"en": "This dataset contains the IDA Indoor Climate and Energy (IDA ICE) simulation models used in the research article \"Benchmarking Danish, Estonian and Finnish NZEB requirements with European Commission recommendations in residential and office buildings.\" The models represent three distinct building types: a new office building, an apartment building, and a single-family house. Each building was initially designed to comply with the respective national Nearly Zero-Energy Building (NZEB) requirements of Denmark, Estonia, or Finland. The primary purpose of these models was to systematically compare NZEB requirements and energy calculation methodologies across these three countries and against European Commission (EC) recommendations (EU 2016/1318). The simulations accounted for varying climatic conditions (using country-specific Test Reference Years and climate-corrected U-values based on heating-degree-days), national calculation methods, and standardized EN 16798-1:2019 input data. The models facilitate detailed dynamic simulations to analyze energy balance, primary energy (PE) consumption, and the impact of different Primary Energy Factors (PEFs). They were used to benchmark national NZEB performance levels, assess alignment with EC NZEB PE thresholds for Nordic and Oceanic climates, and investigate the influence of methodological discrepancies on building energy performance outcomes. The dataset supports the reproducibility of the study's findings and allows for further investigation into NZEB strategies in these regions."

The RDF data has been converted from the source data provided by multiple Finnish cultural heritage organizations; we call the new dataset LetterSampo Finland. The Knowledge Graph contains harmonized data of: Letters, Actors, Fonds, Places, Occupations. The data model is designed for epistolary letter data, including the information about the sender, recipient, time of sending, and places of sending and receiving. To test and demonstrate its usefulness, this Knowledge Graph is in use in the semantic portal LetterSampo Finland, explained in more detail in the project page."

"en": "Background: Laccases can oxidize a broad spectrum of substrates, offering promising applications in various sectors, such as bioremediation, biomass fractionation in future biorefineries, and synthesis of biochemicals and biopolymers. However, laccase discovery and optimization with a desirable pH optimum remains a challenge due to the labor-intensive and time-consuming nature of the traditional laboratory methods.\r\nResults: This study presents a machine learning (ML)-integrated approach for predicting pH optima of basidiomycete fungal laccases, utilizing a small, curated dataset against a vast metagenomic data. Comparative computational analyses unveiled the structural and pH-dependent solubility differences between acidic and neutral-alkaline laccases, helping us understand the molecular bases of enzyme pH optimum. The pH profiling of the two ML-predicted alkaline laccase candidates from the basidiomycete fungus Lepista nuda further validated our computational approach, showing the accuracy of this comprehensive method.\r\nConclusions: This study uncovers the efficacy of ML in the prediction of enzyme pH optimum from minimal datasets, marking a significant step towards harnessing computational tools for systematic screening of enzymes for biotechnology applications."

The first phase is to implement in prisons wide survey and interview survey on the trauma experiences of women with criminal backgrounds and their traumas consequences. This empirical data consists of the survey (n=37). Questionnaire is called Traumatic Antecedents Questionnaire (TAQ). Data were analyzed using quantitative methods.\r\n",
"fi": "Rikostaustaiset naiset, traumakokemukset ja naiserityisten palveluiden kehittäminen (RITA) -hankkeessa toteutettiin vankilarangaistusta suorittaville naisille suunnattu kysely- ja haastattelututkimus. Siinä tutkittiin naisten elämänkulussa olleita traumakokemuksia ja niiden vaikutuksia heidän palvelutarpeisiinsa. Lisäksi kartoitettiin ja arvioitiin olemassa olevia päihde-, terveys-, aikuis- ja asumissosiaalityön palveluita tunnistettujen palvelutarpeiden näkökulmasta. Tulosten pohjalta kehitettiin tutkimusperustaisesti yhdessä ammattilaisten, järjestöjen ja kokemusasiantuntijoiden kanssa traumakokemukset tunnistava naiserityinen yhteistyö- ja palvelumalli, joka tiivistää naisten vapautumisen valmistelua, tukee sen onnistumista ja pyrkii vastaamaan paremmin rikostaustaisten naisten tarpeisiin.\r\n\r\nVankilan aineistonkeruu alkoi 24.4.2023 ja päättyi 22.9.2023. Tämä empiirinen aineisto koostuu naisvangeille suunnatusta kyselytutkimuksesta (n= 37). Naisvankien kyselyaineisto on kerätty Traumatic Antecedents Questionnaire (TAQ)- kyselylomaketta käyttäen."

"en": "This experimental campaign characterized the temporal behaviour of a camera and a photomultiplier tube (PMT), used as light sensors in a high-resolution Fastie-Ebert type spectrometer (POSSU) for electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) ion source plasma research. The transient response of the sensors was measured with pulsed helium spectrum tube. After this the sensors were used to measure emission profile transients of low (Ar+) and high (Ar9+) charge state ions from pulsed argon plasma produced with JYFL 14 GHz ECR ion source. This data package contains RAW optical data measured with the camera and PMT, emission line profiles extracted from the RAW data, measured Ar9+ ion beam current transients, charge state distributions, and optical emission spectra. The package also contains rudimentary tools for opening the provided data using python. The experimental work was performed between November 2024 and January 2025."

"en": "The purpose of this data and analysis set is to examine theses related to competitive gaming in Finland. The data was collected as part of the Central Finland e-sports competence cluster project carried out between February 2023 and April 2025, as part of which a database with a search system was created from the data for use by educational institutions and organizations. The database service was completed in spring 2025\r\n\r\nThe data under review was collected mainly during autumn 2023 and spring 2024. The latest additions to the data were made in May 2024. Several theses have been completed since then, but the collection of data for the construction and testing of the database was left at the aforementioned time and new additions to the database data will be made during summer 2025. The database can be found at https://coesportresearch.fi/.",
"fi": "Tämän aineisto- ja analyysikokonaisuuden tarkoituksena on tarkastella Suomessa tehtyjä kilpapelaamiseen liittyviä opinnäytetöitä. Aineisto on koottu osana helmikuun 2023 ja huhtikuun 2025 välisenä aikana tehtyä Keski-Suomen e-urheilun osaamiskeskittymähanketta, jonka osaksi aineistosta luotiin tietokanta hakujärjestelmän kanssa oppilaitosten ja organisaatioiden käyttöön. Tietokantapalvelu valmistui kevään 2025 aikana \r\n\r\nTarkasteltava aineisto on koottu pääosin vuosien syksyn 2023 ja kevään 2024 aikana. Viimeisimmät lisäykset aineistoon on tehty toukokuussa 2024. Opinnäytteitä on tämän jälkeen valmistunut useita, mutta tietokannan rakentamista ja testaamista varten aineiston keruu jätettiin mainittuun aikaan ja uusia lisäyksiä tietokanta-aineistoon tehdään kesän 2025 aikana. The data includes geometries, spin-orbit couplings, excitation energies, and ISC rates for 98,082 conformations of ten different alkoxy radical dimers. Three ML models—Random Forest, CatBoost, and a feed-forward neural network—were trained using geometrical descriptors as inputs. Scripts for hyperparameter optimization, feature selection, and evaluation are also provided."

"en": "We use a five-year panel of Ugandan SMEs, supplemented with phone-survey data from August 2020, to analyze how the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic affected profits and employment. Most firms had employees, enabling us to investigate whether - and how - the crisis reshaped SMEs’ job-creation capacity, with particular focus on gender differences. Profits fell substantially for all firms, yet male entrepreneurs paradoxically expanded their workforce - suggesting that hiring under crisis may arise partly from social obligations. Meanwhile, female entrepreneurs bore heavier caregiving loads and relied more on extended family support, potentially hampering future growth through added caregiving and reciprocal obligations."

"en": "Replicated gear failure dataset for rotary machinery, specifically azimuthing thruster. Dataset consisting of vibrational data. The data has been collected using an 9:1 scaled azimuth thruster testbench with 11 sensors; 2 torque transducers, 4 accelerometers and 5 rotational encoders. 2 Bosch Rexroth motors used to drive and simulate load on the system. The sensors and motors were hooked up to National Instruments DAQs and LabVIEW software was used to control the whole system. Failures were recreated using different methods to represent real failure mode. Data in this dataset has been collected using a sampling frequency of 16000Hz"
