The dataset covers data and indicators on library premises, branches, collections, services, acquisitions, use, users, opening hours, finances, and staff. The statistical data have been collected from the National Library of Finland, university libraries, university of applied sciences libraries, and a few specialised libraries. The collecting organisations are specified in the data files: the file daF3629_1 contains data on university libraries and the file daF3629_2 contains data on other scientific libraries. The collecting organisations compiled the statistical data in accordance with the following standards: ISO 2789 (International library statistics), ISO 11620 (Library performance indicators), and ISO TR20983 (Performance indicators for electronic library services). More information on the data collection can be found in the KITT user guide (available only in Finnish, see Related Materials/Related files).",

Kerääjäorganisaatiot on eritelty datatiedostoissa: daF3629_1-tiedostossa on yliopistokirjastojen ja daF3629_2-tiedostossa muiden tieteellisten kirjastojen tietoja. The dataset covers data and indicators on library premises, branches, collections, services, acquisitions, use, users, opening hours, finances, and staff. The statistical data have been collected from the National Library of Finland, university libraries, university of applied sciences libraries, and a few specialised libraries. The collecting organisations are specified in the data files: the file daF3635_1 contains data on university libraries and the file daF3635_2 contains data on other scientific libraries. The collecting organisations compiled the statistical data in accordance with the following standards: ISO 2789 (International library statistics), ISO 11620 (Library performance indicators), and ISO TR 28118 (Performance indicators for national libraries). "en": "The dataset consists of focus group interviews on the expediency of the obligation that young people must apply for education to receive unemployment benefits. Focus group interviews were conducted in three different regions of Finland with youth service workers at TE Offices, TE Services employees working at Ohjaamo Guidance Centres and workers at vocational training institutions. Four interviews were conducted with TE Services and six with educational institutions. Teachers, guidance and career counsellors, and applications services experts from vocational schools and vocational special education schools took part in the educational institution interviews. Two different interview frameworks were used, depending on the interview group. Some questions were asked in the form of a statement. Employees of TE Services and Ohjaamo Guidance Centres were asked, for example, about their opinion on the obligation to apply for further education and its impact on their own organisation's practices and on young people. Questions also covered the use of discretionary powers and the extent to which the interviewees felt that young people were aware of the obligation to apply for education as a condition to receive unemployment benefits. The interviewees were also asked about possibilities for improving the obligation to apply for education. Employees of educational institutions were asked about their views on the obligation to apply for education, and the impact of the obligation to apply on the operation of educational institutions and their application processes. In addition, views were sought on issues such as the impact of the obligation to apply on studies and young people's lives, and on possible needs for the obligation's development. Background information included the number of interviewees per group interview, the date of the interview, and the length of the interview. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD. The dataset is only available in Finnish.",
"fi": "Aineisto sisältää fokusryhmähaastatteluja nuorten työttömyysturvaan sisältyvän koulutukseen hakuvelvoitteen tarkoituksenmukaisuudesta. Fokusryhmähaastatteluja tehtiin kolmella eri alueella Suomessa TE-toimistojen nuorten palveluiden työntekijöille, Ohjaamoissa työskenteleville TE-palvelujen työntekijöille sekä ammatillisten oppilaitosten työntekijöille. TE-palvelujen haastatteluja tehtiin neljä ja oppilaitoshaastatteluita kuusi. Oppilaitoshaastatteluihin osallistui ammatillisten oppilaitosten ja ammatillisten erityisoppilaitosten opettajia, opinto- ja uraohjaajia sekä hakupalveluiden asiantuntijoita. Haastatteluissa oli käytössä kaksi erilaista haastattelurunkoa riippuen siitä, mikä haastateltavien ryhmä oli kyseessä. Osa kysymyksistä esitettiin väitteen muodossa. TE-palveluiden ja Ohjaamojen työntekijöiltä kysyttiin mm. mielipidettä koulutukseen hakuvelvoitteesta sekä sen vaikutuksista nuoriin itseensä ja oman organisaation toimintatapoihin. Lisäksi kysyttiin mm. harkinnanvaraisuuden käytöstä, sekä siitä, missä määrin vastaajien mielestä nuoret ovat tietoisia työttömyysturvaan sisältyvästä velvoitteesta hakea koulutukseen. Vastaajilta kysyttiin myös hakuvelvoitteen kehittämismahdollisuuksista. Oppilaitosten työntekijöiltä kysyttiin niin ikään näkemyksistä liittyen hakuvelvoitteeseen, sekä hakuvelvoitteen vaikutuksista oppilaitosten toimintaan ja hakuprosesseihin. Lisäksi tiedusteltiin esimerkiksi näkemyksiä hakuvelvoitteen vaikutuksista opiskeluun ja nuorten elämään, sekä hakuvelvoitteen mahdollisista kehitystarpeista. Taustatietona mainitaan mm. haastateltavien lukumäärä ryhmähaastattelussa, haastatteluajankohta sekä haastattelun pituus. Aineistosta on tehty html-versio, jonka hakemiston avulla haastatteluja on helppo selata."

"en": "This dataset consists of texts on the career paths of Finnish people who graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sports Studies (university of applied sciences) or a Master's degree in Sport Sciences between 2004 and 2015. The dataset contains 61 texts, including seven texts that were collected during pilot testing. The texts were collected using FSD's Penna data collection tool. In the writing guidelines, the participants were asked to discuss their education and career as well as any career-related turning points in their life. The texts focused on, among other topics, the people, hobbies, and events that had led the writers to different studies and jobs. Additionally, the writers discussed why they were or were not currently working in the sports sector. Background information included whether the text was collected as part of the pilot testing, the writer's age, gender, attained degree, year of graduation, and field of work. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD. The dataset is available only in Finnish.",
"fi": "Aineistossa liikuntaneuvojan, liikunnanohjaajan (AMK/YAMK) tai liikuntatieteiden maisterin tutkinnon vuosina 2004-2015 suorittaneet henkilöt kertovat urapoluistaan. Aineisto on kerätty Tietoarkiston Penna-työkalulla ja sisältää 61 kirjoitusvastausta, joista seitsemän on kerätty pilottikeruuna ennen varsinaisen keruun alkamista. Kirjoituskutsussa vastaajia pyydettiin kertomaan laajasti omasta koulutuksestaan, työurastaan sekä uraan liittyvistä käännekohdista elämässä. Kirjoittajat kertovat esimerkiksi henkilöistä, harrastuksista ja tapahtumista, jotka ovat johtaneet eri opiskelu- ja työpaikkoihin. Lisäksi kirjoituksissa käsitellään vastaajien merkittävimmiksi kokemia työpaikkoja suhteessa opintoihin. Kirjoittajia ohjeistettiin myös kertomaan, mikä heidät on saanut pysymään liikunta-alalla tai jos he eivät enää työskennelleet liikunta-alalla, mikä tähän päätökseen on johtanut. Taustatietoina aineistossa on tieto siitä, onko kirjoitus pilotti- vai varsinaisesta keruusta, vastaajan ikä ja sukupuoli sekä suoritetut tutkinnot valmistumisvuosineen. Lisäksi kerättiin tieto siitä, työskenteleekö vastaaja liikunta-alalla vai jollain muulla alalla. Aineistosta on tehty html-versio, jonka hakemiston avulla haastatteluja on helppo selata."

The dataset covers data and indicators on library premises, branches, collections, services, acquisitions, use, users, opening hours, finances, and staff. The statistical data have been collected from the National Library of Finland, university libraries, university of applied sciences libraries, and a few specialised libraries. The collecting organisations are specified in the data file. The collecting organisations compiled the statistical data in accordance with the following standards: SFS-ISO 2789:2013 (International statistical standard for libraries which is based on the main standard ISO 2789:2013 International library statistics), ISO 11620:2014 (Library performance indicators), SFS-ISO 16439:2016 (Methods and procedures for assessing the impact of libraries, based on ISO 16439:2014 Methods and procedures for assessing the impact of libraries), and ISO TR 28118:2009 (Performance indicators for national libraries). The statistical data have been collected from the National Library of Finland, university libraries, university of applied sciences libraries, and a few specialised libraries. The collecting organisations are specified in the data file. The collecting organisations compiled the statistical data in accordance with the following standards: SFS-ISO 2789:2015 (International statistical standard for libraries which is based on the main standard ISO 2789:2013 International library statistics), ISO 11620:2014 (Library performance indicators), SFS-ISO 16439:2016 (Methods and procedures for assessing the impact of libraries, based on ISO 16439:2014 Methods and procedures for assessing the impact of libraries), ISO TR 28118:2009 (Performance indicators for national libraries). "en": "The survey charted Finnish everyday life, values, attitudes, and current phenomena. First, the respondents were asked about their taste in music and literature, as well as how important they thought listening to music and reading books were. The respondents' values were examined with the 57-item Schwarz Value Survey (SVS), with the addition of the 'privacy' item. Changes in society and concerns about the future were surveyed with several questions. The respondents were asked, for example, whether they thought there would be positive or negative developments in Finland's national security and economy in the next few years as well as how often they were concerned about issues such as homelessness, energy problems, and climate change. The respondents' media use and digital gaming and gambling were also charted. Questions included, for example, which newspapers and magazines the respondents read and how often, which TV shows they found most interesting, and how often they watched TV or listened to the radio. Additionally, the respondents were asked whether they currently used or were planning on purchasing or acquiring various electronic devices or services (e.g. a laptop, smart watch, NFC, cloud services, or contactless payment services), how well they thought they could use a computer and a smartphone or mobile phone, and how often, on which devices and for what purposes they used the internet or social media. The use of social media was further examined with questions on which social media services the respondents used, why they used them (e.g. to keep in touch with friends, to learn new things, to spend time in a fun way), and how often they followed social media events that were important to them. Digital gaming and gambling were also surveyed with questions on how often the respondents played certain types of digital games (e.g. mobile games, console games, computer games), how often they bought new games or paid to be able to play games, how much money they usually used on digital games in any given week, and which genres of games (e.g. action, adventure, strategy, lotteries, online poker) they enjoyed playing the most. Next, the respondents' views on current phenomena were charted with various statements on matters such as new technology, following the news, Finland joining NATO, the internet, internationalism, and climate change. The statements included, for example, whether increasing government debt was wrong for future generations, politicians were genuinely interested in the life of an ordinary person, and life without social media would be miserable. The respondents were also asked whether any political parties, ideologies, or non-governmental or civic organisations advocated for issues that were important to them. Finally, the respondents' actions relating to environmental protection (e.g. whether they recycled, bought organic and locally grown food, and avoided using plastic bags) and their own health were examined. Background variables included the respondent's gender, age, marital status, level of education, job title, economic activity and occupational status, type of municipal of residence, household size, number of children aged under 18 living in the household, income of the household, and job title of the second parent/guardian of the children. Additionally, the respondents were asked whether they had any pets.",

Selvitettiin myös, miksi vastaaja on mukana sosiaalisessa mediassa. Lisäksi eri viestimien kiinnostavuutta ja tarpeellisuutta selvitettiin. "fi": "Aineisto koostuu liikkuvan nuorisotyön ammattilaisten ja vapaaehtoisten sekä liikkuvaa nuorisotyötä hyödyntävien nuorten haastattelulitteraatioista ja yhdestä kuvia sisältävästä tiedostosta. Haastatteluissa selvitettiin Aseman Lasten koordinoimien Walkers-autojen eli Wautojen toimintaa eri paikkakunnilla. Aineisto sisältää yksilö- ja ryhmähaastatteluita sekä haastattelumuistiinpanoja. Haastattelurunkoja oli neljä erilaista: nuorisotyöntekijöillä, nuorisopalveluiden esihenkilöillä, nuorilla ja vapaaehtoisilla työntekijöillä omansa. Haastatteluissa kysyttiin työntekijöiltä aluksi liikkuvasta nuorisotyöstä ja Wauto-toiminnasta haastateltavan paikkakunnalla sekä mitä hyötyä Wautosta on nuorten näkökulmasta paikkakunnalla. Lisäksi kysyttiin muun muassa, millaista Wautossa työskentely on ollut ja mitä osaamista liikkuva nuorisotyö on vaatinut nuorisotyöntekijöiltä. Lisäksi haastatteluissa kysyttiin, miten Wauto tavoittaa nuoria, ja onko toiminnassa ollut vapaaehtoisia. Lopuksi kysyttiin tiivistystä, millaista liikkuva nuorisotyö ja Wauto-toiminta on ollut. Esihenkilöiden haastatteluissa kysyttiin osittain samoja kysymyksiä kuin työntekijöiltä, mutta lisäksi kysyttiin liikkuvan nuorisotyön johtamisesta sekä ajatuksia Walkers-brändistä ja Aseman Lapset ry:stä. Jos Wauto-toiminta oli jo kunnassa loppunut, kysyttiin, miten toiminta jatkui tai loppui, millainen oli Wauton kutsuperiaate ja mitä haasteita ja hyviä puolia liikkuvaan nuorisotyöhön kuului. Nuorten haastatteluissa kysyttiin muun muassa, miksi käy Wautolla, milloin ja miksi kävi ensimmäistä kertaa Wautolla, ja miksi kaikki nuoret eivät käy Wautolla. Lisäksi kysyttiin, millaisia toivomuksia liikkuvalle nuorisotyölle on tulevaisuudessa. Nuorilta kysyttiin myös, käyttääkö muita vastaavia palveluita. Haastattelun lopuksi nuoria pyydettiin jatkamaan Wautoa koskevia lauseita. Vapaaehtoisilta työntekijöiltä kysyttiin muun muassa, mikä oli motiivi lähteä vapaaehtoiseksi, millaista toiminta ja vapaaehtoisena oleminen on ollut, miten kuvailisi Wauton toimintaa ja millainen auto on työvälineenä ja tilana. Taustatietona mainitaan haastatteluajankohta, haastateltavan rooli ja ammatti sekä sukupuoli. Nuorten taustatietoina oli myös ikä. Aineistosta on tehty html-versio, jonka hakemiston avulla haastatteluja on helppo selata."

"en": "The survey studied the members of learned societies and researchers working in Finland. The data were collected by the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies (TSV) with the aim of obtaining information on the members of Finnish and international learned societies. First, the respondents' membership of Finnish learned societies, their motivations for holding membership (e.g. advancing research, professional development, networking/being a part of community), and the societies' events they had participated in were examined. Those who were not members of Finnish learned societies were asked about their reasons for not joining. Membership of international learned societies and reasons for not joining international learned societies were also surveyed. Additionally, attitudes towards the role of learned societies in Finland and the importance of science for Finnish society were investigated. The next set of questions focused on scholarly journals. The respondents were asked how often they read articles from scholarly journals and what their preferred format for reading scholarly journals was. The purposes for which the respondents read articles from both national and international peer reviewed journals were charted, and the respondents were also asked about the value placed on peer reviewed journals in their own field as a publishing forum. Background variables included, the respondent's age (categorised), gender, region of residence (NUTS2), whether the R was a Finnish citizen, educational background, highest education level achieved, field of education, and type of organization worked at.",

Aineiston keräsi Tieteellisten seurain valtuuskunta (TSV) ja sillä pyrittiin saamaan selville tietoa kotimaisten ja kansainvälisten tieteellisten seurojen jäsenistöstä. Ensiksi vastaajilta kysyttiin taustatietoja, esimerkiksi ikää, sukupuolta ja työskentelyorganisaatiota. "en": "The dataset consists of interview transcripts with people who spend a lot of time playing video games. The interviewees are selected from two different target groups. The first group consists of people who have sought help for compulsive gaming, and the second groups consists of people who play video games competitively for at least 30 hours a week. The dataset is part of a follow-up study. First, the interviewees were asked to describe how they started digital gaming. The interviewees were also asked about their career, family, and friends. Next, they were asked to describe what a normal day or week of digital gaming was like for them and to describe in as much detail as possible one digital gaming experience from the previous month. Additionally, the interviews included questions about the interviewees' other hobbies and their satisfaction with their current job. In relation to gaming, the interviewees were asked whether they felt that they spent too much time playing digital games. Background information included, among others, the interviewee's gender, information on which interviewee group the interviewee was part of, and the date of the interview. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD. The dataset is available only in Finnish.",
"fi": "Aineisto koostuu paljon videopelejä pelaavien henkilöiden haastattelulitteraatioista. Haastateltavia on valittu kahdesta eri kohderyhmästä. Osa haastateltavista on videopelejä kilpailullisesti vähintään 30 tuntia viikossa pelaavia henkilöitä, ja osa pelaamisen takia apua hakeneita henkilöitä. Aineisto on osa seurantatutkimusta. Haastatteluissa vastaajaa pyydettiin aluksi kertomaan siitä, miten pelaaminen sai hänen kohdallaan alkunsa. Haastateltavaa pyydettiin myös kertomaan työurastaan, perheestään ja ystävistään. Seuraavaksi pyydettiin kuvailemaan normaali pelipäivä tai -viikko. Haastateltavaa pyydettiin lisäksi muun muassa kuvailemaan mahdollisimman yksityiskohtaisesti yksi pelaamiskokemus edelliseltä kuukaudelta. Haastatteluissa kysyttiin myös tutkittavan muista harrastuksista sekä tyytyväisyydestä sen hetkiseen työhön. Pelaamiseen liittyen kysyttiin myös esimerkiksi sitä, pelaako haastateltava omasta mielestään liian paljon. Taustatietona mainitaan mm. sukupuoli, haastatteluajankohta sekä tieto siitä, kumpaan haastateltavien ryhmään tutkittava kuuluu. Aineistosta on tehty html-versio, jonka hakemiston avulla haastatteluja on helppo selata."
