"fi": "Aineisto sisältää osallistujien vastaukset kokeellisen psykologian tehtäviin. Aineisto on kerätty kokeellisen psykologian tutkimuksessa, jossa tutkittiin itseen liittyvän tiedonkäsittelyn ja katseen suunnan tulkitsemisen yhteyttä. Aineistossa on yhdistettynä alkuperäiseen kokeeseen vuonna 2021 osallistuneiden ja toisintokokeeseen vuonna 2022 osallistuneiden vastaukset. Aineistossa on osallistujien vastaukset kolmeen tehtävään. Ensimmäisessä tehtävässä vastaajia pyydettiin kirjoittamaan kolmeen kysymykseen kuhunkin vähintään viidellä lauseella joko itsestään tai muista ihmisistä riippuen vastaajaryhmästä. Toisessa tehtävässä vastaajien piti arvioida, katsovatko esitetyt kasvokuvat suoraan heitä kohti. Kolmannessa tehtävässä vastaajien piti täydentää lauseita heistä sopivimmalla persoonapronominilla. Kunkin tehtävän välissä vastaajat vastasivat yhteen tarkkaavaisuutta mittaavaan kysymykseen. Alkuperäisessä kokeessa osallistujat vastasivat kaikkiin kolmeen tehtävään ja toisintokokeessa vain ensimmäiseen ja kolmanteen tehtävään. Taustamuuttujina aineistossa ovat sukupuoli, ikä ja koulutus vuosina sekä tietoja vastaajan osallistumiseen käyttämästä tietokoneesta.",
"en": "The study investigated the relationship between self-referential thinking and cone of gaze (the range of gaze directions that are perceived as self-directed). The data were collected in a psychology experiment. The dataset combines the data from participants who participated in the original experiment in 2021 and participants who participated in the replication of the experiment in 2022. The data include the participants' responses to three tasks during the experiment. In the first task, the participants were asked to write at least five sentences on each of three questions, either about themselves or about other people, depending on the participant group that they belonged to. In the second task, the participants were asked to judge whether the avatar faces presented on the computer screen looked directly at them or not. In the third task, the participants had to complete 20 sentences with the most appropriate personal pronoun. Between each task, the participants answered an attention check trial which included one question. In the original experiment, the participants completed all three tasks and in the second replication experiment the participants only completed the first and third tasks. Background variables included the participant's gender, age, years of full-time education, and information about the computer used to complete the experiment."

"fi": "Nuorisobarometrin 2020 pääteemoja ovat sosiaali- ja terveyspalveluiden saavutettavuus sekä niiden käyttöön liittyvät kokemukset. Aluksi vastaajilta kysyttiin, millaiseksi he kokevat nykyisen kotikuntansa asua. Seuraavaksi kartoitettiin, millaisia sosiaali- ja terveyspalveluita he olivat viimeisen 12 kuukauden aikana käyttäneet ja kuinka monta kertaa. Kiinnostuneita oltiin myös siitä, kokivatko vastaajat saaneensa riittävästi tarvitsemaansa apua ja millaisia kohtaamisia heillä oli ollut henkilökunnan kanssa. Saavutettavuuteen liittyen heiltä tiedusteltiin myös, pääsivätkö he palveluun nopeasti, selitettiinkö asiat heille ymmärrettävästi, oliko hoitopaikka millaisen matkan päässä, vaikeuttiko oma taloudellinen tilanne hoidon saamista ja kohdistuiko heihin ennakkoluuloja tai syrjintää. Vastaajia pyydettiin kertomaan myös näkemyksiään liittyen sosiaali- ja terveyspalveluiden toimintaan Suomessa. Kysymyksillä selvitettiin, luottivatko vastaajat saavansa tarvitsemaansa palvelua ja ammattimaista hoitoa. Lisäksi kysyttiin, kokivatko he sosiaali- ja terveyspalveluiden lisäävän yhteiskunnallista tasavertaisuutta ja oikeudenmukaisuutta ja kuinka suuri vastuu suomalaisten hyvinvoinnista heidän mielestään milläkin toimijalla kuuluisi olla. Kiinnostuneita oltiin myös vastaajien kokemuksista liittyen sähköisten sosiaali- ja terveydenhuollon palveluiden käyttöön. Lopuksi aineistossa pyrittiin selvittämään vastaajien kokemuksia omasta hyvinvoinnistaan ja arkisesta elämästään. Taustamuuttujina aineistossa ovat vastaajan sukupuoli, ikä, asuinpaikka, terveydentila, toimeentulo, pääasiallinen toiminta, opiskelu, koulutustaso, kotitalouden muoto sekä kokemus vähemmistöön kuulumisesta.",

Next, they were asked which social and health services (e.g. student health services, mental health services, child protection services, services for people with disabilities) they had used in the last 12 months, how many times they had used the services, whether their access to the services had been sufficient for their needs, and whether they had received the help they needed. Use of other services (e.g. youth services, libraries, guided leisure time activities) in the municipality were also surveyed. User experiences with different social and health services were charted by asking the respondents whether they agreed or disagreed with a series of statements (e.g. the staff treated me with respect, I was able to access the services quickly, my financial situation made it difficult to access care, I experienced discrimination or prejudice, matters related to my care were explained to me clearly, the distance to the place of care was inconvenient). Views on the operation of social and health services in Finland were investigated with questions on whether the respondents felt that social and health services worked well, whether they trusted the expertise of staff, and whether they felt that social and health services contributed to equality and justice. Opinions on and experiences with online social and health services were surveyed by, for example, asking the respondents whether they had difficulty accessing online services, whether they had used online social and health services, whether the services they needed were available online, and whether they had access to an internet connection or a smart phone. The respondents' views on how much responsibility different sectors and groups (e.g. the state, municipalities, the church and other religious communities, businesses, family and relatives) had for the well-being of Finnish people were charted. On the topics of well-being and everyday life, the respondents were, for example, asked whether they felt that their daily actions were meaningful, whether they felt that they were in control of their lives, and whether they felt that it was best to trust no one. The respondents were also asked how connected they felt to Finnish society, the EU, Europe, and the global community. The impact of the respondents' financial situation on their every day lives was investigated with questions on whether they had ever been unable to buy necessary items due to a lack of money, whether they had ever been bullied due to a lack of money, and whether they had ever had to quit a hobby due to a lack of money. Finally, the respondents' satisfaction with their leisure time, relationships, state of health, physical fitness, and appearance was surveyed. Background variables included, among others, the respondent's gender, age, region of residence, state of health, type of educational institution currently attended, education level, financial situation, economic activity, household composition, whether the R identified as a member of a minority and if yes, which minority, and the highest education level attained the R's mother, father, and spouse/partner."

"en": "During the KRIIT project, material analyses conducted in collaboration with companies are stored in this open material dataset. The aim of the dataset is to make visible the elemental compositions of waste or by-products received from partner companies so that they can be utilized as new raw materials (critical valuable materials) or responsibly processed with full awareness (hazardous substances). The materials analyzed for the database have been provided by ALVA Oy, LAPA Recycling Oy, Tramel Oy, and WasteWise Oy. Elemental analyses of the materials have been performed using ICP-OES and WDXRF equipment. More detailed analysis methods and results are presented in the data package.",

"en": "This dataset contains raw image and audio data collected by team Sweden in the LIFEPLAN project. Researchers collected data at 15 sites in Sweden. Sites were arranged in a nested design. We deployed first 5 and later 3 AudioMoth recorders and camera traps per site. Data collection started in 2021 and ended in 2025. Data were collected year-round as far as possible. This dataset contains 1584.57 GB and 693973 files of image data, as well as 119281.62 GB and 17969713 files of audio data, which is equivalent to about 18777882 minutes of recording.\r\n\r\nLIFEPLAN project is described in detail in: Hardwick B, Kerdraon D, Rogers HMK, Raharinjanahary D, Rajoelison ET, Mononen T, et al. "en": "This dataset contains the observations of the Sun made with various radio-frequency instruments at the Aalto University Metsähovi Radio Observatory since 1978. The dataset is growing when new observations are added every month. The data are mostly raw data or output from the various measurement systems; calibration is left for the user. However, ready plots are available for most of the astronomically interesting observations.\n\nThis dataset contains:\n(i)\ttotal intensity maps of the solar disk measured with the 14-metre radio telescope at 37 GHz since 1978 (data from years 1978-1987 are digitized from contour plot printouts and converted to match the modern data format),\n(ii)\ttotal intensity of the Sun at 11.2 GHz, measured continuously with a 1.8-metre radio telescope since 2001,\n(iii)\tother data such as total irradiance / pyrheliometer data, telescope pointing data, weather parameters, and other auxiliary information."

Lisäksi tiedusteltiin tieteen ja tutkimuksen kehittymisestä sekä tieteen kyvystä ratkaista yhteiskunnallisia ongelmia. Vastaajilta kysyttiin myös tieteen ja yhteiskunnan sekä politiikan suhteesta sekä edelleen tieteen suhteesta arkielämään ja omiin henkilökohtaisiin näkemyksiin. Lopuksi vastaajia pyydettiin vastaamaan vielä rokotuksia koskeviin väittämiin sekä tiedusteltiin onko koronaepidemia vaikuttanut luottamukseen eri yhteiskunnallisia tahoja kohtaan. "en": "The survey studied Finnish public opinion on science and scientific-technical development. The study was commissioned by Tieteen tiedotus ry. First, the respondents were asked how interested they were in several topics (e.g. culture and art, sports, environment, politics, technology). The importance of various sources of information on science and scientific development was also surveyed (e.g. newspapers, TV, radio, scientific publications, the internet, social media, seminars and lectures). Next, trust in various institutions (e.g. the Parliament, the church, trade unions, the media, armed forces, universities, the European) and science and research in general was examined. The respondents were also asked to name a Finnish researcher who they felt was trustworthy. The respondents' views on how they expected scientific and technological developments to change people's daily lives in the next 10-20 years were investigated. The respondents were also asked whether they thought that science can solve certain problems or considerably help mankind (e.g. find a cure for cancer, raise the standard of living, stop or delay climate change, eradicate hunger from the world, decrease unemployment, promote peace and democracy). Additionally, opinions on how well certain aspects of science (e.g. quality of research, level of technology and medicine, ethical issues, science funding, usefulness of science to society and everyday life) have been taken care of in Finland were charted. The survey also carried various attitudinal statements on science and research. The statements covered, for instance, relationships between religion and science, science funding, alternative medicine, researchers' involvement in politics, use of scientific information in political decision-making, impact of scientific and technological development, climate change, and nutrition. Finally, the respondents' opinions on immunization were charted with questions relating to, for example, the effectiveness and safety of vaccines, the reliability of information given by authorities, and the right to choose or decline immunization for themselves or their children. The impact that the coronavirus pandemic had had on the respondents' trust in various bodies (e.g. researchers, journalists, health officials, influencers who criticise health officials) was also surveyed. Background variables included the respondent's gender, age group, number of inhabitants in municipality of residence, NUTS3 region of residence, type of accommodation, household characteristics, basic and vocational education, field of education, statistical grouping of municipalities, political party preference, perceived social class, economic activity and occupational status, and household's annual income."

Erikseen kysyttiin kuinka kiinnostunut vastaaja on muun muassa lääketieteen kehityksestä, bioteknologiasta, avaruustutkimuksesta, historiantutkimuksesta ja koulutus- ja tiedepolitiikasta. Edelleen kysyttiin mitkä tietolähteet ovat vastaajalle tärkeimpiä tiedettä ja tutkimusta koskevan tiedon välittäjiä. Vastaajia pyydettiin myös nimeämään yksi nykyisin toimiva ja yksi aikaisemmin toiminut merkittävä suomalainen tieteenharjoittaja, sekä suomalaisen tieteen saavutus tai keksintö. Tämän jälkeen heitä pyydettiin arvioimaan, kuinka paljon he luottavat erilaisiin yhteiskunnallisiin instituutioihin, kuinka hyvin erilaiset tieteeseen ja tutkimukseen liittyvät asiat ovat maassamme nykyisin, ja millaisiksi he näkevät tieteen mahdollisuudet ratkaista erilaisia ongelmia tai tuoda parannusta ihmisten elämään. "en": "The survey studied Finnish public opinion and expectations on scientific information, ethics of science, the advantages and disadvantages of scientific and technological development, and various other aspects of science and research. The respondents rated their interest in following certain subjects in the media (e.g. culture and arts, sports, economy, politics), and interest in scientific and research issues (e.g. science generally, medicine, information technology, space research). The importance of various information sources on science and scientific development were evaluated. The respondents were asked to name one present-day and one former prominent Finnish scientist, as well as an invention or accomplishment of Finnish science. The survey charted trust in various institutions: Parliament, the church, trade unions, the media, armed forces, universities, the European Union, etc. Views were probed on how well certain aspects of science (e.g. scientific independence, ethical issues, science funding, usefulness of science to everyday life) have been taken care of in Finland. The respondents were asked whether science can solve certain problems or help mankind (e.g. find a cure for AIDS or cancer, raise the standard of living, eradicate hunger from the world, promote peace). The survey carried a set of attitudinal statements on science and research. Statements covered, for example, brain drain and brain gain, scientific information in the media, alternative medicine, relationship between science and religion, vivisection, genetic engineering, use of scientific information in decision-making, science funding and its allocation, science policy, impact of scientific and technological development, climate change, and ethical issues. Erikseen kysyttiin kuinka kiinnostunut vastaaja on muun muassa lääketieteen kehityksestä, bioteknologiasta, avaruustutkimuksesta, historiantutkimuksesta ja koulutus- ja tiedepolitiikasta. Edelleen kysyttiin mitkä tietolähteet ovat vastaajalle tärkeimpiä tiedettä ja tutkimusta koskevan tiedon välittäjiä. Vastaajia pyydettiin myös nimeämään yksi nykyisin toimiva ja yksi aikaisemmin toiminut merkittävä suomalainen tieteenharjoittaja ja arvioimaan kuinka paljon he luottavat erilaisiin yhteiskunnallisiin instituutioihin, kuinka hyvin erilaiset tieteeseen ja tutkimukseen liittyvät asiat ovat maassamme nykyisin ja millaisiksi he näkevät tieteen mahdollisuudet ratkaista erilaisia ongelmia tai tuoda parannusta ihmisten elämään. Lopuksi vastaajalle esitettiin useita väittämiä tieteestä ja tutkimuksesta. Väittämät käsittelivät erilaisia uskomuksia, tieteen tehokkuutta, tieteen ja uskonnon suhdetta, eläinkokeita, geeniteknologiaa, tekniikan kehitystä, tutkimusvarojen kohdentamista, tieteellisen tiedon käyttöä poliittisessa päätöksenteossa, ufo-havaintoja, telepatiaa, homeopatiaa, korkeasti koulutettujen aivovientiä ja -tuontia sekä tiedeyhteisön toiminnan vastuullisuutta. "en": "The survey studied Finnish public opinion and expectations on scientific information, ethics of science, the advantages and disadvantages of scientific and technological development, and various other aspects of science and research. Respondents rated their interest in following certain subjects in the media (e.g. culture and arts, sports, economy, politics), and interest in scientific and research issues (e.g. science generally, medicine, information technology, space research). Importance of various information sources on science and scientific development were evaluated. Respondents were asked to name one present-day and one former prominent Finnish scientist. The survey charted trust in institutions: Parliament, the Church, trade unions, the media, armed forces, universities, the European Union etc. Views were probed on how well certain aspects of science have been taken care of in Finland like, for example, scientific independence, ethical issues, science funding, usefulness of science to everyday life. Respondents were asked whether science can solve certain problems or help mankind (e.g. find a cure for AIDS or cancer, raise the standard of living, eradicate hunger from the world, promote peace). The survey carried a set of attitudinal statements on science and research. Statements covered, for example, brain drain and brain gain, scientific information in the media, alternative medicine, relationship between science and religion, vivisection, genetic engineering, use of scientific information in decision-making, science funding and its allocation, science policy, impact of scientific and technological development, climate change, and ethical issues. Background variables included respondent's gender, age group, size of the municipality of residence, region of residence, basic and vocational education, field of study, and occupational group."

Tämän jälkeen kysyttiin, kuinka paljon vastaajat luottivat yhteiskunnallisiin instituutioihin ja tiedusteltiin, kuinka hyvin tai huonosti erilaiset tieteeseen ja tutkimukseen liittyvät asiat olivat. Tiedusteltiin myös, millaisiksi vastaajat näkivät tieteen mahdollisuudet ratkaista joitakin asioita tai tuoda merkittävää apua yhteiskunnalle. First, the respondents were asked how actively they followed news on various topics (e.g. culture and art, sports, environment, politics) in mass media. Interest in various topics related to science and research (e.g. scientific and medical development, environmental research, history and culture research, education sciences) was also charted. The respondents were also asked whether they thought that science can solve certain problems or considerably help mankind (e.g. find a cure for cancer, raise the standard of living, stop or delay climate change, eradicate hunger from the world, decrease unemployment, promote peace and democracy). The survey also carried various attitudinal statements on science and research. The statements covered, for instance, relationships between religion and science, animal testing, science funding, alternative medicine, scientific information in the media, co-operation between universities and businesses, use of scientific information in decision-making, impact of scientific and technological development, climate change, competition in science, artificial intelligence, and nutrition. Finally, the respondents' opinions on immunization were charted with questions relating to, for example, the effectiveness and safety of vaccines, the reliability of information given by authorities, and the right to choose or decline immunization for themselves or their children. Background variables included, among others, gender, age, number of inhabitants in municipality of residence, NUTS3 region of residence, level and field of education, occupational status and political party preference."

Lisäksi kysyttiin kuinka tärkeitä eri tietolähteet ovat tiedettä ja tutkimusta koskevan tiedon välittäjänä. Vastaajilta kysyttiin myös pystyvätkö he mainitsemaan jonkin merkittävän suomalaisen tieteenharjoittajan tai suomalaisen tieteen saavutuksen tai keksinnön. Vastaajia pyydettiin kertomaan kuinka paljon he luottavat lueteltuihin yhteiskunnallisiin instituutioihin. Lisäksi pyydettiin vastausta siihen, kuinka hyvin tietyt tieteeseen ja tutkimukseen liittyvät asiat ovat Suomessa nykyisin. Tiedusteltiin myös millaisina vastaajat näkivät tieteen mahdollisuudet tuoda merkittävää apua mm. joihinkin sairauksiin, hyvinvointiin, elinikään, ilmastonmuutokseen ja energiantuotantoon. Lopuksi esitettiin useita tiedettä ja tutkimusta koskevia väittämiä sekä pyydettiin vastaajien mielipidettä julkisessa keskustelussa esitettyihin tiedettä koskeviin näkemyksiin. Taustamuuttujia olivat mm. sukupuoli, ikäryhmä, asuinkunnan koko, asuinmaakunta sekä perus- ja ammatillinen koulutus.",
"en": "The survey studied Finnish public opinion on science and research, scientific-technical development, and sources of scientific information. The respondents rated their interest in following various subject areas in the media (e.g. culture and arts, sports, economy, politics, science and research), and interest in specific scientific and research issues (e.g. new scientific innovations, medicine, information technology, space research or history research). The importance of various sources of information on science and scientific development was surveyed. The respondents were asked to name one present-day and one former prominent Finnish scientist, as well as an invention or accomplishment of Finnish science. One question explored trust in various institutions: Parliament, the church, trade unions, the media, armed forces, universities, the European Union, main research funders etc. Views were probed on how well certain aspects of science (for instance, quality of research, ethical issues, science funding, usefulness of science to everyday life) have been taken care of in Finland. The respondents were asked whether science can solve certain problems or help mankind (e.g. find a cure for cancer, raise the standard of living, eradicate hunger from the world, promote peace, happiness, security or democracy, decrease unemployment). The survey also carried a number of attitudinal statements on science and research. Statements covered, for instance, co-operation between universities and businesses, scientific information in the media, alternative medicine, relationship between science and religion, vivisection, genetic engineering, use of scientific information in decision-making, science funding and its allocation, science and research policy, impact of scientific and technological development, university policy, arts and humanities, ethics. Background variables included the respondent's gender, age group, size of the municipality of residence, region, basic and vocational education, field of education, economic activity and occupational status."

Uutena kysymyksenä edellisiin tiedebarometreihin verrattuna selvitettiin ihmisten mielipiteitä koulutusleikkauksista. Lisäksi kysymykseen 9 on lisätty sosiaalista mediaa koskevia väitteitä. Aluksi tutkittavilta kysyttiin, minkä aihepiirien asioista he ovat kiinnostuneet. Kysymystä tarkennettiin seuraavaksi koskemaan lähemmin tiedettä ja tutkimusta, ja aiheina olivat esimerkiksi tieteen ja lääketieteen kehitys, geenitutkimus, historiantutkimus, rahoitus ja suomalaisen tieteen kansainvälinen asema ja menestys. Vastaajilta kysyttiin myös, minkä joukkoviestimien tai tiedonlähteiden (esimerkiksi sanomalehdet, tiedelehdet ja tieteelliset julkaisut) kautta he saavat tietoa tieteestä ja tutkimuksesta. Vastaajia pyydettiin myös nimeämään yksi nykyisin toimiva ja yksi aikaisemmin toiminut merkittävä suomalainen tieteenharjoittaja, sekä suomalaisen tieteen saavutus tai keksintö. Tämän jälkeen vastaajia pyydettiin arvioimaan, kuinka paljon he luottavat erilaisiin yhteiskunnallisiin instituutioihin, kuten eduskuntaan, tiedotusvälineisiin, tiedeyhteisöön ja korkeakouluihin. Heiltä kysyttiin myös sitä, kuinka hyvin erilaiset tieteeseen ja tutkimukseen liittyvät asiat ovat maassamme nykyisin, ja millaisiksi he arvioivat tieteen mahdollisuudet ratkaista erilaisia ongelmia. Vastaajille esitettiin useita väittämiä tieteestä ja tutkimuksesta. Lopuksi kysyttiin vielä mielipidettä siitä, ovatko koulutusleikkaukset hyväksi suomalaiselle koulutukselle ja osaamiselle vai eivät. "en": "The survey studied Finnish public opinion on science and research, scientific-technical development, and sources of scientific information. The 2016 version also measured opinions on education budget cuts introduced by the Finnish government. The respondents rated their interest in following various subject areas in the media (e.g. culture and arts, sports, economy, politics, science and research), and interest in specific scientific and research issues (e.g. new scientific innovations, medicine, information technology, space research or history research). The importance of various sources of information on science and scientific development was surveyed. The respondents were asked to name one present-day and one former prominent Finnish scientist, as well as an invention or accomplishment of Finnish science. One question explored trust in various institutions: the Parliament, the church, trade unions, the media, armed forces, universities, the European Union, main research funders etc. Views were probed on how well certain aspects of science (for instance, quality of research, ethical issues, science funding, usefulness of science to everyday life) have been taken care of in Finland. The respondents were also asked whether science can solve certain problems or help mankind (e.g. find a cure for cancer, raise the standard of living, eradicate hunger from the world, promote peace, happiness, security or democracy, decrease unemployment). The survey also carried various of attitudinal statements on science and research. Statements covered, for instance, co-operation between universities and businesses, scientific information in the media, alternative medicine, relationship between science and religion, vivisection, genetic engineering, use of scientific information in decision-making, science funding and its allocation, science and research policy, impact of scientific and technological development, university policy, arts and humanities, ethics, and science in social media. The 2016 survey also introduced a new question that investigated the respondents' views on education budget cuts introduced by the Finnish government and the effect of these cuts on science. Background variables included the respondent's gender, age group, size of the municipality of residence, region, basic and vocational education, field of education, and economic activity and occupational status."
