"fi": "Aineisto koostuu opettajankouluttajien ryhmähaastatteluista, jotka toteutettiin Hämeen ammattikorkeakoulussa, Helsingin yliopistossa, Turun yliopistossa ja Jyväskylän yliopistossa vuoden 2022 aikana. Ryhmähaastattelut koostuivat kahdesta osiosta. Ensimmäisessä osioissa osallistujat kuvasivat kokemuksiaan etäopetuksesta, ja toisessa osiossa keskityttiin osallistujien kokemuksiin HowUTeach työkalun hyödyntämisestä ja sen pohjalta saadusta vastapalautteesta. Korkeakouluopettajien työn tueksi kehitetyn HowUTeach-itsearviointityökalun tavoitteena on tukea opettajia oman opetuksensa reflektoinnissa. Sen avulla opettaja voi pohtia omia opetusprosessejaan sekä hyvinvointiaan opettajana. Vastattuaan kyselyyn opettajankouluttajille lähetettiin vastapalaute oman opetuksen ja pedagogisen asiantuntijuuden kehittämisen tueksi. Palautteen saamisen jälkeen tutkittavat osallistuivat fokusryhmähaastatteluun, jossa selvitettiin heidän kokemuksiaan etäopetuksesta sekä HowUTeach-työkalun perusteella tuotetusta vastapalautteesta ja sen hyödynnettävyydestä. \n\nRyhmähaastatteluja tehtiin kaikkiaan seitsemän, joihin osallistui 20 opettajankouluttajaa (2-3 osallistujaa/ryhmä). Ryhmähaastattelujen kesto vaihteli 57-95 minuutin välillä ja ne toteutettiin Zoomissa. Haastattelut nauhoitettiin ja aineisto litteroitiin sanatarkasti."

The data includes four separate interventions investigating endurance performance and objective and subjective recovery in 20–45-year-old recreational runners. The first study (n = 24) examined acute responses to four different types of endurance exercises, the second (n = 30) and third studies (n = 30) compared the effects of increased volume and intensity of endurance training on endurance performance and recovery status, and the fourth study (n = 30) compared the effects of predefined and individually adjusted endurance training prescription on training adaptations.",

A defining feature of osteoarthritis is degeneration of articular cartilage, which is partly driven by cartilage cells after joint injury, and further accelerated by inflammation. The degeneration triggered by these biomechanical and biochemical mechanisms is currently irreversible. Thus, early prevention/mitigation of disease progression is a key to avoiding PTOA. Prior computational models have been developed to provide insights into the complex mechanisms of cartilage degradation, but they rarely include cell-level cartilage degeneration mechanisms. Here, we present a novel approach to simulate how the early post-traumatic biomechanical and inflammatory effects on cartilage cells eventually influence tissue composition. Our model includes the key regulators of early post-traumatic osteoarthritis: chondral lesions, cell death, reactive oxygen species, and inflammatory cytokines. The model is supported by several experimental explant culture findings. Interestingly, we found that when post-injury inflammation is mitigated, cartilage composition can partially recover. We suggest that mechanobiological models including cell–tissue-level mechanisms can serve as future tools for evaluating high-risk lesions and developing new intervention strategies.\n\nThis dataset includes the files needed to run the computational models.",

"en": "Network of permanent transect was established in 2021 and 2022 to enable monitoring snowbed vegetation in Finland. Network comprizes of 24 study sites in Utsjoki, Pallas fells, Enontekiö and Saariselkä. Transects are 15 to 50 m long and vegetation has been studied from eight 80 x 80 cm plots that are placed at even distances along each transect.\n\nThis datasets includes a matrix with data on location and environmental parameters from study sites and pictures taken from plots and transects to ensure relocating them. Explanation for parameters given in the matrix and methods for collecting data are given in an separate explanation file.",
"fi": "Suomen lumenviipymillä tapahtuvien kasvillisuusmuutosten seurantaan tarkoitettu pysyvien seuranta-alojen verkosto perustettiin 2021 ja 2022 osana Ympäristöministeriön Puuttellisesti tunntettujen lajien ja luontotyyppien tutkimusohjelmaa. Verkosto koostuu 24 Enontekiöllä, Pallastuntureilla, Utsjoella ja Saariselällä sijaitsevasta seuranta-alasta. Kultakin seurata-alalta kasvillisuus tutkittiin linjaotantaa käyttäen kahdeksalta 80 x 80 cm kasvillisuusruudulta, jotka siojoitettiin tasaisin välimatkoin 15 - 50 m mittaisille tutkimuslinjoille. \n\nAineisto koostuu seuranta-alojen sijainti- ja taustatiedot sisältävästä taulukosta, otantamenetelmän kuvauksesta ja uusintaotannan helpottamiseksi tutkimuslinjoilta ja kasvillisuusruuduilta otetuista valokuvista. Sijainti- ja taustatietotaulukon muuttujat on lisäksi selitetty erillisessä selitetaulukossa. Kasvillisuusruutujen lajistotiedot on pyyydettäessä saatavissa Turun yliopiston kasvimuseolta."

The model describes the differences in warming speed in spring in a period from the ice break until 15th of July in 2014 in the Finnish coastal areas. Main data sources were temperature logger data from Natural Resources Institute and mareographs and wave buoy data from Finnish Meteorological Institute. The spatial resolution of the model is 50 meters and it is in raster format (GeoTIFF). The modelling work forms part of the Marisplan and VELMU projects.",

"en": "The data consists of data from the Berry Machine project. The project has aimed to develop an AI-based system to improve berry observations and forecasts in observation forests.\n\nThe Natural Resources Institute Finland has been making observations and forecasts of berry harvests since the 1990s. The observations have been based on plots in the forests. Each forest has five observation plots of one square metre. Flowers, raw berries and ripe berries are counted during the growing season and forecasts are based on these calculations. \n\nThe aim of the Berry Machine project was to develop a machine-learning system that can be used to estimate the quantity and quality of berry harvests using a photo taken with a smartphone. The target was blueberry (Vaccinium Myrtillus) and lingonberry (Vaccinium Vitis-idea)\n\nA prototype application was implemented on a smart phone to determine the number of bilberry and lingonberry flowers, raw berries and ripe berries using machine vision. To determine the area of the observation area needed for berry density, AR-based measurement was tested in the prototype.\n\nThe ratio of the number of berries interpreted from the image to the actual value was compared with the help of the field measurements. The number of berries detected by machine learning and the result of the field measurement were attached to the same image.\n\nFor the study of berry density estimation using an image, the area of berries detected by machine learning was determined by cropping the detected berries by the boundaries of the (annotated) count frame drawn on the same image. The bounding with polygon verifies that berries have been detected in the image are exactly in the area corresponding to the area of the frame.\n\nThe dataset is in three parts:\n\n 1. 640x640 Images with VOC annotations. 640x640 annotated images ready for machine learning.\n 2. datatables: datasheets containing metadata about the images, inference results of the trained machine learning model on the images, and information about the count frames and images with field measurement berry density\n 3. Original. Original image files and annotations (in COCO format). 80GB of original material is split into eight zip files for easy downloading. Also frame annotation polygons (COCO-format)\n\nThe data in the tables can be linked to each other via the image file path. For a more detailed description of the data, see README.md. \n\nThe project's AI system is prototyped and implemented by the FrostBit Software Laboratory at Lapland UAS.",

Marjatiheydessä tarvittavan havaintoalueen pinta-alan määrittämisessä testattiin protoyypissä AR-pohjaista mittausta.\n\nKuvasta tulkittavan marjamäärän suhdetta maastossa laskettuun määrään verrattiin maastolaskennan avulla. Kuvaan laskentakehikosta liitettiin tieto maastolaskennen tuloksesta ja koneoppimisen havaitsemien marjojen määrästä samassa kuvassa.\n\nKuvan avulla marjatiheyden määrittämisen tutkimisessa koneoppimisen havaitsemien marjojen pinta-ala määritettiin rajaamalla havaitut marjat samaan kuvaan piirretyn (annotoidun) laskentakehikon rajoilla. Laskentakehällä rajaamalla varmennetaan, että kuvassa on havaittu marjoja täsmälleen kehikon pinta-alan vastaavalta alueelta.\n\nData sisältää kolme aineistoa:\n\n 1. 640x640 Images with VOC annotations. Koneoppimiselle koulutusvalmiit 640x640 annotoidut kuvat\n 2. Datatables. Datataulut, joissa metatietoa kuvista, koulutetun koneoppimismallin havainnot kuvista ja tietoa laskentakehikoista sekä kuvista joiden marjatiheys voidaan arvioida\n 3. Original. "en": "This data set contains test data from electron irradiation experiments of a sol-gel silica glass rod doped with Gd3+ ions (to about 0.1 wt%), with length 1 cm and diameter 0.5 mm. The rod was fusion-spliced to a 0.5 mm pure-silica core transport fiber of 5 m length. The radiation-indced luminescence was detected at the end of the transport fiber using the monochromator POSSU, with a photomultiplier tube (PMT) as a photon detector. The PMT signal was transported to a digitizer (CAEN N6751), and the digitized PMT signal traces is the main part of this data set. A spectrometer (Ocean Optics USB2000+ UV-VIS-ES) was also used as a light detector, to measure emission spectra.\r\n\r\nThe set contains data from runs with various experimental configurations. The main parameters that are varied are thickness of acrylic over the sample in the beam, electron beam energy, electron beam incident angle, and the selected data collection wavelength with the monochromator in the runs when it was used."
