"en": "General Descriptio:n This dataset accompanies our research on the development of programmable artificial muscles. By integrating photothermal components into shape memory polymer actuators, we have created a system that exhibits on-command multidirectional bending, controlled by illumination intensity and the chirality of the actuators. The dataset showcases the rapid response of these artificial muscles, with reaction times significantly faster than natural heliotropic systems. The Python code that processes shared data can be found at https://github.com/p3d2/LTCAM. About Dataset The folder \"data\" (inside data.zip) contains thermal videos and recordings of yarns for photothermal actuation measurements. Zahra Madani produced and extruded the filaments, Maija Vaara and Laura Koskelo twisted and winded the filaments, Susobhan Das, and Camilo Arias made the photoactivation recordings and Pedro Silva made the measurements. Samples names can be found in the table below and measurements were performed not sequentially. The \"Materials Characterization.zip\" contains DMA, DSC, FTIR, Rheology, Tensile, and TGA measurements. The following information in this readme considers the documents inside the data folder only. Folders, Files & File formats If the data includes images or audio, you can mention the file format eg.(.svg, .png, .mpeg) LTCAM: - 14 npy pixel data with temperatures (mat files) - 14 npy time data (time files) - Supplementary images of samples and experimental setup Butterfly: - 2 npz pixel with temperatures and time data - 2 mp4 recordings of the activation of wings Rotating: - 6 npz pixel with temperatures and time data - 6 mp4 recordings of activation of samples in a rotating platform Optical parameters setup for 'LTCAM' experiments Laser specification: Ultrafast laser with pulse width 230 fs and repetition rate 2kHz. (Spectra-Physics, TOPAS) Incident wavelength: 800nm (Horizontal polarization) Beam Diameter: 5 mm Average Power: tunable based on experimental need Beam Diameter is larger than the width of the sample. Therefore, to calculate the effective incident power, it has to be the fraction of the total power based on the area of the sample exposed. Lens System: A part of experiment is done under the focused light condition with a lens of 100mm focal length. Power Meter: Thorlab Power meter (Model No. S401C) is used to measure the incident power on the sample.(Wavelength range: 190nm to 20000nm)."

"en": "Information processing and communication in neuronal circuits is enabled by dynamic networks of inter-areal coupling of neuronal oscillations in which hubs play a central role for regulation of communication. Oscillations are shaped by interactions between pyramidal cells and interneurons and are locally influenced by neuromodulatory systems. Here, we set out to investigate how sparial variability in neurotransmitter receptor and transporter density influences frequency-specific large-scale networks of phase-synchrony (PS) and amplitude-correlation (AC) in human magnetoencephalography data. We found that node centrality - indexing which individual brain regions function as hubs - covaried positively with GABA, NMDA, dopaminergic, and most serotonergic receptor and transporter densities in lower frequency bands (delta to low-alpha for PS, and delta for AC) and in the gamma band, but negatively in between. These results establish how local microarchitecture influences large-scale connectivity networks of neuronal oscillations in the human brain in frequency- and spatially-specific patterns."

"en": "This dataset includes partition identifiers obtained from retweet networks collected before the 2019 Finnish Parliamentary Elections and before the 2023 Finnish Parliamentary Elections from conversation streams related to Finnish political parties (SDP, National Coalition, Finns Party, Green Party, Left Party, Center Party) and salient topics (economic policy, social security, immigration, climate, education). The column headers in the two files are the same and indicate the topic of the retweet network. Each row in one file represents all the memberships of one particular Twitter account for the corresponding networks. Memberships are obtained by partitioning each retweet network with METIS algorithm into two similar-sized groups with minimal retweet activity between them. For each column, one partition includes all users marked with 0, whereas the other partition includes all users marked with 1. The order of the numbering is random. Missing values mean that the account was not found in the corresponding network. The dataset does not contain any identifying information or original raw data from the Twitter platform. Anonymization was achieved by randomly shuffling the order of the users so that, within each file, a row index identifies a user. Importantly, there no correspondence can be implied between users in 2019 and users in 2023: in general, the user at row 1 in the 2019 dataset is not the same as the user at row 1 in the 2023 dataset."

"en": "This repository contains a dataset supporting results in the article: Involvement of mAChR-mediated cholinergic neurotransmission in TMS–EEG responses. Song, Y., Gordon, P. C., Roy, O., Metsomaa, J., Belardinelli, P., Rostami, M., & Ziemann, U. in submission, 2024. The CHODME (PHARMACO) dataset contains pre-processed pharmacologic TMS-EEG data from 24 healthy participants. The raw TMS-EEG data were collected as part of a placebo-controlled cross-over study involving three experimental sessions per participant. Participants were given a single oral dose of scopolamine, biperiden, or placebo during each session, with the drug order randomized and balanced across the sessions. Each session included three blocks of single-pulse TMS–EEG recordings targeting the mPFC, AG, and SMA, respectively. The code used to preprocess and process TMS-EEG signal and generate the results in the article can be found on GitHub: https://github.com/Song-Yufei/anti-cholinergic-drugs-on-TMS-EEG-responses The dataset includes: 24 data files from 24 participants, each including preprocessed tms-eeg signals stored in fieldtrip data structure per cortical target per session. "en": "The uploaded data contains (i) \"01_Data\" optimized molecular structure in XYZ format and the primary attributes and SMILES, (ii) \"02_Datasets\" datasets used in the publication, and (iv) \"03_pynb_script\" a Jupyter-Notebook. The 01_Data directory contains more than 8000 subdirectories. Each is for a molecule that undergoes a two-proton two-electron transfer reaction. In each subdirectory, one finds the following files: (1) directories named corresponding to the ones in Figure 1 of the paper. Inside each, there are geometries and properties in XYZ and CSV format, respectively. (2) \"freeEnergy.dat\" contains the free energy of different states. (3) \"schemesquare.dat\" has the parameters of the electrochemical scheme of square representation. The new version (v1.1) contains some updates around: (i) The DFT calculations workflow in a folder called \"04_workflow_of_DFT\" The Gaussian input files have been explained in the \"README\" file. (ii) The Python scripts for data extraction have been added and can be found in \"05_how_to_extracted_data\" (iii) We explained how to compute the Purbaix diagram in great detail \"06_how_to_compute_Pourbaix_diagram/\" All these changes/improvements were applied/made following the Referee of Digital Discovery Journal. The upload contains two datasets (version 1.0.0): urban_with_gnss_dead_zones (7.0 GB, ~16 minutes) City streets A building is passed through on two occasions which makes the GNSS location signal unavailable at times. RTK Fix is acquired at times suburban_nature (10.6 GB, ~19 minutes) The route begins on a suburban street but quickly turns into a nature trail. Lots of vegetation The RTK solution is only Float or None most of the route. Details on collecting the data: Software The data was collected using this open-source recorder. Can be easily replayed using SpectacularAI's SDK (sdk-examples/python/oak/vio_replay.py) Each dataset contains a map of the travelled route in Otaniemi, Espoo, Finland. "en": "We present telerobotics as a novel form of intergroup contact to reduce prejudice and bring about positive social change between groups in conflict. Based on our previous conceptual framework and set of design hypotheses, we conducted a survey that confronts the theory with empirical data on acceptance and preferences of the telerobotic intergroup contact approach in Israel and Palestine. The results shed light on differences in attitudes between the groups and on design considerations for telerobotics when used for intergroup contact. The study serves as a foundation for implementing this novel method of technology-enhanced conflict resolution in the field. The data was analyzed in R software. The archive contains the survey data and the code analyses. The research is supported by The Kone Foundation"

"en": "Background: In last two decades, the use of high-throughput sequencing technologies has accelerated the pace of discovery of proteins. However, due to the time and resource limitations of rigorous experimental functional characterization, the functions of a vast majority of them remain unknown. As a result, computational methods offering accurate, fast and large-scale assignment of functions to new and previously unannotated proteins are sought after. Leveraging the underlying associations between the multiplicity of features that describe proteins could reveal functional insights into the diverse roles of proteins and improve performance on the automatic function prediction task.\r\nResults: We present GO-LTR, a multi-view multi-label prediction model that relies on a high-order tensor approximation of model weights combined with non-linear activation functions. The model is capable of learning high-order relationships between multiple input views representing the proteins and predicting high-dimensional multi-label output consisting of protein functional categories. We demonstrate the competitiveness of our method on various performance measures. Experiments show that GO-LTR learns polynomial combinations between different protein features, resulting in improved performance. Additional investigations establish GO-LTR’s practical potential in assigning functions to proteins under diverse challenging scenarios: very low sequence similarity to previously observed sequences, rarely observed and highly specific terms in the gene ontology.\r\nImplementation: The code and data used for training GO-LTR is available at https://github.com/aalto-ics-kepaco/GO-LTR-prediction ."

For example, for IR measured at 12:55:01 the filename is: IR_Sauna_test_meas_2023_03_30T12_55_01_0300 The dataset is divided into two files, with IRs collected with 1-s and 2-s sweeps kept separately. Temperature_humidity_sauna_30_03_2023_upload.xslx contains the temperature and humidity data for the 7 sensors sauna.png contains a diagram showing the positions of microphones. loudspeaker, and the thermohygrometers. The dimensions along the Z-axis are: total height of the sauna 2.50m, loudspeaker 1.72m, near-field microphone: 1.67m, far-field microphone 1.95m, sensor 1: 0.69m, sensor 2: 1.52m, sensor 3: 1.02m, sensor 4: 0.68m, sensor 5: 1.35m, sensor 6: 1.59m, sensor 7: 1.01m. sauna_photo.png shows a photo of the measured sauna."

"en": "A scoping review was performed to quantify concepts covered in the scientific literature relating to water conflict in a changing climate. (\"Screening_review\") An example Excel sheet on how to structure papers for screening using the MATLAB code. (\"Example_screening\") All searches were using Scopus and performed 9 Jan 2024. Search terms used were: (“climate change” OR “global warming” OR “environmental change”) AND (conflict OR dispute) AND (water OR hydrology) (conflict OR dispute) AND hydroclimat* (“water conflict” OR “water dispute”) AND (precipitation OR temperature OR drought) (conflict OR dispute) AND “climate change” hydropolitic* “water conflict” OR “water dispute” The final publication selection for the scoping review was made based on four criteria, all of which needed to be fulfilled for each selected study: i) the study is considering water-related conflicts (conflicts directly or indirectly related to freshwater aspects, such as water scarcity or lack of access to water); ii) the study considers the water-related conflict(s) in a climate change context (directly or indirectly related to climate change, including direct impact of climate change adaptation measures); iii) the study addresses factors relating to a previous or ongoing act of conflict (violent or non-violent) and not just potential conflicts or conflict mitigation measures, for example for future water resource decline. Relevance based on these criteria was first evaluated by reading the abstracts and the full text was examined only when further clarification on the relevance of a study was needed. For our analysis, we created categories that bring together several similar words around the same broader concepts. For example, the category ‘governance’ includes the words policy, politic\\w*, polici\\w*, democra\\w*, govern\\w*, supreme court, minist\\w*, and federal (for all concept categories, see the uploaded file). The different categories were further grouped together into category groups: political, livelihoods and industry, climate change, conflict, cooperation, and scale. Results will be found in the open-source article after publication and then the DOI and reference to that article will be added here."

"en": "Abstract Background COVID-19 has had wide-reaching effects on healthcare services beyond the direct treatment of the pandemic. Most current studies have reported changes in realised service usage, but the dynamics of how patients engage with healthcare services are less well understood. We analysed the effects of COVID-19 on healthcare bookings and cancellations for various service channels between January 2020 and July 2021. Methods Our data includes 7.3 million bookings, 11.0 million available appointments, and 405.1 thousand cancellations by 900.6 thousand individual patients between the ages of 18 and 65 years. The data were collected from electronic health record data, including laboratory and imaging services as well as inpatient stays, between January 2017 and July 2021. The patients were Finnish private and occupational healthcare customers in the capital region of Finland. We fitted an autoregressive moving average (ARIMA) model on data between 2017 and 2019 to predict the expected numbers of bookings, available appointments, and cancellations, which were compared to observed time series data between 2020 and 2021. Results Utilisation of physical, in-person primary care physician appointments decreased by up to 50% during the first 18 months of the pandemic. At the same time, digital care channels experienced a rapid, multi-fold increase in service usage. Simultaneously, the number of bookings for laboratory and imaging services decreased by 50% below the pre-pandemic projections. The number of specialist and hospital service bookings remained at the predicted level during the study period. Cancellations for most health services increased sharply by up to three times the pre-COVID levels during the first weeks of the pandemic but returned to the pre-pandemic levels for the rest of the study period. Conclusions The reduction in in-person appointments and the increase in the utilisation of digital services was likely a contributing factor in the decrease of the utilisation of diagnostic and imaging services throughout the study period. Utilisation of specialist care and hospital services were not affected. Cancellations contributed to the changes in service utilisation only during the first weeks of the pandemic."
