"en": "MaskMVS is a method for depth estimation for unstructured multi-view image-pose pairs. In the plane-sweep procedure, the depth planes are sampled by histogram matching that ensures covering the depth range of interest. Unlike other plane-sweep methods, we do not rely on a cost metric to explicitly build the cost volume, but instead infer a multiplane mask representation which regularizes the learning. Compared to many previous approaches, we show that our method is lightweight and generalizes well without requiring excessive training."

"en": "We present a set of experiments to optimize the performance of a noninvasive thermometer based on proximity superconductivity. Current through a standard tunnel junction between an aluminum superconductor and a copper electrode is controlled by the strength of the proximity induced to this normal metal, which in turn is determined by the position of a direct superconducting contact from the tunnel junction. Several devices with different distances are tested. We develop a theoretical model based on Usadel equations and dynamic Coulomb blockade that reproduces the measured results and yields a tool to calibrate the thermometer and to optimize it further in future experiments. We also propose an analytic formula that reproduces the experimental data for a wide range of temperatures."

"en": "Data set of the linkages that water security has on other SDGs. The data are based on literature review and final data consists of 120 publications. The linkages are graded from -3 (cancelling) to +3 (indivisible) according Nilsson et al. classification. \r\n\r\nPrior to data collection, all the reviewers participated in training on SDGs and water security, and on review training before the work. Only papers with a link from water security to SDGs (not vice versa) were included. The resulting subset of 170 papers was then read and evaluated by all the authors independently, with a 10% random overlap on the papers (i.e. 17 of the papers were reviewed at least twice, by different people). During this process, another 50 papers were found to be irrelevant (e.g. due to full paper inaccessibility or questionnaire analysis with no inclusion of SDGs) and were therefore eliminated. The results are thus based on the 120 reviewed papers that we found to be suitable for the analysis. See the journal paper methods for more information, and Supplementary material for author bias analysis. \r\n\r\nThe list of paper ID's can be found rom the journal paper in One Earth. "en": "The Mapping Manuscript Migrations (MMM) project transformed three separate datasets into a unified knowledge graph. The source databases include\r\n\r\n- Schoenberg Database of Manuscripts from the Schoenberg Institute for Manuscript Studies,\r\n- Bibale database from the Institute for Research and History of Texts, and\r\n- Medieval Manuscripts in Oxford Libraries.\r\n\r\nThe Knowledge Graph has been created using the MMM data transformation pipeline. Composite Structures, 2021. 10.1016/j.compstruct.2021.114497\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWith the methodology developed and explained in the paper, the Python module https://saullocastro.github.io/dicpp/ is used to reconstruct the 3D imperfections of the entire shell.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nIn the paper, the naming convention translates as follows.\r\n\r\nCylinder name in the dataset <--> cylinder name in the paper:\r\n\r\nS1 <--> MAS2 <--> CAS4 <--> VAFW4S8 <--> VAFW8\r\n\r\nAll coordinates (x,y,z) and the imperfection amplitude (imp) are in millimeters.\r\n\r\nThe extracted topology of the cylinders for each circumferential position 0deg, 60deg, 120deg, 180deg, 240deg and 300deg are contained in the individual \".zip\" files for each measurement, e.g. \"S1-1-measurement-1.zip\". "en": "The purpose of this dataset is to supplement the data presented in our journal publication \" Empirical Evaluation of a 28 GHz Antenna Array on a 5G Mobile Phone Using a Body Phantom \" (see https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9424391).\r\n\r\nThis dataset contains the 3-D surface meshes of the numerical human body model and of the human body styrofoam phantom used in the above publication. The numerical human body model in the file numerical_human_body_model.stp was initially exported from MakeHuman (http://www.makehumancommunity.org) the actual body posture was then created with Blender 3D Creation Suite (https://www.blender.org) and this final body model was exported in .STP format. This .STP file was then imported into CST Studio Suite (http://www.cst.com) in order to simulate the 3-D realized-gain patterns of the mobile-phone antenna placed in the hand of the human body model. The dimensions of the in-house hexagonal human-body phantom used in the measurements is provided in the file styrofoam_structure_ hexagonal_body_phantom.stp, which describes the Styrofoam support structure of the hexagonal human body phantom without the skin material layer that is to be added for measurements. The material properties of the numerical human body model used in the simulations as well as of the skin material used in the measurements are described in detail in the above publication. Also, the design of the dual-polarized mobile-phone antenna-array with eight vertical feed ports and eight horizontal feed ports is described in detail within the above publication (see Fig. 4 - 6) and is not part of this dataset.\r\n\r\nThis dataset also contains the 3-D polarimetric, directional, complex-valued (real, imaginary) realized-gain patterns simulated and measured in free space, as well as simulated with a numerical human model and measured with the body phantom, all at 28 GHz. The simulated patterns are given in 1-degree resolution in both phi and theta angles. Whereas measured patterns with the body phantom are given in 1-degree resolution in theta angle and 10-degree resolution in phi angle. The patterns are separately given for each of the sixteen antenna ports, where eight are vertically polarized (\"Vpol\") and eight are horizontal polarized (\"Hpol\"). Port order and types are described in detail within the above publication. The 2-D pattern cuts presented in the above publication (in Fig. 8) are subsets of the 3-D patterns in this dataset. The de-embedding of the feed lines and connector losses, which is explained in the paper, was not applied for these (measured) datasets.\r\n\r\nFor convenience the 80 ASCII realized-gain patterns files are divided into five separate subsets (.zip files) which are:\r\n\r\n- Measurement_freeSpace\r\n- Measurement-1_phantom\r\n- Measurement-2_phantom\r\n- Simulated_freeSpace\r\n- Simulated_numericalHuman\r\n\r\nThe format of the 16 ASCII files per .zip file {e.g. Measurement_freeSpace_port1_Vpol.txt } is a follows:\r\n1st column: Theta angle in degrees\r\n2nd column: Phi angle in degrees\r\n3rd column: real part of Gain, theta component, in dBi\r\n4th column: imaginary part of Gain, theta component, in dBi\r\n5th column: real part of Gain, phi component, in dBi\r\n6th column: imaginary part of Gain, phi component, in dBi\r\nIn each file name, the first word defines whether the data is from simulation or measurement (there were two measurements done with the phantom, hence measurement_#1 and #2), the second tells whether the data is obtained in free space or with a user (options: freeSpace, numericalHuman and phantom), the third word defines the port number (port1 through port8) and the last one the polarization of that port (either Vpol or Hpol).\r\n\r\nThe spherical coordinate system is used in accordance to the IEEE-standard spherical coordinate system. The underlying Cartesian coordinate system is shown in the two attached preview (PNG) image files for both human body models, where the z-axis (theta=0 degrees) points to the direction of the head of the human, the x-axis (phi=0 degrees) towards the left-hand side of the human, and the y-axis (phi=90 degrees) towards the back of the human."

DOI: 10.3762/bjnano.11.140\r\n\r\nThis dataset features DFT sampling of adsorption configurations for (1S)-camphor on Cu(111) using the Bayesian Optimization Structure Search (BOSS) method. The 6D configurational search was conducted over 3 molecular translations (x, y, z) and 3 rotations (alpha, beta, gamma). The search range of on-surface translation (x, y) is [-0.5, 0.5] in fractional coordinates of the orthogonal Cu(111) unit cell. The search range of the height of the molecule (z) is [4, 7] Å. All rotations are done in the range [-180, 180] deg. Energy (Eads) is the adsorption energy of (1S)-camphor on Cu(111) computed with DFT. For additional details on search coordinates and DFT calculations please refer to [2].\r\n\r\nThe 6D model of the adsorption energy surface was constructed with 1380 energy points, the full list is provided in the dataset. Rotational and translational symmetries of the system allowed us to build the model using 609 unique DFT calculations, which are denoted by the ID number in each row (note: some IDs appear more than once due to material symmetry). The raw data for each unique calculation ID (001-609) can be found in the NOMAD repository DOI: 10.17172/NOMAD/2021.04.12-1.",

"en": "This dataset contains the results of the experiment described in Nioche et al. (2021). \r\n\r\nThis dataset contains 4 data files:\r\n\r\ndata.csv: the main data file.\r\nstimuli.csv: the description/listing of the stimuli.\r\ndemographic_info.csv: the demographic information about the users.\r\ndata_incl_preliminary_exp.csv: an additional data file that includes the user of the preliminary experiments\r\nThe main data file contains the logs of 53 different users using a self-teaching application for one week. The goal of the users was to learn the English meaning of Japanese kanji. Each user completed between 1370 trials and 1608 trials. Each user saw between 85 and 204 characters. \r\n\r\nTwo additional files are also joint to the data files:\r\n\r\ninfo.ipynb: A Jupyter notebook that provides information about each data file, a few descriptive plots, and an example of data manipulation.\r\ninfo.pdf: A pdf rendering of the notebook.\r\nIf you use this dataset, please refer to it by citing Nioche et al. (2021)."
