"en": "The MUTABLE corpus entails video recordings of the work processes related to audio description as well as of the interaction between sighted and blind participants.\n\nThe material includes video recordings of authentic interactions between people and between people and machines: the videos show teamwork between blind and sighted audio description professionals in Finland, Germany, and Austria, as well as interactions between blind and sighted people during an audio-described art museum tour in Finland. The material also includes transcripts of the videos. The material was collected in a project entitled \"Do you see what I hear? The creation of translation through collaboration between blind and sighted people in the audio description process\", funded by the Academy of Finland (decision no. 295104, English name: Multimodal Translation with the Blind, MUTABLE) and later by the MULTI research group (Multimodality in Translation and Interpreting research group, Plural Research Center, University of Tampere). \n\nThe material consists of two sub-collections: mutable-team (http://urn.fi/urn:nbn:fi:lb-2019062001) and mutable-art (http://urn.fi/urn:nbn:fi:lb-2019062002)",

"en": "The data consists of interviews with professionals working in social services supporting integration or employment services, in which they reflect on the development of trust between young immigrants with a refugee background and the authorities. Fourteen of the interviewees were reached in Finland and nine in Sweden. First, the participants were asked how well their clients knew the service system and whether they were aware of the reasons for the client meetings. This was followed by a discussion about trust in the meetings and the young people's previous encounters with authorities. In addition, there was interest in the possible loss of trust in the meetings with clients and in the institutional trust of clients. The participants were also asked how different modes of communication, such as working with an interpreter or remote communication, affect the building of trust. Finally, they were asked to describe how they would develop the system from the perspective of trust. Background information include profession and country of residence.",
"fi": "Aineisto koostuu kotoutumista tukevissa sosiaalipalveluissa ja työllisyyspalveluissa työskentelevien ammattilaisten haastatteluista, joissa he pohtivat nuorten pakolaistaustaisten maahanmuuttajien ja viranomaisten välisen luottamuksen rakentumista. Haastateltavista 14 on tavoitettu Suomesta ja yhdeksän Ruotsista. Aluksi tiedusteltiin, kuinka hyvin asiakkaat tuntevat palvelujärjestelmän sekä ovatko he tietoisia asiakastapaamisten syistä. Tämän jälkeen keskusteltiin luottamuksesta asiakastapaamisissa sekä nuorten aikaisemmista viranomaiskohtaamisista. Lisäksi oltiin kiinnostuneista mahdollisesta luottamuksen menettämisestä asiakastapaamisissa sekä asiakkaiden institutionaalisesta luottamuksesta. Kysyttiin vielä, miten erilaiset kommunikaatiotavat, kuten tulkin kanssa työskentely tai etänä hoidettava kommunikaatio vaikuttaa luottamuksen rakentumiseen. Lopuksi pyydettiin kertomaan, miten kehittäisi järjestelmää luottamuksen näkökulmasta. Taustamuuttujia ovat ammatti ja asuinmaa."

"en": "This folder includes near-infrared (NIR) spectral imaging data collected on September 30, 2022 at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland by Mikko Mäkelä (VTT), Patrik Ahvenainen (Aalto University) and Enriqueta Noriega Benitez (Aalto University). The imaged sample is the same as sample \"Dry A\" in X-ray scattering experiments done at ID02/ESRF on July 1, 2021 (published as a separate record).\r\n\r\nThe dataset contains hyperspectral image data in raw binary format together with calibration files, metadata, and preview images. Each hyperspectral cube consists of 619 lines, with a spatial resolution of 384 pixels (samples) by 288 spectral bands. The data is provided as .raw files with corresponding .hdr and .log files. The .hdr files include the acquisition parameters, such as sensor type, acquisition date and time, frame rate, binning, instrument temperatures, as well as the wavelength axis and full width at half maximum (FWHM) of each band. The .log files document the recording status and dropped frame information, this dataset had no frames lost during acquisition.\r\n\r\nFor each measurement, the data files includes the primary hyperspectral data cube together with the corresponding dark and white reference measurements, all provided as .raw files with their associated .hdr and .log files. In addition, a .png image is provided to show the captured scene. Alongside the capture files, each measurement also includes a calibration file with additional instrument calibration data, and a metadata file with acquisition-related information.\r\n\r\nThe dataset is organized in two, XRAY_Dry_A and XRAY_FOV, both of which follow the same structure and contain their respective raw data cubes, calibration files, metadata, and preview images. The XRAY_Dry_A files correspond to the “Dry A” wood sample, imaged as described above, while the FOV files contain a field-of-view reference measurement with the same acquisition setup. A separate .html document is provided that contains the Python code used to preprocess the raw files and to perform PCA and clustering with visualizations of the results.\r\n\r\n For further details on the experimental setup, data processing, and application, please refer to [add reference/publication]."

"en": "The dataset consists of interviews with coaches and coachees on their thoughts and experiences regarding intermediate labour market workshop activities and their development. The data also include coaching session recordings from one workshop. The data were collected as part of the 'Building Innovation Agency through Empowering Backstage Collaboration' (BINEC) research project, funded by the Emil Aaltonen Foundation.\r\n\r\nThe interviews with the coaches examined their views on the process of developing services for the unemployed and their experiences of working with the clients. The aim was to understand the process and current state of the development of intermediate labour market services. In the interviews with the clients, questions surveyed their experiences and views regarding the activities of intermediate labour market workshops as well as their future plans. The coaching process as a whole was surveyed through the recordings of one-on-one coaching sessions. Themes of discussion in the interviews and sessions included, among others, long-term unemployment, promotion of employment, rehabilitation, Green Care, promotion of activity, and social interaction.\r\n\r\nBackground information included the date of the interview or session, type of data collected (interview or recording), participants, and the participants' role in the workshop. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD.\r\n\r\nThe dataset is available only in Finnish."

"en": "This resource is available for download in Kielipankki - The Language Bank of Finland as part of \"Donate Speech: Selected dataset\", http://urn.fi/urn:nbn:fi:lb-2022060127. The resource contains a 1-hour subset of speech from the Donate Speech Corpus. In this set, each recording was transcribed by four different transcribers. The multi-transcriber data was used for testing an ASR system at Aalto University. The set contains speech from 57 different speakers (according to the metadata accompanying the original recordings). For speech technology development purposes, this multi-transcriber test dataset can be used together with the puhelahjat-test-mtrs set that was extended by adding all recordings by the same speakers to the current puhelahjat-test-mtr dataset."

Using mobile robots, distributed control, wireless communication to enable a more adaptable production process and show the benefits of using the IEC 61499 standard as well as product tracing. Product workflow can be dynamically reacting to various scenarios to fulfil customer order demands and priority designation. Components of the project range from the mobile robots Festo Robotino and ABB YuMi on Milvus SEIT100 automated guided vehicle or AGV to the stationary manufacturing platform EnAS equipped with conveyors, colour cameras, grippers and jacks. Robotino delivers a workpiece to EnAS where it gets processed and the final product is picked up and transported to storage by YuMi AGV. Automated control through skill profiles and OPC UA software makes use of modularity for the backbone control system logic. VDMA Skill profiles for OPC UA were utilized, which offers generic, standardized executable Skills with basic functionality such as controlling a conveyor. Together Skills create composed Skills which allows execution of complex procedures. The Skills, through OPC UA, provide a Skill State Machine in NXT from NXTcontrol. The State Machines in NXT allows for control to fulfil the production scenarios. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic Aalto locales including offices, meeting rooms and the workshop remained closed for the remainder of the project. EnAS rewiring and restorative maintenance work were nearly finalized before the lockdown announcement. Project goals switched from the physical AFoF setup in the workshop to a wholly virtual environment. The scope for Visual Components as visualization as a Digital Twin changed to visualization and simulation. In Visual Components products are traced throughout the production process which is an important aspect when it comes to manufacturing. The main objective for this year's project was to continue the contribution to the \"Aalto Factory of the Future\" (AFoF) initiative. More specifically our objectives were: Software Develop the NXT Studio implementation following IEC61499 standard Develop Skill profiles and the Skill server Design a digital twin in Visual Components visualization, emulating what is happening on the factory floor Hardware* Reanimate the setup (EnAS & Robotino) Set up network of Raspberry Pis for Skills and Skill server Mobility of Milvus SEIT100 and manipulation of IRB14000 YuMi *Progress on the hardware side got cut off by restrictions to the workshop due to the Covid-19 pandemic as of week 11. After which the Visual Components digital twin became the main simulation for the EnAS production unit and related robots."

"en": "Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) experiments are organized within the geodetic, astrometric, and astronomical communities for different applications, requiring different observation strategies adopted in scheduling. Currently, the next-generation geodetic and astrometric VLBI Global Observing System (VGOS) is being established. Over the last years, evidence was presented that the delays introduced by the angular structure of the geodetic radio sources contribute significantly to the VGOS observable error budget. Consequently, correcting these structure delays through imaging will play an important part in the future, requiring a different scheduling approach. \r\n\r\nWithin this work, a new source-centric VLBI scheduling approach is presented for improved imaging capabilities of geodetic observations. While the potential for astronomical imaging is improved significantly, the geodetic and astrometric performance is not degraded. The algorithm is tested for a seven- and nine-station network and compared with classical geodetic schedules. Monte-Carlo simulations are utilized to determine the expected geodetic and astrometric parameter precision and two independent processing pipelines are used to assess the potential for astronomical source imaging. \r\n\r\nBased on the simulation results, it is revealed that with the new scheduling approach twice as many sources can be properly imaged. Furthermore, the precision of the Earth orientation parameter estimates is improved on average by 15 %, while the source position coordinate estimates are on average improved by 50 %. Tests with two VGOS networks of twelve and 29 antennas further reveal that the scheduling approach is also applicable to future VGOS networks."
