldi input files for the 2008-2016 set used in Mansikkaniemi et al.\n2. `utt2year` - This file maps utterance ids to the year they were spoken. This file is compatible\n with the Kaldi input files created by the script `local/data_prep.sh` mentioned above.\n\n### Statistics\n\nIn total, there are:\n - 522 543 sample pairs\n - 1560 hours of speech\n - 9 743 296 word tokens (in .trn files)\n\nIn the 2008-2014 subset, there are:\n - 437 642 sample pairs\n - 1 350 hours of speech\n - 8 122 107 word tokens (in .trn files)\n\n### Text data\n\nThis subset comes with a 20 million word token in-domain text corpus in the file `parl-transcripts.train`.\nThe text corpus is extracted from the 2008-2016 session transcripts.\n\n---\n\n## Development and test sets\n\nThis subset contains the dev and test sets for Finnish Parliament ASR corpus. There are three sets:\n\n 1. 2016-dev\n 2. 2016-test\n 3. 2020-test\n\nThe 2016 sets have been created with the same tools as the 2008-2016 train set. Similarly, the\n2020 test set and 2015-2020 train set have been created with the same pipeline. "en": "This corpus is available for download in Kielipankki – The Language Bank of Finland.\n\nThe Finnish News Agency Archive corpus comprises newswire articles in Finnish sent to media outlets by the Finnish News Agency (STT) between 2019-2021. This corpus is an extension of the previous data set from 1998-2018 (see http://urn.fi/urn:nbn:fi:lb-2019041501).\n\nMost of the material is news articles that vary from short “news flashes” to telegrams and longer articles. News articles are categorized by department (domestic, foreign, economy, politics, culture, entertainment and sports) as well as by metadata (IPTC subject categories or keywords and location data). The archive also includes other material STT has created or forwarded such as news planning lists, sports results, analysis articles and press releases.\n\nThe resource including the full texts are available for non-commercial research use based on a research plan."

It was collected in 2022-2023 by Meri Löyttyniemi, ORCID https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9008-2641, from the Corporate Environmental Management research group at the University of Jyväskylä School of Business.\r\n\r\nTable 1: University´s annual turnover and total number of staff and students. There is also indicated the more sustainability-specific information like homepage, budget, management system, reporting. Also academic and administrative staff members with SD involvement are indicated. The survey was sent during autumn 2022 to rectors, SD responsables and registries.\r\n\r\nTable 2: Table B is indicating the number of staff, divided to academic and administrative personnel, and an estimation how many of them are involved with sustainability issues. Also universities´ real estate companies (ACRE/Aalto University, HYK/University of Helsinki and SYK/other Finnish university facilities) have provided the same numbers. The survey was sent early 2023 to real estate companies´CEOs & HR and universities´ HR directors and registriers.",
"fi": "Aineisto on kerätty osana ”Kestävän kehityksen johtaminen suomalaisissa yliopistoissa” -väitöstutkimusta. Sen kerääjänä vuosina 2022-2023 on toiminut Meri Löyttyniemi, ORCID https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9008-2641, Jyväskylän yliopiston Kauppakorkeakoulun Corporate Environmental Management -tutkimusryhmästä. \r\n\r\nTaulukon A luokat ovat kampusten ja alueyksiköiden lukumäärä, yliopiston vuotuinen liikevaihto sekä henkilöstön ja opiskelijoiden kokonaismäärä. Myös tarkemmin kestävyyteen liittyviä tietoja, kuten kotisivu, budjetti, johtamisjärjestelmä sekä raportointi. Myös kestävyyteen liittyvän akateemisen ja hallintohenkilöstön määrää on arvioitu. Kysely lähetettiin syksyllä 2022 rehtoreille, SD-vastuuhenkilöille ja kirjaamoille.\r\n\r\nTaulukossa B esitetään henkilöstön määrä jaettuna akateemiseen ja hallinnolliseen henkilöstöön sekä arvio siitä, kuinka moni heistä on tekemisissä kestävyyskysymysten kanssa. Myös yliopistojen kiinteistöyhtiöt (ACRE/Aalto-yliopisto, HYK/Helsingin yliopisto ja SYK/muut suomalaiset yliopistot) ovat toimittaneet samat numerot. Kysely lähetettiin alkuvuodesta 2023 kiinteistöyhtiöiden toimitusjohtajille ja yliopistojen henkilöstöjohtajille sekä kirjaamoihin."

"en": "This resource will be made available in Kielipankki – the Language Bank of Finland.\n\nThe corpus consists of medieval penitentiary documents in structured format (TEI-xml). It is also possible to provide the content as a morphosyntactically parsed treebank (CoNLL-U / UD format).\n\nThe text content is in Latin, while the metadata is provided in English. The data collection was created in 2020-2023, and the texts cover a time period from the late 14th to early 16th century. \n\nThe corpus is suitable for both linguistic history and traditional history research. Part of the material is from medieval Sweden, thus covering Finland as well.\n\nThe texts have been edited for this resource by Kirsi Salonen, Sara Risberg, Peter Clarke and Patrick Zutshi.",

Sisältö on mahdollista tarjota myös morfosyntaktisesti jäsennettynä puupankkina (CoNLL-U / UD-muoto). \n\nAineiston sisältämä teksti on latinankielistä ja teksteihin liittyvä metadata englanninkielistä. Aineisto on kerätty vuosina 2020-2023 ja alkuperäiset tekstit sijoittuvat ajanjaksolle 1300-luvun lopulta 1500-luvun alkuun. \n\nAineisto soveltuu niin kielihistorian kuin perinteisenkin historian tutkimukseen.
