"en": "Overview This repository contains a modified version of the existing, recently published dataset, Westermo. The initial dataset was gathered at Westermo Network Technologies AB, located in Västerås, Sweden. It encompasses over 1 Million verdicts obtained from testing embedded systems, collected over a span of more than 500 consecutive days of nightly testing. The dataset has been transformed and tailored specifically to cater to the research community, particularly for addressing challenges such as regression test selection, identification of flaky tests, and visualization of test results. The original dataset can be accessed through the reference provided in [1]. The Westermo dataset offers valuable historical information regarding the execution of test cases and their corresponding results. It serves as a valuable resource for evaluating and comparing different Test case Selection and Prioritization (TSP) techniques, enabling researchers to identify test cases that are more likely to fail during subsequent executions. Test cases in the dataset are characterized by attributes such as execution duration, previous last execution time, and the results of their recent executions. This dataset offers valuable historical information regarding the execution of test cases and their corresponding results. It serves as a valuable resource for evaluating and comparing different test case prioritization and selection techniques, enabling researchers to identify test cases that are more likely to fail during subsequent executions. Test cases in the dataset are characterized by attributes such as execution duration, previous last execution time, and the results of their recent executions. Table 1: Dataset Overview Test Cases 1855 CI Cycles 15,197 Verdict 1,036,818 Failed 5.03% However, the diversity and multitude of the features in the dataset can be irrelevant to some TSP approaches. This led us to perform a dataset conversion, where we customized Westermo to have the same features from Paint Control and IOF/ROL, two widely used datasets in Reinforcement Learning based TSP approaches. This conversion required the combination of multiple variables and generating the target ones. When it comes to generating the “LastResults” and “Cycle” values, further analysis was required and the data handling needed an in-depth understanding of how the nightly testing was conducted. This led us to investigate what a CI cycle is in their context, and we followed their definition of a session, stating that “a session is when we run a suite of tests on one test system with a certain software version and testware version”. When splitting the data according to the 9 different systems used, we were able to generate 9 different sub-sets that fit the CI context. File Format The compressed .zip file contains 9 files, each one corresponding to each of the 9 systems. The datasets are available in CSV format, with the semicolon (;) serving as the delimiter. The columns included are represented in the table below along with their descriptions. The implications of this conversion are important as it can help the previous works to re-assess their approaches and have more data for training and testing, as well as opening a broader data spectrum for future researchers in this field to find ready-to-use, rich datasets, on which they could evaluate their approaches and contribute to the TSP community. This also addresses the limitations in the field discussed in the systematic literature review [2], stating that future research on TSP techniques should focus on collecting data from more recent subjects in a CI context with varying failure rates and larger execution times, as reproducible studies with appropriate datasets are needed to develop a usable body of knowledge regarding TSP over time. We believe that this conversion of the Westermo dataset is our contribution to alleviating the gap for the RL-based approaches. The original dataset can be found here."

"en": "Species interactions underlie most ecosystem functions and are important for understanding ecosystem changes. Representing one type of species interaction, trophic networks were constructed from biodiversity monitoring data and known trophic links to assess how ecosystems have changed over time. The Baltic Sea is subject to many anthropogenic pressures, and low species diversity makes it an ideal candidate for determining how pressures change food webs. In this study, we used benthic monitoring data from 20 years (1980-1989 and 2010-2019) from the Swedish coast of the Baltic Sea and Skagerrak to investigate changes in benthic invertebrate trophic interactions. We constructed food webs and calculated fundamental food web metrics evaluating network horizontal and vertical diversity, as well as stability that were compared over space and time. Our results show that the west coast of Sweden (Skagerrak) suffered a reduction in benthic invertebrate biodiversity by 32 % between the 1980's and 2010's, and that the number of links, generality of predators, and vulnerability of prey, have been significantly reduced. The other basins (Bothnian Sea, Baltic Proper and Bornholm Basin) do not show any significant changes in species richness or consistent significant trends in any food web metrics investigated, demonstrating resilience at a lower species diversity. The decreased complexity of the Skagerrak food webs indicates vulnerability to further perturbations and pressures should be limited as much as possible to ensure continued ecosystem functions."

"en": "According to Gloger’s rule animal colouration is expected to be darker in wetter and warmer climates. Such environmental clines are predicted to occur in colour polymorphic species and to be shaped by selection if colour morphs represent adaptations to different environments. We studied if the distribution of the colour polymorphic tawny owl (Strix aluco) morphs (a pheomelanic brown and a pale grey) across Europe follow the predictions of Gloger’s rule and if there is a temporal change in the geographical patterns corresponding to regional variations in climate change. We used data on tawny owl museum skin specimen collections. First, we investigated long-term spatiotemporal variation in the probability of observing the colour morphs in different climate zones. Second, we studied if the probability of observing the colour morphs was associated with general climatic conditions. Third, we studied if weather fluctuations prior the finding year of an owl explains colour morph in each climate zone. The brown tawny owl morph was historically more common than the grey morph in every studied climate zone. Over time the brown morph has become rarer in the temperate and Mediterranean zone, whereas it has first become rarer but then again more common in the boreal zone. Based on general climatic conditions winter and summer temperature were positively and negatively associated with proportion of brown morph, respectively. Winter precipitation was negatively associated with proportion of brown morph. The effects of five-year means of weather on the probability to observe a brown morph differed between climate zones, indicating region dependent effect of climate change and weather on tawny owl colouration. To conclude, tawny owl colouration does not explicitly follow Gloger’s rule, implying a time and space dependent complex system shaped by many factors. We provide novel insights in how the geographic distribution of pheomelanin-based colour polymorphism is changing."

Anticipated to be comprehensive in nature, the dataset encompasses a diverse range of ship types, such as cargo ships, tankers, fishing vessels, passenger ships, and various other categories. The AIS dataset exhibits a prominent attribute in the form of its exceptional granularity with a total of 2 293 129 345 data points. The provision of such granular information proves can help analysts to comprehend vessel dynamics and operations within the Finnish waters. It enables the identification of patterns and anomalies in vessel behavior and facilitates an assessment of the potential environmental implications associated with maritime activities. "en": "This study presents a multiscale computational framework coupling a constrained mixture model, capturing the mechanics and turnover of arterial constituents, to a cell-cell signaling model, describing Notch signaling dynamics among vascular smooth muscle cells. Tissue turnover was regulated by both Notch activity, informed by in vitro data obtained from human coronary artery smooth muscle cells, and a phenomenological contribution, accounting for mechanisms other than Notch. The framework was used to predict changes in wall thickness and arterial composition in response to hypertension and thereby demonstrated the effects of Notch signaling and Notch interventions on this process. This dataset contains the computational codes for the multiscale framework (i.e. the constrained mixture model and the Notch signaling model), the codes for the data fitting and optimization, and the raw data from the simulations and the in vitro experiments used to inform the model."

"en": "Phenotypic plasticity may enable individuals to cope with predictable and unpredictable environments during their life-cycle. In that context, studying glucocorticoids – corticosterone (CORT) in birds – is relevant because of their primary role in allostasis. Higher baseline CORT levels are classically associated with environmental constraints and lower fitness (the CORT-fitness hypothesis). However, in some environments, higher baseline CORT levels can promote reproduction, therefore being associated with higher fitness (the CORT-adaptation hypothesis). These two hypotheses have been tested in multiple systems, but rarely in a context of fluctuating predation threat. We used a long-term individual-based monitoring of baseline CORT levels in female common eiders Somateria mollissima (nCORT = 1537; nindividual = 790; 2009-2022) to disentangle the context-dependent links between environmental conditions, CORT and fitness. Importantly, the study population has been facing a drastic increase in predation pressure over the past decades, linked to the recovery of the white-tailed eagle Haliaeetus albicilla. Additionally, eiders breed on open or forested islands, further affecting adult and nest predation risk. This system allowed us to disentangle the relative contributions of within- and among-individual variation in baseline CORT levels under predation. Supporting the CORT-adaptation hypothesis, baseline CORT levels were positively associated with reproductive investment (clutch size), age and hatching success. By partitioning within- and among-individual effects, we showed that at the individual level, CORT flexibly increased with clutch size and age. Females displaying higher CORT levels were more successful, suggesting a link between CORT and individual quality. At both the population and individual levels, baseline CORT levels decreased over the study period. This decrease was correlated with an increase in predation risk. Females had reduced baseline CORT when nesting under high eagle abundance or adult predation risk (within-individual effect). Interestingly, apparent plasticity towards adult predation risk was only observed on open islands, likely reflecting habitat-dependent strategies. Consistent with the CORT-adaptation hypothesis, we show that changes in predation regime not only correlate with changes in reproductive investment, but also with rapid plastic adjustment of glucocorticoid levels and therefore individual strategies to cope with predation risk. Given the correlative nature of our study, we encourage further experimental studies testing for a causal relationship between predation and corticosterone levels."

"en": "Dataset for training pix2pix model to predict nuclei from brightfield images of MDA-MB-231. This dataset contains 1600 brightfield and 1600 nuclei images. The nuclei were labeled using sir-DNA (Cytoskeleton). Cells were imaged live (37 °C, 5% CO2) using a Nikon Eclipse Ti2-E microscope (Nikon) equipped with an sCMOS Orca Flash4.0 camera (Hamamatsu) and controlled by the NIS-Elements software (Nikon, v 5.11.01). MDA-MB-231 cells were imaged using a 20× Nikon CFI Plan Apo Lambda objective (NA 0.75), either 1 frame per minute for 2 hours or 1 frame every 5 minutes for 17 hours. In these experiments, a camera binning of 2 × 2 was used."

This filtering ensures that the dataset primarily consists of more discernible maritime objects, contributing to improved data quality. This superclass aggregation facilitates the use of both transfer learning and learning from scratch, making the dataset more versatile for various machine learning applications. Semantic Relevance: The categorization into superclasses in ABOships-PLUS was guided by semantic relevance, with human supervision. The objective was to create more meaningful superclasses, both from a semantic and visual perspective, enhancing the dataset's utility for maritime object detection research. This format transition enhances compatibility with a broader range of machine learning frameworks and tools, in contrast to the original ABOships dataset, which used CSV format. To create ABOships-PLUS, images were extracted from videos recorded in MPEG format, with a resolution of 720p at 15 frames per second (FPS). An image was extracted every 15 seconds, equivalent to every 225 frames, from videos filmed in the Finnish Archipelago using a camera attached to a moving watercraft known as a waterbus or \"vesibussi\" in Finnish. "en": "This data set is related to the article ‘Tricentennial trends in spring ice break-ups on three rivers in Northern Europe’ which was published in The Cryosphere in 2022. The data set includes the ice-off dates (the first day the river is ice-free) for Aura River in Turku (60°45’N, 22°27’E) over the period 1749–2020 and the break-up (the date when the ice started breaking up and/or moving) dates for Kokemäki River in Pori (61°48’N, 21°79’E) over the period 1793–2020. Both rivers are in Finland. The data set has been developed for climate research purposes. The aim was to create two series with homogenized break-up dates with regard to site and event. The series will be updated if new observations are obtained. See the Readme_txt for more information about the data sets."
