"fi": "Aineisto koostuu 17 kirjoituksesta, joissa vammaiset ihmiset visioivat rakenteelliseen vammaissosiaalityöhön liittyviä kysymyksiä toivotussa tulevaisuudessa. Rakenteellinen vammaissosiaalityö tarkoittaa vammaisten ihmisten osallisuutta ja oikeuksien toteutumista vahvistavaa sosiaalityötä.\n\nAineisto on kerätty osana Sosiaali- ja terveysministeriön rahoittamaa Rakenteellisen vammaissosiaalityön tietoperusta ja -käytännöt hyvinvointialueilla -tutkimushanketta (2023–2025). Aineiston keruuaika oli 15.1.2024–8.3.2024.\n\nKirjoituskutsu toteutettiin Kirje tulevaisuudesta -menetelmällä. Osallistujia ohjeistettiin ensin pohtimaan jotakin nyky-yhteiskunnassa askarruttavaa asiaa tai ongelmaa esimerkiksi liittyen vammaisten ihmisten osallisuuden tai oikeuksien toteutumiseen. Tämän jälkeen heitä kehotettiin kuvittelemaan itsensä toivotunlaiseen tulevaisuuden hetkeen, jossa kyseinen asia on jollakin tapaa ratkennut. Sitten osallistujia pyydettiin kirjoittamaan kirje toivotun tulevaisuuden hetkestä nykypäivään ja kertomaan, mikä oli muuttunut, miten ja miksi.\n\nKirjoituskutsu oli kohdennettu täysi-ikäisille vammaisille ihmisille. Osallistumaan pystyi myös avustettuna. Lisäksi kirjoituskutsuun oli mahdollista vastata vammaisen ihmisen läheisenä, kuten vammaisen lapsen vanhempana.\n\nAineistonkeruun yhteydessä kysyttiin osallistujien taustatietoja, joita olivat ikä, sukupuoli, millainen vamma osallistujalla on, käyttääkö tämä vammaispalveluja ja osallistuuko tämä vammaispoliittiseen toimintaan. Taustatietojen antaminen oli vapaaehtoista."

"en": "This resource is available in the Language Bank of Finland.\n\nThe Sapu corpus is a sociolinguistic corpus representing the spoken language of Satakunta in the 21st century (and, more broadly, contemporary Finnish spoken language), which has been lemmatized and annotated morphologically and syntactically. The material has been collected from an old dialect boundary zone, which has been divided by one of the strongest dialect boundaries in Finnish.\nThe corpus contains 40 records representing the spoken language of six localities (Rauma, Honkilahti, Luvia; Pori, Ulvila-Nakkila, Kokemäki).\nThe records consist of audio recordings and the corresponding transcripts. The total length of the recordings is 37 hours and 3 minutes (2223 minutes). There are 51 informants.\nThe corpus is part of the larger Sapu collection, which consists of over 262 hours of audio recordings and 213 hours of transcribed texts in Finno-Ugric phonetic transcription. The collection was compiled between 2007 and 2019. The Sapu corpus contains recordings and texts from 16 municipalities in the border zone and from speakers of different ages and backgrounds. The samples included in the annotated corpus are from 2007–2013 and represent the contemporary language of speakers of different ages from the southwestern side of the dialect boundary zone (Rauma, Honkilahti, Luvia) and the Häme-influenced transitional dialect area (Pori, Ulvila-Nakkila, Kokemäki). The language of both urban and rural speakers is included. "en": "The survey studied voting behaviour in the 2021 county elections in Finland. The data were collected just after the elections. First, the respondents' opinions on the importance of various elections (e.g. parliamentary, presidential, county, municipal) were surveyed. The respondents were asked whether they had followed election reporting, campaigning and advertising in different media (including the social media such as Facebook). Opinions on the importance of the different services provided by the wellbeing services counties and topics related to the wellbeing services counties were explored. Voting behaviour was investigated by asking whether the respondents had voted in the county elections just held, which party they had voted for and whether the candidate or the party had been more important in the choice. Information sources used for the voting choice were studied. Those who had voted were asked why they voted, which factors and issues had influenced their candidate choice, and at which stage they had made their final choice. The respondents who had voted were also asked whether they had considered voting for candidates from any of the other parties, and which parties they in general would consider voting for. Those who had not voted were asked which factors (e.g. 'I had trouble finding a suitable candidate for myself”, 'I did not have enough information about topics that are important for me in order to make a decision”) had contributed to that decision. Next, views on the parties' election campaigns were surveyed. The respondents' views on the desirability of different directions for the future of Finland were investigated with a series of statements (e.g. Finland where there is more law and order, Finland with a smaller public sector, Finland with lower income inequality). The respondents were also asked to assess how left-wing and right-wing several political parties in Finland are. Additionally, the respondents were asked whether they had voted in the 2021 municipal elections and which party/group the candidate they had voted for was from, how well they thought Sanna Marin's government had done so far, and which party/group they would vote for if the parliamentary elections were held right now. Finally, the respondents' trust in different decision-makers (e.g. national decision-makers, decision-makers in the European Union, decision-makers in the respondent's municipality). The future prospects of the respondents' municipalities of residence were examined in terms of various factors (e.g. the municipality's financial situation, education opportunities, the availability of health and social services). The respondents' views were also charted on various potential threats (e.g. terrorism, mass unemployment, social inequality) that Finland could face in the next five to ten years. In addition, the respondents were asked to name five of the most important languages that Finnish people should learn better than they currently do. Background variables included the respondent's gender, age, statistical grouping of municipalities, membership in a federation of trade unions, highest education level, household's annual gross income, and economic activity and occupational status.",

Lopuksi kysyttiin vielä luottamuksesta tiettyjä päättäjiä kohtaan, oman asuinkunnan tulevaisuudennäkymistä sekä ajatuksia mahdollisiin tulevaisuuden uhkiin liittyen. Taustamuuttujia olivat sukupuoli, ikä, kotipaikkakunnan tilastollinen kuntaryhmitys, yhteiskuntaluokka, kuuluminen ammattiyhdistykseen, koulutus, talouden bruttovuositulot sekä ammattiryhmä."

"en": "The dataset consists of interviews with elderly people in which the interviewees reflect on the course of their lives, everyday life, and participation in the Age Institute's Elämänote programme project. The interviews were conducted as peer interviews and the Age Institute trained and supported the interviewers during the project. The interviewers and interviewees were not previously acquainted with each other, but they lived in the same area. The aim of the study was to interview each of the interviewees a total of three times, of which two interviews took place within approximately two weeks and a third interview approximately a year after the first interview. The main themes of the interviews included the everyday lives of elderly people and their need for help in managing their everyday lives. The interviews consisted of questions on the interviewees' situation in life, factors that limited their ability to live their everyday lives, and the support they received as part of their everyday lives. Further questions focused on the future and how the interviewees thought that they would fare in the future. In addition to this, the interviewees were asked about the course of their lives and which things in their lives were important to them. The interviewees could also reflect on their participation in and their ability to influence everyday activities in their lives. In the third and final interview, the interviewees could leave a message for policymakers on topics that they felt were important to elderly people or on topics concerning elderly people for which they hoped for improvement on a societal level. Each of the three interviews had its own interview structure. Background information included the date of the interview, the duration of the interview, and the interviewee's gender. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD. The dataset is only available in Finnish.",

Haastattelut toteutettiin vertaishaastatteluin ja Ikäinstituutti koulutti sekä tuki haastattelijoita hankkeen aikana. Haastateltavat ja haastattelijat eivät tunteneet toisiaan ennalta, mutta asuivat samalla alueella. Haastateltavia pyrittiin haastattelemaan yhteensä kolme kertaa, josta kaksi haastattelua tapahtui noin kahden viikon sisällä ja kolmas haastattelu noin vuoden päästä ensimmäisestä. Edelleen kysyttiin tulevaisuudesta ja siitä, miten haastateltavat uskovat pärjäävänsä tulevaisuudessa. Tämän lisäksi haastatteluissa kysyttiin elämänkulusta ja elämässä koetuista tärkeistä asioista. Haastateltavat pohtivat myös osallistumistaan sekä vaikutusmahdollisuuksiaan arjen toimintojen parissa. Viimeisessä haastattelussa haastateltavat saivat jättää oman viestinsä päättäjille aiheista, jotka he kokivat arvokkaiksi ikääntyneille tai johon he toivoivat parannusta yhteiskunnan tasolta. Jokaisessa kolmessa eri haastattelussa käytettiin omaa haastattelurunkoa. Taustatietoina on mainittu sukupuoli, haastattelupäivämäärä sekä haastattelun kesto. Aineistosta on tehty html-versio, jonka hakemiston avulla haastatteluja on helppo selata."

"en": "This dataset consists of written biographies by Finnish people in paid employment who still experience poverty in their lives due to, for instance, low wages or temporary contracts. The data aimed to chart Finnish experiences of poverty and examine how the phenomenon presents itself in people's mental wellbeing, physical health, and quality of life. The data contain 135 written biographies with varying lengths. The biographies were collected as part of a project of the University of Jyväskylä funded by the Kone foundation. The biographies are personal descriptions of the everyday life of Finns living in poverty. They discuss, for instance, mental health, concerns of sufficiency of funds, and psychological and physical effects of poverty on life. The respondents describe their everyday life, work history, and quality of life. In the writing instructions, the participants were asked to share their experiences about, for instance, possibilities to combine temporary work and social security benefits, and to describe the effects of poverty on everyday life and family. They were also asked to describe physical effects, such as exhaustion, hunger or weight gain, as well as effects on mental wellbeing or life management. Background information included the author's gender, birth year, categorised location of residence, marital status, monthly income, educational level, number of employment contracts during the author's career, whether the author has children, and the author's primary activity during weekdays. The data were organised into an HTML index at FSD. The dataset is only available in Finnish.",

Kirjoittajat ovat henkilöitä, joiden tulotaso on jäänyt matalaksi työssäkäynnistä huolimatta, esimerkiksi epätyypillisten työsuhteiden tai matalapalkka-alan vuoksi. Aineiston avulla pyrittiin kartoittamaan köyhyyden kokemuksia työssäkäyvien suomalaisten keskuudessa sekä lisäämään tietoa siitä, miten ilmiö näkyy ihmisten henkisessä hyvinvoinnissa, kehossa ja elämänlaadussa. Aineisto sisältää 135 vapaamuotoista kirjoitusta, jotka vaihtelevat pituudeltaan. Kirjoitukset kerättiin Jyväskylän yliopiston hankkeessa Köyhä, läski ja roska - Jakautuvan Suomen eriarvoistuvat ruumiit, johon rahoitus haettiin Koneen säätiön Jakautuuko Suomi? -rahoitushausta. Kirjoitukset ovat henkilökohtaisia kuvauksia pienituloisten suomalaisten arjesta. Niissä käsitellään esimerkiksi mielenterveyttä, huolta rahan riittävyydestä sekä köyhyyden henkisiä ja fyysisiä vaikutuksia elämään. Kirjoittajat kuvaavat arkeaan, työhistoriaansa sekä elämänlaatuaan. Kirjoituspyynnössä vastaajia ohjeistettiin kertomaan esimerkiksi pätkätöiden ja sosiaaliturvan yhdistämisen mahdollisuuksista sekä kuvailemaan pienituloisen arkea ja epätyypillisen työn mahdollisia vaikutuksia perhe-elämään. Lisäksi pyydettiin kuvauksia köyhyyden ja heikkojen työolojen ruumiillisista vaikutuksista kuten jaksamisesta, nälästä ja lihomisesta sekä köyhyyden vaikutuksista mielialaan ja elämänhallintaan. Taustatietoina aineistossa on kirjoittajan sukupuoli, syntymävuosi, luokiteltu asuinpaikka, siviilisääty, kuukausiansiot, koulutus ja työsuhteiden lukumäärä työuran aikana. Lisäksi on kerätty tieto siitä, onko kirjoittajalla lapsia ja mitä hän pääasiassa tekee arkisin."

"en": "Meteorological datasets described here have been compiled for four weather stations in Finland: Vantaa, Jokioinen, Jyväskylä and Sodankylä. The datasets can be regarded as extended RASMI datasets, and they contain 30-year time series at hourly resolution of the following variables: air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and direction, global and diffuse horizontal irradiance, direct normal irradiance, precipitation, and atmospheric downward longwave radiation. The datasets for the recent past climate comprise years 1989–2018. The datasets for weather variations in projected future climates include three periods, 2015–2044, 2035–2064 and 2065–2094, referred to according to their mid-point years, i.e., 2030, 2050 and 2080, respectively. All the time series representing potential future climates were compiled for three representative concentration pathways: RCP2.6 representing small, RCP4.5 medium, and RCP8.5 very large greenhouse gas emissions."

"en": "This study adopts a previously published multiscale computational framework for arterial growth and remodeling and adapts it for applications in in situ vascular tissue engineering. The framework consists of a constrained mixture model, capturing the mechanics and turnover of arterial constituents, and a cell-cell signaling model, describing Notch signaling dynamics among vascular smooth muscle cells. With the model, we computationally explored potential sources of tissue engineered vascular graft (TEVG) variability and effects of manipulating Notch, a key vascular signaling pathway. We simulated the evolution of a TEVG from a degradable scaffold under varying patient-specific conditions.\r\n\r\nThis dataset contains the computational codes for the multiscale framework and the raw data from the simulations."

"en": "The annual survey studied employee opinion on the quality of working life in Finland. Main themes included organisation of work, development opportunities and flexibility, learning and training at work, wages, workplace bullying, capacity to work, and changes in working life. Questions in the barometer have mainly remained the same each year. The questionnaire, target population and collection method of the survey were changed for the 2021 collection round. First, the respondents were asked about the number of people employed at their workplace and changes in the number of staff in the past 12 months. Satisfaction in the working environment was charted with questions about openness, encouragement, trust and equality in the workplace. Further questions covered measures taken to improve employees' capacity to work and safety of work environment. The respondents were asked whether their place of work supported its employees in learning and trying new things, and whether they had taken part in job-related training in the past 12 months and received a salary during that time. Participation in job-related training through different methods (e.g. with a mentor, self-study) in the past 12 months was surveyed. The respondents were also asked whether in the past 12 months they had developed their skills and competence so that they could work in a new role in the future, and whether they had received new tasks or responsibilities at their job that had required them to learn new things. The next set of questions focused on flexible working time arrangements at the workplace, pay systems, satisfaction with the pay level, and digital tools as part of work. Autonomy at work was surveyed by asking about influence over own work tasks and working pace, over the distribution of work in the workplace, and about working to a tight schedule. Remote work was investigated with questions on whether the respondents had worked remotely in the past 12 months and whether they felt they could influence how much remote work they did. The use of digital tools, AI-based tools, virtual workspaces, and social media services as part of work tasks was also charted. One set of questions investigated the employees' perceived workload, capacity to work, estimates of own mental and physical capacity to work, and sickness absences. Discrimination at work based on factors such as ethnic group, age, gender, sexual orientation, and health status was explored. Incidents of bullying, sexual harassment and violence at work were also surveyed. Additionally, the respondents' experiences of stress, mental exhaustion, inability to focus, togetherness and excitement related to work were surveyed. The respondents were asked how likely they thought it was that they would be temporarily laid off or made redundant. Views were probed on the respondents' likelihood of getting an equal job if they became unemployed and what they would do if they became unemployed (e.g. apply for a new job in the same field, apply for a new job in a different field, become self-employed, get a job abroad). The respondents were also asked about the non-competition agreements. Finally, the respondents' membership of trade unions and unemployment funds was surveyed. Background variables included, among others, the respondent's year of birth, age, gender, status in employment, employer type, industry of employment, type of contract, and weekly working hours.",
"fi": "Työolobarometrit selvittävät suomalaisen työelämän laatua ja työolojen muutosta palkansaajien näkökulmasta. Työolobarometrien sisältö on pysynyt pääosin samanlaisena eri vuosina. Vuoden 2023 aineistossa kysyttiin aluksi vastaajien työpaikan henkilöstön määrästä sekä esitettiin väitteitä työilmapiiristä, työkyvyn ylläpitämisestä, avoimuudesta ja tasapuolisuudesta työpaikalla. Kysyttiin myös, vaikutetaanko työpaikalla osaamisen kehittämiseen ja työympäristön turvallisuuteen. Edelleen kartoitettiin työntekijöiden mahdollisuuksia kouluttautumiseen ja uuden oppimiseen. Seuraavaksi kysyttiin työajan joustoista, etätyöstä, palkkauksesta ja digitaalisista työvälineistä. Lisäksi kysyttiin fyysisen väkivallan ja seksuaalisen häirinnän kohtaamisesta. Kartoitettiin myös työkykyyn ja työhön liittyviä tuntemuksia kuten stressiä, uupumusta, innostusta ja yhteisöllisyyttä. Edelleen käsiteltiin työn kuormittavuutta ja vastaajan oman työpaikan säilymisen varmuutta. Lopuksi kysyttiin kuulumisesta ammattiliittoon ja työttömyyskassaan sekä kilpailukieltosopimuksesta. Taustamuuttujina olivat muiden muassa sukupuoli, ikä, ammattiasema, työnantajatyyppi, työsuhteen pysyvyys ja kesto, työn koko- tai osa-aikaisuus, työpaikan toimiala ja työaika."

"en": "The data focuses on Finnish upper secondary school students' perceptions and attitudes towards the use of Finnish language and linguistic variation in everyday contexts. The data was collected as part of the research project Societal awareness of linguistic variation and change (LANGAWARE). First, statements were presented relating to language use. The statements concerned, among other things, mixing languages, ways of communicating, following grammar rules, and personal linguistic skills. After this, the respondents were asked to describe their thoughts on colloquial language, the English language use in Finnish, and language change. They were also asked to list linguistic expressions that they use in writing but not in speech. Next, various example words were presented, and respondents were asked to assess the extent to which they use these linguistic expressions in their own speech and communication. After this, dialectal expressions were presented, and respondents were asked to use different pairs of adjectives to assess what kind of image they had of these expressions. Finally, open-ended questions were used to ask respondents for their thoughts on language use and linguistic research. Background variables include year of birth, gender, native language, and municipality of upper secondary school.",
"fi": "Aineisto käsittelee suomalaisten lukiolaisten käsityksiä ja asenteita suomen kielen käyttöön sekä kielellisiin ilmiöihin liittyen erilaisissa arkiympäristöissä. Aineisto on kerätty osana Arkisuomien kielitietoisuudet ja muutos -tutkimushanketta. Aluksi esitettiin väittämiä kielelliseen ajatteluun liittyen. Väittämät koskivat muun muassa kielten sekoittamista, tapoja viestiä, kielioppisääntöjen noudattamista sekä omia kielellisiä taitoja. Tämän jälkeen pyydettiin kuvailemaan, mitä ajatuksia puhekieli, englannin kieli Suomessa sekä kielen muuttuminen vastaajissa herättää. Lisäksi pyydettiin listaamaan kielellisiä ilmauksia, joita käyttää viestitellessään, mutta ei puhuessaan. Seuraavaksi esitettiin erilaisia esimerkkisanoja ja pyydettiin arvioimaan, missä määrin käyttää näitä kielenpiirteitä omassa puheessaan ja viestittelyssään. Tämän jälkeen esitettiin murteellisia ilmauksia ja pyydettiin erilaisten adjektiiviparien avulla arvioimaan, millainen mielikuva vastaajilla on näistä ilmauksista. Lopuksi tiedusteltiin vielä avointen vastausten avulla vastaajien ajatuksia kielen käytöstä ja tutkimuksesta. Taustamuuttujia ovat syntymävuosi, sukupuoli, äidinkieli ja lukion sijaintikunta."
