Background information included whether the text was collected as part of the pilot testing, the writer's age, gender, attained degree, year of graduation, and field of work. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD. The data were collected as part of the Game Music Everyday Memories (GAMEM) project funded by Kone Foundation. The writing guidelines instructed the writers to discuss important and meaningful memories related to game music. The participants were asked to write about, among other topics, the reasons why a specific game music memory was meaningful to them, what kinds of emotions and thoughts were connected to the memory, how the game was part of the memory, and what kind of relationship they have with the game. Main themes in the texts included different games and their contents and the experiences and emotions brought about by game music. Background information included the writer's gender, age, gaming activity and the time they spent playing games and listening to music on an average day. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD. Kirjoitusohjeessa vastaajia pyydettiin kertomaan itselleen tärkeäksi koetusta pelimusiikista ja siihen liittyvistä muistoista ja musiikin herättämistä tunteista ja kokemuksista. Vastaajat pohtivat niin menneitä kuin viimeaikaisiakin muistoja. survey charted Finnish perceptions of the image and services of parishes of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. The study was conducted as a collaboration between the Church Research Institute and NayaDaya. FSD holdings contain a related dataset FSD3350 Parish Image and Knowledge Survey 2018, which includes some of the same questions. First, the respondents were asked to describe a specific parish, which was determined by their municipality of residence, with one adjective. Two questions examined the feelings that the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland and the respondents' own parish evoked in them (e.g. sadness, disappointment, pride, admiration). The general impression the respondents had of their parish (positive, neutral or negative) was surveyed, and the respondents were also presented with word pairs and asked which alternative they thought described the parish best (e.g. from very liberal to very conservative and very close to very distant). Next, the significance of various parish services for the respondents was examined, for example, whether it was important to them that the parish took care of the disadvantaged, supported through different crises, and organised activities for children and youth. The respondents were also asked to evaluate how well the parish had succeeded in the same matters. Next, the respondents were asked what they thought were the most important matters the parish should focus on when organising activities. Questions also charted whether the respondents had come across the parish in some way in the past year (e.g. on social media, at events, as a volunteer). The respondents were then asked how often they participated in activities organised by the parish, how often they prayed and whether their latest experience with services or events organised by the church had been positive or negative. The sources of the respondents' information on the parish, such as the local parish newspaper, national media (radio, TV, newspapers), or friends and acquaintances, were surveyed. If the participants were familiar with the local parish newspaper, they were asked how often they read the newspaper and how interesting they thought various themes of the newspaper were (e.g. local topics and events, international and multicultural topics, well-being and health, or topics relating to the Christian message). Finally, the respondents' views on parish activities and services during the COVID-19 pandemic were surveyed. The respondents were asked how important they thought various activities were during the pandemic (e.g. providing mental and spiritual support, food aid, or online worship services) and whether they had personally used any services provided by the parish during the coronavirus crisis. Opinions on how well the parishes had succeeded in supporting people during the pandemic were also examined. Questions also examined how many friends the sixth-graders had, how often they met with their friends, whether they ever felt lonely, and how happy they thought they were. The sixth-graders' home environment and family were surveyed with questions about household composition, languages spoken at home, worries about money, and major life changes (e.g. moving, parents' divorce). Views on life and other people were charted by asking the respondents whether they agreed or disagreed with various statements on giving and receiving help, how much they trusted other people, and whether they had a positive or negative attitude towards different groups of people. The interviewees are selected from two different target groups. The first group consists of people who have sought help for compulsive gaming, and the second groups consists of people who play video games competitively for at least 30 hours a week. The dataset is part of a follow-up study. First, the interviewees were asked to describe how they started digital gaming. The interviewees were also asked about their career, family, and friends. Next, they were asked to describe what a normal day or week of digital gaming was like for them and to describe in as much detail as possible one digital gaming experience from the previous month. Additionally, the interviews included questions about the interviewees' other hobbies and their satisfaction with their current job. In relation to gaming, the interviewees were asked whether they felt that they spent too much time playing digital games. Background information included, among others, the interviewee's gender, information on which interviewee group the interviewee was part of, and the date of the interview. Pelaamiseen liittyen kysyttiin myös esimerkiksi sitä, pelaako haastateltava omasta mielestään liian paljon. The courses took place in autumn 2017 and spring 2018 and were mainly aimed at student teachers of physical education. A total of 35 student teachers attended the courses, 19 of whom agreed to be interviewed. The data were collected as part of the national 'Let's Move It' research project that was piloted and implemented with the aim of increasing physical activity and decreasing sedentary behaviour in upper secondary schools. The study builds on previous findings from the 'Let's Move It' project and it received funding from the 'Forging ahead with Research' key project funding scheme. Main themes of the interviews included the interviewees' experiences with the content of the course, the feasibility and effectiveness of motivational interventions and support for behavioural change. In relation to the content of the course, the interviewees were asked about the most useful aspects of the course and possible areas for improvement. Interview questions related to the feasibility and effectiveness of the interactional techniques were used to explore how the students practised using the techniques and which of these techniques they found particularly effective. Additionally, possible barriers to change were investigated. The interviewees were also asked about possible changes in their interaction styles, what tools they used to support these changes, and which factors had contributed to or hindered their change of style. A list of interaction techniques utilised in the course was used as stimulus material and shown to the interviewees, as well as a diary template that was used to support the change in interaction style. Throughout the interview, the aim was to obtain concrete examples of interactional situations or other experiences that had occurred in a professional role in the context of sport or during leisure time. This dataset consists of 1) students' responses from four self-report surveys conducted over the study period, 2) accelerometer data on the students' moderate and vigorous physical activity (MVPA), sedentary time and breaks in sedentary time measured during three seven-day periods over the study period, 3) the students' body composition measurements made at the beginning and end of the study period, and 4) physical activity diary data. The main themes in the surveys were the students' PA habits and motivation, SB habits, well-being, health behaviour, health status, and personality. The research was funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture (OKM/81/626/2014) and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health (201310238). Students were divided into control and intervention groups. The intervention group participated in a variety of measures, such as six Let's Move It group sessions and pause exercises. They also had a possibility to use gym balls and were provided with online material and a workbook. Teachers in the schools played an active role and data were also collected from them (see FSD3446). The four online questionnaire surveys mainly repeat the same questions. Health status was surveyed with questions on health issues, stress, smoking, eating and sleeping. Other questions charted the amount and kind of physical activity, motivation and barriers for taking exercise, measures taken for enhancing the PA motivation, future PA intentions, perceived PA impact, sedentary behaviour (sitting) and motivation for reducing SB. The surveys were conducted before the start of the programme (initial survey), and then three weeks, six weeks and 14 months after the start of the programme (intervention surveys). Accelerometer data on MVPA, sedentary time and breaks in sedentary time were collected through students wearing an accelerometer (3-axis Hookie AM 20) fixed to an elastic belt and placed on their hip for seven consecutive days during waking hours, except during shower and other water activities. There were three such seven-day periods: before the start of the programme, at the end of the programme and six months after the end of the programme. The students also filled in paper questionnaires daily (physical activity diaries) during those seven-day periods, specifying whether they were mainly at school, working or in practical training, or at home that day, whether they had any illnesses or injuries preventing physical activity or were engaged in water activities. Body composition measurements were made with TANITA bioimpedance measurement device (Tanita scale measurements) at two time points: before the start of the programme and six months after the end of the programme. Opiskelijoilta seurattiin neljällä eri aikapisteellä mm. fyysisen aktiivisuuden määrää ja laatua, persoonallisuudenpiirteitä, liikuntauskomuksia, motivaatiota ja kehonkoostumusta. Aineisto koostuu neljästä lomakekyselystä, tutkimuksen alussa ja lopussa tehdyistä Tanita-kehonkoostumusmittauksista sekä kolmessa aikapisteessä tehdyistä HOOKIE-liikemittauksista ja liikuntapäiväkirjoista. Tutkimusta rahoittivat Opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriö (OKM/81/626/2014) sekä Sosiaali- ja terveysministeriö (201310238). Opiskelijat jaettiin kontrolli- ja interventioryhmiin. Interventioryhmä osallistui monimuotoiseen liikunnan lisäämisen ja passiivisen ajan vähentämisen toimenpiteisiin, kuten kuuteen Let´s move it-ryhmätapaamiseen sekä taukojumppiin, ja oppilailla oli mahdollisuus käyttää jumppapalloja tunneilla. Lisäksi oppilaitoksissa suoritettiin julistekampanja ja oppilaille tarjottiin materiaalia nettisivujen ja työkirjan avuin. Toiminnoissa keskeisinä toimijoina olivat oppilaitosten opettajat, joilta kerättiin myös tutkimusaineistoa (FSD3446). Neljästi toistetut sessiokyselyt sisältävät pääosin samat muuttujat muutamin poikkeuksin. Kyselyissä kartoitettiin aluksi vastaajan terveydentilaa: vammoja, psykosomaattisista oireita, stressiä, fyysistä kuntoa, unen laatua ja syömistapoja. Seuraavaksi kysyttiin liikunnan määrästä, rasittavuudesta ja tavoista sekä liikkumiseen suhtautumista väitteiden avulla. Vastaajalta tiedusteltiin esimerkiksi, liikunnan harrastamisen syitä ja mitä vaikutuksia sykettä nostavalla liikunnalla 1,5 tunnin ajan viikossa voisi olla elämään. Seuraavaksi tiedusteltiin väitteiden avulla liikunnan ympäristötekijöitä, läheisten suhtautumista liikkumiseen, seuraavan kuukauden liikuntasuunnitelmia ja uskoa liikuntaohjelman suorittamista kohtaan. Vastaajalta tiedusteltiin myös, onko edellisen kahden viikon aikana miettinyt erilaisia liikkumiseen liittyviä asioita ja mitä liikuntaan liittyviä toimia vastaaja on tehnyt edellisen kolmen viikon aikana. Lopun kysymykset koskivat persoonallisuutta, yhtäjaksoista istumista ja makoilua sekä kouluympäristöä. Vastaajalta tiedusteltiin mm. istumisen määrää tunteina ja minuutteina, istumisen keskeyttämistä ja istumisen vähentämisen hyötyjä. Hookie-mittauksessa henkilö on pitänyt kolmena eri ajankohtana (a. ennen liikuntaohjelmaa, b. heti sen jälkeen ja c. puoli vuotta ohjelman päättymisen jälkeen) viikon verran liikkumista mittaavaa laitetta. Tietoja on kerätty päivittäin mm. liikkumattomasta ajasta, istumiseen käytetystä ajasta, eri tasoiseen urheiluun käytetystä ajasta sekä askelten- ja juoksuaskelten määrästä. Opiskelijat täyttivät paperisen kyselylomakkeen (liikuntapäiväkirjan) joka päivä mittausviikon ajan. Lomakkeessa kysyttiin olivatko vastaajat olleet kyseisenä päivänä pääosin koulussa, töissä/työharjoittelussa tai jossain muualla, harrastivatko vastaajat sinä päivänä uintia tai vesiliikuntaa ja oliko vastaajilla sairautta tai vammaa, joka hankaloitti liikkumista. Tanita-kehonkoostumusmittauksia on tehty kahdessa ajankohdassa: ennen liikuntaohjelman alkua (a.) ja puoli vuotta liikuntaohjelman jälkeen (b.). Kyselyssä on jätetty mittauksen tiedot muun muassa painosta, pituudesta, kehon rasvan määrästä ja painoindeksistä. Aineisto sisältää koostumusmittaukset myös erikseen kehon eri osista. Taustamuuttujina kyselyssä ovat mm. sukupuoli, ikä, tutkinto, paino, pituus ja vanhempien
