The essays were written 10th March 2008. \n\nThe material in the corpus has been analyzed, e.g., in the book Modersmålsprovet i brännpunkten (2020) published by Svenska litteratursällskapet i Finland.",

"en": "The project \"A sacred place? Discourses and place embeddedness of Finnish human-nature relationship\" combined scientific and arts-based methodologies in investigating human-nature relations from a transdisciplinary perspective. The project was funded by the Kone Foundation in years 2020 to 2022. \r\n\r\nAs part of it, a public online survey was conducted on the diversity of human-nature relations within the context of Finland. The aim of the survey was to collect information on different understandings and experiences on nature. The data was collected using a questionnaire that could be answered (in Finnish) on the internet in between August 7th and November 2nd, 2020. Only respondents aged over 18 years were included. Surveying begun in August 2020 using snowball sampling, and in October-November 2020 the sample was enlarged using the survey panelists of the company Suomen Onlinetutkimus, Inc. In total, 726 respondents participated in the survey. Responding was anonymous and no direct identifiers were collected. Information on respondents' background was collected using generalized categorical variables. The main content of the survey consisted of statements, to which the respondents expressed their agreement or disagreement using a 5-step Likert scale. To ensure the anonymity and personal data security of the respondents, the published version of the survey data excludes two variables that contained responses in a free-text format.",

Koneen säätiön rahoittama hanke toimi Jyväskylän yliopistossa vuodesta 2020 vuoteen 2022. \r\n\r\nOsana hanketta kerättiin kyselyaineisto, joka kartoitti luontosuhteen moninaisuutta Suomessa, tavoitteenaan selvittää mahdollisimman kattavasti vastaajien erilaisia käsityksiä ja kokemuksia luonnosta. Suomenkielinen Oma luontosuhteeni -kysely oli avoinna internetissä ajalla 7.8.-2.11.2020. Kyselytutkimukseen osallistumisen edellytys oli, että vastaajat olivat yli 18-vuotiaita. Vastausten kerääminen aloitettiin elokuussa 2020 lumipallo-otannalla, ja otantaa täydennettiin loka-marraskuussa 2020 Suomen Onlinetutkimus Oy:n paneelivastaajilla. Kyselyyn vastasi yhteensä 726 henkilöä. Kyselyyn vastattiin nimettömästi eikä vastaajilta kerätty suoria tunnisteita. Taustatietoja kerättiin karkeistetusti. Kysely koostui pääasiassa väittämistä, joihin vastattiin käyttäen 5-portaista Likert-asteikkoa. Avoimesti julkaistavasta aineistoversiosta on poistettu kaksi avoimia tekstivastauksia sisältänyttä muuttujaa vastaajien anonymiteetin ja henkilötietoturvan säilyttämiseksi."

"fi": "HARKAS-koesarjan tarkoituksena on tutkia vaihtelevan harvennusvoimakkuuden ja harvennuksen ajankohdan vaikutuksia puuston kehitykseen ja elinvoimaisuuteen sekä hakkuussa korjattavan puuston määrään, rakenteeseen ja laatuun. Suurin osa käsittelyistä on alaharvennuksa, mutta koesarjan kokeissa on myös yläharvennettuja ja systemaattisesti harvennettuja koealoja. Suurin osa kokeista on perustettu ensiharvennusvaiheen metsiköihin; vanhimmat 1960-luvun alussa, pääosa 1970-luvulla, ja uusimmat 2020-luvulla. Kokeita on perustettu kaikkiaan 107; 30 kuusikoissa, 76 männiköissä ja 1 lehtikuusikossa. Vuosien varrella kokeita on lopetettu säästösyistä ja tuhoutunut. Kokeista on ylläpidetty koejärjestelyiltään parhaimmat ja pyritty keskittämään kokeet samoille alueille, jolloin niiden ylläpito on edullista. Vuonna 2023 kokeita on voimassa alle puolet alkuperäisestä määrästä (44). \n\n## Menetelmäkuvaus\nKoejärjestelyltään kokeet edustavat epätäydellisesti satunnaistettujen lohkojen koetta, jossa yleensä esiintyy neljä harvennustasoa. Näistä yksi aina täysin harventamaton vertailuala. Kokeet on perustettu subjektiivisesti valittuihin, tavanomaista tasaisempiin yhden puulajin metsiköihin. Kohteiden subjektiivisen valinnan vuoksi tulosten yleistämisessä pitää olla varovainen. Toisaalta kokeissa metsiköiden sisäinen kasvupaikka- ym. vaihtelu on pientä ja tutkittavat käsittelyt on arvottu ja toistettu, joten useiden samanlaisten kokeiden perusteella saadut tulokset käsittelyn vaikutuksista ovat yleistämiskelpoisia. Kokeilla tehdyt mittaukset ja kertyneen aineiston rakenne on kuvattu julkaisussa ’Metsikkökokeiden maastotyöohjeet’ MTT 257/ 1987."

"fi": "Tutkimuksen päätavoitteena on seurata eri puulajien muodostamien metsän- ja puurajojen mahdollista siirtymistä sekä puuston uudistumisessa ja kasvussa tapahtuvia muutoksia. Aineisto koostuu 16 metsänrajan seuranta-alojen mittauksista vuosina 1983 – 2015. Seuranta-alat sijaitsevat tuntureiden rinteillä eri puolilla Lappia. Seuranta-aloista 9 on puustoltaan mäntyvaltaisia (Pinus sylvestris), 5 kuusivaltaisia (Picea abies) ja 2 seuranta-aluetta sijaitsee tunturikoivuvyöhykkeellä (Betula sp.).\n\n## Menetelmäkuvaus\nPopulaatioekologisia muutoksia on seurattu neljällä korkeusgradientin suuntaisella vyöhykkeellä: metsävyöhykkeellä, metsänrajalla, puurajalla ja tunturipaljakalla. Kullakin vyöhykkeellä on kolme ympyräkoealaa, pinta-alaltaan 300 m2 (metsä ja metsänraja) tai 500 m2 (puuraja ja paljakka), jotka sijaitsevat 40 metrin välein toisistaan. Seurantatutkimus koostuu siten 172 ympyräkoealasta. Kultakin ympyräkoealalta yksittäisten puiden ja taimien sijainti on kartoitettu (etäisyys ja suunta keskipisteestä), niiden pituus ja läpimitta on mitattu, ja elinvoima arvioitu. Ensimmäisen mittauksen yhteydessä myös mahdolliset tuhot ja niiden aiheuttajat identifioitiin. Osalla seuranta-aloista suoritettiin myös kasvipeiteanalyysi. Kutakin koealaa koskevat yleistiedot, kuten maaperän rakenne, aluskasvillisuuden laatu, rinteen kaltevuus sekä yleiset puustotiedot on määritetty. Koealat perustettiin ja ensimmäinen inventointi suoritettiin vuosina 1983 ja 1984. Sen jälkeen koealainventoinnit on suoritettu vuosina 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009 ja 2015. Mittauksia on tarkoitus jatkaa noin viiden vuoden intervallilla."

"en": "The corpus is available via Korp in Kielipankki – the Language Bank of Finland.\n\nThe Finnish News Agency Archive corpus comprises newswire articles in Finnish sent to media outlets by the Finnish News Agency (STT) between 1992-2018. The corpus includes about 2,8 million items in total. Most of the material is news articles that vary from short “news flashes” to telegrams and longer articles. News articles are categorized by department (domestic, foreign, economy, politics, culture, entertainment and sports) as well as by metadata (IPTC subject categories or keywords and location data). The archive also includes other material STT has created or forwarded such as news planning lists, sports results, analysis articles and press releases. \n\nThe corpus is available for non-commercial use where the context is restricted to sentences.",

Arkistossa on yhteensä noin 2,8 miljoonaa yksittäistä kohdetta. Valtaosa artikkeleista on uutisjuttuja, joiden pituus vaihtelee hyvin lyhyistä ”viivauutisista” uutissähkeisiin ja pidempiin uutisjuttuihin. "en": "This dataset is a set of geographic data layers (shapefiles and rasters) and connectivity measures (excel and txt-files) created during Maari Kosmas' master thesis, under the supervision of Rémi Duflot. The objectives of the study was to model the habitat network of the Siberian Flying Squirrel in the city of Jyväskylä, quantify the impact of the urban development plan on this network, and explore various avoidance, reduction, and offsetting scenarios to mitigate these impacts. \r\n\r\nThe dataset consists of input data created based on data publicly available in Finland, more specific data for the study areas, and manual digitization from the authors (see publication for the list of data sources). Input data includes: potential habitat map, land cover map, development projects, mitigation scenarios etc... These data were analysed using the software Graphab, which create spatial graph and calculate connectivity metrics based on these graphs.\r\n\r\nThe output dataset consists of geographic layers representing the spatial graph obtained at each step of the mitigation sequence: initial network, network after urban development, networks after the avoidance, reduction and offsetting actions. Only the results from each steps are included, not all tested scenarios. However, these can be reconstructed from the input data. Connectivity values are provided for all scenarios tested along these steps (as described in the input data).\r\n\r\nThe dataset was gathered, processed, and analyzed between 2019-2020.",
"fi": "Aineisto koostuu maantieteellisistä aineistoista (shapefile- ja rasteritiedostoista) sekä kytkeytyneisyysarvoista (excel- ja txt-tiedostoista), jotka tuotettiin Maari Kosman Pro gradu-tutkielman yhteydessä, Rémi Duflotin ohjauksessa. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli mallintaa liito-oravan (Pteromys volans) elinympäristöverkosto Jyväskylän kaupungin alueella, selvittää suunnitellun kaupunkikehityksen vaikutus verkostoon ja tutkia erilaisia välttämis-, vähentämis- ja kompensaatioskenaarioita (lievennyshierarkia) vaikutusten lieventämiseksi. \r\n\r\nAineisto koostuu Suomessa julkisesti saatavilla olevien tietojen sekä tutkimusaluetta koskevien tarkempien tietojen pohjalta luoduista, manuaalisesti digitoiduista syöttötiedoista (ks. julkaisu kaikista tietolähteistä). Nämä tiedot analysoitiin Graphab-ohjelmistoa käyttäen, joka luo spatiaalisen graafin ja laskee sille kytkeytyneisyysarvoja aineiston perusteella. Tulosaineisto koostuu maantieteellisistä aineistoista, jotka edustavat kussakin lievennyshierarkian vaiheessa saatua spatiaalista graafia: alkuperäinen elinympäristöverkosto, verkosto kaupunkikehityksen jälkeen, verkostot välttämis-, vähentämis- ja kompensointitoimien jälkeen. "en": "PARIS project investigated employees' information sharing on enterprise social media as well as through other organizational communication technologies. Specifically, the project focused on paradoxes and affordances related to information sharing. Data collection involved a longitudinal, 3-wave survey from two global organizations as well as 55 in-depth interviews. The surveys and interviews dealt with organizational communication technology use and their affordances, benefits and drawbacks related to organizational communication technology use, connectivity and well-being issues, as well as employees' work-life boundary management in global work. The project was conducted in 2018–2022 in close collaboration with international collaborators and funded by Academy of Finland.",
