In this study, we investigated whether watching a 5‐min audiovisual video that describes a first‐person perspective walk on a forest path could help to restore one's mental state after cognitive stress. Participants were asked to perform cognitive stressor tasks, after which they were shown either a nature walk video or a control video. Subjective restoration was measured using self‐reports before and after the videos, while electrodermal activity (EDA) and electroencephalography (EEG) were measured during the video‐watching session. The results showed that experiencing the nature walk video enhanced subjective restoration more than watching the control video. Arousal of the autonomic nervous system, measured using EDA, decreased more during the nature walk video than during the control video. Additionally, activity in the EEG's upper theta band (6–8 Hz) and lower alpha band (8–10 Hz) increased during the nature walk video, suggesting that it induced a relaxed state of mind. Interestingly, the participants' connection with nature moderated the effects of the nature video. The subjective and physiological measures both suggest that watching a short, simulated nature walk may be beneficial in relaxing the mind and restoring one's mental state after cognitive stress.</jats:p>",

Kokonaisuuteen kuuluu viisi tiedostoa:\n\n 2024_AVOTT-seuranta_Laskennan_datasheet.xlsx\n 2024_AVOTT-seuranta_lopullinen_tulos.xlsx\n 2024_AVOTT-seuranta_lopulliset_indikaattorit.xlsx\n 2024_AVOTT-seuranta_lopulliset_indikaattorit_EN.xlsx\n 2024_AVOTT-seuranta_lopulliset_indikaattorit_SE.xlsx\n\n\nTiedosto 2024_AVOTT-seuranta_lopulliset_indikaattorit.xlsx sisältää seurannassa käytetyt kysymykset ja niiden pisteyksen. Nämä indikaattorit hyväksyttiin Avoimen tieteen ja tutkimuksen ohjausryhmän kokouksessa 29.5.2023. Tiedostossa 2024_AVOTT-seuranta_Laskennan_datasheet.xlsx indikaattorit on muokattu laskentaohjelmassa käytettyyn muotoon. Tämä tiedosto sisältää analyysissa käytetyt laskentakaavat.\n\nTiedosto 2024_AVOTT-seuranta_lopullinen_tulos.xlsx sisältää seurantaan osallistuneiden tutkimusorganisaatioiden\n\n vastausten perusteella saamat pisteet\n pistesummat ja saavutetut avoimuuden asteet osa-alueittain: toimintakulttuuri, julkaiseminen, tutkimusaineistot, oppiminen\n avoimuuden asteiden perusteella lasketun avoimuuden tason.\n\nSeurannan kyselyn vastausaika oli 6.5.–14.6.2024. Julkaisuista käytettiin vuoden 2023 ja avoimista oppimateriaaleista kumulatiivista tietoa 31.5.2024 asti.\n\nSeurannan toteutus perustuu Avoimen tieteen ja tutkimuksen seurantamalliin, joka on linkitetty tähän tietueeseen.\n\nTieteellisten seurain valtuuskunta sai tukea julkaisujen ja avointen oppimateriaalien datan haussa ja käsittelyssä CSC-Tieteen tietotekniikan keskus Oy:ltä. Lisäksi seurannan tulokset on julkaistu CSC:n ylläpitämässä Tiedejatutkimus.fi-portaalissa."

Local alleles at quantitative trait loci (QTL) at a North Carolina field site increased reproductive output while reducing vegetative growth. These QTL had little overlap with flowering date QTL. Structural equation models incorporating QTL genotypes and traits indicated that resource allocation differences result primarily from QTL effects on early vegetative growth patterns, with cascading effects on later vegetative and reproductive development. At a Norway field site, North Carolina alleles at some of the same QTL regions reduced survival and reproductive output components, but these effects were not associated with resource allocation trade-offs in the Norway environment. "en": "This dataset contains soft X-ray emission maps generated from the outputs of a 3D run of the Vlasiator near-Earth space model (Palmroth et al., 2018, https://doi.org/10.1007/s41115-018-0003-2) with southward interplanetary magnetic field driving. These data correspond to the results presented in Grandin et al. (2024, https://doi.org/10.26464/epp2023052) where details on the simulation setup and soft X-ray emission calculation can be found. The frame of reference for the data is Geocentric Solar Ecliptic (GSE).\nThe dataset includes three types of data saved as NumPy array binary files:\n(i) 1D NumPy arrays giving the ranges of azimuth and elevation angles associated with the soft X-ray image pixels;\n(ii) 2D NumPy arrays containing the line-of-sight-integrated soft X-ray images in the GSE XY plane, that is, obtained considering a virtual imager placed above the North Pole of the Earth at (0, 0, 30 Re), with Re = 6371 km the Earth radius, and looking towards the equatorial plane;\n(iii) 2D NumPy arrays containing the line-of-sight-integrated soft X-ray images in the GSE XZ plane, that is, obtained considering a virtual imager placed on the dawn side of the Earth at (0, –30 Re, 0) and looking towards the noon–midnight meridional plane.\nThe soft X-ray maps are given at a 1 s time resolution for simulation time stamps from 800 s to 1506 s. The corresponding images have an angular resolution of 1/3° in azimuth and elevation."

Aineistoa on jatkokäsitelty Suomen ympäristökeskuksessa. Kompostointi-, biokaasu- ja jätepolttoaineen valmistuslaitokset ovat ympäristölupavelvollisia toimijoita, ja ne raportoivat jätetietoja YLVAan. Laitokset vastaanottavat biohajoavaa jätettä yrityksiltä, mutta myös niiltä toimijoilta, joiden jätemääriä ei ole mukana Biomassa-atlaksen yritysten jätemäärissä (esimerkiksi kotitalouksien, kauppojen, sairaaloiden, koulujen jne. jätteet). Jätteenkäsittelystä lähtevät jätemäärät ovat osittain päällekkäisiä yritysten biohajoavien jätemäärien kanssa. Tästä syystä em. jätemääriä ei pidä tarkastella kartalla yhtä aikaa, summaten. Kompostointi-, biokaasu- ja jätepolttoaineen valmistuslaitoksien biohajoava jätemäärätieto antaa kuitenkin lisäinformaatiota, kun tavoitteena on biohajoavien jätevirtojen ohjaaminen entistä enemmän materiahyödyntämiseen. Lisäksi em. jätteenkäsittelyn jälkeinen jäte on ominaisuuksiltaan erilaista kuin yrityksiltä jätteenkäsittelyyn lähtenyt jätemäärä. Esimerkiksi yrityksiltä jätteenkäsittelyyn toimitettu biojäte muuttuu kompostoivassa jätteenkäsittelyprosessissa kompostituotteeksi.\n\nBiomassa-atlaksen jätteenkäsittelylaitosten biohajoava jätemäärätieto (t/v) on ilmoitettu jäteasetuksen (Vna jätteistä 179/2012, liite 4) mukaisten jäteluokkien mukaan. Lisäksi lietteille on käytössä kirjaintarkenne A-G, joka ilmaisee lietteen käsittelytavan. Biomassa-atlaksessa jätetiedot on edelleen luokiteltu viiteen pääluokkaan edellä mainittujen EWC-jäteluokkakoodien perusteella:\n1) eläin- ja kasvijäte,\n2) liete,\n3) paperi- ja pahvijäte,\n4) puujäte ja\n5) sekajäte.\nPääluokkien lisäksi jätemäärätiedot jakautuvat vielä tarkemmin 62 alaluokkaan. Jäteluokitus on esitetty Biomassa-atlaksen verkkosivulla.\n\nTiedot päivitetään Biomassa-atlakseen kerran vuodessa. Viimeisin päivitys koskee vuotta 2020. Jätemäärätiedoista ei käy ilmi yksittäisen jätteentuottajan nimeä."

"fi": "## Tiivistelmä\n8\\. VMI:n n. 3000 pysyvällä koealalla inventoitiin kasvillisuus, puusto ja kasvupaikkatunnukset 1. kerran vuosina 1985-1986 ja 2. kerran vuonna 1995. Lisäksi vuonna 1990 inventoitiin puusto ja kasvupaikkatunnukset.\n\n## Menetelmäkuvaus\nValtakunnan metsien 8. inventoinnin yhteydessä vuosina 1985-1986 perustettiin metsäluonnon ja ympäristön tilan seurantaa varten noin 3000 pysyvää koealaa. Koealat on sijoitettu koko maan kattavaan inventointilohkojen verkostoon. Lohkojen etäisyydet toisistaan ovat Etelä-Suomessa sekä etelä-pohjoissuunnassa että itä-länsisuunnassa 16 km. Pohjois-Suomessa etäisyydet ovat etelä-pohjoissuunnassa 24 km ja itä-länsisuunnassa 32 km. Kullakin lohkolla on etelä-pohjoissuuntainen koealaryväs, joka käsittää Etelä-Suomessa 4 koealaa 400 metrin välein ja Pohjois-Suomessa 3 koealaa 600 metrin välein. \n\nValtakunnan metsien inventointien tiedonkeruu ja pinta-alojen arviointi perustuu kunkin metsätalouden maalle sijoittuvan koealan jakamiseen metsikkökuvioihin. Kuviointi muodostetaan kasvupaikan ja puuston ominaisuuksien perusteella. Metsikkökuvio on kasvupaikkatekijöiden ja puuston sekä metsässä tehtyjen ja tarvittavien hakkuu- ja hoitotoimien suhteen homogeeninen metsäalue.\n\nInventoinnissa käytetty kolmen aarin suuruinen pysyvä ympyräkoeala (säde 9,77 m) voi jakaantua useampaan VMI-kuvioon. Esimerkiksi jos osa koealasta kuuluu eri maaluokkaan, kasvupaikkatyyppiin tai koeala sattuu suon ja kankaan rajaan tai puuston kehitysluokkarajaan, se jaetaan metsikkökuvioiden mukaan kuvioihin. Biologit tarkensivat tarvittaessa inventoinnin ryhmänjohtajien arvioimaa em. koealakuviointia erottamalla tyyppikuviot koealasta tehtyyn peitepiirrokseen. \n\nTyyppikuviot rajattiin kasvupaikkatyypin perusteella. Niiden avulla erotettiin pienialaiset toista tyyppiä edustavat kuviot, soistuneet painanteet jne. Pienimmän erotettavan tyyppikuvion tuli olla vähintään 5 % (15 m2) kolmen aarin täyskoealan pinta-alasta. Inventoinnissa kenttä- ja pohjakerroslajien peittävyydet arvioitiin neljältä (joissakin tapauksissa kuudelta) kolmen aarin koealalle systemaattisesti sijoitetulta 2 m2 suuruiselta näyteruudulta. Kunkin kasvilajin runsautta arvioitiin projektiopeittävyytenä, eli ilmaversojen ja sekovarsien kattamana prosenttipeittävyytenä näyteruudulla (0,1; 0,2; 0,5; 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10…5 %-yksikön välein…90, 93, 95, 97, 98, 99 %, so. asteikkoa on tihennetty ala- ja yläpäästä). \n\nInventointiryhmien biologit saivat pysyvillä koealoilla suoritettaviin maastotöihin yhtenäisen koulutuksen. Maastokauden aikana eri inventointiryhmät kävivät aika ajoin tekemässä toistensa jo mittaamat koealat uudestaan, jolloin oli mahdollisuus keskusteluin tarkistaa ja korjata mahdollisesti havaittuja puutteita ja virheitä (kasvilajisto, peittävyyden arviointi, kasvupaikkaluokitus). Koealoilta on inventoitu runsaasti puusto- ja kasvupaikkatunnuksia. Osalta koealoja on otettu myös maaperänäytteitä."

Aineisto perustuu ympäristöhallinnon YLVA-tietojärjestelmään (ent. VAHTI)) kirjattuihin asiakaskohtaisiin jätetietoihin, joita on jatkokäsitelty Suomen ympäristökeskuksessa. Tiedot koskevat vuotta 2018. Jätemäärät (t/v) on ilmoitettu kansallisen jäteluokituksen mukaisiin kuusinumeroisiin EWC/LoW- jäteluokkiin. Luokitus perustuu valtioneuvoston asetukseen jätteistä (179/2012, liite 4). EWC/LoW-jäteluokkakoodi (EWC=European waste catalogue, LoW = List of Wastes) on muotoa xx.yy.zz, jossa neljä ensimmäistä numeroa kuvaavat jätteen alkuperätoimintaa ja sen alatoimialoja ja kaksi viimeistä numeroa jätteen laatua. Kansallisessa jäteluokituksessa on toimialaluokkia kaikkiaan 20. YLVAssa on lisäksi lietteille käytössä kirjaintarkenne A-G, joka ilmaisee lietteen käsittelytavan.\n\nYLVA-tietojärjestelmässä asiakaskohtaiset jätetiedot kirjataan kolmeen eri jätevirtaan: lähtevä ja tuleva jätevirta sekä varastotilanne. Biomassa-atlaksen yritystoiminnan jätemäärätiedot perustuvat YLVA-asiakkaiden lähtevään jätevirtaan kirjattuihin, biohajoavia jätejakeita koskeviin määrätietoihin (t/v), pois lukien jätteenkäsittelylaitoksilta lähtenyt jätevirta.\n\nYLVA-tietojärjestelmä ei mahdollista jätemäärien aukotonta tasetarkastelua, sillä se on pääasiallisesti kehitetty viranomaisten valvontatehtävää, ei tilastointia varten. Kaikkia jätteiden (esi)käsittelyketjuja koskevia määrätietoja ei tule kirjatuksi YLVAan. Koska jätteenkäsittelylaitoksetkin ovat yritystoimintaa, Biomassa-atlaksen tietojenkäsittelyprosessissa on poistettu yritysten jätemääristä jätteenkäsittelylaitoksilta lähtenyt jätevirta, jotta vältyttäisiin päällekkäiseltä yritysten jätemäärätiedolta. Aineistossa on näin ollen mukana yrityksiltä jätteenkäsittelyyn (esikäsittelyyn, hyödyntämiseen ja loppukäsittelyyn) lähteneet jätemäärät, mutta ei jätteenkäsittelylaitoksilta hyödyntämiseen/loppukäsittelyyn lähteneet jätemäärät. Käytännössä osa yritystoiminnan jätteistä kulkee jätteenkäsittelylaitosten, kuten kuljetus-, keräys- ja lajittelutoimintaa harjoittavien yritysten tai muiden esikäsittelylaitosten kautta varsinaiseen hyödyntämiseen. Osa yritysten jätteistä on YLVAssa kirjattu toimitetuksi suoraan varsinaisiin jätteen käsittely-/hyödyntämispaikkoihin ilman esikäsittelytoimintoja koskevia jätemääräkirjauksia. Myös nämä yritysten jätemäärät ovat aineistossa mukana.\n\nBiomassa-atlaksessa yritystoiminnan jätetiedot on YLVAn EWC-jäteluokkakoodien perusteella jaoteltu viiteen pääluokkaan:\n1) eläin- ja kasvijäte,\n2) liete,\n3) paperi- ja pahvijäte,\n4) puujäte ja\n5) sekajäte.\nPääluokkien lisäksi määrätiedot jakautuvat vielä tarkemmin 62 alaluokkaan. Jäteluokitus on esitetty Biomassa-atlaksen verkkosivulla."

Aineisto perustuu ympäristöhallinnon YLVA-tietojärjestelmään (ent. VAHTI)) kirjattuihin asiakaskohtaisiin jätetietoihin, joita on jatkokäsitelty Suomen ympäristökeskuksessa. Tiedot koskevat vuotta 2018. Jätemäärät (t/v) on ilmoitettu kansallisen jäteluokituksen mukaisiin kuusinumeroisiin EWC/LoW- jäteluokkiin. Luokitus perustuu valtioneuvoston asetukseen jätteistä (179/2012, liite 4). EWC/LoW-jäteluokkakoodi (EWC=European waste catalogue, LoW = List of Wastes) on muotoa xx.yy.zz, jossa neljä ensimmäistä numeroa kuvaavat jätteen alkuperätoimintaa ja sen alatoimialoja ja kaksi viimeistä numeroa jätteen laatua. Kansallisessa jäteluokituksessa on toimialaluokkia kaikkiaan 20. YLVAssa on lisäksi lietteille käytössä kirjaintarkenne A-G, joka ilmaisee lietteen käsittelytavan.\n\nYLVA-tietojärjestelmässä asiakaskohtaiset jätetiedot kirjataan kolmeen eri jätevirtaan: lähtevä ja tuleva jätevirta sekä varastotilanne. Biomassa-atlaksen yritystoiminnan jätemäärätiedot perustuvat YLVA-asiakkaiden lähtevään jätevirtaan kirjattuihin, biohajoavia jätejakeita koskeviin määrätietoihin (t/v), pois lukien jätteenkäsittelylaitoksilta lähtenyt jätevirta.\n\nYLVA-tietojärjestelmä ei mahdollista jätemäärien aukotonta tasetarkastelua, sillä se on pääasiallisesti kehitetty viranomaisten valvontatehtävää, ei tilastointia varten. Kaikkia jätteiden (esi)käsittelyketjuja koskevia määrätietoja ei tule kirjatuksi YLVAan. Koska jätteenkäsittelylaitoksetkin ovat yritystoimintaa, Biomassa-atlaksen tietojenkäsittelyprosessissa on poistettu yritysten jätemääristä jätteenkäsittelylaitoksilta lähtenyt jätevirta, jotta vältyttäisiin päällekkäiseltä yritysten jätemäärätiedolta. Aineistossa on näin ollen mukana yrityksiltä jätteenkäsittelyyn (esikäsittelyyn, hyödyntämiseen ja loppukäsittelyyn) lähteneet jätemäärät, mutta ei jätteenkäsittelylaitoksilta hyödyntämiseen/loppukäsittelyyn lähteneet jätemäärät. Käytännössä osa yritystoiminnan jätteistä kulkee jätteenkäsittelylaitosten, kuten kuljetus-, keräys- ja lajittelutoimintaa harjoittavien yritysten tai muiden esikäsittelylaitosten kautta varsinaiseen hyödyntämiseen. Osa yritysten jätteistä on YLVAssa kirjattu toimitetuksi suoraan varsinaisiin jätteen käsittely-/hyödyntämispaikkoihin ilman esikäsittelytoimintoja koskevia jätemääräkirjauksia. Myös nämä yritysten jätemäärät ovat aineistossa mukana.\n\nBiomassa-atlaksessa yritystoiminnan jätetiedot on YLVAn EWC-jäteluokkakoodien perusteella jaoteltu viiteen pääluokkaan:\n1) eläin- ja kasvijäte,\n2) liete,\n3) paperi- ja pahvijäte,\n4) puujäte ja\n5) sekajäte.\nPääluokkien lisäksi määrätiedot jakautuvat vielä tarkemmin 62 alaluokkaan. Jäteluokitus on esitetty Biomassa-atlaksen verkkosivulla."

"fi": "Yhdyskuntien biojätteet on laskennallisesti tuotettu aineisto. Jätteiden määrätiedot on laskettu 1x1 km ruuduille perustuen asukasmääriin ja yhdyskuntajätteen biojätteen syntykertoimeen 146,9 kg/asukasta kohden vuodessa (Sahimaa, O. julkaisematon laskelma 2016). Syntykerroin on perustuu viimeaikaisiin sekäjätettä koskeviin selvityksiin, Tilastokeskuksen tietoihin ja jätelaitosyhdistyksen sekajätteen koostumustietopankin tietoihin. Biojätteeksi on luettu keittiö-, ruokala-, puutarha- ja puistojätteet. Biojätettä on erilliskerätyn jätteen lisäksi merkittäviä määriä sekajätteen joukossa. Biojätettä päätyy sekajätteen koostumustutkimusten mukaan eri toimijoiden (kotitaloudet, kauppa, palvelut, teollisuus) sekajätteeseen erilaisia määriä, mikä on huomioitu syntykerrointa laskettaessa. Biojätteen kokonaismäärä on muodostettu biojätteen erilliskerätyn sekä eri toimijoiden sekajätteessä olevan biojätteen kokonaismäärän summana.\n\nYritysten biohajoavien sekajätteiden tietoja ja laskennallisesti tuotettuja yhdyskuntien biojätteiden tietoja ei pidä tarkastella kartalla samanaikaisesti, koska laskennalliseen yhdyskuntien biojätteiden määrään sisältyy myös teollisuuden biohajoavien sekäjätteiden sisältämät biojätteet. Muuten osa jätteistä tulee lasketuksi kahteen kertaan."

"fi": "Tuotantoeläinten lannalla tarkoitetaan eläinten nestemäisen ja kiinteän ulosteen eli virtsan ja sonnan sekä kuivikkeiden ja/tai pesuvesien seosta. Lannan koostumukseen vaikuttaa eläimen saama ravinto, sillä lantaan erittyy suurin osa niistä aineista, joita eläin ei pysty käyttämään kasvuunsa ja elintoimintoihinsa. Lanta sisältää paljon ravinteita, kuten typpeä ja fosforia, sekä orgaanista ainesta. Lannan ominaisuudet riippuvat käytetystä kuivikkeesta sekä lannan käsittelyn ja mahdollisen prosessoinnin ratkaisuista. Lantaa levitetään lannoitteena suoraan peltoon, mutta siitä on mahdollista tuottaa prosessoimalla myös esimerkiksi biokaasua ja uudenlaisia lannoitevalmisteita. Lannan levitystä peltoon säätelee EU:n nitraattidirektiivi (91/676/ ETY) ja sen pohjalta laadittu kansallinen lainsäädäntö (VnA 1250/2014, muut. 220/2015, 435/2015, 1261/2015). \nLantapaikkatietoaineisto on muodostettu yhdistämällä Luken ja SYKEn Normilanta -järjestelmän [1, 2, 3] tuottamat eläinkohtaiset tiedot lannan määrästä ja ominaisuuksista eläinten määrätietoihin. Näin saadut kuntatason lannan määrä- ja ominaisuustiedot on viety 1 km ruutuaineistoksi levittämällä ne tasaisesti ruutuun kunnan alueella. Esitetyt eläinluokat ovat maitokarja, lihakarja, lihasiat, emakot ja porsaat, munituskanat, muu siipikarja, lampaat ja vuohet sekä hevoset ja ponit. \nNaudoille ja sioille esitetään lietelannat, kuivat lannat summattuna (sis. kuivalanta, kuivikelanta, kuivikepohjalanta) ja erilliskerätty virtsa. Muille eläinluokille esitetään kuivat lannat. Lantatieto esitetään sekä juuri eläinsuojasta kerätylle että varastoidulle lannalle, sillä niiden ominaisuudet eroavat mm. lannankäsittelyn aikana tapahtuvien hiilen ja typen hävikkien vuoksi. Lantatiedoista on valmiiksi vähennetty laiduntavien eläinten keskimääräinen laitumelle jäävä lanta. \nLampaiden ja vuohien lanta on laskettu vuohien erityskertoimilla lampaiden ja vuohien lukumääriin perustuen. Lampaiden lantatietoja tarkennetaan, kun Normilanta -järjestelmän kehittäminen etenee. Hevosten lantamäärä perustuu Hippoksen hevosenomistajarekisterin perusteella muodostettuun arvioon hevosten kunnittaisista määristä (rekisteri kertoo hevosten omistajien osoitteet, mutta ei hevosten sijaintia). Muiden lantatietojen lähtötietona käytetyt eläinmäärät on saatu Ruokaviraston ylläpitämästä eläinrekisteristä ja summattu kuntatasolle."

"fi": "Biomassa-atlaksen yritystoiminnan jätetiedot kuvaavat ympäristölupavelvollisten yritysten vuosittain tuottamien biohajoavien jätteiden määriä 1 km ruutuaineistona. Aineisto perustuu ympäristöhallinnon YLVA-tietojärjestelmään (ent. VAHTI)) kirjattuihin asiakaskohtaisiin jätetietoihin, joita on jatkokäsitelty Suomen ympäristökeskuksessa. Tiedot koskevat vuotta 2018. Jätemäärät (t/v) on ilmoitettu kansallisen jäteluokituksen mukaisiin kuusinumeroisiin EWC/LoW- jäteluokkiin. Luokitus perustuu valtioneuvoston asetukseen jätteistä (179/2012, liite 4). EWC/LoW-jäteluokkakoodi (EWC=European waste catalogue, LoW = List of Wastes) on muotoa xx.yy.zz, jossa neljä ensimmäistä numeroa kuvaavat jätteen alkuperätoimintaa ja sen alatoimialoja ja kaksi viimeistä numeroa jätteen laatua. Kansallisessa jäteluokituksessa on toimialaluokkia kaikkiaan 20. YLVAssa on lisäksi lietteille käytössä kirjaintarkenne A-G, joka ilmaisee lietteen käsittelytavan.\n\nYLVA-tietojärjestelmässä asiakaskohtaiset jätetiedot kirjataan kolmeen eri jätevirtaan: lähtevä ja tuleva jätevirta sekä varastotilanne. Biomassa-atlaksen yritystoiminnan jätemäärätiedot perustuvat YLVA-asiakkaiden lähtevään jätevirtaan kirjattuihin, biohajoavia jätejakeita koskeviin määrätietoihin (t/v), pois lukien jätteenkäsittelylaitoksilta lähtenyt jätevirta.\n\nYLVA-tietojärjestelmä ei mahdollista jätemäärien aukotonta tasetarkastelua, sillä se on pääasiallisesti kehitetty viranomaisten valvontatehtävää, ei tilastointia varten. Kaikkia jätteiden (esi)käsittelyketjuja koskevia määrätietoja ei tule kirjatuksi YLVAan. Koska jätteenkäsittelylaitoksetkin ovat yritystoimintaa, Biomassa-atlaksen tietojenkäsittelyprosessissa on poistettu yritysten jätemääristä jätteenkäsittelylaitoksilta lähtenyt jätevirta, jotta vältyttäisiin päällekkäiseltä yritysten jätemäärätiedolta. Aineistossa on näin ollen mukana yrityksiltä jätteenkäsittelyyn (esikäsittelyyn, hyödyntämiseen ja loppukäsittelyyn) lähteneet jätemäärät, mutta ei jätteenkäsittelylaitoksilta hyödyntämiseen/loppukäsittelyyn lähteneet jätemäärät. Käytännössä osa yritystoiminnan jätteistä kulkee jätteenkäsittelylaitosten, kuten kuljetus-, keräys- ja lajittelutoimintaa harjoittavien yritysten tai muiden esikäsittelylaitosten kautta varsinaiseen hyödyntämiseen. Osa yritysten jätteistä on YLVAssa kirjattu toimitetuksi suoraan varsinaisiin jätteen käsittely-/hyödyntämispaikkoihin ilman esikäsittelytoimintoja koskevia jätemääräkirjauksia. Myös nämä yritysten jätemäärät ovat aineistossa mukana.\n\nBiomassa-atlaksessa yritystoiminnan jätetiedot on YLVAn EWC-jäteluokkakoodien perusteella jaoteltu viiteen pääluokkaan:\n1) eläin- ja kasvijäte,\n2) liete,\n3) paperi- ja pahvijäte,\n4) puujäte ja\n5) sekajäte.\nPääluokkien lisäksi määrätiedot jakautuvat vielä tarkemmin 62 alaluokkaan. Jäteluokitus on esitetty Biomassa-atlaksen verkkosivulla."
