The dataset is growing when new observations are added every month. The data are mostly raw data or output from the various measurement systems; calibration is left for the user. However, ready plots are available for most of the astronomically interesting observations.\n\nThis dataset contains:\n(i)\ttotal intensity maps of the solar disk measured with the 14-metre radio telescope at 37 GHz since 1978 (data from years 1978-1987 are digitized from contour plot printouts and converted to match the modern data format),\n(ii)\ttotal intensity of the Sun at 11.2 GHz, measured continuously with a 1.8-metre radio telescope since 2001,\n(iii)\tother data such as total irradiance / pyrheliometer data, telescope pointing data, weather parameters, and other auxiliary information."

"fi": "Maaseutubarometri kartoittaa suomalaisten käsityksiä maaseudun merkityksestä ja tulevaisuudesta. Tutkimuksen tilasivat maaseutupolitiikan neuvosto (MANE) ja maa- ja metsätalousministeriö. Tämä aineisto sisältää julkisen sektorin päättäjille, yrityspäättäjille, median edustajille sekä maaseutuasiantuntijoille suunnatun kyselyn vastaukset. Kyselyllä selvitetään vastaajien käsityksiä maaseudusta, maaseudun kehitystarpeista sekä maaseudun elinkeinoihin ja yrittäjyyteen liittyvistä asioista. Aineisto on osa toistuvaa tutkimusta, jossa tiedonkeruu toteutetaan säännöllisin väliajoin eri vastaajajoukoille. Kysymykset säilyvät tiedonkeruukerrosta toiseen pääosin samoina, mikä mahdollistaa tulosten ajallisen vertailun. Kyselyyn oli mahdollista vastata suomeksi sekä ruotsiksi. Aluksi vastaajilta tiedusteltiin, millaisia mielikuvia maaseutu ja kaupunki herättävät heissä, ovatko tietyt alueet heidän näkemyksensä mukaan maaseutua vai eivät ja kokevatko he itsensä kaupunkilaisiksi vai maalaisiksi. Seuraavaksi kysyttiin, mitä maaseutu merkitsee vastaajille nyt tänä päivänä ja todennäköisesti kymmenen vuoden kuluttua. Lisäksi selvitettiin, mitä he toivovat maaseudun tulevaisuudelta ja puolestaan mitä he uskovat maaseudun tulevaisuuden tuovan tullessaan. Lopuksi selvitettiin näkemyksiä maaseudun roolista kestävyysmurroksessa, maaseutuun liittyvistä väittämistä, maaseudun kehittämistarpeista sekä yrittäjyyttä ja maaseutuyrittäjyyttä koskevista väittämistä. Lisäksi vastaajat arvioivat, millaisista maaseutupoliittisista toimista olisi mahdollista karsia sekä miten eri alojen liiketoimintamahdollisuudet tulevat kehittymään maaseudulla. Aineistossa kaikilta vastaajilta kerättyjä taustatietoja ovat vastaajaryhmä, vastauskieli, syntymävuosi, sukupuoli, koulutusaste, ammattiasema, talouden yhteenlasketut bruttotulot, puoluepreferenssi eduskuntavaaleissa sekä äidinkieli. Lisäksi vastaajaryhmiltä on kysytty ryhmäkohtaisia taustatietoja. Julkisen sektorin päättäjiltä kysyttiin, miten heidät on valittu tehtäväänsä ja millä aluetasolla he osallistuvat päätöksentekoon. Maaseutuasiantuntijoilta kysyttiin muun muassa millä toimialalla he työskentelevät ja millä aluetasolla pääasiassa vaikuttavat. Yrittäjiltä kysyttiin toimialaa, liikevaihtoa vuonna 2022, yrityksen henkilöstömäärää sekä omaa asemaa yrityksessä. "en": "The Rural Finland survey examines perceptions of the significance and future of rural areas in Finland. Commissioned by the Rural Policy Council and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland, this dataset contains responses from public sector decision-makers, business decision-makers, media representatives, and rural experts concerning rural areas, their development needs, and issues related to livelihoods and entrepreneurship. The dataset forms part of a repeated study conducted at regular intervals among respondents drawn from the same target population. As the survey questions remain largely unchanged over time, the data enable longitudinal comparisons. The survey was available in Finnish and Swedish. Initially, the respondents were asked what kinds of associations rural and urban areas evoked for them, whether they considered certain areas to be rural or not, and whether they saw themselves as urban or rural residents. Next, they were asked what rural areas meant to them at present and what they were likely to mean ten years from now. In addition, the survey examined what respondents hoped for the future of rural areas and, conversely, what they believed the future would bring for rural areas. Finally, the survey explored respondents' views on the role of rural areas in the sustainability transition, statements concerning rural areas, rural development needs, and statements related to entrepreneurship and rural entrepreneurship. In addition, respondents assessed which rural policy measures could potentially be scaled back and how business opportunities in different sectors are likely to develop in rural areas. The background variables collected from all respondents include respondent group, response language, year of birth, gender, level of education, occupational status, total gross household income, party preference in parliamentary elections, and native language. In addition, respondent group-specific background information was collected from each group. Public sector decision-makers were asked how they had been selected for their position and at what territorial level they participated in decision-making. Rural experts were asked, among other things, in which sector they worked and at what territorial level they primarily exerted influence. Business decision-makers were asked about their sector of business, turnover in 2022, number of employees, and their position within the company. Media representatives were asked about their job role, the type of media organisation they represented, and the geographical area in which the media organisation operated."

Tämän jälkeen selvitettiin, kuinka paljon aikaa vastaajat viettävät erilaisilla alueilla vuoden aikana ja aikovatko he muuttaa seuraavan 10 vuoden aikana joko maaseutumaisempaan tai kaupunkimaisempaan ympäristöön. Tämän jälkeen kartoitettiin, mitä asioita vastaajat kokevat tarvitsevansa hyvän elämän saavuttamiseksi ja miten nämä asiat toteutuvat heidän kohdallaan tällä hetkellä. Lisäksi vastaajilta kysyttiin, mitä he toivovat maaseudun tulevaisuudelta, mitä he uskovat maaseudun tulevaisuuden tuovan tullessaan ja mikä merkitys maaseudulla on kestävyysmurroksessa. "en": "The Rural Finland survey examines Finns' perceptions of the significance and future of rural areas. Commissioned by the Rural Policy Council and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland, the survey explores perceptions of rural areas, willingness to move to a rural area, criteria for a good life, and the importance of rural areas at present and ten years into the future. This dataset contains responses to a survey directed at Swedish-speaking citizens. The dataset forms part of a repeated study conducted at regular intervals among respondents drawn from the same target population. As the survey questions remain largely unchanged over time, the data enable longitudinal comparisons. Respondents were first asked about the images and perceptions that rural and urban areas evoke, whether they considered certain areas to be rural, and how different types of areas, such as sparsely populated areas, urban areas, and rural areas, relate to their own lives. They were then asked how much time they spend in different types of areas during the year and whether they intend to move to a more rural or more urban environment within the next ten years. Respondents were then asked which factors they considered necessary for a good life and to what extent these were realised in their own lives. They were also asked about their hopes and expectations regarding the future of rural areas and the role of rural areas in the sustainability transition. Finally, respondents were asked to evaluate a range of statements concerning rural areas, as well as entrepreneurship and livelihoods in rural areas. The background variables included region, major region, municipality classification, urban-rural classification, year of birth, age, gender, level of education, occupational status, combined gross household income, party preference in parliamentary elections, mother tongue, household size, household type, number and ages of children, and type of dwelling."

"en": "Continuous environmental parameter monitoring data collected utilizing IoT-sensors in the Turku region, South-West Finland. Parameters include, but are not restricted to water temperature, water turbidity, stream water levels, stream water flow rate, storm water network water level, storm water network water flow rate, precipitation, wind direction, wind speed, air humidity, air pressure, air temperature. The sensor network is continuously expanded to include more stations and parameters. Data is collected mainly on 10 - 15 minute intervals by different sensors, transmitted by LoRaWAN and received at a cloud database. Anturiverkostoa laajennetaan jatkuvasti lisäämällä siihen uusia asemia ja parametreja. Tiedot kerätään pääasiassa 10-15 minuutin välein eri antureilla, lähetetään LoRaWANin kautta ja vastaanotetaan pilvitietokantaan. "en": "Context: Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), particularly Large Language Models (LLMs), has rapidly emerged as a transformative force in software engineering, supporting activities such as code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation. Despite their growing adoption, empirical evidence remains limited regarding how LLM-based tools influence established dimensions of software product quality such as those defined in ISO/IEC 25010 as well as collaboration and innovation within software teams. Goal: This study investigates how the integration of GenAI tools affects software quality, human-centered factors, and development processes across the software lifecycle. We aim to provide a holistic understanding of both the opportunities and risks associated with their adoption in professional environments. Method: We conducted a survey with 121 software practitioners from 26 Brazilian states, spanning public and private sectors. The questionnaire comprised 38 closed- and open-ended questions. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics analysis, while qualitative answers underwent open and axial coding following Grounded Theory principles. Results: Practitioners reported positive perceptions of GenAI in functional suitability, performance efficiency, maintainability, and flexibility, as well as in usability and adaptability. They emphasized productivity gains, faster bug detection, and automation of repetitive tasks, but expressed concerns about reliability, security, and safety. Open-ended responses revealed improvements in collaboration, communication, and innovation, particularly through rapid prototyping and creative ideation, alongside risks such as overreliance, diminished peer interaction, and a lack of long-term evidence on software quality. Conclusions: GenAI tools are perceived as important complements to software development, enhancing productivity, code quality, and team collaboration when used under human-in-the-loop oversight. Their integration demands governance mechanisms that ensure reliability, accountability, and sustainable quality improvements."

"en": "Abstract Background Primary healthcare centres are burdened by the management of patients with skin conditions, while general practitioners might lack the expertise to assess skin changes accurately. The traditional care chain for skin findings is a multistage process that can cause delayed diagnosis and treatment, distressing the patient. This study aimed to determine whether adding a dermatologist to the primary care team would streamline the care pathway of patients with skin conditions, while examining levels of satisfaction among patients and healthcare professionals. Methods A quasi-experimental multicentre study was conducted in three primary health centres in Finland. A dermatologist was integrated into two of the centres (intervention) but not the third (control). Data on timing of diagnosis and treatment and number of contacts were collected from records and analysed per care path. The Patient Enablement Instrument (PEI) and Net Promoter Score (NPS) were used to measure the patient’s experience of the appointment. NPS and professional satisfaction queries were used to measure professional satisfaction. Results In total 186 intervention and 176 control patients were included, with 38 primary care professionals. The dataset supports the study “Enabling Cloud-Level Accuracy in Edge AI through IoT Data Preprocessing”: \r\n\r\nhttps://doi.org/10.48550/arXiv.2606.22496\r\n\r\nAIRWISE provides three core resources:\r\n\r\nIndoor environmental sensor dataset (BME680, 1-minute resolution). 146,000+ minute-averaged readings from Raspberry Pi + Bosch BME680 nodes in three real micro-environments (office, kitchen, hallway) at Tampere, Finland (2025-11-14 to 2025-12-18): temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, gas resistance, indoor air quality (IAQ) proxy, z-score anomaly detectors, and limit-annotated long-format tables with ground-truth anomaly flags.\r\n\r\nOutdoor air-quality and meteorological time series (hourly, full-year 2023). Helsinki (Finland), Katowice and Warsaw (Poland): NO₂, CO, O₃, PM₂.₅, temperature, and relative humidity assembled from national monitoring networks (FMI, GIOŚ, IMGW-PIB), as cleaned single-series city tables (≈8,760 hourly records per city) and limit-annotated long-format tables with anomaly flags.\r\n\r\nBinary LLM query benchmark (1,440 labeled yes/no questions). 240 natural-language questions per site across six sites, balanced by task type (80 air quality, 80 thermal comfort, 80 joint environmental condition), each with ground-truth answer, violation label, offending factors, and rationale — ready for benchmarking local/edge and cloud LLMs on sensor-grounded reasoning.\r\n\r\n\r\nAlso included: reference air-quality and thermal-comfort limits (EU air-quality standards and Finnish/Polish national guidelines); the unmodified institutional source files for the outdoor component (FMI exports, GIOŚ archive workbooks and station metadata, IMGW-PIB synoptic tables); the complete dataset-generation scripts covering every pipeline step (raw sources → cleaned tables → limit-annotated data → LLM queries) with a requirements.txt for a verified minimal Python environment; SHA-256 checksums; and a dependency-free validation script. Schemas, exact row counts, coverage, and usage examples are documented in README.md and MANIFEST.md."

"en": "The dataset consists of interviews with care professionals employed in intensive service housing units for older adults in Finland. The data examine the content of elder care work, the range of technologies used in care work, and the effects of different technologies on care practices. The interviewees included practical nurses, registered nurses, activity instructors, and an occupational therapist. At the beginning of the interview, participants were asked to describe their career paths, typical working days, and both positive and demanding experiences in their work. The interviews also explored everyday interactions related to care work and the role of gender in care work. In addition, participants were asked to discuss challenges, decisions, and views concerning the care of older adults and the use of technologies. Particular attention was paid to how different devices and applications affect the smoothness of work processes, safety, and the everyday lives of care recipients. Background information includes the interviewee's gender, occupation, age group, and information related to their family and work history."

"fi": "Tutkimuksessa käsiteltiin terveyteen ja yleiseen suomalaiseen terveydenhuoltoon liittyviä kysymyksiä. Lisäksi kysymykset käsittelivät epidemioiden hoitoa sekä yhteiskunnalliseen keskusteluun liittyviä aiheita. Terveyttä ja terveydenhuoltoa koskien vastaajille esitettiin väittämiä terveydenhoitojärjestelmästä, terveyspalveluista, terveysongelmista, vaihtoehtohoidoista ja lääkäreistä. Vastaajilta tiedusteltiin myös koetusta onnellisuudesta sekä luottamuksesta terveydenhuoltojärjestelmään. Kysyttiin myös onko oikeudenmukaista, että suurituloiset voivat ostaa paremman terveydenhoidon kuin pienituloiset. Tiedusteltiin halukkuudesta maksaa korkeampia veroja kaikkien suomalaisten terveydenhoidon parantamiseksi sekä pyydettiin mielipidettä joidenkin terveydenhoitoon liittyvien asioiden rahoittamisesta julkisin varoin. Vastaajilta kysyttiin myös, ovatko he käyttäneet internetiä terveyteen ja hyvinvointin liittyvään tiedonhakuun. Kysyttiin myös vastaajien kokemia terveysongelmia viimeisten neljän viikon ajalta sekä kuinka usein vastaaja on käynyt lääkärin tai vaihtoehtohoitoa tarjoavan henkilön vastaanotolla viimeksi kuluneiden 12 kuukauden aikana. Lisäksi samalta aikajaksolta haluttiin tietää, onko vastaaja jäänyt ilman tarvitsemaansa hoitoa ja kuinka todennäköisesti vastaaja saisi vakavaan sairauteen parasta mahdollista hoitoa haluamaltaan lääkäriltä. Kysyttiin myös tyytyväisyydestä Suomen terveydenhoitojärjestelmään yleensä sekä viimeksi saatuun hoitoon lääkärissä tai vaihtoehtohoidossa. Vastaajilta kysyttiin lisäksi tupakoinnista, liikunnasta, alkoholin nauttimisesta sekä hedelmien ja kasvisten syönnistä. Vastaajilta pyydettiin myös arviota omasta terveydentilasta ja kysyttiin, onko vastaajalla jokin pitkäaikaissairaus. Lopuksi tiedusteltiin vastaajan mielipidettä siihen, miten koronapandemiaa on hoidettu Suomessa, ja miten pandemia on vaikuttanut vastaajan ja hänen kotitaloutensa työllisyyteen ja taloudelliseen tilanteeseen. Taustamuuttujia olivat muun muassa sukupuoli, ikä, siviilisääty, koulutustaso ja koulutuksen pituus, nykyinen työmarkkina-asema, puolison nykyinen työmarkkina-asema, vastaajan ja puolison ammatti sekä perheen ja vastaajan tulot.",
"en": "This survey examined opinions on health policy and health services in Finland as well as the respondents' own state of health. Additionally, the survey charted the handling of epidemics and other current topics of discussion in society. Questions relating to health and health services surveyed the respondents' satisfaction with life and trust in the Finnish health care system. The respondents were asked how fair or unfair they thought it was that people with better income could buy better healthcare, the extent to which they agreed with statements relating to the health care system, and how willing they would be to pay more taxes to improve the health care in Finland. The respondents were asked about public funding of different health measures, who should get treatment, and whether they thought getting access to health care was easier for some groups over others. Views were probed on the causes of severe health problems, alternative medicine and trust in doctors. The respondents were asked whether they had used the internet to look for health or medical information, and if yes, which topics they had researched (vaccinations, anxiety, healthy lifestyle). The respondents' opinions on the usefulness and reliability of information found on the internet were surveyed, and their views on the safety of vaccinations were charted. Next, the respondents were asked about (mental and physical) symptoms experienced, treatment received, reasons for forgoing medical treatment, and the probability of receiving the best possible treatment. Satisfaction with the health care system as well as the latest treatment when visiting a doctor and an alternative health care practitioner were investigated. Questions covered smoking and drinking habits, exercise and nutrition, perceived status of health, chronic illnesses and conditions, and height and weight. Other questions investigated what kind of health insurance the respondents had and who they thought should primarily provide health care services for the sick and elderly in Finland (e.g. government, private companies, family). Finally, the respondents' opinions on issues relating to the COVID-19 pandemic were examined. The respondents were asked whether they thought Finnish authorities should have the right to, for example, shut down businesses or demand that people stay at home at times of severe epidemics, as well as whether their trust in the health care system and the government had increased or decreased based on how the pandemic had been handled in Finland. Questions also surveyed how the respondents' work activity, income and social life had been affected by the pandemic. Background variables included, among others, the respondent's gender, age, level and length of education, status in employment, occupation, economic activity, marital status, spouse's status of employment and occupation, religious affiliation, political party choice in the previous parliamentary elections, household composition, monthly gross income, monthly gross household income and degree of urbanisation."

"fi": "Tutkimus käsittelee kansalaisvaikuttamista Suomessa sekä suhtautumista yhteiskunnalliseen vaikuttamiseen. Aluksi vastaajilta kysyttiin, miten tärkeinä he pitävät erilaisia yhteiskunnallisen vaikuttamisen ja osallistumisen muotoja. Seuraavaksi tiedusteltiin, pitäisikö julkiset kokoontumiset sallia uskonnollisille ääriryhmille, sellaisille ryhmille, jotka haluavat kaataa maan hallituksen väkivalloin tai johonkin rotuun tai etniseen ryhmään ennakkoluuloisesti suhtautuville ihmisille. Esitettiin myös erilaisia poliittisen ja yhteiskunnallisen osallistumisen muotoja ja kysyttiin, ovatko vastaajat tehneet tai voisivatko he kuvitella tekevänsä esitettyjä toimia. Seuraava kysymys käsitteli median käyttöä politiikan seuraamiseen. Tämän jälkeen haluttiin tietää, kuinka monen henkilön kanssa vastaajat ovat päivittäin tekemisissä. Lueteltiin myös erilaisia ryhmiä, järjestöjä ja yhdistyksiä sekä tiedusteltiin kuuluuko vastaaja niihin ja osallistuuko hän niiden toimintaan. Seuraavaksi kysyttiin, kuinka tärkeinä vastaajat pitivät eri ominaisuuksia, joita edellytetään kunnon kansalaiselta. Esitettiin myös hallitusta ja poliittisia kysymyksiä koskevia väittämiä. Tämän jälkeen vastaajille esitettiin tilanne, jossa eduskunta suunnittelee säätävänsä lain, jota vastaaja pitää epäoikeudenmukaisena. Tällaiseen tilanteeseen liittyen haluttiin tietää, kuinka todennäköistä olisi, että vastaaja kykenisi tekemään asialle jotain. Haluttiin myös tietää, kuinka todennäköisenä pidettiin sitä, että eduskunnassa kiinnitettäisiin vakavasti huomiota näihin vaatimuksiin. Poliittisia mielipiteitä kartoitettiin pyytämällä vastaajia kertomaan oma sijoittumisensa vasemmisto-oikeisto -akselilla sekä kysymällä, voiko luottaa siihen, että hallitus tekee enimmäkseen oikeita ratkaisuja. Esitettiin myös väittämä, että useimmat poliitikot olisivat mukana politiikassa vain hyötyäkseen siitä henkilökohtaisesti. Lopuksi kysyttiin politiikasta keskustelemisesta, esitettiin politiikkaa koskevia väittämiä sekä kysyttiin julkisen sektorin sitoutumisesta palvelemaan kansalaisia ja tiedusteltiin, kuinka yleisenä korruptiota pidettiin julkisella sektorilla. Taustamuuttujina ovat mm. vastaajan sukupuoli, syntymävuosi, siviilisääty, koulutus, ammatti, ammattiasema, säännöllinen viikoittainen työaika, ammattiliiton jäsenyys, työnantajasektori, toimiala, poliittinen asennoituminen, kirkossakäynti, kirkon tai uskonnollisen yhteisön jäsenyys, yhteiskuntaluokka, bruttotulot, kotitalouden tulot, kotitalouden henkilömäärä ja ikärakenne, vastaajan asuinpaikkakunnan tyyppi ja asuinmaakunta sekä puolison koulutus, ammatti, säännöllinen viikoittainen työaika, työnantajasektori ja toimiala.",
"en": "The survey studied citizen participation, attitudes towards participation, and political and social influence in Finland. Opinions were charted on what is required of a good citizen (e.g. always vote, never evade taxes, help the less fortunate), and whether religious extremists, groups that want to violently overthrow the government, and people prejudiced against some racial or ethnic group should be allowed to hold public meetings. The respondents were asked which forms of civic participation they had or would be willing to engage in (e.g. participate in a demonstration, contact a politician or government official to voice an opinion), how often they used the media to follow news on politics, and how many people they interacted with in a day. Membership and activity in different kinds of groups or associations (e.g. political party, church, voluntary association) were investigated as well as the importance of various rights of citizens (e.g. sufficient standard of living for all citizens, increased opportunities to participate in public decision-making, the right to abstain from voting). Views were charted on own abilities to influence decision-making, own knowledge of and interest in politics, self-placement on the left-right axis, trust in politicians and other people, and engagement in political discussions and debates with other people. Opinions on the campaign and election integrity were charted as well as views on the commitment of the public sector to serve citizens and the likelihood of corruption in the public sector. Finally, the respondents assessed the quality of democracy in Finland and reported how often they followed politics in different media. Background variables included, among others, the respondent's gender, year of birth, education, working hours, supervisory duties, employer sector, occupation, economic activity and occupational status as well as spouse's working hours, supervisory duties, employer sector, occupation, and economic activity and occupational status. Further background information included the respondent's membership in a trade union, religious affiliation, religious attendance, self-perceived social class, political party preference in elections, household composition, monthly gross income, marital status and type of municipality of residence."

Yhteiskunnalliseen ja poliittiseen osallistumiseen liittyen vastaajaa pyydettiin kertomaan onko hän tehnyt tai aikooko tehdä seuraavia asioita: allekirjoittanut vetoomuksen, boikotoinut tuotteita, osallistunut mielenosoitukseen, osallistunut poliittiseen tapahtumaan, ottanut yhteyttä politiikkoon tai virkamieheen, lahjoittanut tai kerännyt rahaa poliittiseen tai yhteiskunnalliseen toimintaan, ottanut yhteyttä tiedotusvälineisiin tai osallistunut Internetissä poliittiseen keskusteluryhmään. Lisäksi kysyttiin kuuluko vastaaja poliittiseen puolueeseen, ammattiyhdistykseen, kirkkoon tai uskonnolliseen organisaatioon, urheilu-, vapaa-ajan tai kulttuuriryhmään tai johonkin muuhun järjestöön tai yhdistykseen ja kuinka aktiivisesti hän osallistuu sen toimintaan. Demokraattisiin oikeuksiin liittyen kysyttiin kuinka tärkeää on, että kaikilla on riittävä elintaso, että viranomaiset suojelevat vähemmistöjen oikeuksia ja kohtelevat kaikkia tasapuolisesti, että poliitikot ottavat kansalaisten mielipiteet huomioon, että kansalaisille annetaan enemmän mahdollisuuksia osallistua päätöksentekoon ja että kansalaiset voivat osoittaa kansalaistottelemattomuutta. Lisäksi kysyttiin, uskooko vastaaja hänenlaisillaan ihmisillä olevan sananvaltaa hallituksen tekemisiin, kuinka hyvin hän on perillä ajankohtaisista poliittisista kysymyksistä, kuinka kiinnostunut hän on politiikasta, voimmeko luottaa hallituksen tekevän oikeita ratkaisuja, kuinka usein vastaaja keskustelee politiikasta tuttaviensa kanssa ja pitääkö hallituksen tarvittaessa rajoittaa demokraattisia oikeuksia. Luottamusta toisiin ihmisiin kartoitettiin kysymällä mielipidettä ihmisten reiluudesta. Mielipidettä kansainvälisestä yhteistyöstä selvitettiin kysymällä ensin näkemystä Yhdistyneistä Kansakunnista ja sitten mielipidettä siitä, pitäisikö päätösten teko kansainvälisissä järjestöissä jättää hallituksille vai tulisiko myös kansalaisjärjestöjen osallistua. Lisäksi kysyttiin pitäisikö YK:n puuttua asiaan, jos joku maa rikkoo ihmisoikeuksia. Näkemyksiä suomalaisesta politiikasta selvitettiin kysymällä mielipidettä puolueista, kansanäänestyksestä, vaalitulosten raportoinnin ja ääntenlaskennan rehellisyydestä ja ehdokkaiden kampanjointimahdollisuuksien tasapuolisuudesta. Suomen julkiseen sektoriin liittyen kysyttiin kuinka sitoutunut se on palvelemaan kansalaisia, kuinka todennäköistä on siellä syntyneiden vakavien virheiden korjaaminen ja kuinka yleistä on korruptio. Vastaajaa pyydettiin myös arvioimaan demokratian toimivuutta Suomessa tällä hetkellä, kymmenen vuotta sitten ja kymmenen vuoden päästä. Lopuksi kysyttiin kuinka usein vastaja lukee politiikkaa koskevia juttuja sanomalehdestä, katsoo televisiosta tai kuuntelee radiosta politiikkaa koskevia uutisia tai käyttää Internettiä poliittisen tiedon hankkimiseksi. Taustamuuttujina ovat mm. vastaajan sukupuoli, syntymävuosi, siviilisääty, koulutus, ammatti, ammattiasema, säännöllinen viikoittainen työaika, ammattiliiton jäsenyys, työnantajasektori, toimiala, poliittinen asennoituminen, kirkossakäynti, kirkon tai uskonnollisen yhteisön jäsenyys, yhteiskuntaluokka, bruttotulot, kotitalouden tulot, kotitalouden henkilömäärä ja ikärakenne, vastaajan asuinpaikkakunnan tyyppi ja asuinmaakunta sekä puolison koulutus, ammatti, säännöllinen viikoittainen työaika, työnantajasektori ja toimiala.",
"en": "The survey covers citizen participation, and attitudes towards participation in Finland. Opinions as to what it takes to be a good citizen (e.g. always obey laws, never evade taxes, willingness to serve in the military) were charted. Respondents were asked whether religious extremists, people who want to overthrow the government or people prejudiced against any racial or ethnic group should be allowed to hold public meetings. A set of questions charted respondents' political and social participation, for example, taking part in a demonstration or expressing views in the media. Membership and level of activity in different kinds of groups or associations (e.g. political parties, church, voluntary associations) were investigated. One theme covered people's rights in a democracy: respondents were asked to rate the importance of all citizens having adequate standard of living, of being allowed to participate in decision-making, or that authorities respect the rights of minorities etc. Political efficacy was studied by asking whether the government cares what respondents think. The degree to which respondents understand political issues was queried. Further questions explored citizen influence on legislature, respondents' interest in politics, and trust in other people. The survey also investigated opinions on international issues, like whether the UN has too much or too little power, and which bodies should be involved in the decision-making in international organizations. Respondents were also asked whether the UN should intervene if a country violates human rights. Opinions of Finnish politics were studied by asking about political parties, referendums, how honest the counting and reporting of votes had been in the last national elections, and how fair the campaign opportunities of the candidates and parties. Opinions on the degree of commitment and corruption in the Finnish public service were examined. Some questions focused on the functioning of democracy in Finland at the moment, 10 years ago and 10 years from now. Views were probed on whether the government should restrict democratic rights under any circumstances. Frequency of following political news/content in different media was studied, likewise respect and tolerance towards other people. Background variables included respondent's gender, year of birth, marital status, education, occupation, employment status, weekly working hours, trade union membership, employer sector, industry of employment, social class, personal and household income, household composition, type of community, region, and spouse's education, occupation, weekly working hours, employer sector and industry of employment."

"fi": "Vuoden 2019 International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) -aineisto käsitteli taloudellista eriarvoisuutta. Vastaajilta tiedusteltiin suhtautumista eri sosiaalisten ryhmien, ammattien ja yhteiskuntien välisiin tuloeroihin. Lisäksi kyselyssä käsiteltiin vastaajan sosioekonomista tilannetta, verotusta ja yhteiskuntaryhmien välisiä konflikteja. Edellinen eriarvoisuuteen liittyvä ISSP-kysely kerättiin vuonna 2009. Aluksi vastaajia pyydettiin ottamaan kantaa siihen, kuinka tärkeitä erilaiset asiat ovat elämässä etenemisen kannalta, kuten vanhempien varallisuus, kunnianhimo, sosiaaliset verkostot, korruptio ja sukupuoli. Lisäksi kysyttiin käsityksiä rikkaiden ja köyhien maiden varallisuuserojen oikeudenmukaisuudesta ja mitä eri ammattiryhmien edustajat ansaitsevat ja mitä heidän pitäisi ansaita. Seuraavaksi vastaajalta kysyttiin väittämien avulla, ovatko tuloerot vastaajan omassa maassa liian suuret ja kenen tulisi ottaa yhteiskunnassa vastuuta tuloerojen kaventamisesta. Vastaajalta kysyttiin myös kantaa nykyisen hallituksen politiikkaan ja Suomen verotasoon. Seuraavaksi tiedusteltiin, onko Suomessa eri sosiaaliryhmien välillä ristiriitoja. Lisäksi kysyttiin, mihin vastaaja sijoittaa itsensä kymmenportaisella yhteiskunnan hyvä- ja huono-osaisuutta mittaavalla asteikolla tällä hetkellä, lapsuudenkodissa ja kymmenen vuoden päästä. Edelleen kysyttiin, mitkä asiat ovat tärkeitä palkan määräytymisessä. Yhteiskunnan hierarkkisuutta selvitettiin esittämällä vastaajalle viisi erilaista yhteiskunnan hierarkiaa kuvaavaa kuviota ja kysymällä, mikä kuvioista vastaa eniten tilannetta vastaajan omassa maassa ja millainen tilanteen pitäisi olla. Vastaajalta pyydettiin myös tietoja hänen tämän hetkisestä taloudellisesta tilanteestaan. Kyselyn taustatietoina olivat mm. sukupuoli, syntymävuosi, suuralue, ammatti, koulutusaste, uskonnollinen jäsenyys, äänestyskäyttäytyminen, lasten lukumäärä, tulot, siviilisääty ja kuntaryhmitys. Lisäksi kyselyssä on tietoja vastaajan puolisosta ja vanhempien ammateista.",
"en": "The 2019 International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) studied economic inequality in Finland. The respondents' attitudes were surveyed on income disparity between social groups, occupations and societies as well as which actors in society should solve these disparities. In addition, the survey charted the respondents' socio-economic situation, Finnish taxation, and conflicts between social groups. The previous ISSP survey regarding inequality was collected in 2009. First, the respondents' opinions were charted concerning the importance of different factors for succeeding in life, such as parents' wealth, ambition, social networks, corruption, or gender. Additionally, views were canvassed on fairness of differences in wealth between rich and poor countries. The respondents were also asked to estimate what persons in different occupations earned (euros/month, gross) and what the respondents thought they ought to be paid. Next, the respondents were presented with a set of statements that they were asked to agree or disagree with on a 5-point Likert scale. The questions concerned, for example, whether income disparity was too great in Finland, who should intervene with income disparity, whether the policies of the government were justified and whether the current level of taxation was justified. The respondents also placed themselves on a 10-point scale according to whether they considered themselves to be at the top or the bottom in society - currently, in childhood home and ten years into the future. Their views were also enquired on which factors they deemed important in deciding one's level of pay. Views on the hierarchical structure of society were examined by showing the respondents five figures representing differently built societies and asking which of the figures corresponded most closely to the situation in the respondent's own country, and which figure corresponded most closely to an optimal situation. The respondents were also asked questions regarding their economic situation at the time of the survey. Background variables included, for instance, gender, year of birth, region of residence (NUTS2), occupation, educational background, religious affiliation, which party the respondent voted for in previous elections, number of children, income, marital status, and statistical grouping of municipalities (urban, semi-urban, rural). The survey also included questions concerning the respondent's spouse/partner and parents' occupations."

"fi": "Tutkimuksessa käsiteltiin terveyteen ja yleiseen terveydenhuoltoon liittyviä kysymyksiä. Terveyteen liittyvien kysymysten lisäksi kysymykset käsittelivät koulutusta, omaa ja puolison työtilannetta sekä yhteiskunnalliseen keskusteluun liittyviä aiheita. Terveyttä ja terveydenhuoltoa koskien vastaajille esitettiin väittämiä terveydenhoitojärjestelmästä, terveyspalveluista, terveysongelmista, vaihtoehtohoidoista ja lääkäreistä. Vastaajilta tiedusteltiin myös koetusta onnellisuudesta sekä luottamuksesta koulutus- ja terveydenhuoltojärjestelmiin. Kysyttiin myös tarvitseeko terveydenhoitojärjestelmä muutoksia ja onko oikeudenmukaista, että suurituloiset voivat hankkia lapsilleen paremman koulutuksen ja ostaa paremman terveydenhoidon kuin pienituloiset. Tiedusteltiin halukkuudesta maksaa korkeampia veroja kaikkien suomalaisten terveydenhoidon parantamiseksi sekä pyydettiin mielipidettä joidenkin terveydenhoitoon liittyvien asioiden rahoittamisesta julkisin varoin. Vastaajilta kysyttiin myös, pitäisikö sydänleikkaukseen pääsyyn vaikuttaa potilaan tupakointi tai tupakoimattomuus, potilaan ikä tai sen, onko potilaalla pieniä lapsia. Kysyttiin myös vastaajien kokemia terveysongelmia viimeisten neljän viikon ajalta sekä kuinka usein vastaaja on käynyt lääkärin tai vaihtoehtohoitoa tarjoavan henkilön vastaanotolla viimeksi kuluneiden 12 kuukauden aikana tai onko vastaaja ollut sairaalassa tai poliklinikalla yön yli kyseisenä aikana. Lisäksi samalta aikajaksolta haluttiin tietää, onko vastaaja jäänyt ilman tarvitsemaansa hoitoa ja kuinka todennäköisesti vastaaja saisi vakavaan sairauteen parasta mahdollista hoitoa haluamaltaan lääkäriltä. Kysyttiin myös tyytyväisyydestä Suomen terveydenhoitojärjestelmään yleensä sekä viimeksi saatuun hoitoon lääkärissä, sairaalassa tai vaihtoehtohoidossa. Vastaajilta kysyttiin lisäksi tupakoinnista, liikunnasta, alkoholin nauttimisesta sekä hedelmien ja kasvisten syönnistä. Pyydettiin myös arviota omasta terveydentilasta ja kysyttiin, onko vastaajalla jokin pitkäaikaissairaus. Taustamuuttujia olivat mm. sukupuoli, ikä, siviilisääty, koulutustaso ja koulutuksen pituus, nykyinen työmarkkina-asema, puolison nykyinen työmarkkina-asema, vastaajan ja puolison ammatti sekä perheen ja vastaajan tulot.",
"en": "This study examined opinions on health policy and health services in Finland as well as the respondents' own state of health. Questions relating to health and health services surveyed the respondents' satisfaction with life, trust in the Finnish education and health care systems and wished-for changes in the health care system. The respondents were asked how fair or unfair they thought that people with better income receive better education for their children and better healthcare, the extent to which they agreed with statements relating to health care system and how willing they would be to pay more taxes to improve the health care in Finland. The respondents were asked about public funding of different health measures, who should get treatment and whether there were people without access to medical treatment. Views were probed on the causes of severe health problems, which of two equally sick patients should get treatment first (on the grounds of smoking, age or children), alternative medicine and trust in doctors. The respondents were asked about (mental and physical) symptoms experienced, treatment received, nights spent in hospital as an inpatient, reasons for forgoing medical treatment, and the probability of receiving the best possible treatment and treatment from the doctor of their choice. Satisfaction with the health care system as well as the latest treatment when visiting a doctor, an alternative health care practitioner and a hospital were investigated. Questions covered smoking and drinking habits, exercise and nutrition, perceived status of health, chronic illnesses and conditions, and height and weight. Other questions investigated the respondents' rights to Finnish public health care or occupational health care, whether they had an optional health insurance and how likely they thought it was they would receive free health care when ill. The respondents were asked to what extent they agreed with some statements (e.g. \"science and technology will, in the future, be able to solve the problems of today\" and \"a great deal of Finnish public services should be privatised in order to produce services more effectively\") and how much authority and power different institutions and persons possessed in the Finnish society. Background variables included, among others, the respondent's gender, age, level and length of education, status in employment, occupation, economic activity, marital status, spouse's status of employment and occupation, religious affiliation, political party choice in the previous parliamentary elections, household composition, monthly gross income, monthly gross household income and degree of urbanisation."
