"en": "This dataset contains comprehensive pharmacokinetic data and related experimental results for the evaluation of two cembranoid diterpenoids, Anisomelic Acid (AA) and Ovatodiolide (OVT). These compounds, derived from Anisomeles malabarica, were analyzed for their solubility, stability, metabolic profiles, permeability, and acute toxicity in vivo. The data includes kinetic solubility, liver microsomal stability assays, MDR1-MDCK II permeability studies, in vivo pharmacokinetics, and metabolite identification. \r\n\r\nThis dataset supports the findings of the manuscript titled:\r\n\"Pharmacokinetic Profiling of Naturally Derived Cembranoids: Anisomelic Acid and Ovatodiolide.\"\r\n\r\nKey components:\r\n\r\nKinetic solubility and stability data.\r\nBi-directional permeability results.\r\nLiver microsomal metabolic stability profiles.\r\nIn vivo pharmacokinetic parameters (IV and TD routes).\r\nMetabolite identification through LC-MS/MS.\r\n\r\nEthical Compliance:\r\nAll experiments were conducted in accordance with EU Directive 2010/63/EU and Finnish national guidelines, with ethical approvals (license numbers: ESAVI/10594/2022 and ESAVI/35183/2022).\r\n\r\nKeywords:\r\nAnisomelic Acid, Ovatodiolide, Pharmacokinetics, Solubility, Metabolism, Toxicity, MDR1, LC-MS/MS, Oncology."

"en": "Raw multibeam bathymetry data were collected aboard RV MARIA S. MERIAN during cruise MSM110 using a Kongsberg EM 122 multibeam echosounder. The expedition took place during 07.08.2022 – 29.08.2022 from Reykjavik to Reykjavik (Iceland) in the Northern Atlantic Ocean. Data were recorded in the EEZs of Greenland and Iceland and outside. MSM110 focused on improving our understanding of anthropogenic changes in the biological production and diversity in the Arctic marine regions, and their effects on the ecosystem services as part of the Horizon 2020 project ECOTIP. Sound velocity profiles (SVP) were applied on the data for calibration. Please see environmental data and the cruise report for details. The data are unprocessed and can therefore contain incorrect depth measurements (artifacts) if not further processed. Note that refraction errors may occur when no proper SVP is applied. Acquisition and provision of the data are part of the DAM Underway Project and are according to the FAIR principles.\r\n\r\nThese data should not be used for navigational purposes."

"en": "This repository contains a Pix2Pix deep learning model designed to generate synthetic nuclear staining from brightfield images of circulating immune cells. The model was trained on a dataset of 226 paired brightfield and fluorescent microscopy images, which were augmented computationally by a factor of 8 to enhance model performance. "en": "This dataset accompanies the manuscript “Biogeographical diversity meets functional similarity: Trait convergence in benthic fauna from the Arctic ice-covered North to ice-free South” (under review). It provides the biological, environmental, and trait data used to analyse benthic infaunal communities along the West Greenland shelf.\r\n\r\nStudy overview\r\n\r\nMacrobenthic invertebrates were collected from nine stations between 64° N (Nuuk) and 71° N (Disko Bay) on board R/V Dana during the ECOTIP project (Horizon 2020). Samples were taken using a standard 0.1 m² box corer, sieved (1 mm mesh), and preserved in ethanol for taxonomic identification. Species densities were standardised to individuals m⁻². Environmental data include station position, depth, sediment characteristics (grain size fractions, organic and carbonate content, C / N ratios), and bottom-water properties (temperature, salinity, oxygen, density, and current speed). Sea-ice concentration and current velocity were derived from Copernicus Marine Service datasets, and CTD variables were processed in Ocean Data View.\r\n\r\nBiogeographic and trait data\r\n\r\nSpecies were assigned to Arctic, Boreal, or Cosmopolitan biogeographic groups using a combination of occurrence records (GBIF, OBIS, WoRMS) and trait information (Arctic Traits Database). A fuzzy-coded trait matrix was compiled for eight categorical traits related to resource and dispersal strategies.\r\n\r\nFiles included\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWG_mf_classification.csv – WoRMS-based taxonomic classification for all taxa.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nDANA_Env_Station.csv – Station-averaged environmental dataset (physical, chemical, and sediment variables).\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWG_mf_count_station.csv – Mean species abundance matrix per station.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWG_mf_count.csv – Species abundance matrix including replicate samples.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWG_traits.csv – Trait scores (fuzzy-coded) for all taxa used in analyses.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWG_sti_trends.csv – Intermediate dataset created during species biogeographic affiliation procedures.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nDANA_Env.csv – Environmental dataset including replicate samples.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nSp.Arctic.csv, Sp.Boreal.csv, Sp.Cosmopolitan.csv – Subsets of the total community abundance matrix by biogeographic group.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nUsage\r\n\r\nAll data are provided in CSV format and are compatible with R (v. 4.3 or later). The dataset supports analyses of biogeographic composition, β-diversity, and functional trait structure of benthic infauna across Arctic–sub-Arctic gradients."

"en": "The SODD dataset consists of 3168 images of underwater objects consistent with underwater installations, including the following categories: propeller, pipe, pipe_type2, net, red_fin, qr_codes. The total number of annotated objects are 8934, with the following distribution among categories: propeller (1092 instances), pipe (2008), pipe_type2 (886), red_fin (760), net (1556), qr_codes (2632). \r\nThe images were acquired from a collection of videos (mp4 format, with HD resolution, and 16 FPS). The videos were acquired in an indoor pool using a Blue Robotics low-light USB camera. "en": "We studied swimming activity in the calanoid copepod Pseudocalanus acuspes in response to near- future ocean acidification. Water and copepods were sampled from ten mesocosms deployed on the Swedish west coast. The experiments were conducted on animals reared in the mesocosms for 2 months during spring. Copepods were filmed after long-term (chronic) high-CO2, and after 20 h acute exposure to CO2.This dataset is included in the OA-ICC data compilation maintained in the framework of the IAEA Ocean Acidification International Coordination Centre (see https://oa-icc.ipsl.fr) Original data were downloaded from the PANGAEA dataset (see Source). In order to allow full comparability with other ocean acidification data sets, the R package seacarb (Gattuso et al, 2024) was used to compute a complete and consistent set of carbonate system variables, as described by Nisumaa et al. (2010). In this dataset the original values were archived in addition with the recalculated parameters (see related PI). The date of carbonate chemistry calculation by seacarb is 2024-11-14.\r\n\r\nThe copepods were filmed for 10 minutes with a Viewpoint Zebralab behaviour analysis system with a dragonfly firewire camera. A number of activities (unitless) were automatically quantified in real-time by the Zebralab software: total activity, number of stops, freeze duration, medium speed count, medium speed duration, burst speed counts, and burst speed duration. The behaviours were averaged for every minute of the experiment. The total swimming activity is the total change of pixels over time."

"en": "The level of engagement with climate change mitigation and adaptation varies widely among municipalities. We examined the commitments, plans and ambitions related to climate change mitigation and adaptation in 209 German municipalities and scored them using an updated assessment framework. The resulting dataset includes details of the ranking approach and the scores for each of the three dimensions (i.e., commitment, plans and ambitions) of climate change mitigation and adaptation, as well as the total score for both policy fields and the combined climate policy score. Furthermore, it provides information on all 209 municipalities, including their size, location within a federal state, county affiliation and role in Germany's 'central places' system.\r\n\r\nThis work was supported by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF, 01LR2014A and 01LR2014B) and the European Union NextGenerationEU."

"en": "This survey examined opinions on health policy and health services in Finland as well as the respondents' own state of health. Additionally, the survey charted the handling of epidemics and other current topics of discussion in society. Questions relating to health and health services surveyed the respondents' satisfaction with life and trust in the Finnish health care system. The respondents were asked how fair or unfair they thought it was that people with better income could buy better healthcare, the extent to which they agreed with statements relating to the health care system, and how willing they would be to pay more taxes to improve the health care in Finland. The respondents were asked about public funding of different health measures, who should get treatment, and whether they thought getting access to health care was easier for some groups over others. Views were probed on the causes of severe health problems, alternative medicine and trust in doctors. The respondents were asked whether they had used the internet to look for health or medical information, and if yes, which topics they had researched (vaccinations, anxiety, healthy lifestyle). The respondents' opinions on the usefulness and reliability of information found on the internet were surveyed, and their views on the safety of vaccinations were charted. Next, the respondents were asked about (mental and physical) symptoms experienced, treatment received, reasons for forgoing medical treatment, and the probability of receiving the best possible treatment. Satisfaction with the health care system as well as the latest treatment when visiting a doctor and an alternative health care practitioner were investigated. Questions covered smoking and drinking habits, exercise and nutrition, perceived status of health, chronic illnesses and conditions, and height and weight. Other questions investigated what kind of health insurance the respondents had and who they thought should primarily provide health care services for the sick and elderly in Finland (e.g. government, private companies, family). Finally, the respondents' opinions on issues relating to the COVID-19 pandemic were examined. The respondents were asked whether they thought Finnish authorities should have the right to, for example, shut down businesses or demand that people stay at home at times of severe epidemics, as well as whether their trust in the health care system and the government had increased or decreased based on how the pandemic had been handled in Finland. Questions also surveyed how the respondents' work activity, income and social life had been affected by the pandemic. Background variables included, among others, the respondent's gender, age, level and length of education, status in employment, occupation, economic activity, marital status, spouse's status of employment and occupation, religious affiliation, political party choice in the previous parliamentary elections, household composition, monthly gross income, monthly gross household income and degree of urbanisation.",
"fi": "Tutkimuksessa käsiteltiin terveyteen ja yleiseen suomalaiseen terveydenhuoltoon liittyviä kysymyksiä. Lisäksi kysymykset käsittelivät epidemioiden hoitoa sekä yhteiskunnalliseen keskusteluun liittyviä aiheita. Terveyttä ja terveydenhuoltoa koskien vastaajille esitettiin väittämiä terveydenhoitojärjestelmästä, terveyspalveluista, terveysongelmista, vaihtoehtohoidoista ja lääkäreistä. Vastaajilta tiedusteltiin myös koetusta onnellisuudesta sekä luottamuksesta terveydenhuoltojärjestelmään. Kysyttiin myös onko oikeudenmukaista, että suurituloiset voivat ostaa paremman terveydenhoidon kuin pienituloiset. Tiedusteltiin halukkuudesta maksaa korkeampia veroja kaikkien suomalaisten terveydenhoidon parantamiseksi sekä pyydettiin mielipidettä joidenkin terveydenhoitoon liittyvien asioiden rahoittamisesta julkisin varoin. Vastaajilta kysyttiin myös, ovatko he käyttäneet internetiä terveyteen ja hyvinvointin liittyvään tiedonhakuun. Kysyttiin myös vastaajien kokemia terveysongelmia viimeisten neljän viikon ajalta sekä kuinka usein vastaaja on käynyt lääkärin tai vaihtoehtohoitoa tarjoavan henkilön vastaanotolla viimeksi kuluneiden 12 kuukauden aikana. Lisäksi samalta aikajaksolta haluttiin tietää, onko vastaaja jäänyt ilman tarvitsemaansa hoitoa ja kuinka todennäköisesti vastaaja saisi vakavaan sairauteen parasta mahdollista hoitoa haluamaltaan lääkäriltä. Kysyttiin myös tyytyväisyydestä Suomen terveydenhoitojärjestelmään yleensä sekä viimeksi saatuun hoitoon lääkärissä tai vaihtoehtohoidossa. Vastaajilta kysyttiin lisäksi tupakoinnista, liikunnasta, alkoholin nauttimisesta sekä hedelmien ja kasvisten syönnistä. Vastaajilta pyydettiin myös arviota omasta terveydentilasta ja kysyttiin, onko vastaajalla jokin pitkäaikaissairaus. Lopuksi tiedusteltiin vastaajan mielipidettä siihen, miten koronapandemiaa on hoidettu Suomessa, ja miten pandemia on vaikuttanut vastaajan ja hänen kotitaloutensa työllisyyteen ja taloudelliseen tilanteeseen. Taustamuuttujia olivat muun muassa sukupuoli, ikä, siviilisääty, koulutustaso ja koulutuksen pituus, nykyinen työmarkkina-asema, puolison nykyinen työmarkkina-asema, vastaajan ja puolison ammatti sekä perheen ja vastaajan tulot."

"en": "Mineral carbonation has gained attention as a technology for CO2 capture and utilization (CCU) in construction materials, including artificial aggregates. The synthesis of artificial aggregates by carbonation hardening using reactive mineral precursors is ineffective due to several factors, including densification during granulation, pore closure during carbonation, and ineffective CO2 diffusion into the granule. To improve the CO2 diffusion into a granule, a process of introducing pores using a templating agent (polyvinyl alcohol) and pore-forming agent (potassium persulfate) was developed to produce highly porous granules. The porous granules were carbonated in a CO2 reactor at CO2 partial pressure and temperature of 10 bar and 100 °C respectively. Thermogravimetric analysis coupled with optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy showed that CO2 penetrated the granule synthesized with 20% persulfate concentration and showed the highest uptake of CO2 of 44 mol%, aided by an interconnected pore network. Morphology and surface geometry of the pores in the granules were studied by fractal theory using the Frankel-Halsey-Hill (FHH) model with N2 adsorption–desorption isotherms. The granules were further enhanced by esterification of the polyvinyl alcohol with citric acid resulting in excellent thermal resistance and water stability. The granules were characterized for use as artificial lightweight aggregates after CO2 capture using strength, density, and water absorption tests. The optimum carbonated granules exhibited high crushing force and low density, and water absorption between 10 – 20%. The mechanical strength indicated that the granules could potentially be utilized as artificial lightweight aggregates. This study demonstrates a new process for synthesizing porous mineral–based absorbents for CO2 capture through the introduction of pores during granulation.\nThe database has all the data related to this study"

"en": "The management of rare earth element (REE) tailings poses unique challenges due to their chemical composition, fine particle size, and potential environmental risks. REEs are critical raw materials for renewable energy, electric vehicles, and digital technologies, and the European Union has identified them as strategic minerals given the high supply risk. With Europe developing new mining and processing projects targeting carbonatite and phosphate-hosted deposits, large volumes of REE tailings will be generated, underscoring the need to understand their geotechnical and environmental behaviour. This study integrates material characterization, laboratory testing, and numerical modelling to evaluate REE tailings within a tailings storage facility (TSF). Physico-chemical analysis showed carbonate dominance (ankerite 68.8 %, calcite 24.8 %), a specific gravity of 2.99, fine angular morphology, a BET surface area of ~16,600 cm²/g, and ~40 % LOI from carbonate decomposition. Bulk chemistry confirmed high CaO (58.2 %), Fe₂O₃ (17.4 %), and MgO (12.7 %), with minor REE oxides. TCLP leaching revealed measurable Zn (1.27 mg/kg), Cu (0.30 mg/kg), and Ni (0.06 mg/kg), highlighting environmental sensitivity. Triaxial tests showed that dry stacking mobilized higher strength (φ′ = 8.7–10.8° vs. 7.3–9.2° for paste) and lower compressibility (Cc ≈ 0.053 vs. 0.075), while paste stacking displayed higher unit weight and cohesion but stronger contractancy. Numerical modelling with PLAXIS 2D reproduced these behaviours, showing efficient stress transfer in dry stacking and stress redistribution with greater settlement in paste stacking. The novelty of this work lies in providing the first integrated framework that links mineralogy, chemistry, geomechanics, and modelling for REE tailings, offering a scientific basis for safer and more sustainable TSF design in Europe and globally.\nThe files contains all the dataset related to this study."
