Cells with phase-space density less than 1x10^-15 m^-6 s^3 constitute the Vlasov solver buffer region. The data coordinates are in units of m s^-1 and the velocity coordinates correspond to velocity along the spatial coordinates. The filenames are of form 'velgrid.fig3x.{:09d}.{:04d}.vtu', with the longer number corresponding to spatial cell id and the shorter to simulation time in seconds.\n\nNomenclature clarification added 2026-03-09:\nThe name EGI follows the Vlasiator global runs naming convention:\n\nThree letter code: XYZ(Å)\n\nFirst letter (X)\n- A: 2D ecliptic run\n- B: 2D Polar run\n- C: extended 2D ecliptic run\n- D: extended 2D polar run\n- E: 3D\n- F: 3D with ionosphere\n- G-Z: Not yet used\n\nSecond letter (Y)\n- A: Runs using Leveque Vlasov solver, Hall-less fieldsolver (anno 2013, Hermit)\n- B: Runs using Slice3D solver, PPM translation, PQM acceleration (Summer--Autumn 2014, Sisu pilot usage)\n- C: Slice 3D, trans PPM, acc PQM with final filtering, field & acc substepping, new ionosphere boundary (version from around christmas 2014)\n- D: Vlasiator 3. The files include the start and end days as well as the length of the melt period with both methods defined with the SMOS F/T soil thaw data. The total biospheric posterior CH4 emissions from the inverse model CTE-CH4 during the melt period defined with both methods are in csv-file format, also for the Hudson Bay lowlands and Western Siberian lowlands. All the variables are given for the years 2011-2021 and have an annual time resolution."

"fi": "on Luonnonvarakeskuksen (Metla) 1970-1990 - luvuilla voimassa ollut koesarja. Kokeessa tutkittiin lannoituksen ajoittamista harvennuksen suhteen. Harvennukset on toteutettu alaharvennuksina. Kokeita on kertalannoitettu N 150kg/ha.\n\nKoesarja käsittää 7 koetta; 2 kuusikkoa ja 5 männikköä. Koealoja sijaitsee Puumalassa (PLH001), Savonlinnassa, Varkaudessa, Pieksämäellä (PLH002), Heinävedellä (PLH003), Posiolla (PLH062), Haapajärvellä (PLH062) ja Puolangalla (PLH063, PLH064).\n\nArkistoinventointidokumentin perusteella kokeella on perustamisvaiheessa/ensimmäisellä puustonmittauskerralla tehty myös lustonmittaus & otettu maanäytteitä.\n\nKoealan puusto on mitattu viidesti, vuosien 1975- 1990 välillä. Mahdollisesti lisämittauskerta suoritettu vielä 1990 -luvulla. \nMittausohjeistusta on kuvattu MT239 kirjassa sivuilla 206-210. Mittaustiedot on kerätty Luken (Metla) 20, 71 - ja 72 -lomakemuotoon.\n\nKokeen aineisto sisältää puustonmittaukset koostettuina Exceleinä kokeittain."

"en": "The oral history project component of the Fin-Est Connection was created in order to better understand the essence of the phenomenon at the heart of the research project: the spontaneous humanitarian aid from Finns to Estonians during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The main research questions were how did this aid begin, how was it executed and how the participants see this process themselves, as well as what the impact of it was then and might be perceived to be now. The interviews can be described as free-form semi-structured conversations. If one includes the interviews conducted during the pilot study period, the corpus comprises 44 interviews overall. 56 percent of research participants identified as male, 44 percent identified as female. The research participants were either Estonian or Finnish nationals who had personal memories related to the research topic.",
"fi": "Muistitietotutkimuksen osa projektista Fin-Est Connection luotiin, jotta ymmärrettäisiin paremmin tutkimushankkeen ytimessä olevan ilmiön olemus spontaanista humanitaarisesta avusta suomalaisilta virolaisille 1980-luvun lopulla ja 1990-luvun alussa. Tärkeimmät tutkimuskysymykset olivat, miten tämä apu alkoi, miten se toteutettiin ja miten osallistujat näkevät tämän prosessin itse, samoin kuin sen vaikutuksen silloin ja nyt. Haastatteluja voidaan kuvata vapaamuotoisiksi puolistrukturoiduiksi keskusteluiksi. Jos korpukseen sisällyttää myös pilottitutkimuksen aikana tehdyt haastattelut niin kokonaisuus käsittää kaikkiaan 44 haastattelua. 56 prosenttia tutkimukseen osallistuneista oli miehiä, 44 prosenttia naisia. Tutkimuksen osallistujat olivat joko virolaisia tai suomalaisia, joilla oli tutkimusaiheeseen liittyviä henkilökohtaisia muistoja."

Temperature and relative humidity (RH) were measured by one integrated sensor, the Digital Matter I2C Temperature and Humidity Sensor [https://www.digitalmatter.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/I2C-Temperature-and-Humidity-Sensor-Datasheet.pdf] Within the sensor, the temperature and RH were measured using the Silicon Labs Si7021-A20 I2C Humidity and Temperature Sensor chip. The chip is factory calibrated and has maximum operating ranges of 0% to 100% RH and -40°C to +125°C temperature. The measurement accuracy for temperature is maximum ±0.4°C if the ambient temperature is between -10°C and 85°C. The measurement accuracy of the chip is maximum ±3% RH if the ambient RH is between 0% and 80%. The Temperature and Humidity Sensor was protected by a radiation shield to minimize the influence of direct sunlight and thermal radiation on the measurements. The radiation shield (height 11.5 cm, radius 14 cm) was made of white plastic and consisted of 9 ventilated plates stacked in a cylindrical design allowing for adequate airflow while shielding the sensor from external radiation.\n\nQuality check \nThe temperature data was quality checked using a multi-step procedure. First, values were screened based on long-term climatological daily minimum and maximum temperatures derived from 10 km × 10 km resolution gridded temperature data for the Tampere region (Aalto et al., 2016). Measurements falling clearly outside the climatological range were removed. Subsequently, remaining values were filtered based on statistical properties of the measurements, using median and median absolute deviation (MAD) over short time intervals to identify and remove outliers. A final threshold based on deviations from the local median was applied to exclude any remaining extreme values.\n\nThe Local Climate Zones (LCZs) in Helsinki\\_Table1\\_New. have been defined for each measurement station following the Global LCZ data (Demuzere 2022a, Demuzere, et al. 2022b) based on the Local Climate Zone (LCZ) Classification system by Stewart and Oke (2012).\n\nTable Of Contents:\n\nThe descriptions of the measurement stations are in Helsinki\\_Table1\\_New.txt. \nColumns: \n1. (in preparation) of 12 measurement stations in Rovaniemi.\n\nTechnical Info:\n\nNB: update on 17.2.2026, file Rovaniemi\\_202601.dat added.\n\nThe measurements were conducted at a height of 3 m in the locations listed in Rovaniemi\\_Table1.txt during 3.6.2025-31.1.2026.\n\nEach measurement station consisted of three parts: a temperature and humidity sensor, a solar radiation shield, and an Internet of Things (IoT) device, which collected the measurement data and communicated them to a server via Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN). Temperature and relative humidity (RH) were measured by one integrated sensor, the Digital Matter I2C Temperature and Humidity Sensor [https://www.digitalmatter.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/I2C-Temperature-and-Humidity-Sensor-Datasheet.pdf] Within the sensor, the temperature and RH were measured using the Silicon Labs Si7021-A20 I2C Humidity and Temperature Sensor chip. The chip is factory calibrated and has maximum operating ranges of 0% to 100% RH and -40°C to +125°C temperature. The measurement accuracy for temperature is maximum ±0.4°C if the ambient temperature is between -10°C and 85°C. The measurement accuracy of the chip is maximum ±3% RH if the ambient RH is between 0% and 80%. The Temperature and Humidity Sensor was protected by a radiation shield to minimize the influence of direct sunlight and thermal radiation on the measurements. The radiation shield (height 11.5 cm, radius 14 cm) was made of white plastic and consisted of 9 ventilated plates stacked in a cylindrical design allowing for adequate airflow while shielding the sensor from external radiation.\n\nQuality check\n\nThe temperature data was quality checked using a multi-step procedure. First, values were screened based on long-term climatological daily minimum and maximum temperatures derived from 10 km × 10 km resolution gridded temperature data for the Tampere region (Aalto et al., 2016). Measurements falling clearly outside the climatological range were removed.
