"en": "The study charted Finnish people's values and attitudes. The themes of the Spring 2025 survey included security and preparedness for various threats, wellbeing services counties, healthcare, the economy, ideological perspectives, and freedom. First, the respondents were presented with a variety of attitudinal statements concerning, among other topics, the roles of the EU and the United States, Finland's security policy, the education system, social and healthcare services, municipal service provision, and individual responsibility and freedom. In addition, questions were asked about NATO membership, the Russian invasion of Ukraine and possible peace terms related to it, future threats and preparations for them, and the desirability of various future developments was assessed. The survey also explored the respondents' perceived influence through elections, familiarity with wellbeing services counties, and assessments of healthcare performance. Attitudes towards proposals for promoting economic growth, different economic systems and ideologies, and respondents' positions on political and value dimensions (left-right, conservative-liberal) were charted. Furthermore, the respondents evaluated the extent of freedoms in different areas of life and whether certain values and practices represented liberalism, conservatism, both, or neither. Background variables included the respondent's gender, age group, number of inhabitants in the municipality of residence, region (NUTS3), type of employer, working hours, type of employment contract, education, economic activity and occupational status, employment sector, trade union membership, what political party R would vote for in parliamentary elections, self-perceived social class, mother tongue, minority status and annual gross income of the R's household.",
"fi": "Tutkimuksessa kartoitettiin suomalaisten arvoja ja asenteita. Tällä kertaa teemoina ovat turvallisuus ja erilaisiin uhkiin varautuminen, hyvinvointialueet, terveyspalvelut, talous, aatemaailmat ja vapaus. Aluksi vastaajille esitettiin ajankohtaisia yhteiskunnallisista väittämiä, jotka käsittelivät muiden muassa EU:n ja Yhdysvaltojen roolia, Suomen turvallisuuspolitiikkaa, koulutusjärjestelmää, sosiaali- ja terveydenhuoltoa, kuntien palvelutuotantoa sekä yksilön vastuuta ja vapautta. Lisäksi kysyttiin Nato-jäsenyydestä, Venäjän hyökkäyssodasta Ukrainaan ja siihen liittyvistä mahdollisista rauhanehdoista, tulevaisuuden uhkakuvista ja niihin varautumisesta, sekä arvioitiin erilaisten tulevien kehityskulkujen toivottavuutta. Vastaajilta tiedusteltiin myös, kuinka paljon he kokivat voivansa vaikuttaa elinoloihinsa eri vaalien kautta, kuinka hyvin he tunsivat hyvinvointialueisiin liittyviä asioita, ja miten he arvioivat terveydenhuollon toimivuutta eri osa-alueilla. Lisäksi kartoitettiin vastaajien suhtautumista talouskasvun edistämiseen liittyviin ehdotuksiin, erilaisiin talousjärjestelmiin ja ideologioihin, sekä heidän sijoittumistaan poliittisilla ja arvoulottuvuuksilla (vasemmisto-oikeisto, konservatiivi-liberaali). Kysely sisälsi myös osion, jossa vastaajat arvioivat vapauksien määrää eri elämänalueilla, sekä sitä, edustavatko tietyt arvot ja toimintatavat heidän mielestään liberalismia, konservatismia, molempia tai eivät kumpaakaan. Taustamuuttujia olivat sukupuoli, ikäryhmä, elämänvaihe, asuinkunnan koko, asuinkunta, asuinmaakunta, perus- ja ammatillinen koulutus, ammattiryhmä, työnantajatyyppi, työsuhde, toimiala, puoluekanta (mitä puoluetta äänestäisi, jos eduskuntavaalit pidettäisiin nyt), ammatillinen keskusjärjestö, yhteiskuntaluokka, äidinkieli, talouden bruttotulot ja vähemmistöön kuuluminen."

Due to the timing of the interviews, several of the interviews discuss the impact of COVID-19 restrictions on the lives of older people and the services provided to them. Group interviews with client and service advisors cover the reasons for becoming a client, the typical service process, and counselling and guidance. They also discuss service needs assessments, post-assessment interventions and the challenges of meeting service needs. Discussions also cover the identification of specific support needs and cooperation with different service providers. The group interviews with third sector workers ask what kind of services the organisation offers to older people and in what situation older people seek these services. They also discuss the challenges faced by older people, such as financial problems, and their resources. The interviews also discuss training of volunteers and referral of older people to other services, as well as cooperation with social services in the area. The group interviews with social workers in client counselling ask about successful and challenging client relationships and reflect on trust and the authority of the parties in a client relationship. The interviews also discuss how the client's motivation or attitude affects the relationship and how the worker can influence these factors. Haastattelujen ajankohdan vuoksi useissa haastattelussa sivutaan COVID-19 rajoitusten vaikutuksia ikääntyneiden elämään ja heille tarjottaviin palveluihin. Asiakas- ja palveluohjaajien ryhmähaastatteluissa käsitellään asiakkaaksi tulon syitä, tyypillistä palveluprosessia sekä neuvontaa ja ohjausta. Lisäksi keskustellaan palvelutarpeen arvioinnista, arvioinnin jälkeisistä toimenpiteistä ja palvelutarpeisiin vastaamisen haasteista. Keskusteluja käydään myös erityisen tuen tarpeiden tunnistamisesta ja yhteistyöstä eri palvelutarjoajien kanssa. Kolmannen sektorin työntekijöiden ryhmähaastatteluissa kysytään, millaisia palveluja organisaatio tarjoaa ikääntyneille ja millaisessa tilanteessa ikääntyneet hakeutuvat näihin palveluihin. Asiakasohjauksen sosiaalityöntekijöiden ryhmähaastatteluissa kysytään onnistuneista ja haasteellisista asiakassuhteista ja pohditaan luottamusta ja osapuolten valtaa asiakassuhteessa. Lisäksi haastatteluissa keskustellaan siitä, miten asiakkaan motivaatio tai asenne vaikuttaa asiakassuhteeseen ja miten työntekijä voi vaikuttaa näihin tekijöihin. Haastatteluissa keskustellaan myös siitä, miten toimitaan, jos asiakas ei itse koe tai ymmärrä olevansa tuen tarpeessa, mutta työntekijä näkee tuen tarpeen ilmeisenä. Diakoniatyöntekijöiden ryhmähaastatteluissa käsitellään osallistujien omaa diakoniatyötaustaa ja heidän seurakuntiensa diakoniatyön vastuualueita. Osallistujat kertovat, miten ikääntyneet tulevat diakoniatyön piiriin ja millaisista syistä. He kuvaavat erilaisia haasteellisia asiakastilanteita ja arvioivat diakoniatyön vaikutusmahdollisuuksia vastata ikääntyneiden tuen tarpeisiin. Haastatteluissa käsitellään myös yhteistyötä muiden palveluntarjoajien kanssa. Etsivän vanhustyön ryhmähaastatteluissa käsitellään työn tunnusomaisia piirteitä ja tapoja tavoittaa asiakkaat. Haastatteluissa keskustellaan ikääntyneiden asiakkaiden tuen tarpeiden syistä, kuten yksinäisyydestä, eristäytymisestä ja verkostojen puutteesta. Haastatteluissa käydään keskusteluja etsivän vanhustyön toimintatavoista ja sen merkityksestä osana ikääntyvien palveluita. Gerontologisen sosiaalityöntekijöiden ryhmähaastatteluissa selvitetään, millä tavoin ja millaisista syistä asiakkaat tulevat palveluohjauksen piiriin. Osallistujat kuvaavat asiakasohjausprosessin sisällön ja palvelutarpeen selvittämisen käytännöt. Haastateltavilta kysytään, millaisissa tilanteissa tarvitaan sosiaalityöntekijän asiantuntemusta ja esimerkkejä näistä tilanteista. Lisäksi käsitellään erityisen tuen tarpeen tunnistamista ja yhteistyöstä ikäihmisten palveluita tuottavien kanssa. Sosiaalipäivystyksen ja toimeentulotuen työntekijöiden ryhmähaastatteluissa keskustellaan ikääntyneiden ohjautumisesta asiakkaiksi ja heidän palvelutarpeensa arvioinnista. Osallistujat käyvät läpi myös työn haasteita, asiakkaiden erityisen tuen tarpeita ja niiden tunnistamista. Lopuksi keskustellaan yhteistyöstä gerontologisen sosiaalityön kanssa. Diakoniatyön ja gerontologisen sosiaalityön asiakkaiden yksilöhaastatteluissa käydään läpi haastateltavien elämäntilannetta, arkipäivää, asuinympäristöä, kodin olosuhteita ja perhesuhteita. Haastateltavat kertovat elämänhistoriastaan, tekemästään työstä, nykyisistä huolista ja ongelmista. Heiltä kysytään, miten kokevat avun hakemisen ja saamisen onnistuneen ja he kertovat myös ajatuksia tulevaisuudestaan. Yksilöhaastatteluissa taustatietoina ovat asiakasryhmä, ikä, sukupuoli ja aluetieto. Ryhmähaastatteluissa taustatietoina ovat haastateltavien edustama ammatti- tai asiantuntijaryhmä, ajankohta ja haastatteluun osallistuneiden määrä ja sukupuoli."

"en": "The 2014 Alcohol and Drug Survey studied the substance use of Finnish adult population as well as attitudes and opinions on drugs and drug policies. The respondents were first asked about smoking and snus use. Alcohol use was charted by asking the respondents how often they drank and how much they tended to drink. The survey also carried a set of attitudinal statements about the health risks of different substances. The respondents were also asked if certain actions, such as polydrug use or growing cannabis plants, should be punishable by law. Regarding cannabis, the respondents were asked whether it should be legal to buy cannabis, and if it were legal, where it should be sold. The respondents' cannabis use was charted by asking them if they had used cannabis in the previous 12 months, and whether their cannabis use was recreational or medical. Ways of obtaining and using cannabis were investigated. The respondents were also asked if they knew people who grew cannabis or if they had grown cannabis themselves. The respondents were asked which illegal drugs they would try if using them was not illegal, and whether they personally knew people who used illegal drugs. They were also asked if someone had offered them illegal drugs, and how easily they thought they could obtain drugs within 24 hours. Concerning the respondents' own drug use, they were asked if they had ever used any of the various drugs listed, such as cocaine or LSD. The respondents recent drug use was charted by asking which illegal drugs they had used during last 12 months and the last 30 days. Furthermore, the respondents were asked if drug use had ever caused difficulties in different areas of their life. One set of questions surveyed which legal drugs, if any, the respondents had used for non-medical purposes. Reasons for non-medical use of legal drugs were investigated. The respondents were also asked where they had obtained the drugs. Use of nitrous oxide and glues was examined. Polydrug use was investigated by asking the respondents which combinations of drugs they had used and what their reasons for using them were. Use of performance-enhancing drugs in sports (doping) was surveyed. Opinions on drug use were probed with several statements, such as \"Use of marijuana and hashish should be legal\". The respondents were also asked if they feared that other people's drug use could cause them physical harm, and whether they considered drugs or alcohol to be the bigger social problem in Finland. The respondents' health was charted by asking them if they had been prescribed different medicines, such as anti-depressants or opiates. The respondents were also asked if they attributed any health problems to their alcohol or drug use. Finally, the respondents were asked how often they engaged in physical activities. The background variables included the respondent's gender, age, type of municipality, marital status, household composition, education, and economic activity and occupational status.",
"fi": "Päihdetutkimus 2014 tutkii suomalaisen aikuisväestön päihteiden käyttöä, niitä koskevia asenteita ja huumepoliittisia mielipiteitä. Aluksi tutkimuksessa kartoitettiin vastaajien tupakointia kysymällä tupakoinnin säännöllisyydestä sekä nuuskan ja sähkösavukkeiden käytöstä. Seuraavaksi kysyttiin alkoholin käytön yleisyyttä sekä mm. tavallista annosmäärää alkoholikäyttökerralta. Tutkimuksessa tiedusteltiin huumeisiin liittyviä asenteita kysymällä erilaisia väitekysymyksiä eriasteisesta päihdekäytöstä (esim. Kuinka suuri riski aiheutuu, jos ihmiset polttavat kannabista säännöllisesti?). Edelleen tiedusteltiin vastaajien asenteita tekojen rangaistavuuteen. Lisäksi selvitettiin vastaajien kiinnostusta käyttää erilaisia huumeita siinä tapauksessa, että ne olisivat laillisia. Kyselyssä selvitettiin myös ihmisten kokemuksia huumeiden näkyvyydestä Suomessa. Vastaajilta kysyttiin mm. tuntevatko he huumeidenkäyttäjiä ja onko heille tarjottu huumeita. Edelleen oltiin kiinnostuneita kuinka helposti vastaajien mielestä erilaisia huumausaineita olisi hankkia. Lisäksi tiedusteltiin mitä, minkä ikäisenä ja kuinka usein vastaajat olivat käyttäneet erilaisia huumausaineita. Tutkimuksessa oltiin kiinnostuneita myös huumeiden käytöstä aiheutuneista ongelmista. Tutkimuksessa kysyttiin myös lääkkeistä ja niiden väärinkäytöstä. Lisäksi selvitettiin mm. liuottimien käyttöä ja eri päihteiden sekakäyttöä. Dopingaineiden käytöstä oli oma osionsa. Kyselyssä tiedusteltiin yleisiä mielipiteitä huumelainsäädännöstä ja vastaajien kokemasta huumeiden uhasta yhteiskunnassa. Lopuksi tiedusteltiin vastaajien terveydentilasta, liikunnan harrastamisesta ja kokemista terveysongelmista. Taustamuuttujina oli mm. sukupuoli, ikä, paikkakuntatyyppi, perhetyyppi, koulutus ja työmarkkina-asema."

Kirjoituksissa käsitellään läheisten kuin omaakin kuolemaa, läheisen kuoleman vaikutusta elämään, ihanteellista kuolemaa ja kuoleman jälkeistä elämää. Lisäksi kirjoittajat pohtivat suomalaisten suhtautumista kuolemaan ja aihepiiriin liittyviä yliluonnollisia kokemuksia. Aineiston keräsivät yhteistyössä Suomalaisen Kirjallisuuden Seuran arkisto ja Suomen Akatemian Mieli ja toinen -projekti (SA266573), jossa tutkitaan ihmismieltä ja yliluonnollisina pidettyjä ilmiöitä. Kirjoitukset olivat vapaamuotoisia ja ne poikkesivat toisistaan sisällöltään ja laajuudeltaan. Osa kirjoituksista piti sisällään yksityiskohtaisia kuvauksia kuolemantapauksista ja niihin liittyvistä tuntemuksista. Osa käsitteli puolestaan yleisellä tasolla jaettuja ajatuksia kuolemasta. Usein kirjoituksissa pohdittiin suhdetta kuolleeseen henkilöön, ikävää ja kaipausta, kuolleen kanssa yhdessä koettuja asioita ja niiden vaikutuksia kirjoittajan elämään. Kirjoituskutsussa kirjoittajaa pyydettiin kertomaan, miten nykyään kuolemaan suhtaudutaan Suomessa, millaisena nähdään hyvä elämän loppuminen ja miten siihen voi itse vaikuttaa. Edelleen toivottiin näkemyksiä laitoshoidon vaikutuksista kuolevan ja omaisten suhteeseen ja siihen, voiko yhteiskunnassamme puhua kuolemasta vapaasti ja miten kuolevaan tai menetystä surevaan henkilöön suhtaudutaan. Viimeisenä kirjoittajaa pyydettiin kertomaan unessa tai valveilla koetuista kuolemaan tai vainajiin liittyvistä selittämättömistä tai paranormaaleista ilmiöistä, kuten vainajan kohtaamisesta. Kirjoitusten taustatietoina ovat kirjoittajan ammatti, syntymävuosi, asuinmaakunta ja sukupuoli. Aineistosta on tehty jatkokäyttäjälle html-versio, jonka hakemiston avulla kirjoituksia on helppo selata."

In case you cannot log in, even though you are affiliated to a university, see instructions at https://www.kielipankki.fi/lic/aca-status/\n\nA copy of the corpus is also available in CSC's computing environment.\n\nThe amph micro-corpus consists of altogether 3404 occurrences of the four most common Finnish THINK lexemes, ajatella, miettiä, pohtia, and harkita 'think, reflect, ponder, consider'.\n\nThese occurrences have been extracted from a corpus consisting of two months worth (January–February 1995) of written text from Helsingin Sanomat (1995), Finland’s major daily newspaper, and six months worth (October 2002 – April 2003) of written discussion in the SFNET (2002-2003) Internet discussion forum, namely regarding (personal) relationships (sfnet.keskustelu.ihmissuhteet) and politics (sfnet.keskustelu.politiikka). The newspaper corpus consisted altogether of 3,304,512 words of body text, excluding headers and captions (as well as punctuation tokens), and included 1,750 representatives of the studied THINK verbs, whereas the Internet corpus comprised altogether 1,174,693 words of body text, excluding quotes of previous postings as well as punctuation tokens, adding up to 1,654 representatives of the studied THINK verbs. The individual overall frequencies among the studied THINK lexemes in the corpus were 1492 for ajatella, 812 for miettiä, 713 for pohtia, and 387 for harkita.\n\nThe corpus contents were first automatically syntactically and morphologically analyzed using a computational implementation of Functional Dependency Grammar (Tapanainen and Järvinen, 1997, Järvinen and Tapanainen 1997) for Finnish, namely the FI-FDG parser (Connexor 2007). After this, all the instances of the studied THINK lexemes together with their syntactic arguments were manually validated and corrected, if necessary, and subsequently supplemented with semantic classifications. In addition, some extra-linguistic features (newspaper section or specific newsgroup, author ID when available, unique document index) are incorporated, when they could be identified and extracted from the original corpora.\n\nThe amph micro-corpus contains for each occurrence of the selected four THINK verbs in the original research corpora all relevant contextual features, including the verb itself, analyzed at the aforementioned morphological, syntactic and semantic levels in the immediate sentential context, as well as all pertinent extralinguistic features. "en": "The survey explores the identity of second-generation immigrants in Finland, their voting intentions in the 2023 parliamentary elections, and their general views on politics and society. The data was collected as part of the Gen2 survey panel, which is part of The Finnish Research Infrastructure for Public Opinion (FIRIPO). First, respondents were asked about their interest in politics and their trust in various entities, such as the government and the media. The survey then explored respondents' experiences of Finnishness and their ethnic identity. Respondents were asked whether they consider themselves part of an ethnic minority in Finland and to what extent they identify with different groups. They were also asked about the factors they consider important to their identity. In addition, the survey addressed respondents' views on political participation and the role of ethnic minorities in politics. Next, respondents were asked about their voting intentions in the 2023 parliamentary elections. They were also asked to what extent various factors and characteristics influence their choice of party and candidate or their decision not to vote. Respondents also indicated which parties they believe are best positioned to promote the interests of ethnic minority groups in Finland. Following this, respondents were asked to evaluate various options regarding the future direction of Finland. Following this, they evaluated different future policy directions for Finland, including issues such as promoting equality, increasing immigration, taxation policy, the size of the public sector, and combating climate change. Finally, respondents were asked whether they had experienced discrimination in the past five years. Background variables included the respondent's age, gender, region of residence, electoral district, statistical grouping of municipalities, level of education, occupational group, party affiliation, and the continent of birth of their parents.",
"fi": "Kyselyllä kartoitetaan maahanmuuttajataustaisten suomalaisten identiteettiä, äänestysaikeita vuoden 2023 eduskuntavaaleissa sekä yleisiä näkemyksiä politiikasta ja yhteiskunnasta. Aineisto on kerätty osana Gen2-kyselytutkimuspaneelia, joka kuuluu kansalliseen yleisen mielipiteen mittaamisen infrastruktuuriin (The Finnish Research Infrastructure for Public Opinion, FIRIPO). Aluksi vastaajilta tiedusteltiin heidän kiinnostustaan politiikkaan sekä luottamustaan eri tahoihin, kuten hallitukseen ja tiedotusvälineisiin. Tämän jälkeen kartoitettiin vastaajien kokemuksia suomalaisuudesta ja omasta etnisestä identiteetistä. Seuraavaksi vastaajilta kysyttiin heidän äänestämisaikeistaan vuoden 2023 eduskuntavaaleissa. Lisäksi tiedusteltiin, missä määrin eri seikat ja ominaisuudet vaikuttavat puolue- ja ehdokasvalintaan tai vaaleissa äänestämättä jättämiseen. Vastaajien tuli myös valita, mitkä puolueet kykenevät parhaiten edistämään etnisten vähemmistöryhmien asemaa Suomessa. Tämän jälkeen vastaajien tuli arvioida erilaisia ehdotuksia koskien Suomen tulevaisuuden suuntaa. Ehdotukset liittyivät esimerkiksi tasa-arvon edistämiseen, maahanmuuton kasvuun, verotuksen suuntaan, julkisen sektorin kokoon ja ilmastonmuutoksen torjuntaan. Lopuksi vastaajilta tiedusteltiin, ovatko he kokeneet syrjintää viimeisen viiden vuoden aikana. Taustamuuttujina ovat muun muassa vastaajan ikä, sukupuoli, maakunta, vaalialue, kuntaluokitus, koulutustaso, ammattiryhmä, puoluekanta ja tieto maanosasta, jossa vanhemmat ovat syntyneet."

"en": "The data comprise researchers' field journals and transcripts of interviews conducted in a multicultural photography workshop organised for young people by a research project entitled \"Young People in the Limelight. Towards Agency through Multi-literacies\" funded by the Kone foundation. The workshop was organised in a youth café in a town in Southern Finland. The interviewees were young participants of the workshop. Themes of the interviews included, among others, social media, multiculturalism, influence in decision making, making one's voice heard, and publicity. In addition, the interviewees were asked, for example, their reasons for visiting the youth café and participating in the research project. The field journals were written by two researchers and cover the duration of the workshop. The data also include field notes written by a third researcher covering one meeting. This dataset is only available in Finnish.",
"fi": "Aineisto koostuu Nuoret estradille -tutkimushankeen järjestämässä nuorten monikulttuurisessa valokuvaustyöpajassa kerättyjen haastattelujen litteraatioista sekä hankkeen tutkijoiden tuottamista havaintopäiväkirjoista. Työpaja toteutettiin eteläsuomalaisen kaupungin kahvilamaisessa nuorisotilassa. Haastateltavat henkilöt ovat työpajaan osallistuneita nuoria. Haastattelujen teemoja olivat mm. sosiaalinen media, monikulttuurisuus, vaikuttaminen, oman äänen kuuluvuus ja julkisuus. Yksittäisissä kysymyksissä kysyttiin nuoren taustatietojen lisäksi mm. sitä, miksi nuori käy kyseisessä nuorisokahvilassa ja miksi nuori lähti mukaan tutkimusprojektiin. Lisäksi kysyttiin esimerkiksi sitä, saako nuori mielestään halutessaan oman äänensä kuuluviin ja onko omaa ääntä joskus yritetty vaimentaa. Nuorilta kysyttiin myös kokeeko hän kuuluvansa osaksi suomalaista yhteiskuntaa, ja onko monikulttuurinen tausta rikkaus vai heikkous. Haastateltavilta kysyttiin myös sosiaalisen median käytöstä ja suhteesta julkisuuteen. Aineiston sisältämät havaintopäiväkirjat kattavat kahden tutkijan merkinnät koko valokuvaustyöpajan ajalta. Lisäksi mukana on kolmannen tutkijan havaintopäiväkirja yhdeltä tapaamiskerralta. Havaintopäiväkirjat on tehty muistiinpanojen pohjalta. Haastateltavien taustatietoina on mainittu mm. sukupuoli ja ikä."

"en": "This dataset contains interviews in Finnish with students and staff at the University of Tampere and Tampere University of Applied Sciences who had participated in curriculum development work. The interviewees were asked to describe progress made in curriculum development and discussions concerning the curriculum. They were asked what types of obstacles, challenges and, on the other hand, successes the curriculum and curriculum development had faced. Other interview themes included evaluation of learning as well as giving and receiving feedback. The interviewees were asked to indicate how the curriculum should be improved in the future. Finally, the interviewees discussed the curriculum culture in their faculty as well as the significance of the curriculum in regard to the development of the field, students' worklife competences, and teaching work in practice. Background information included the interviewee's gender, occupation, field and institution. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD. The dataset is only available in Finnish.",
"fi": "Aineistossa on haastateltu Tampereen yliopistosta ja Tampereen Ammattikorkeakoulusta opetussuunnitelmatyöhön osallistuneita opiskelijoita ja henkilökunnan jäseniä vuonna 2009 sekä Tampereen yliopiston henkilökunnan jäseniä vuonna 2012. Haastateltavia pyydettiin muun muassa kuvailemaan, miten opetussuunnitelmaprosessi etenee ja ketkä siihen osallistuvat. Haastateltavat kuvailivat opetussuunnitelmaa koskevia pohdintoja ja keskustelunaiheita. Heiltä kysyttiin myös sitä, millaisia esteitä, solmukohtia ja toisaalta onnistumisia opetussuunnitelmaan ja sen tekemiseen liittyy. Muita haastatteluteemoja olivat oppimisen arviointi sekä palautteen antaminen ja kerääminen. Haastateltavia pyydettiin kertomaan, miten heidän mielestään opetussuunnitelmaa tulisi tulevaisuudessa uudistaa. Lopuksi haastateltavat pohtivat opetussuunnitelman merkitystä esimerkiksi tieteenalan kehittymisen, opiskelijan työelämävalmiuksien ja käytännön opetuksen kannalta sekä kuvailivat laitoksensa/yksikkönsä opetussuunnitelmakulttuuria. Haastateltavien taustatietoja ovat haastateltavan sukupuoli, ammatti, ala ja oppilaitos. Aineistosta on tehty html-versio, jonka hakemiston avulla haastatteluja on helppo selata."

"en": "The Residents' Barometer 2016 is a Finnish survey study examining perceptions of the quality of local environments and housing in urban settlements that house more than 10,000 residents. The study surveyed the functionality of the residential areas and the residents' housing satisfaction. The study also examined preferences, wishes and criteria that affected the housing choices of residents of urban settlements in Finland. The respondents were first asked about the number of people in the household, how long they had lived in their current residential area, the household's gross income, the size of the apartment, and the housing type by tenure. The survey also contained questions about nights spent in other locations (e.g. due to work or holidays) and satisfaction in the local environment and its services, such as healthcare, schooling, and public transportation. Satisfaction in the atmosphere of the local environments was further charted with questions about bicycling opportunities, traffic safety, parks, and local stores. The survey also explored the residents' wishes for different types of services in their residential areas, such as libraries, sports venues and other exercise opportunities, and pubs. Questions regarding the residents' employment and their commute were also asked. The respondents were asked to evaluate the most important factors that caused satisfaction and dissatisfaction in the residential area. Finally, the survey examined the respondents opinions on the type of house and residential area that they would like to move to, and the factors that they deemed important when choosing a residential area. The background variables included the language spoken at home, age, gender, household composition, region, dwelling density, and the size of the urban settlement.",

Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin kaupunkimaisten asuinalueiden toimivuutta, asumisviihtyvyyttä sekä asumistyytyväisyyttä. Lisäksi tutkimuksessa oli kiinnostuttu taajamissa asuvien asumispreferensseistä, asumistoiveista ja kriteereistä, jotka vaikuttavat asumisvalintojen taustalla. Aluksi tutkimuksessa tiedusteltiin kotitalouden henkilömäärää, tuloja, pinta-alaa sekä asuintalon tyyppiä. Lisäksi kysyttiin kodin ulkopuolella yöpymisen määrästä sekä tyytyväisyydestä erinäisiin tekijöihin asuinympäristössä, kuten peruskoulu- ja joukkoliikennepalveluihin. Edelleen tiedusteltiin asuinympäristön miellyttävyyttä kysymällä mm. pyöräilymahdollisuuksista, liikenneturvallisuudesta ja lähikaupoista. Kyselyssä selvitettiin myös minkälaisia palveluja ja liikuntapalveluja asukkaat mahdollisesti haluaisivat asuinalueelleen. Tutkimuksessa oltiin kiinnostuneita myös työmatkan pituudesta ja kestosta. Lisäksi vastaajia pyydettiin valitsemaan asuinalueen tärkeimmät viihtyvyys- ja epäviihtyvyystekijät. Lopuksi kysyttiin minkälaiseen taloon ja asuinalueelle vastaajat haluaisivat muuttaa ja mitä asioita vastaajat pitäisivät tärkeinä asuinalueen valinnassa. Taustamuuttujina ovat mm. kieli, ikä, sukupuoli, perhetyyppi, maakunta, asumisväljyys ja taajaman kokoluokitus."

"en": "The main theme of this study was political orientation. The data were gathered as part of SUUNTA, a research project carried out by students within the degree programme in politics at the University of Tampere. The study charted political behaviour and attitudes among students of Tampere University of Applied Sciences. Firstly, the presence of political matters in the respondents' daily lives and their interest in politics on a general level were charted. The participants were asked about societal matters and how often they were discussed at home, at school, with friends, with family, and in social media. The respondents' experiences of working life, unions and their socio-economic class were also surveyed. The remainder of the survey, however, focused more on the political views of the respondents. The students were asked to place themselves on the left-right political spectrum and to state their possible party preferences. The respondents' opinions on a variety of political statements were also examined. The statements concerned, among other things, the following subjects: free higher education, taxation, same-sex marriages, multiculturalism, healthcare, abortion, and the environment. The respondents were asked to evaluate their knowledge about societal matters and their involvement in society and politics, e.g. by participating in demonstrations or contacting political decision-makers. The participants also evaluated how their parents, partners, friends, schools and workplaces have affected their political stances. Moreover, the survey examined the respondents' trust in political institutions and other people. Finally, the study surveyed the students' satisfaction in Finland's economic and democratic situation. Background variables included faculty, educational background, work experience, age, gender, type of housing, type of neighbourhood, marital status, and religious affiliation.",
"fi": "Tutkimuksen pääteemana oli poliittinen orientaatio. Aineisto kerättiin osana Tampereen yliopiston politiikan tutkimuksen opiskelijoiden SUUNTA-tutkimusprojektia. Tutkimus kartoitti Tampereen ammattikorkeakoululaisten poliittista käyttäytymistä sekä poliittisia asenteita ja arvoja. Aluksi opiskelijoilta tiedusteltiin miten poliittiset asiat ovat läsnä erilaisissa arjen ympäristöissä (esim. perhe, koulu, harrastukset). Edelleen kysyttiin vastaajan vanhempien poliittista suuntautumista. Lisäksi tiedusteltiin mieluista työalaa sekä yleisesti suhtautumista työelämään ja mm. ammattiliittoon. Yleisesti kyselyssä painotettiin kuitenkin kysymyksiä poliittisista näkemyksistä, joita kysyttiin mm. pyytämällä vastaajia sijoittamaan itsensä vasemmisto-oikeisto-akselille sekä tiedustelemalla puoluekantaa. Vastaajilta kysyttiin myös mielipiteitä erilaisiin poliittisiin väittämiin (esim. 'Veroprosentin tulisi olla kaikissa tuloluokissa sama'). Lisäksi vastaajia pyydettiin arvioimaan omaa yhteiskunnallista osallistumistaan ja tietämystään. Luottamusta erilaisiin poliittisiin instituutioihin ja muihin ihmisiin pyydettiin arvioimaan asteikolla. Lopuksi tiedusteltiin vastaajien tyytyväisyyttä Suomen taloudelliseen ja demokraattiseen tilanteeseen. Taustamuuttujina olivat koulutusyksikkö, koulutus, työkokemus, ikä, sukupuoli, paikkakuntatyyppi, asumismuoto, siviilisääty ja uskontokunta."

"en": "The survey studied Finnish public opinion on the role and services of the police, feelings about safety and security, fear of crime, experiences of crime, and trust in the national institutions in crime prevention. First, the respondents were asked how important certain bodies (e.g. the Church, the Customs, schools, the Defence Forces) were to crime prevention and to improving the safety of their neighbourhood. Opinions on the extent to which the police force can prevent civil disorder and maintain safety were charted as well as whether the respondents had experiences of international crime. The respondents were asked how important certain things were in terms of maintaining public order and safety by the police, for instance, that the employment situation would improve, people suffering from substance abuse would receive treatment, prostitution would be prohibited and that the police would adopt zero-tolerance towards law-breaking. Views were probed on which tasks of the police were important. One theme examined the ways and means of improving road safety. Sense of security and fear of crime were studied by asking how worried the respondents were about certain things (e.g. assaults, housebreaking, drink driving, sexual harassment, Internet data security). Some questions focused on how safe the respondents felt at home during the day, in the city centre after dark, in their neighbourhood late at night, etc. The respondents were asked whether they themselves had become victims of certain crimes, whether they had notified the police, and if not, why. Further questions surveyed whether the respondents had been eyewitnesses to any crimes (e.g. burglaries or car theft) or witnesses/complainants in a criminal procedure, and whether they had experienced a threat or pressure from somebody subjected to a criminal procedure. In addition, measures taken by the respondents to reduce the risk of crime (e.g. using a security alarm system or avoiding the city centre after dark) were charted. Opinions on the accessibility and visibility of the police were examined by asking what the distance was from the respondent's home to the nearest police station, how long they thought it would take for the police to respond to an emergency, and whether the respondents had used the online services of the police. The quality of police services were assessed with questions about the last time the respondents had contacted the police, reasons for doing so, and how they had been treated. The respondents also rated how well the police had succeeded in solving crimes, preventing crime, providing help quickly, etc. Opinions on the attitude of the police towards people from different ethnic backgrounds were studied. The survey also charted opinions on the development of the services provided by the police as well as trust in various institutions, such as the police, emergency and protective services, private security guards, the Border Guard, courts, the Customs, and the Defence Forces. Opinions on the likelihood of police corruption were surveyed. In conclusion, the respondents were asked how long they had lived in their municipality of residence, how often they travelled abroad, and what means of transport they used in the population centre of their municipality and other municipalities in the evening or at night. Background variables included, for instance, the respondent's gender, age group, economic activity and occupational status, level of education, mother tongue, Internet use, household composition, number of children living in the household, gross annual household income, type of neighbourhood, and municipality and region (NUTS2 and NUTS3) of residence.",

"en": "The Language Barometer has measured the quality of language services in bilingual Finnish municipalities since 2004. All 33 bilingual municipalities in Finland were included in the study. The aim of the study was to find out how satisfied minority language speakers in bilingual municipalities were with the services offered in their mother tongue. The study first examined whether the respondents' children went to a Swedish- or Finnish-language daycare or school. It was also surveyed whether the respondents had used Swedish, Finnish or both in different types of contexts, e.g. at home, at school, with friends, at the store, with municipal and state authorities, and at work. The respondents' familiarity with their linguistic rights was charted, along with how important these rights were for them. They were also asked to evaluate the attitudes towards minority language speakers in the municipality and change in this relationship within the previous year. The study also surveyed harassment or discrimination faced by the respondents because of their language. The study also examined the functionality of municipal and state services on the web in the respondents' mother tongue. The respondents were asked to evaluate some municipal services (such as social and healthcare services, libraries, sports facilities) from the perspective of minority language users. It was asked if the service had developed for the better or for the worse in the previous year, and if special measures should be taken to preserve Swedish-language service in the future. Finally, the respondents' reactions in the case that they did not receive service in their own language were surveyed, and they were asked to evaluate the minority language service of chosen state authorities and service providers (e.g. the police, emergency services, airports, courts, post offices). Background variables included the respondent's age (categorised), mother tongue and level of education.",
"fi": "Kielibarometri otettiin käyttöön vuonna 2004 ja siitä lähtien kyselytutkimuksella on seurattu kielipalveluiden toteutumista kaksikielisissä kunnissa. Tutkimus kattaa kaikki Suomen 33 kaksikielistä kuntaa. Kielibarometrin tulokset kuvastavat sitä, miten paikalliseen kielivähemmistöön kuuluvat kuntalaiset kokevat kotikuntansa kielipalveluiden toteutuvan. Aluksi kyselyssä tiedusteltiin minkä kielistä päiväkotia tai koulua vastaajien lapset käyvät. Edelleen tiedusteltiin vastaajien ruotsin ja suomen käyttöä erilaisissa ympäristöissä ja yhteyksissä (koulussa, työpaikalla, ostoksilla jne.). Kyselyssä selvitettiin myös vastaajien tuntemusta kielellisistä oikeuksista ja palveluista. Lisäksi heitä pyydettiin arvioimaan kunnan kieli-ilmapiiriä ja kielisuhteiden muutosta: vastaajilta mm. kysyttiin, olivatko he joutuneet häirinnän kohteeksi kielensä takia. Kyselyssä selvitettiin myös omalla äidinkielellä saatavien kunnallisten palveluiden ja viranomaisten nettipalveluiden toimivuutta. Eriteltyjä kunnallisia palveluita (kuten sairaalahoito, kirjasto, liikuntapaikat) pyydettiin arvioimaan kouluarvosanoilla. Edelleen kysyttiin kunnallisten palveluiden kehittymisestä ja palveluita turvaavien toimenpiteiden tarpeellisuudesta. Lopuksi vastaajia pyydettiin vielä arvioimaan kouluarvosanalla valtiollisten viranomaispalveluiden (esim. Posti, VR, Kela) saatavuutta vastaajan omalla äidinkielellä. Taustamuuttujina oli ikä (luokiteltu), äidinkieli ja koulutusaste."

"en": "Porcelain stoneware tiles incorporating spodumene tailings from lithium processing were developed and evaluated to assess their application-oriented performance. Building on a previously optimized formulation, this study investigated the effects of the SiO₂/Al₂O₃ ratio, forming pressure, and forming water content on densification, microstructure, and functional performance. The resulting ceramic bodies were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP), and application-oriented performance tests, including water absorption, flexural strength, slip resistance, deep abrasion resistance, and frost resistance. The optimized formulations exhibited water absorption below 0.5%, satisfactory flexural strength, slip resistance, and frost resistance, indicating suitability for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications. Combined SEM and MIP analyses indicated that pore accessibility and connectivity, rather than total porosity alone, were closely associated with the observed performance. Deep abrasion resistance was the only property that remained slightly below the standard requirement, suggesting that minor compositional or processing adjustments may further improve wear resistance. Overall, the study demonstrates the potential of spodumene tailings as a secondary raw material for porcelain stoneware tile production and provides practical insights to further optimize of their performance."
