"en": "The SynthSOD dataset contains more than 47 hours of multitrack music obtained by synthesizing orchestra and ensemble pieces from the Symbolic Orchestral Database (SOD) using Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra Professional Library. To synthesize the MIDI files from the SOD, we needed to fix the original files into the General MIDI standard, select a subsect of files that fitted into our requirements (e.g., containing only instruments that we could synthesize), and develop a new system to generate musically-motivated random annotations about tempo, dynamic, and articulation. The code to replicate this process is available in our repository and all the details can be read in our paper: https://doi.org/10.48550/arXiv.2409.10995\r\n We have also published the code to train and evaluate the baseline and the pre-trained models in a GitHub repository: https://github.com/repertorium/SynthSOD-Baseline"

"en": "This pipeline aims to create personalized solutions to the EEG/MEG forward problem including anatomical information from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and somatosensory evoked potentials/fields. T1-/T2-weighted MRI images are used to create a head model that includes 6 compartments (gray and white matter, cerebrospinal fluid, skull compacta and spongiosa, scalp). For each compartment we assign a conductivity value based on literature. Diffusion tensor imaging can be used to calculate anisotropic white matter tensors. Based on the segmentation, we create a mesh and a 2 mm source space grid using Simbio/Vgrid (the necessary files are included). From here, solutions to the EEG and MEG forward problem are calculated in DUNEuro. We then use fieldtrip to preprocess an SEP/SEF data set and calibrate the skull conductivity. For this calibration, see dois: 10.1016/j.neuroimage.2020.117353 and 10.1088/1361-6560/abc5aa for a more detailed description of the head model creation and the calibration procedure. The entire process can be done in about 1 day with less than an hour active work per subject. You will need at least 30-35 GB RAM. Intermediate results are saved in a temp_res folder. The pipeline is modular and can be run one step at a time. Resulting files include: final segmentation results (temp_res/MRI/*_mask_final.nii) wm_tensors for the mesh (temp_res/mesh/wm_tensors.mat SEP/SEF averages forward_results/*EG_avg.mat) sensors in voxel coordinates plus transformation to ctf space (forward_results/sensors.mat) calibration results (temp_res/calibration/calibration_results.mat) final EEG/MEG lead field (forward_results/LF_*EG.mat + LF_EEG_uncalib.mat) volume conductor information including mesh and source space (forward_results/volume_conductor.mat) From here you can export the lead field and volume conductor to other software packages to solve the inverse problem (interfaces are not provided in the pipeline). All coordinates (sensors, mesh and source space) are in mm and in voxel space. Apply the transformation to ctf space (the 4x4 matrix in sensors.mat) to switch from voxels to ctf. Also apply the transformation to the lead field. "en": "Closely spaced promoters are ubiquitous in prokaryotic and eukaryotic genomes. How their structure and dynamics relate remains unclear, particularly for tandem formations. To study their transcriptional interference, we engineered two pairs and one trio of synthetic promoters in nonoverlapping, tandem formation, in single-copy plasmids transformed into Escherichia coli cells. From in vivo measurements, we found that these promoters in tandem formation can have attenuated transcription rates. The attenuation strength can be widely fine-tuned by the promoters’ positioning, natural regulatory mechanisms, and other factors, including the antibiotic rifampicin, which is known to hamper RNAP promoter escape. From this, and supported by in silico models, we concluded that the attenuation in these constructs emerges from premature terminations generated by collisions between RNAPs elongating from upstream promoters and RNAPs occupying downstream promoters. Moreover, we found that these collisions can cause one or both RNAPs to falloff. Finally, the broad spectrum of possible, externally regulated, attenuation strengths observed in our synthetic tandem promoters suggests that they could become useful as externally controllable regulators of future synthetic circuits."

"en": "This study collected data on the performance of shallow steel-timber composite floor structure, Nordic system. Specially focusing on the integration of cross-laminated timber (CLT) slabs and the used asymmetric welded box beams (WQ-beams) to investigate the effect of the composite action. To explore the Nordic system's potential in enhancing structural efficiency, six full-scale tests assessed bending and vibration performance, and a number of Push-out tests the connection properties. Data collection on bending tests involved measuring jack forces, deflections, strains, and slip between members, and for vibration tests deflection and acceleration during dynamic loading. Push-out tests evaluated the shear performance of wood screws by measuring defection and jack forces. The tests were meticulously conducted by a same skilled team at Tampere University, utilising. The resulting dataset, presented in Excel format with illustrative graphs and pictures, offers valuable insights for construction firms, product developers, and researchers. It serves as a comprehensive reference for validating finite element models and developing advanced design standards for shallow steel-timber composite structures.\r\nSeries information\r\n\r\nDatasets are deviated into three main categories: \r\n\r\n Full-scale\r\n Push-out\r\n Vibration\r\n\r\nEach file includes test-specific Excel documents, graphs, and photographs that document specimen behaviour before, during, and after testing. These Excel documents contain both raw and organised data from individual tests, such as bending, or groups of tests, including vibration and push-out. For vibration and push-out tests, graphs are incorporated within the Excel files. Due to the extensive data from full-scale tests, this information is processed into a visual format using Python code. In every instance, the raw data is directly sourced from the recording device and subsequently converted into a more comprehensive format for analysis.\r\n\r\nSpecifics dimensions of the test specimens are shown in Appendix A, showcasing all assembly drawings utilised for ordering and constructing the test specimens."

"en": "The second release of the scripts used in the numerical evaluation of the Local Subtraction Approach for EEG and MEG forward modeling. This approach is introduced and investigated in the accompanying paper (Preprint available at: https://arxiv.org/abs/2302.12785) In the second release, we added scripts for the evaluation of the local subtraction approach in realistic head models. Furthermore, we updated the parameters for the evaluation of the local subtraction approach in multilayer sphere models. Additionally, we renamed the approach from \"Localized Subtraction\" to \"Local Subtraction\". This repository contains only the code to reproduce the results from the paper mentioned above. The data is available at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.12575552."

"en": "DESCRIPTION BinMov2023: Binaural Dataset for Source Position Estimation with Head Rotation and Moving Listeners is a binaural dataset containing synthetic data of single source speech signals reverberated with simulated room impulse responses. The data allows for experiments related to audio tasks of sound source localization and sound distance estimation. The dataset consists of three subsets, related to three different scenarios: - static: a static sound source and a static listener - rotation: a static sound source and a static listener with a head rotating in the azimuth plane - walking: a static sound source and a listener moving in space Each sound file contains a unique combination of a simulated room and source and receiver positions. The walking scenario contains simulations of 2500 different rooms, whereas the static and rotation scenarios contain 5000 rooms. REPORT AND REFERENCE A detailed description of the dataset and the data generation process can be found in: D. A. Krause, G. García-Barrios, A. Politis and A. METADATA Each sound file has a separate metadata file assigned. The information in the metadata comes per frame in the following format: [nb_frame (int)], [x (float)], [y (float)], [z (float)], [a (float)], [b (float)], [c (float)], [d (float)] Where nb_frame is the number of frame, {x, y, z} are the unnormalized Cartesian coordinates of the sound source and {a, b, c, d} are the quaternion values related to the rotation of the listener's head. LICENSE The database is published under a custom **open non-commercial with attribution** license. It can be found in the `LICENSE.txt` file that accompanies the data."

"en": "This dataset includes measured data from the field measurement of four timber-framed exterior wall constructions. All the walls were equipped with gypsum board wind barrier having a minimal thermal resistance. Insulation thicknesses of 150 mm and 300 mm, demonstrating a moderate and a very effective levels of thermal insulation, were compared. Wooden cladding and brick veneer were compared as façade materials. Measurements were done in a test building of Tampere University, Tampere, Finland. The coordinates of the campus are 61°27' N, 23°52’ E. Ground height at test building site is approximately 135 m above sea level. The site is rather protected area, with the modest wind and driving rain load. The test was performed between 13 September 2020 and 30 November 2021."

The second archive contains the realistic volume conductor model we used for comparing the analytical and local subtraction approaches. Details on the creation and interpretation of the data are given in README files contained in the dataset."
