"fi": "Kokopuun korjuun vaikutus suometsien puuston kasvuun ja ravinnetalouteen (SUOKOKOP) - Koesarjan kokeiden tavoitteena on selvittää biomassan tehostetun talteenoton vaikutuksia suometsien kasvuun ja ravinnetalouteen. Energiapuun hakkuut ja käyttö ovat kasvaneet voimakkaasti viime vuosien aikana. Energia-puuta ei ole juurikaan korjattu turvemailta, vaikka suometsissä voisi olla tähän soveltuvia kohteita. Integroitu energia- ja ainespuunkorjuu voisi parantaa suometsien harvennushakkuiden taloutta. Koesarjassa tutkitaan turvemaamännikössä erilaisten harvennushakkuutapojen vaikutusta metsikköön jäävien hakkuutähteiden ravinnemääriin, verrataan hakkuutähteiden ravinnemääriä turpeen ravinnemääriin, seurataan neulasten ravinnepitoisuuksien muutosta ja puuston kasvua. Harvennuksen yhteydessä verrataan normaalia ainespuun korjuuta kokopuukorjuuseen ja sen erilaisiin toteutumisvaihtoehtoihin. \n\n## Menetelmäkuvaus\n\nKoejärjestelyinä kaikilla viidellä kokeella on satunnaistettujen lohkojen koeasetelma. Tutkimuskohteet olivat pääosin Ptkg II-tyypin turvekankaita. Koealalle sijoitettiin 15 näytealaa joista kunkin pinta-ala on 1m x 3m= 3m2. \n\nEnnen kasvatushakkuuta puustolle tehtiin alkumittaus. Ennen hakkuuta puuston keskipituus oli 11-14 m. Hieskoivua esiintyi sekapuuna (0–30 % tilavuudesta). Harvennukset tehtiin talviaikana ja hakkuupoistuma oli kohteesta riippuen 43 - 150 m3 ha-1. Välittömästi hakkuun jälkeen jäänyt puusto mitattiin ja tämän jälkeen puustomittauksia tehtiin viiden vuoden välein. Mannilan kokeella puusto mitattiin koealoittain kahdelta ympyräkoealalta (säde 6 metriä), kaikilla muilla mittausalana oli kaistale. Kaikki myöhäisemmät mittaukset tehtiin koealoille rajatuilta mittauskaistaleilta koska suometsissä ojien läheisyydellä on merkitsevä vaikutus puiden kasvuun.\n\nNeulasnäytteitä otettiin vuosittain viiden ensimmäisen vuoden ajan. Koealakohtainen kokoelmanäyte koostettiin vähintään viidestä puusta otetuilla näytteillä. Näyte otettiin elävän latvuksen ylimmästä kolmanneksesta, etelän puolelta. Näytteeseen kelpuutettiin ainoastaan edellisen kesän neulaset.\nHakkuun jälkeen koealoille jääneen hakkuutähteen määrä selvitettiin välittömästi hakkuun jälkeen tehdyillä punnituksilla.\n\nAinespuukorjuussa (SOH) kaikki hakkuutähteet jäivät metsään. Kun ainespuukorjuussa otettiin talteen latvuksesta tehty karsittu polttoranka, jäi hakkuutähteitä hieman vähemmän (SOH-E). Kokopuukorjuussa (WTH) kasvupaikalta poistettiin puut latvuksineen. Lisäksi täydensimme kokopuukorjuuta keräämällä koealoilta niille jääneitä hakkuutähteitä (WTH-M) käsityönä. Kukin käsittely toistettiin 3-6 kertaa 0,07 – 0,20 ha suuruisilla koealoilla. \n\nKoealoille jääneiden hakkuutähteiden massa punnittiin (systemaattinen otanta) ja niistä otettiin näytteet kosteuden ja ravinnepitoisuuksien määrittämiseksi. Hakkuun jälkeen koealoille jääneen hakkuutähteen määrän punnitus:\nKoealalle sijoitettiin 15 näytealaa joista kunkin pinta-ala on 1m x 3m= 3m2. Näytealojen sisältä kerättiin ja punnittiin kaikki hakkuutähde. Samalla otettiin joka viidennestä näytealasta (näytealat 5, 10 ja 15) erillinen näyte jonka avulla määritettiin kosteusprosentti. Kyseisestä näytteestä punnittiin kuivapainot kolmelle eri ositteelle erikseen (neulaset ja lehdet, alle 2mm:n oksat+ irrallinen tuohi+kuori ja kolmantena yli 2 mm:n oksat). Linja- ja koealaväli näytealoille määräytyi koealan kokonaispinta-alan mukaan kaavan neliöjuuri(ruudun pinta-ala / 15) mukaan.\n\nLisäksi otettiin tilavuustarkat näytteet turpeesta 0-20 cm:n kerroksesta ja määritettiin näytteiden ravinnepitoisuudet."

Rikkakasvilajien alueelliset erot määrittävät osaltaan paikallista kasvinsuojeluneuvontaa.\nPitkään jatkuneiden ja säännöllisesti toistettujen seurantojen avulla saadaan tietoa myös, miten lämpenevä ilmasto sekä muutokset viljelykäytännöissä ja kasvinsuojeluaineiden valikoimassa muovaavat rikkakasvilajistoa. Tutkimuksessa selvitetään, onko tiettyjen rikkakasvilajien vastustuskyky kasvanut kasvinsuojeluaineita vastaan.\n\n## Tulokset ja seurantamenetelmät\nKattavimmat tulokset rikkakasviseurannoista on julkaistu tieteellisinä artikkeleina. Luken tutkijat ovat hyödyntäneet aineistoa neuvonnallisissa artikkeleissa ja koulutuksissa. Vuonna 2020 alkaneen seurannan tavoitteena on laatia yhteenvetoja ja karttaesityksiä rikkakasvien alueellisesta esiintymisestä.\nRikkakasviseuranta toteutetaan kolmevuotisjaksoina samoilla maatiloilla noin 10 vuoden välein. Tutkimusalueet sijaitsevat Etelä- ja Keski-Suomessa Nivala-Vieremä-Kitee-akselin eteläpuolella. Seurantaan osallistuu noin 250 karja- tai kasvintuotantotilaa. Luomutiloja on ollut mukana 1990-luvulta lähtien. \nViljelijä päättää itse Luken tutkimuksessa mukana olevien peltolohkojen viljelystä ja kasvinsuojelusta. Viljelijät seuraavat pelloillaan rikkakasvien taimettumista sekä pohtivat kemiallisen torjunnan tarvetta ja ainevalintoja. Luke saa tiedot viljelytoimista viljelijöiltä ja Ruokaviraston tietokannoista. Seuranta-aineisto sisältää havaintoja noin 150 kasvilajista, joista vain osa haittaa merkittävästi kevätviljan kasvua.\nRikkakasviseurannassa noudatetaan EU:n Tietosuoja-asetusta, yksittäisten tilojen ja peltojen seurantatietoja käytetään vain tutkimustarkoituksiin."

"en": "The corpus is available in Kielipankki - the Language Bank of Finland (korp.csc.fi).\n\nERME contains predominantly original Erzya and Moksha literature. It consists of several media publications from the 19th to the 20th century. ERME was mapped in Saransk in 1997-2004, while in Helsinki it has been mapped since 2004. The most basic format used is XML, with a granularity extending to chapter level. The goal is to create corpora with a granularity extending to word level with bibliographic reference to the sentence level.\n\nThe texts are scrambled at the paragraph level.\n\nThis new version contains the literature found in the older instance and has grown markedly. While the old version was merely text divided to sentence level, the new version has lemmatization and dependencies. At sentence level contextual translation (English or Finnish translation) may be present, while at word level there is morphological encoding, corresponding to each context. Preliminary morpho-syntactic analysis is carried out using HFST-based transducers and Constraint Grammar disambiguation, function and dependency tagging, which have been developed in the Giellatekno infrastructure of the University of Tromsø. \n\nThe grammatical analysis and labeling comply with the practices developed in the Giellatekno infrastructure of the University of Tromsø. These practices are applied in the documentation of several Uralic languages.\n\nAmount of processed material: more than 2.8 million words. \n\nThe amount of the processed material is to be increased subsequently. Future versions will strive to improve upon the morphological disambiguation of the corpus texts, the constraint-grammar assignment of functions, and the conversion from CG output to UD-type dependencies."

"en": "Results of an experimental campaign performed with the CUBE-ECRIS ion source focused on studying the use of rectangular slit extraction aperture for ion beam formation and extraction and comparing the resulting performance with the results obtained using a conventional round extraction aperture. The studies include measurements of the extracted ion beam currents and charge state distributions of Ar, Kr and Xe beams, as well as measurements of the beam emittance to determine the quality and other properties of the extracted beams. Beam transport was also studied with He beams. The experimental work was carried out from May to September of 2022."

"en": "The first sub-corpus of the Finnish Sign Language Corpus (2014) collected in the CFINSL (Finnish Sign Language Corpus) project contains material only in Finnish sign language. The published corpus contains a total of over fourteen hours of video material from 21 signers. The multimodal dataset includes video material as well as machine-readable annotations and metadata temporally linked to the material. Annotation includes the identification of signs, the extraction of their meanings and forms, and sentence-level translations.\r\n\r\nThe material comprises conversations and elicited narratives from 21 Finnish Sign Language signers who belong to different age groups and live in different parts of Finland. "en": "This online survey asked service workers for experiential and embodied information about working with background music. The data was collected in cooperation with the Service Union United PAM (n=747). \n\nThe data includes four documents:\n- questionnaire responses in excel format \n- questions as docx file\n- a data sheet; and \n- a survey fact sheet.\n\nThe questionnaire contained a total of 19 questions in three sections, excluding background information. The eight questions in the initial section asked respondents about their experience of the background music in their most recent workspace. The next six questions asked about more general views on background music, as well as shared discussions with colleagues and customers. In the final cluster of four questions, respondents were asked to describe their workplace PA technology and their experiences of using it. The final open-ended question encouraged respondents to write freely about issues the survey had overlooked. A large number of questions were answered in free text boxes. A significant amount of qualitative data ended up in the data, as the open questions were answered in large numbers.\n\nThis extensive survey was conducted electronically in Spring 2021. Email addresses were extracted from the PAM membership register of working age and retired paying members who worked or had worked in the retail, tourism, hospitality and leisure professions. Respondents provided their occupation in a free text field. Around one in five respondents had experience in more than one area of service work. \n\n722 respondents completed the questionnaire in Finnish, 10 in Swedish and 15 in English. The age range of the respondents is between 18 and 85 years. Around 84% of the respondents are women. In addition to the year of birth, the respondents were not required to provide any personal information, so it is not possible to estimate the geographical distribution of the data, for example. \n\nThe breakdown of responses by sector is as follows. The distribution of the retail sector (485 responses) includes responses mainly from food, clothing and grocery retailing, but also from gambling outlets, street food stalls, pharmacies, and petrol stations. A large majority of respondents indicate their job description as a salesperson or \"cashier\". Respondents in the restaurant sector (139 respondents) work in bars, nightclubs and cafés in addition to food restaurants. They work with customers in the same acoustic space or in a separate kitchen. Hospitality workers (50 respondents) are from the hotel and tourism sector, and real estate workers (40 respondents) are from cleaning and logistics, security and maintenance staff. Excluded from these categories are responses from those working in office and clerical jobs (e.g. as telemarketers), hairdressers, laundry workers, amusement park and cinema workers, and those working in debt collection (33 responses), as well as responses where the sector was not mentioned (6 responses). \n\nThe online questionnaire was part of the ACMESOCS project (Auditory Cultures, Mediated Sounds and Constructed Spaces), at the University of Eastern Finland ( 01.09.2019 - 31.12.2022). The project investigated urban sound cultures, the experience of music and space, and music listening. The project focused on economic, social, legal and technological factors and their impact on the historical formation of the Finnish background music industry, the construction of a modern urban sound environment, the use of mediated music and the ways in which urban residents of different ages and with different sensory faculties respond to music in public spaces.",

Viimeisessä neljän kysymyksen ryppäässä vastaajat saivat kertoa työpaikan äänentoisto- ja kuunteluteknologiasta sekä sen käyttökokemuksista. Kyselyn päättävä avoin kysymys kannusti vielä vastaajia kirjoittamaan vapaasti tutkijoiden unohtamista tai ohittamista seikoista. Suuren osaan kysymyksistä vastattiin vapaissa tekstikentissä. Aineistoksi päätyikin merkittävä määrä laadullista aineistoa, koska avoimiin kysymyksiin oli vastattu vuolaasti.\n\nLaaja kysely taustamusiikin kokemisesta työpaikalla toteutettiin sähköisesti keväällä 2021. PAMin jäsenrekisteristä poimittiin sähköpostiosoitteita työikäisiltä ja eläkkeelle siirtyneiltä maksavilta jäseniltä, jotka työskentelivät tai olivat työskennelleet kaupan alan tai matkailu-, ravintola- ja vapaa-ajanpalvelujen ammateissa. Vastaajien toimiala on ilmoitettu vapaassa tekstikentässä. Noin joka viidennellä vastaajalla oli kokemusta enemmän kuin yhdeltä palvelutyön alueelta. \n\nSuomen kielellä lomakkeen on täyttänyt 722, ruotsiksi 10 ja englanniksi 15 vastaajaa. Vastaajien ikäjakauma on välillä 18–85 vuotta. Naisia on vastanneista noin 84 %. Syntymävuoden lisäksi ei vastatessa tarvinnut antaa itsestään mitään henkilöiviä tietoja, joten esimerkiksi aineiston maantieteellistä jakaumaa ei ole mahdollista arvioida. \n\nVastaukset jakautuvat eri aloihin seuraavasti. Kaupan alan jakauma (485 vastausta) pitää sisällään vastauksia pääosin ruoan, vaatteiden ja päivittäistavaroiden vähittäismyynnistä, mutta myös rahapelaamisen toimipisteiltä, grillikioskeilta, apteekeista ja huoltoasemilta. Toimenkuvaksi suuri osa vastaajista ilmoittaa myyjän tai “kassan”. Ravintola-alan vastaajat (139 vastausta) työskentelevät ruokaravintoloiden lisäksi baareissa, yökerhoissa ja kahviloissa. Työtä tehdään asiakkaiden parissa samassa akustisessa tilassa tai tästä tilasta erillään olevassa keittiössä. Majoitusalan työntekijät (50 vastausta) ovat hotelleista ja matkailun alalta, ja kiinteistöalan vastaajista (40 vastausta) siivouksen, varasto- ja logistiikkatyön, vartijoiden ja turvallisuushenkilökunnan sekä huoltohenkilökunnan parista. We analyze the material, emphasizing the respondents’ statements about well-being as expressions of coping, well-being, strain, and satisfaction. We discuss the results with a qualitative study of the topic that emphasizes music as a social and spatial element in the sales situation (Payne et al 2017, Kontukoski & Uimonen 2019). Our data shows that well-being at work and perceived musical agency interact. Occupational well-being plays an important role in looking specifically at work-related well-being and background music. The workspace changes the meanings of music to those of professionality, rendering the employees’ personal relationships to music secondary.</jats:p>",

"en": "Commercial marine fishery statistics (until 2016, Professional marine fishery statistics) are based on periodic catch\ndeclarations by commercial fishermen. A commercial fisherman may be a natural person (person or business) or a legal person (limited liability company, limited partnership or general partnership), engaged in fishing for commercial purposes. \n\nAccording to the Fishing Act (379/2015), all commercial fishermen must be entered in the register on commercial\nfishermen and the Act on the registration of fishing and aquaculture vessels operating at sea (690/2010) obliges all\nvessels and boats engaged in commercial marine fishing under a Finnish flag to be registered. Both registers are maintained by Southwest Finland Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment. In Åland, the Provincial\n\nGovernment maintains a register of fishing vessels engaged in commercial fishing. The regionalization used in the statistics is consistent with the spatial classification of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES). Catch statistics are presented in accordance with international practice as a nominal catch.\nNominal catch refers to catches landed by fishermen in Finland or abroad or transshipped at sea. For statistical purposes, this is reported in kilograms live weight, i.e. the weight of ungutted fish. Discarded fish, for example fish damaged by seals, are not included in the nominal catch. \nThe catch is reported by species and fishing gear. The amount of catch is calculated separately for each species based on nonzero observations during the reporting period and presented in trap net, gill net, trawl and hook days. For instance, trap net fishing with two trap nets over ten days accounts for twenty trap net days. The reporting period is one fishing effort in the fishing logbook and the landing report of coastal vessels of less than 10 metres length, and one month on the coastal fishing report.\nThe catch per unit effort (CPUE) is given as the quantity of catch in kilograms (kg) per fishing gear and 24 hours of fishing. The CPUE per species is also calculated for non-zero catch observations only. The number of units of fishing gear is\ncalculated as the sum of fisherman-specific highest numbers of units of gear simultaneously used for fishing. The number of\nfishing days is the total number of fishing days of all fishermen for the gear in question, regardless of whether or not there was a catch. Fishing gear is used for different lengths of time and its number varies. This variation is taken into account in fishing gear days (trap net, gillnet and trawl days), for example five days of fishing with ten nets totals fifty net days.",

"fi": "Metsästystilasto sisältää yhteenvedon metsästyssaaliista ja metsästäjien määristä tilastointivuoden (kalenterivuosi) aikana.Metsästystilastossa käytetty aluejako noudattaa Suomen Riistakeskuksen aluejakoa. Saalisarvioissa ilmoitetaan alue, josta saalis on pyydetty. Metsästäjien ja metsästyspäivien määrä ilmoitetaan sen alueen mukaan, mihin metsästäjän oma riistanhoitoyhdistys kuuluu. \n\nPienriistan metsästystä koskevat tiedot kerätään otantatutkimuksella. Otos poimitaan Suomen Riistakeskuksen ylläpitämästä metsästäjärekisteristä niiden metsästäjien joukosta, jotka olivat maksaneet riistanhoitomaksun tilastointivuodelle. Vuodesta 2018 lähtien otokseen on poimittu metsästysrekisteristä 7500 metsästäjää. Pyyntiluvanvaraisten tai ilmoitusvelvollisuuden piirissä olevien riistalajien saalistiedot saadaar Suomen riistakeskuksesta\n\nAktiivisella metsästysmuodolla tarkoitetaan metsästystä aseella, koiran avulla tai vastaavasti, niin että metsästäjä on koko ajan läsnä. Passiivisella metsästysmuodolla tarkoitetaan ansapyyntiä loukuilla, raudoilla, rihmoilla tai vastaavilla. \n\n1976/1977-1994/1995 tilastointijakso oli metsästysvuosi. Vuodesta 1996 lähtien tilastointijakso on kalenterivuosi."
