The resource is composed of excerpts from audio recordings of Donate Speech, Helpuhe and Tampuhe materials. The material contains annotations on 12,000 utterances in terms of the level of valence and arousal.\nThe annotated samples are in the form of 1-20 seconds lasting audio files, accompanied by corresponding transcripts in text format.",

Aineisto on koostettu Lahjoita Puhetta, Helpuhe ja Tampuhe aineistojen äänitteistä leikatuista puhunnoista. \nAineistossa on annotoitu 12000 puhuntoa tunnesävyn ja virittyneisyyden (engl. valence ja arousal) suhteen. \nAnnotoidut näytteet ovat 1-20 sekuntia pitkiä äänitiedostoja ja aineiston mukana on äänitteitä vastaavat \ntekstimuotoiset litteraatit."

After filling in the form, people are given an opportunity to explain their reasons for resigning in free-text format. This dataset consists of the reasons entered by people when quitting the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland or the Finnish Orthodox Church in 2024. The data is mainly in Finnish. Background information includes age, gender and month of leaving church. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD. The dataset is only available in the languages used for entering the information (mainly Finnish).",

"en": "The online eroakirkosta.fi service, maintained by two Finnish associations, allows people to resign from church by filling in an online form. After filling in the form, people are given an opportunity to explain their reasons for resigning in free-text format. This dataset consists of the reasons entered by 797 people when quitting the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland or the Finnish Orthodox Church in 2022. The dataset is part of the annually supplemented data series which examines the reasons for leaving church submitted by a sample of approximately 1,000 people on the eroakirkosta.fi online service each year. Background information includes age, gender and month of leaving church. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD. The dataset is only available in the languages used for entering the information (mainly Finnish).",

"en": "The data charted attitudes, beliefs and behaviour of Finnish citizens. The survey consists of a core module repeated each collection round and rotating modules on different themes. The special themes of the 2016 collection round were climate change and well-being. The Finnish survey is funded by the Academy of Finland. The first questions pertained to mass media, social trust (e.g. \"Can people be trusted?\"; \"Do people help each other or only work for their own benefit?\"), party preference and political participation in the previous 12 months, the state of Finnish society, national identity and European integration, immigration and multiculturalism, adoption rights of same-sex couples, and trust in institutions and decision-making bodies, such as the Parliament, the police, and the United Nations. Views on well-being and equality were charted with questions about happiness, social relations, safety, and health. The respondents were also asked if they found themselves religious or part of a discriminated-against group, and the reasons for their discrimination were examined. It was also asked if the respondents felt that immigrants should be allowed or denied access to the country based on a variety of reasons (e.g. they had an education, they were Christian, their expertise was sought-after). Attitudes toward asylum seekers were also studied. Views on climate change and global warming were charted with questions regarding energy efficient home appliances, energy consumption, energy availability and different energy sources, the effects of climate change, and actions required for hindering climate change. The next theme pertained to society. Questions covered the acceptability of income disparity, the number of unemployed people, the standard of living that the unemployed and the retired have, social security benefits (their cost, their effect on equality in Finland, and if they make people lazy or unwilling to help each other), and the rights of immigrants. Some questions examined attitudes toward unemployment benefits and if they should be denied from unemployed persons who would not accept a job if offered to them. It was also asked whether a universal basic income system should be employed, and if the respondent would vote for or against a EU membership if a referendum were held. The respondents' sociodemographic background information was charted thoroughly in this study. Among other things, they were asked about household composition, gender, age, marital status, type of residential area, the respondents' and their spouses' and parents' education level and occupation, household net income, and possible trade union membership. One set of questions charted the respondents' values with 21 attitudinal statements based on the Schwartz Human Values Scale, and finally, the functionality of the survey and the response scales was examined with a set of test questions.",

Kysely koostuu samanlaisena jokaisella kierroksella toistuvasta ydinmoduulista sekä jokaiselle kierrokselle erikseen suunnitelluista vaihtuvista moduuleista. Vuoden 2016 erityisteemoja olivat ilmastonmuutos ja hyvinvointi. Tutkimuksen rahoittaa Suomen Akatemia. Ydinmoduuli sisältää kysymyksiä muiden muassa tiedotusvälineistä, sosiaalisesta luottamuksesta, poliittisesta osallistumisesta, yhteiskunnan tilasta, kansallisesta identiteetistä, maahanmuutosta, arvoista, uskonnollisuudesta, taloudellisista ongelmista sekä luottamuksesta instituutioihin ja päätöksentekijöihin. Hyvinvointia, sosiaalisia suhteita ja yhdenvertaisuutta kartoitettiin kysymyksillä onnellisuudesta, sosiaalisista suhteista, turvallisuuden kokemuksista ja terveydentilasta. Lisäksi kysyttiin syrjittyyn ryhmään kuulumisesta ja syrjinnän perusteista. Edelleen tiedusteltiin tuloerojen hyväksyttävyydestä, työttömien ja eläkeläisten elintasosta, sosiaalietuuksista ja -palveluista sekä perustulojärjestelmästä. Ilmastoasioihin ja energiaan liittyen kartoitettiin haastateltavien kokemuksia ja näkemyksiä energiatehokkaiden kodinkoneiden hankinnasta, energiankulutuksesta, Suomen energianlähteistä, energiansaannista, ilmastonmuutosten vaikutuksista ja ilmastonmuutoksen hidastamisen toimenpiteistä. Haastateltujen sosiodemografisia taustoja kartoitettiin tutkimuksessa hyvin laajasti. Heiltä tiedusteltiin muun muassa perherakennetta, sukupuolta, ikää, asuinalueen tyyppiä, koulutusta ja ammattia, puolison ja vanhempien taustoja, kuulumista ammattiliittoon, kotitalouden tuloja ja siviilisäätyä. Viimeiset kysymykset sisälsivät vastaajien perusarvoja 21 väitelauseen avulla kartoittavan Schwartzin arvomittarin (Human Values Scale) ja kysymysten ja vastausskaalojen toimivuutta kontrolloivia testikysymyksiä."

After filling in the form, people are given an opportunity to explain their reasons for resigning in free-text format. This dataset consists of the reasons entered by 941 people when quitting the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland or the Finnish Orthodox Church in 2021. The dataset is part of the annually supplemented data series which examines the reasons for leaving church submitted by a sample of approximately 1,000 people on the eroakirkosta.fi online service each year. Background information includes age, gender and month of leaving church. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD. The dataset is only available in the languages used for entering the information (mainly Finnish, a few comments in English and Swedish).",

"en": "The online eroakirkosta.fi service, maintained by two Finnish associations, allows people to resign from church by filling in an online form. After filling in the form, people are given an opportunity to explain their reasons for resigning in free-text format. This dataset consists of the reasons entered by 961 people when quitting the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland or the Finnish Orthodox Church in 2020. The dataset is part of the annually supplemented data series which examines the reasons for leaving church submitted by a sample of approximately 1,000 people on the eroakirkosta.fi online service each year. Background information includes age, gender and month of leaving church. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD. The dataset is only available in the languages used for entering the information (mainly Finnish, a few comments in English and Swedish).",

"en": "The online eroakirkosta.fi service, maintained by two Finnish associations, allows people to resign from church by filling in an online form. After filling in the form, people are given an opportunity to explain their reasons for resigning in free-text format. This dataset consists of the reasons entered by 1,023 people when quitting the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland or the Finnish Orthodox Church in 2018. The dataset is part of the annually supplemented data series which examines the reasons for leaving church submitted by a sample of approximately 1,000 people on the eroakirkosta.fi online service each year. Background information includes age, gender and month of leaving church. The data have been organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD. The dataset is only available in the languages used for entering the information (mainly Finnish, a few comments in English and Swedish).",

Tämä aineisto on osa aineistosarjaa, jonka puitteissa poimitaan vuosittain noin tuhannen henkilön otos eroakirkosta.fi-verkkopalveluun jätetyistä eroamisen syistä. Eroakirkosta.fi-palvelussa voi eroilmoituksen jättämisen jälkeen vapaaehtoisesti kertoa myös erosyyn. Eron syytä kysytään lomakkeessa sen jälkeen, kun eroilmoitus on jo lähetetty. Palautteet ovat pääosin suomenkielisiä. Lisäksi muutama vastauksista on kirjoitettu englanniksi tai ruotsiksi. Taustatietona on mainittu ikä ja sukupuoli sekä eroamiskuukausi. Aineistosta on tehty html-versio, jonka hakemiston avulla aineistoa on helppo selata."

"en": "Objectives(less than 250 words): Detect and identify the low-lying excited states and possible isomeric states of N = 120 nuclei 207Fr, 209Ac. 176Yb(37Cl,6n)207Fr, until monday and 180Hg(35Cl,6n)209Ac after that.\r\n\r\nAchievements (less than 250 words): Experiment was very successful. We managed to collect sufficient amount of statistics for both nuclei. We collected enough 207Fr data for gamma gamma, even gamma-gamma-gamma cube analysis. Similarly, the 209Ac was collected successfully, 3400 recoil-correlated alpha decays were collected, which is sufficient for recoil-decay tagged gamma-ray singles spectrum. In the Ac data there is a previously unknown isomer state, which we do have some idea where it comes from."

"en": "The Mangshan loess section MS2006 is located on the NW edge of the Mangshan Plateau. The 59m thick S0-L1-S1 loess–pedogenic complex was continuously sampled in 36 partly overlapping, freshly dug, vertical trenches at a 5 cm resolution during a field campaign in 2006.\n\nGrain-size analysis (samples in 10 cm resolution) was performed on a Fritsch Analysette 22 laser particle sizer at the Vrije Universiteit resulting in a grain-size distribution with 56 size classes in the size range 0.15–2000 mm.\n\nSamples (5cm resolution) were analysed using a Bartington MS2 magnetic susceptibility meter at Tongji University. "en": "Accurate and reliable neural decoding of locomotion holds promise for advancing clinical\napplications such as rehabilitation and prosthetic control, as well as for understanding\nneural correlates of action. Recent studies have demonstrated successful decoding of\nlocomotion kinematics across species in motorized treadmill settings. But efforts to decode\nlocomotion speed directly and continuously in more natural contexts—where pace is\nself-selected rather than externally imposed—are scarce, and those that exist generally\nachieve only modest accuracy and require intracranial implants. Here, we introduce an\nasynchronous brain–computer interface (BCI) that processes a stream of cortex-wide,\n32-electrode skull-surface EEG recordings (0.01 - 45 Hz) to decode the instantaneous\nspeed readouts of a non-motorized treadmill during self-paced locomotion in head-fixed\nrats. Using recurrent neural networks, our decoding methodology achieves 0.88 correlation\n(0.78 R²) for speed, primarily driven by visual-cortex electrodes and low frequency (< 8\nHz) oscillations. Moreover, pre-training on a single recording session permitted decoding\non other sessions for only the same rat, suggesting the presence of uniform neural\nsignatures of locomotion that generalize across sessions, but fail to transfer across animals.\nFinally, we found that cortical states not only carry precise information about the current\nspeed, but also about future and past dynamics—up to 1000 ms. Our approach may\ntherefore provide a useful framework for the development of high-performing, non-invasive\nBCI applications for locomotion."

"en": "The physiological signals in this study were collected from two participants working in a laboratory setup. The experiment was conducted to simulate an assembly line, where participants had to assemble a box in five steps. While assembling the box participants were exposed to different stimuli designed to enhance their reactions in three psychophysiological states: stress, attention, and visual fatigue. Also, participants performed sessions in which they were not exposed to any stimuli, just to see their normal reaction towards the task.\r\n\r\nThe dataset includes signals derived from cardiovascular and ocular activity. Cardiovascular signals were recorded using an ECG chest band, and ocular signals were captured via eye-tracking glasses.\r\n\r\nData files\r\n\r\nEach .zip file corresponds to one of the two participants. Inside each .zip, you will find four folders: blinks, fixations, saccades, and ECG data. These folders contain .csv files from multiple recording sessions. Each .csv file is organized into columns with features specific to its category (blinks, fixations, saccades, ECG) and generic identifiers such as:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWorker ID\r\n\r\nExperiment Name\r\n\r\nEvent Label\r\n\r\nEvent Group\r\n\r\nStart\r\n\r\nEnd\r\n\r\nTimestamp\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Event Label column indicates the task the participant was performing at a given moment. For eye-tracking data, it may also include information about the stimulus the worker was looking at (e.g., task_name or screen).\r\n\r\nSimilarly, the Event Group column primarily identifies the product numbers handled during that recording session. For eye-tracking data, it can also indicate whether the operator was looking at a product (box) or a screen.\r\n\r\nFor ECG data, the Start and End columns mark the beginning and end of the event described in Event Label, while Timestamp specifies when the data was collected."

"en": "This is a comprehensive and anonymized dataset of features extracted from GNSS RINEX data from 409 user tracks collected by 18 volunteer users (user indices 1 to 7 and 9 to 19) during the years 2024 and 2025 across five European countries and under 10 transportation modes. The features extracted from the Android data are detailed below, under the Data Description section. The data from user 8 was unusable, so it was removed from this dataset. Volunteers used their own Android phones to run the GNSSlogger app and were asked to send each recorded track via the app’s semi-automatic email feature, including the transport mode in the email subject. Volunteers were instructed to record only one transport mode per track (e.g., to start a new track when switching from bus to walking or from walking to tram, etc.). Therefore, each track corresponds to a unique transportation mode, reflected in the file name. The data can serve, for example, as useful training data for multi-modal classification using pseudorange-based information.\r\n\r\nDetails of the data found can be found in the Readme file uploaded in the same *zip file as the 409 tracks (the track data is provided in *csv format). The dataset is sufficient for a typical hygrothermal software validation and benchmarking.\r\n\r\nInformation includes, for example, geometry, temperature, relative humidity, both initial and boundary values, and material properties that vary with relative humidity. The detailed list of the variables is given below in the \"Structure\" section. Long, descriptive variable names are used to minimize the need for separate documentation.\r\n\r\nThe data is primarily machine-readable to support large-scale simulation program validation, but remains accessible to humans. Common web browsers and text editors can open the JSON-files. Examples of accessing the data with Python are provided in \"src\" folder. JSON is the primary format, supplemented by additional images and XLSX files containing some of the same data. Material properties are also provided as TXT files for easy COMSOL readability.\r\n\r\nSome files are repeated at the top level for easy preview on the Zenodo webpage."

"en": "The study surveyed Finnish six- and seven-year-olds' thoughts on safety. Safety is explored through five themes: things that promote safety, how safety is experienced in different environments, experiences of insecurity, the definition of safety and children's experiences of being interviewed. First, the child's parent was asked for background information, followed by questions for the child. First, the child was asked about things that make him or her feel safe. The things that promote safety were divided into things, places and people. Next, the experience of safety in different environments was discussed. The child was asked about the experience of safety at preschool and outdoors. The child was also asked what makes or would make being outside safe. In relation to experiences of insecurity, the children's experiences of fear, things and places that cause fear and things that ease fear were explored. The definition of safety was explored by asking children directly what they thought safety meant. Finally, they were asked for their opinion on responding to the survey. Background variables included the child's gender, region and major region of residence, number of parents/guardians and children in the household, parents' education level, financial situation of the household and the language used in the interview.",
"fi": "Aineistossa selvitetään 6-7-vuotiaiden Suomessa asuvien lasten ajatuksia turvallisuudesta. Turvallisuutta käsitellään viiden teeman kautta, joita ovat turvallisuutta edistävät asiat, turvallisuuden kokeminen eri ympäristöissä, turvattomuuden kokemukset, turvallisuuden määritelmä ja lasten kokemukset haastattelusta. Aluksi lapsen vanhemmalta kysyttiin taustatietoja, jonka jälkeen kysyttiin kysymyksiä lapselta itseltään. Ensimmäisenä lapselta kysyttiin asioista, jotka tuovat turvallisen olon. Turvallisuutta edistävät asiat jaettiin turvallisuutta edistäviin tavaroihin, paikkoihin ja ihmisiin. Seuraavaksi käsiteltiin turvallisuuden kokemista eri ympäristöissä. Lapselta kysyttiin turvallisuuden kokemuksesta esikoulussa ja ulkona. Lisäksi kysyttiin, mikä tekee tai tekisi ulkona olemisesta turvallista. Turvattomuuden kokemuksiin liittyen selvitettiin lasten pelon kokemuksia, pelkoa aiheuttavia asioita ja paikkoja sekä pelkoa helpottavia asioita. Turvallisuuden määritelmää tarkasteltiin kysymällä lapsilta suoraan, mitä he ajattelevat turvallisuuden tarkoittavan. Lopuksi kysyttiin mielipidettä kyselyyn vastaamisesta. Aineiston taustamuuttujia ovat lapsen sukupuoli, maakunta ja suuralue, huoltajien ja lasten määrä taloudessa, vanhempien koulutustaso, talouden toimeentulo sekä haastattelussa käytetty kieli."

"en": "The study charted how 6-year-old Finnish children exercised and spent their leisure time. Both the children and their parents were interviewed for the study. The study was funded by the State Youth Council. First, the parents were asked about their children's hobbies, participation in instructed activities during leisure time and the amount of exercise they got. Reasons behind the child not exercising (e.g. they did not like exercise, had no time or had a fear of not succeeding) were also charted. The parents whose children did exercise were asked whether various statements corresponded to their children's exercise activities and hobbies, for example, whether the child found it fun and found friends through the hobby and whether the instruction was of good quality educationally. Views were also charted on what the parents thought the children's hobbies should be like by presenting the same statements as in the previous question. Finally, the parents were asked to evaluate how much they paid for their children's exercise activities and hobbies per month. After the parents had completed their survey, the children were interviewed. They were asked how they exercised, what was fun about exercising and how they would want to exercise. The children's opinions on good exercise places were also charted, as well as whether they thought competing with others was fun. The children's leisure time was examined with questions concerning what they liked or did not like to do on the weekends. They were also asked whether the exercise activities and hobbies their parents had mentioned were fun for them, whether they had friends and whether they wanted to have more friends. The background variables included the child's mother tongue, age and area of residence, as well as the parents' level of education, financial circumstances and the number of children and parents/guardians in the family.",
"fi": "Aineistossa selvitettiin 6-vuotiaiden lasten tapoja liikkua ja viettää vapaa-aikaa. Aineistoa varten haastateltiin 6-vuotiaita ja heidän vanhempiaan. Tiedonkeruun rahoitti valtion nuorisoneuvosto. Ensin lapsen vanhemmalta kysyttiin taustatietoja. Vanhemmat kertoivat mitä lapset harrastavat, onko toiminta ohjattua ja kuinka paljon lapsi liikkuu. Jos lapsi ei harrastanut minkäänlaista liikuntaa, vanhempaa pyydettiin arvioimaan syitä harrastamattomuudelle. Liikuntaa harrastavien lasten vanhemmilta kysyttiin erilaisten väittämien sopivuutta harrastukseen, kuten onko harrastus edullista, lapsen mielestä kivaa, tai saako lapsi sitä kautta kavereita. Kaikilta vanhemmilta kysyttiin myös, kuinka toivottavana he pitävät sitä, että lapsen liikuntaharrastus olisi edellä mainittujen piirteiden kaltaista. Lopuksi vanhempia pyydettiin arvioimaan, kuinka paljon lapsen liikkuminen ja urheileminen maksaa kuukaudessa. Lapsia haastateltiin oman vanhempansa jälkeen. Lapset kertoivat, millä tavalla he liikkuvat, ja mikä heidän mielestään liikkumisessa on kivaa. Lapset myös kertoivat, millä tavalla he haluaisivat liikkua. Lapsia pyydettiin luettelemaan hyviä liikuntapaikkoja. Lapsilta kysyttiin myös, onko kilpaileminen heidän mielestään mukavaa vai ei. Seuraavaksi lapsilta kysyttiin, mikä viikonloppuisin on kivaa ja mikä tylsää, ja millaista heidän harrastamassaan ohjatussa toiminnassa on. Lopuksi lapsilta kysyttiin kavereista ja siitä, milloin kavereiden kanssa on kivaa ja milloin ei. Taustamuuttujia aineistossa ovat lapsen äidinkieli ja sukupuoli, asuinpaikka, vanhempien koulutustaso, taloudellinen toimeentulo sekä lasten ja huoltajien lukumäärä perheessä."

"en": "The Child Barometer 2016 charted how 6-year-old Finnish children felt about trust. Views on trust were surveyed on terms of social relations, emotions, and bullying. With regard to social relations, the children were asked about the number of friends they had, whether they received praise, and whether their parents and kindergarten teachers listened to them. The children were also asked if they would ask an unfamiliar adult for help if they lost their parents in a store, and which things they felt they were good at. Regarding bullying, the children were asked what they thought bullying was, and whether adults in the kindergarten would help if a child was bullied. Emotions were charted by asking the respondents in which situations they had a fun time or an unpleasant time with their family. Furthermore, the children were asked what made them happy and what made them sad. Finally, the children described what they would tell a foreigner about Finland. The background variables included the child's age, regional variables, the number of parents/guardians in the household, number of children in the household, mother's level of education, father's level of education, household gross income, and whether and how long the child had been in kindergarten before pre-school.",
"fi": "Tutkimuksessa kartoitettiin 6-vuotiaiden lasten kokemuksia luottamuksesta. Luottamusta tarkasteltiin muun muassa ihmissuhteiden ja tunteiden näkökulmasta. Ihmissuhteisiin liittyen lapsilta kysyttiin kavereiden määrää, kokemuksia siitä, missä on hyvä ja kuuntelevatko vanhemmat ja päiväkodin aikuiset lasta. Lisäksi tiedusteltiin, saako lapsi kehuja ja kysyykö hän vieraalta aikuiselta apua, jos joutuu kaupassa eroon vanhemmistaan. Kysyttiin myös lapsen näkemyksiä kiusaamisesta ja perheen kanssa vietetystä ajasta. Tunteisiin liittyen kartoitettiin lapsen kokemuksia tilanteista ja asioista, jotka tekevät hänet iloiseksi tai surulliseksi. Lopuksi lapselta kysyttiin vielä, mitä hän kertoisi ulkomaalaiselle Suomesta. Aineiston taustamuuttujia ovat lapsen ikä, maakunta ja suuralue, huoltajien ja lasten määrä taloudessa, isän ja äidin koulutustaso, talouden vuositulot sekä lapsen päiväkotitausta. Lisäksi aineistossa on painomuuttuja, jolla on painotettu vastaajajoukko valtakunnallisesti edustavaksi sukupuolen ja asuinalueen mukaan."
